Hey everyone so this chapter is gonna be going back about 5 days and will be bringing it back up to right where is. I thank everyone for the reviews, favorites, and follows. I am putting updates on my discord. Review responses:
Xerzo: I appreciate the review again. I do have an outline of where I want the story to go, but some of it is just off the cuff so to speak. Prime example of that is the person behind trying to kidnap Haku. It is something that I thought of and ran with it.
As for the seal it honestly didn't do much but it is kinda like someone under sleeping gas trying to mentally wake up. The majority of it is just the stress of breaking that hold that is causing the drain on him. Realistically speaking Naruto is currently around 45% chakra wise and will take the 24 hours to recover, that is gonna have a fun surprise afterwards. Otherwise his stats are back to normal. And Naruto slept inside once after the going for 3 days without sleeping , fighting Zabuza with using a very straining ability and killing a gang of 50 people it. So, I am not surprised he wanted to just sleep in a bed. That in turn gave Sasuke an opportunity. Mind you Naruto was still on guard and any killing intent no matter how small would have set him off. The problem was Sasuke didn't give off killing intent to put the seals on, so Naruto didn't notice the seals being put on. He did however know of the effects which is why he broke them as easily as he did.
Haku is gonna be interesting. Not going into too much I have plans for her and what is gonna be going on in Konoha is gonna affect a lot of things.
As for the crusade well, it came to me that instead of him just training. I also put it more into the main villains for the first half and part of the second. Kakashi isn't upset that he killed, he is upset that he did it without prior getting approval and abandoned his team.
As for your guess at the end that is interesting idea. Who knows he might.

Tenjo: I understand your situation with the size. I will say this to everyone that reads. If you do not like the story then do not read. I appreciate the feedback and everything but I do not plan on doing smut or anything like. As for the age, well I did change some ages and I will continue to do so. It is one of the reasons I plan on not having Kurenai in it. I do not expect everyone to be happy with the story. I do not expect others to change their personalities. I will try my best to have Hinata be the kind caring person who she is as well as Ino being the person she is. Hell, I have Anko still be the strong will person she is. It will get harder as it goes on but that is part of the fun in writing. As for my choice in people well DO NOT READ IT! I write as I want, if you do not like the system I have toned it down and I am trying to tone done but there are times I am gonna need to bring it in. So respectfully I say go away. It is good to see that we have people reading the story that enjoy it for what it is. I read a lot of different stories from harems to 1 on 1 relationships. Some just can't be happy that a story is getting more views. Anyways I do not plan on making lemons in my story. I can't write them and I don't even want to attempt.

Section 1 Dangers and Hard feelings
Back in Konoha day Squad 7 leaving
Anko was more prepared for today. Mizuki hadn't cracked yet except for a few details about how he was gonna make Naruto die a painful death. Well that is never gonna happen but it took all her will power not to kill the man. She basically begged the Hokage for permission to use the more dangerous tactics on Mizuki.
Walking into the T&I building, Anko was in a good mood. Ibiki saw her and had a sense of dread. "Did you get approval?" he hesitated to ask.
"You know I did. I am finally able to go all out. Call Inoichi over because once I am done his mind will be an open book." Anko cheerfully replied. She had wanted to break this man more than anyone because of his attitude towards her Naruto.
"Well, lets get started." Ibiki sighed walking into the interrogation room as he had someone send for Inoichi.
Inside the room was Mizuki, bound in a straight jacket with chakra suppression seals on it constantly having his chakra and strength. Upon seeing Anko, Mizuki couldn't help but to call out, "Oh, look the snake whore is back. Or do you prefer the Uzumaki slut now? HAHAHAHA!"
As he said that the temperature dropped several degrees in the room. Mizuki's laugh was cut off immediately causing the man to turn to white as a ghost as he said a full manifestation of Anko's killing intent. "You know Mizuki, it is funny. You decided to taunt a person thinking you are invincible in here. While I can't kill you until we get our info, that doesn't mean that I can't break you to the point of wishing I would give you the release of death. I am so glad that the Hokage gave his approval." Mizuki heard as he watched the sinister smile.
Several hours later
Hizuren was reading the report from Inoichi. 'Damn it. So, it was Orochimaru behind Mizuki and more operations.' He thought. 'These are the days I wish Minato was still alive.'
Reading the report of Anko's torture session made him even uneasy.
**WARNING FOR THE GUYS. IT HURT ME AS I AM WRITING IT.**
Anko had went into detail. First she cut off his clothes then proceeded to have non-poisonous snake bite from his feet to his waist. The torture of each bite was bad. The image of the bites was painful every 2 inches was a snake bite. The worst part was when he didn't break after the leg bites she went for his manhood. Needless to say, that made even the Hokage queasy and he had fought in 2 wars. The bites went everywhere. The fact that the man had passed out from the pain after spilling his guts for the information should be enough to give you details.
With a sigh, Hizuren looked at all the information they were given. The go in-between man was a mystery due to Mizuki's never seeing the man's face. The only thing that was known was that the man was apparently he was a mercenary now that was tasked with acquiring people for Orochimaru. 'Makes me think of the Raikage's plot to get the Byakugan.' He thought as he noticed the Kekkei Genkais that Mizuki helped kidnap. Honestly it made him sick to think that his village was kidnapping people.
"Neko, I need you to get Ursa and Tora for me. I have a mission for them." Hizuren said to his Anbu guard. "I have a mission for his squad that needs to be of the most importance."
"Yes, Hokage." Neko said as she hurried off.
'Orochimaru, how far have you fallen?' Hizuren thought as he looked out the window getting ready the mission to find the mysterious man and what Orochimaru's plan is.
That night
Yūgao and Anko were sitting at Ichiraku Ramen shop. They were both missing Naruto. "So, how bad did he taunt you?" Yūgao asked.
"Well, let's just say that the scum is never gonna be able to have children ever again even if he does get out." Anko said as she had an evil smirk on her face as she took her chopsticks as food was ready.
"Oh, Anko I am just glad you showed him that our boyfriend is not someone he can talk shit about." Ayame said as she brought her fellow girls their ramen.
The older girls with Hana and Naori have been spending more time than with the rest of the girls. The girls were always there to help each other. It was fun to have time to just hangout with others their age. "You know I did! That man will never say anything bad about us again." Anko proudly exclaimed.
"You may have gone to far with breaking him though." Yūgao said in a stern voice.
"Yeah, yeah. You just wish you could have killed him instead of capturing him." Anko countered.
Yūgao blushed at that. Since being together with Naruto she had let her hair down so to speak. No longer was she as strict on following rules as she was in the past while outside the Anbu. "Ayame, are you coming over tonight? All the girls are getting together to watch a couple of movies." Yūgao asked as she was trying to avoid the conversation.
"Yeah, once dinner rush dies down, I will be over. Do I need to make snacks before I come?" Ayame asked. She had become more of a house wife in a sense since her relationship had started. She found that with the girls they each had their own unique quirks. Hers just happen to be cooking.
"Hell yeah! Your cooking is the best!" Anko yelled getting a couple of looks as she did so. She didn't care and even flipped off one of the guys looking.
Before Ayame could respond however, someone sat down next to them. Hearing the infamous coughing, Yūgao knew who it was. 'Of course, he had to show up.' Yūgao thought as she looked at the Jounin known as Hayate sit next to her. "Hey, Yūgao. Good to see you.*Cough, Cough*" He said as he sat to order.
"What can I get for you today?" Ayame asked knowing the situation that was going to happen. Regardless she still needed to help the business.
"Hmm, can I get a Miso Ramen. *Cough*" Hayate said as he looked over at Yūgao. "So, Yūgao how have you been?"
"I have been good." Yūgao said reapplying her Anbu calmness.
"So, I was wondering. Would you happen to want to go out to *Cough Cough* dinner sometime this week?" Hayate asked not realizing how uncomfortable it made the atmosphere.
"Hayate, I have told you I am no longer interested." Yūgao said remaining stoic.
"What? Come on. We used to hangout *Cough* all the time." Hayate said as Ayame just returned with his ramen. "Thank you."
"Yes, that was when we were both training to be sword masters. The times have changed." Yūgao explained remaining as calm on the outside as possible. Inside she was a raging storm.
"It will be for old time sake. *Cough Cough* We can go out and have a good time." Hayate said not realizing that he had missed his chance a long time ago.
"HEY buddy! She said she isn't interested!" Anko yelled interrupting the entire conversation.
"It is ok, Anko. Listen Hayate, at one point in the past I would have loved to. That moment is now gone. Please drop it." Yūgao explained remaining stoic and as calm as possible.
Yūgao and Hayate had a rocky friendship and she didn't want to ruin whatever remained of it.
Flashback 10 years ago
Yūgao was sparring against Hayate as they trained together. Since her sensei passed Yūgao always found it hard to find someone who would give her a challenge in a fight. With a swift disarm, Yūgao placed her wooden blade at Hayate's chest. "Looks like I win again." Yūgao said sharing a bright smile.
"Man, one day I will beat you." Hayate said. He had just lost his 100th time in a row.
They had been sparring for the last 6 months, and not once had Yūgao lost. "Maybe but not today." Yūgao said with a smile. She looked at the 14-year-old boy with a smirk. She had a developed a crush on him with all the sparring they had done.
"Yeah, yeah. Alright let's clean up and head out." Hayate said as he picked up his wooden sword and other gear. He just really wanted to get out of there.
"Hey, Hayate! I was wondering…. Would you mind having dinner tonight with me." Yūgao asked trying to avoid as her teacher would call it "the Full Uzumaki inheritance blush". (Basically, your entire head becomes red as Uzumaki hair)
"Hmm, sure I got nothing better to do." Hayate said as he started heading out. "Let's head over to the Shinobi bar. I hear they have good food."
"Sure!" Yūgao exclaimed, internally she was super happy. She was gonna have a date with her crush.
Once they arrived at the bar, ordered food and chatted about things Yūgao excused herself to the bathroom. On her way back, she heard, "Hey, Hayate! Good to see you! Still hanging out with the little girl huh?" from a man that seemed to be Hayate's friend.
"Yeah, she is pretty chill." Hayate said back. This gave Yūgao hope. Maybe they could become a couple, and she could teach him her techniques.
"Still though it makes it seem like you are dating her. Don't be leading her on." The man said to Hayate.
"Of course not. I don't see her that way. Besides I am gonna be taking this girl out on a date tomorrow." Hayate said as Yūgao's emotions came crashing down.
'How could I think he liked me. Of course, he would want someone else.' Yūgao thought as she started to cover herself in a stoic mask. On her way back to the table, she walked over saying, "Hey, thanks for dinner. I got to go. See you." Before rushing out the door.
Behind her, she heard Hayate say, "Ok, see you next sparring time."
That was the last time, before Naruto that she had let her emotions out. She was a blade.
Flashback end
"Right, listen I just wanted to say *Cough* that you are beautiful and I missed hanging out with you." Hayate tried to put on his best smile to show he was into her and to get some pity points for how his injury had affected him.
Unfortunately for him, Yūgao saw through all of it. "Ok, let's stop the act. You just want to be with me now that I am attractive and strong. I appreciate it Hayate but the ship you are trying to sail on has already gone a long time ago. Now please excuse us. Ayame thank you for the food." Yūgao said in a very dry and lacking in emotion. She had become a "blade" and not wanting to deal anymore she and Anko paid for their meals and left. Leaving a very confused Hayate in their wake.
Once they got to the Uzumaki compound, Yūgao finally relaxed again. Breathing regularly smiling at Anko who looked equally happy for her. "DAMN Yūgao! That was amazing. I am so glad you put him in his place like that." Anko yelled as she hugged Yūgao.
"It did feel good to do that. Do not get used to it. I still have to be the strict one around her or you would cause total chaos." Yūgao said with a stern smile on her face.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say Blade Queen." Anko called out to her friend as she started running into the house.
Yūgao just shook her head at her friend antics. She couldn't wait for everyone to be home.
I really didn't give much of the side stories of characters as much so I wanted to do something for Yūgao. I wanted to show that she continued to train and even had a crush on Hayate at some point. If he had given her more time and didn't just originally look at face values, even in my adaptation I could see them together. It was his injury that started making him cough was what caused him to really look at everything differently but by then it was too late. I wanted to show how he realized how much he cared for Yūgao and the time they spent but also show that when you push people away that causes some hurt and eventually leads to the other somewhere else.
Section 2 Squads first failure
Naori felt frustrated. In the month they had been a squad, it seemed that there was already a tear in her group. Not that she was surprised by any of this. When you put a perverted kid, with a group of girls it is to be expected. What she didn't expect was once they beat him down for even attempting to harass one of them, the boy in question would purposefully try to sneak into a client's room. Kegiki had single handedly almost ruined the entire operation.
Earlier that day
Her squad had been assigned to guard an important merchant and his family as they took a tour around Konoha. Why did they want a ninja protect Naori would never know. "Alright team, I want this to be quick and easy mission. They are in Konoha for a day. No funny business, no mistakes. We stick to the plan. I want Karin on Sensor duty. I want to know when someone even remotely with Killing intent is near. Yakumo and Ido, you are on guide duty. You have the most experience with the rich class that these people come from so, I want you to be the guide. Kegiki, I expect you to be on your best today. I want you to be on regular look out near the family. I expect you to follow the instructions I am going to be giving out. Understood?!" Naori stated putting the fear of god into her Genin.
"Hai!" The squad said in unison.
"Good, let's go meet them." Naori said as she walked her squad to the Hokage's office.
"Greets, Squad 11 reporting for duty." Naori said walking into the office.
"Ah, Naori good. This Takahashi, his wife Kimiko, and their daughter Erza. They are here on vacation from the land of Iron. I want you to be their assigned body guards while they are here." Hizuren gave a no-nonsense speech.
"Hai!" Squad 11 said in unison.
"Good, Takahashi I hope you enjoy your time here." Hizuren said. 'Well, let's hope nothing too bad happens.'
Throughout the first part of the mission, Yakumo felt disgusted by the people they were guarding. Snobby, uptight, mightier than all attitudes can really wane on someone after a while. "Come on, Yakumo. Let me use our power. Just let this snob trip on his own feet." Ido said inside her mind.
'No! Ido!' Yakumo thought as she said, "Mr. Takahashi, we are currently on the way to the Senju park. This is one of the founding clan's main achievements in the village. This park was made by Hashirama Senju or the First Hokage himself. It was made to have a place of tranquility to relax and enjoy the day."
"Hmm, this is such a waste of space. You could easily make 20 apartment complexes in this park alone. Your First must have been not thinking of the future when he made it." Takahashi said acting like if he was better than all of them.
"Understandable but this at the time was meant as a humble place were people can go away from war around them." Yakumo replied not wanting to actually give in to Ido's angry rants.
"Whatever let us go. We should go shopping while we are here." Kimiko said as she pulled her husband away from causing an issue.
'Well, at least the wife is smart.' Ido replied as she watched the woman telling her husband off in extremely hushed but harsh tones.
Karin was very bored. Her "cousin" was away from the village doing an escort mission where they needed to be on constant look out. She however was in the peaceful village that she has come to love. She missed Naruto something fierce. Her Naruto, she smiled at herself when she thought of like that, would be harassing her for her lack of attention but she couldn't help it. Naori was sitting next to her on the building that the clients were shopping in. "Man, what I wouldn't give to have Naruto here with us." Karin said trying to make idle talk to her sensei.
"As much as you are right, I feel like with all of us together we would never get stronger." Naori said as she watched her fellow Uzumaki let out a sigh.
"Yeah, but if we did a good job at least we would get a kiss. This mission is so boring." Karin day dreamed. All of them had gotten a kiss from Naruto the day before for not killing their teammate.
"Yeah…. However, we must stay focused. If we relax then that is gonna be when something happens." Naori said as her mind went to the date Naruto had taken her out on 3 days ago. While she still had her strict no-nonsense personality while out and about, at home she relaxed more and showed off her family side.
"I know thankfully once they are back at the hotel our mission is done." Karin said consistently having here chakra go out to sense any killing intent.
Several hours later
Finally, after shopping, dinner, and a leisure stroll through Senju park, the escort mission was ending. Her squad had done it. They finished the mission dropping off the family with their samurai guards. "Thank you for your service today. I know it isn't what your shinobi normally deal with but it put me at ease knowing you were all watching." Kimiko said as he husband had already proceeded inside.
"It is our job mam. Your family is very welcome for your day. I hope that you all come back so you can enjoy the village again." Naori said smile on her face.
"Oh, I am sure we…" Kimiko got out before they heard her husband yell.
Naori, Karin and Yakumo immediately got into defensive formation. 'DAMN IT where is Kegiki?' Naori internally yelled. He had been in the area about 2 minutes ago. 'Please to all that is good let him be alright.' Naori continued her thought.
Despite his attitude towards women he is actually competent when it came to fighting. "Mam, I am sorry but I need you to follow my team and your guards to safety." Naori said to the ladies and their guards. "Call for Anbu support with this if you feel any killing intent, Karin. I mean it."
"Hai!" Karin said as she watched her Sensei go into the building to find Takahashi.
Naori sprinted into the building. The Samurai was behind her but they were slower than she was. She activated her Sharingan, just encase. Going to Takahashi's room. Upon entering she saw the man she heard yell. Only then she realized it was in anger not in distress like everyone had thought. Inside the main room was Kegiki and Takahashi. Kegiki looked like a deer caught in headlights.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" Takahashi yelled as he saw Naori come to the doorway.
Looking at her Genin, she saw his gear, knowing that she didn't beat out his perverted ways. "I am sorry sir. We had our Genin go in before you to ensure there were no traps. I apologize forgetting to tell you. We were about to discuss it with your wife but your shout caused us to not allow that to be said." Naori straight face lied. She just hoped they would believe her.
After several tense seconds, Takahashi responded with a smile. "Of course. I am glad you all take your job seriously. Maybe I should get these lazy bones to do it as well."
"I am glad you approve. I will be taking him with me now. Have a good night sir." Naori said as she grabbed Kegiki pulling him out of the hotel with a death glare.
Several minutes later
Squad 11 was in the Hokage's office. "Mission complete sir. I request we take the week off sir." Naori said as she was glaring at a certain Genin.
Reading the atmosphere, Hizuren said, "Of course. Naori please stay behind please."
After the Genin had gone, Hizuren turned to his Jounin. "So, what happened this time?" Hizuren asked looking at the anger Naori had in her stoic face.
"Kegiki, broke into the client's room as we arrived. With his gear he had on him planned to place camera's in the bathroom to look at women bathing there." Naori stated with an intense anger. "If I had not made a quick response we may have had an international incident on our hands."
"Hmm, I suppose he will have to be suspended and shinobi license revoked. It will not allow your team to participate in the Chūnin exams coming up unfortunately. The girls are gonna be disappointed aren't they?" Hizuren said with a calm but angry voice.
With a sigh, Naori commented, "Probably, the plus side will be if you allow all of us some downtime once Naruto and his team come back."
"Hmm, good idea. Tell your squad they are done doing missions for the next couple of weeks. Also have Kegiki come tomorrow morning with you to see me." Hizuren said as he thought, 'I didn't even have this much trouble with Jirayah. The fact that he was almost caught and caused an international issue is too much for even me to save.'
"Of course, sir. I will take my leave." Naori said as she left the Hokage's office heading to home.
So, this part was to show how a quick witted Naori is. I wanted to show a major growth from when she was a genin. I also wanted to show Ido and Yakumo's interactions. Yakumo is suppose to be the calmer of the 2 looking at everything that can be done while Ido is the more action based one. It will come up in the future that is why I wanted to show it. As for Karin, well I wanted to have her act as she is in the anime and manga where she is more lovesick towards Naruto that saved her from abuse that was going to happen in her old village. She will have major growth as a character towards the end of the first major part but I wanted to show some of it now. She has high affinity towards chakra sensing and people's intentions then she did which will allow her to figure out more.
Section 3: fun vet day
Hana laughed as she watched her brother's squad clean the kennels out for the Vet office. While she particularly didn't mind having other squads do the job it was always funny to watch her brother do it. "You missed a spot Kiba." Hana said as she pointed towards the back corner where a pile of dog poop was laying.
"Damn it, sis. Don't you have someone else to bother?" Kiba complained as he returned to the mess.
"Well, I could but then I would have to trust you to finish cleaning it completely." Hana said with a smirk on her face.
She had Shino reorganizing the filing cabinet and Hinata playing with the new pups that were here to get their yearly shots. "Well, at least you can go check on your patients. You do have a job to do." Kiba retorted not realizing what he just said may backfire on him.
"Oh, you are so right Kiba. Well, I will leave you to clean the remaining kennels then." Hana said while she looked at one of her partners to give him the go ahead to poop in the kennel.
As Hana walked out, all Hana heard was "NOOOOOO! WHY?!" from Kiba as she went to go check on Hinata.
Walking out in the yard, she saw the former heiress sitting on the grass while the puppies all resting on her lap and being calm as can be. "Well I'll be. I have never seen new pups so calm. How did you manage that?" Hana questioned the younger girl.
"Hmm, not really an issue when you are used to Shisa." Hinata calmed explained.
"I guess you are right. I have never seen a puppy take after her master more." Hana said as she thought of Naruto and how even with all his seriousness had the mark of true mischief when he wanted to pull a prank.
"Speaking of, isn't she coming in for shots today?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, and with Naruto gone for the last 2 days, I will need all the help I can get to get her to calm down." Hana complained. "If anything, Shisa is more like Naruto when it comes to the doctors."
"Oh, don't I know it." Hinata giggled out as she remembered the last time both of them had to go to the doctors. They had to basically tie up both of them and drag them to the offices. "Without Naruto here, Shisa will be absolutely horrid."
"Don't I know it. Well, if you can calm all of them I am hoping you will help me with her. She seems to be able to order around all the other nin-dogs so I can't use them to hold her down." Hana said remembering the last time Squad 7 had been used to walk the dogs. She just knew that Shisa had something to do with them all dragging one of the squad members around endlessly through mud and who knows what else.
"Sure, I have all of them down for a nap now. They will be ready to go back in the kennel once it is all clean." Hinata said as she sat up and got ready for her biggest challenge of the day.
2 hours later
Izumi walked into Hana's office with Shisa. "Shisa it needs to be done. I am not going to let you get away again." Izumi stated as Hana and Hinata walked into the front of the office.
"Wow, she must have been really fighting." Hana said looking at the poor girl.
Izumi had her hair, which was once in a bun behind her head, looking like a bird's nest. First was the sticks and dirt sticking to her hair and clothes. The bun was pulled mostly out and sticking in odd angles. Her face showed her Sharingan active with dirt smeared across he right cheek. "Not a word from either of you. I swear she is learning to open doors and break metal bars. She gave us all an hour-long chase just to catch her." Izumi complained.
"Come here Shisa. Let's get you comfortable." Hinata said with a kind smile.
Hana and Izumi watched as the pup was taken by Hinata to the back room without a single fight. "How does she do it?" Izumi asked as she started fixing her hair, "It took a C ranked mission to even capture that puppy and Hinata comes around and she is putty in her hands."
"Bahahaha, I have no idea. Maybe, Shisa is afraid of Hinata or it is Hinata's calming personality." Hana said giving her opinion.
"Well, whatever it is, I want her on our next team to capture the damn pup." Izumi stated as she was not going to be put through the mild torture the puppy put her through again.
Going into the back room, Hana and Izumi watched as Shisa calm down more and more as Hana got the shots ready. One by one the shots were done and when it was finally time to go Shisa was once again the happy pup that they all knew. Once Izumi and Shisa departed, Hana turned to the fellow girl and asked, "How do you manage it? Not even my mom could get that her to calm down."
"Hmm, trade secret." Hinata said showing her happy smile.
"Hinata, you really are something special." Hana said laughing to herself.
Alright this one is shorter than the rest because it didn't really have that much attached to it. I wanted to show that Hana is much like a big sister to some of the girls as she is closest to their age. (Hinata is 12, Izumi is 14 and Hana is 17) As a big sister she tends to show that she has her immature side as well by torturing Kiba when he gave her some sass. As for Izumi and Hinata, well Izumi is more of like the middle sister to all the others. She is independent and strong but still questions herself which will become apparently as time goes on. As for Hinata well, she is kind but has her confidence where she has a no nonsense/evil look when someone wrong happens. If you watch Boruto their daughter Himawari when she is angry and Boruto when her doll gets ripped is the best way to describe it when someone angers her.
Fourth Section: Squad 8 and Squad Guy team up training day
Ino woke up getting ready for training day. Today apparently Asuma had a special training for them. So Ino woke up early to get through her morning exercises. She had been doing the exercises since she was 7 and saw Naruto do them after a morning she stay over. She had asked him why but apparently it was to prepare him to become stronger in the future. Since then she had always done his exact training and it had shown results. In her year she was 3rd strongest Kunoichi behind Karin and Hinata. She was proud of herself for her accomplishments. It was everything she could ask for when Naruto complimented her on her accomplishment.
Getting to their training site Ino saw her teammates arrive. Shikamaru looked tired as always yawning as he walked up. Choji was surprisingly not eating anything currently though had a small amount of breakfast still on his cheek as he took out a napkin to clean his face. Then she saw Tenten, Rock Lee, and Neji show up. "Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Ino asked the 3 from team Guy.
"Well, it wasn't by choice. Apparently Guy sensei and Asuma sensei have an idea of some kind." Tenten responded. The weapon mistress in training was excited to see what this was all about.
Before the others could respond Asuma and Guy appeared with the group. "Alright, lets group up. Today we are planning on having the other sensei train you." Asuma said while smoking a cigarette.
"That's RIGHT! We will make sure to shore up your weaknesses and bring the flames of all your youth to a bonfire!" Guy said excitedly.
"But Guy sensei, why Asuma sensei?" Rock Lee asked.
"Because green bean, you all might have strengths in hand to hand combat and defense, however your coordination needs work. And for my team it is vice versa. The only one that seems to have some Taijutsu training is Ino." Asuma explained.
"Right so Team Asuma lets go get ready for training." Guy exclaimed as he walked away to the other end of the training area.
"So, I know you all come from clans, however I want to see each of your Taijutsu only. This is to help train you for upcoming events in your life where your jutsu can not be used. Now I want all of you to come at me at once." Guy said getting into his defensive stance.
All 3 of the Genin got into a stance, each using their clan styles. Ino however noticed that Guy's style was to used switched her style to a combination of her clan and Naruto's style. She hoped the small change up would catch the sensei off guard.
As the 3 charged at Guy, he went into his flow of motion to dodge the clan Taijutsu. Truthfully he was fully prepared to counter the Genin, mainly due to helping their parents train as well. What truly shocked was the fact that as they went into the motions of the Taijutsu, each one had slightly adjusted to his speed and changed their Taijutsu accordingly. The coordination of this team even a month and a half in was like a well-oiled machine. They worked in tandem with each other. What was even more weird was that Ino seemed to change her Taijutsu completely even sweep. 'Hmm, Shikamaru could use some work on his strength. None of his hits really pack a punch. Choji could use some more speed though I am sure with his clan jutsus he would be a force to be reckoned with. Ino is the most surprising. If I didn't know any better I would say she stole Naruto's style and mixed it with her clans. Interesting. If that can happen with hers why not with the others.' Guy thought as he moved to dodge out of the way of their hits before grabbing 2 out of the 3 and launching them into the 3rd.
"Alright! Excellent work. While I can definitely see improvements for each of you, I wanted to give you my thoughts and reasoning." Guy said as he watched them get back up. "So, first off despite using only Taijutsu, I noticed your coordination was on point. Each using styles that seem to complement each other. Next, I noticed you all making subtle combinations of your fighting to try to catch me off guard. Finally, I noticed that Ino has a mixture of 2 fighting styles in her Taijutsu. The fact that you can both interact with both and continue to do your combo fighting is what puts it above the others."
"So, you did notice all the things we were doing. What a drag." Shikamaru complained slightly out of breath.
"Of course. I am impressed with all of you." Guy said already planning his training. "Now, I want each of you to look watch my Taijutsu movements. For the rest of today I am going to teach you how to use these in combination with your own to improve your Taijutsu. I will also set up a training regiment to help you all improve in areas that you are behind in."
"Sensei. I do the same work out as Naruto was doing 2 years ago. Is that still good?" Ino asked as she finished her exercises before she got there.
"Of course, it is! Now let's get started on your training." Guy yelled as fire in his eyes started to form.
Meanwhile with Asuma and Team Guy
"Alright, now what I am going to teach you is how to use chakra in along with your specialties. As well as work on your team coordination. So, all of you come at me at once." Asuma said as he got out a pair of rubber trench knives.
All 3 of the team hesitated for a brief moment before proceeding. 'Lee is fast but reckless, he does not give much of an opportunity to his teammates to attack. Tenten fears hitting her allies with her weapons because she can't manipulate them as effectively. Neji is constantly looking for an opening to allow himself to cut off chakra points giving him and the rest an advantage. However, that is what is going to be their flaw.' Asuma thought as he rolled into Neji's range of attacking only to have him use his attacks on Lee as Asuma twisted enough to have Lee lunge at Neji. Meanwhile Asuma turned to face a wooden sword that Tenten was holding as she had calculated that chance that Asuma would use her teams attacks against them.
However, against a superior opponent, Tenten was disarmed and thrown into her teammates as they were bunched up together. "Alright. Let's go over positives and negatives. Positives, Neji you provide a good medium range defense and attack, Lee is a strong short-range attacker, Tenten has strong weapon versatility allowing you all to fight as a team. Negatives. Lee you attack too head on. It does not allow your team to back you up if you get into a dangerous situation for instance if was to catch you off balance and cut you with my knife I could fear no retaliation from your team because I would be blocked by you. Next Neji, your looking for golden opportunities are too obvious. I was able to get into your range then use the fact that you were so preoccupied by me that you forgot Lee. Finally, Tenten, we need to work on your long-range control. You were hesitant on throwing weapons because you would hit allies." Asuma explained taking a cigarette out.
"You are right. What you saw was us not working as a team." Neji said as he thought about how he had messed up and go caught being narrow minded.
"Well, that is why we are doing this Neji. So, we can improve." Tenten said happily.
"That is right. We will become a more formidable team together." Lee proudly exclaimed.
"So, what I am going to teach you is how to coordinate without giving out information to the enemy. I also want to work on your chakra manipulation. Lee, I want you to be able to use your chakra like a blade so when you kick it releases a thin chakra line that will cut a range so if the enemy backs up they won't suspect it. Neji I want to focus on battlefield awareness. This will allow you to use the Hyuuga fighting style against multiple opponents as well as avoid hitting allies. Finally, Tenten, I want to focus on creating chakra threads. This will allow you to manipulate your weapons midair." Asuma explained as he got them ready for their training.
Several hours later
Both teams reconvened back where they met up first thing in the morning. While team Asuma was bruised slightly due to training with Guy all day, Team Guy was exhausted. They never thought they would use so much energy and chakra. Once they were all together, Asuma spoke, "Alright, today was very successful. Guy and I will go over what were taught to both sides and we will be doing this once a week to see how each team is improving. Now go home and get some rest."
As a group they left. Ino and Tenten were walking together on their way back to the Uzumaki compound. "So, how was Guy sensei today?" Tenten asked curious about how Ino's training went.
"Well, he had us focusing on learning a different Taijutsu that complimented our own. What was rough was when he started fighting back. I think he was holding back but still it was a harsh lesson. How was Asuma?" Ino responded.
"He taught us more chakra control. I wish I knew this chakra thread beforehand it would have been beneficial to us if I did. Thankfully Yūgao's sword training paid off. I managed to catch him off guard twice with it." Tenten smiled at her accomplishment.
"Thankfully we have the rest tomorrow and the next day. Thankfully we have Girls night tomorrow. I can use the time." Ino said giggling to herself at the fact that she was gonna have so much time to relax.
Alright and that is it for this chapter. I wanted to show that Ino is being smarter than she was in the show where her mind is actually able to keep up with her determination to become stronger. I also wanted to show that without her fawning over a guy that she is strong. As for Tenten I wanted to show more growth on her fighting style. I always appreciated the fact that she stuck to her ways as a weapon mistress and wanted put that as her style. I also always viewed Team Guy to have a critical flaw of not being coordinated mainly because how Taijutsu focused their team is. I wanted to show that even after a year their coordination can still improve. Alright until next time.
