Chapter 1 everybody! Make sure you PM me any OC's or recommendations. Here is a small intro of the main OC and the story.

STILL ACCEPTING OC's!

Hitting the tree at what felt like 100 miles per hour, Kai barely had time to see the high kick that would most definitely give him a headache for weeks. Ducking at the last second, Kai countered with a punch of his own aimed at the enemies chest. It connected but the enemy took it as if it was a pillow. Kai went for a kick of his own aimed at the opponents stomach but failed miserably, as he caught it and swept Kai's legs from underneath him. Kai was able to recover y flipping backward, smirking in a cocky manner at this maneuver. "Your gonna have to do better than that" Kai shouted as he attempted to connect with three punches. His opponent dodged with ease, slipping underneath each one before grabbing Kai's arm. While holding his arm, the opponent flipped Kai over his back with the momentum. Kai hit the ground hard, grunting when his back made impact with the hard soil.

"Maybe you were going a little too hard Lucario. Was that really necessary?" questioned Kai as he took Lucario's help in getting up

"You may think you aren't making any progress Master but I believe you have made massive strides since your initial desire to train your aura skills." replied Lucario while pulling Kai up to his feet.

"Yeah well my damn back definitely disagrees" Kai whined out loud. "I would absolutely love to get my ass whooped once again but unfortunately I gotta get showered before Mom kills me from how dirty I am."

Kai returned his starter Lucario to his pokeball before eventually making the walk back from the forest to his house where his mother lived. After arriving, he immediately made his way into the bathroom to take a shower. Kai's mom, Olivia, was currently shopping so he had a bit of time to spare before she came back home. Before entering the shower, Kai glanced at the mirror. Kai was a little taller than the average height, standing a 6'0 feet tall. He always thought he was a good looking kid and many others thought the same. He had black straight hair that was a bit curly, along with a sharp jawline and blue eyes. While not extremely built, Kai has developed his fair share of muscles and a six pack due to his intense training schedule with his Pokemon. After a moment, Kai finally hopped into the shower. After 15 minutes, he stepped out, dried off, changed into a clean pair of clothes, and exited the bathroom.

"I'm still not used to you being back" Oliva commented while smiling at Kai. "I know your probably tired of hearing it but I'm so happy that you won the Johto League Tournament this year!"

Olivia looked extremely young for her age, being 48 years old. She has long black hair and brown eyes. Her smile conveyed a kindness that friends and even strangers found comfort in. Kai's mom was considered the nicest neighborhood in many, but if she was pissed off, she was PISSED OFF. Luckily, it took a lot for the woman's mood to be flipped upside down.

Kai hugged his mom, smiling brightly closing his eyes. "I appreciate it Mom. Definitely happy about it but you know I want to accomplish a lot more than one league win. I'm going for every league and their champions!" Kai stated laughing.

"If it's alright with you, I'm gonna visit Professor Oak's ranch to see my Pokémon" Kai stated. His mom pretended to be upset but nodded. Kai immediately sprinted out the household once receiving approval.

"Peace mom" Kai shouted while his mom chastised him for running in the house.

A few minutes later, Kai arrived at the ranch. The property consisted of a large laboratory that was in great shape. Behind the laboratory was a ranch that had many trainers Pokémon, including Kai's. Once Kai reached the door he knocked and waited a few seconds until Professor Oak opened.

"Oh Kai!" Professor Oak exclaimed as he shook the young man's hand. "It's been a while! Congrats on winning the Johto League tournament. That performance by you and your Pokémon was something else. Especially Lucario and Charizard." Oak said while allowing Kai to walk inside before following him.

"Haha thank you Professor. Just make sure you don't tell Charizard that. I'm really trying not to inflate his ego too much. Lord knows he needs it." Kai joked shaking his head.

Professor Oak was the one who gave Kai his started Pokémon Riolu. The Professor helped mentor Kai and send him off to his journey to earn 8 badges and compete in each regions League Tournament. Kai will always appreciate the older man due to his kindness and efforts to aid Kai in his Pokémon journey.

The pair eventually entered the ranch. Immediately, Kai was tackled to the floor by his Raichu.

"Easy Raichu I know you missed me but it's only been a few days" Kai wheezed as Raichu sat on his chest content. A moment later, Raichu kept off while Kai scratched behind his ear. This action earned a "Raiiiiiii" of approval, making Kai laugh out loud. Raichu was definitely one of his more playful pokemon but make no mistake, his electric attacks packed a punch. Raichu played a key part in his league win, notably defeating a Gallade and Aggron in one of the opening rounds.

In the distance, a Floatzel was swimming in a small pond. Upon noticing his trainer, Floatzel let off a water pulse aimed towards his trainer, which completely drenched Kai.

"You've got to be kidding me" Kai muttered to himself. Floatzel was definitely the most rebellious of his pokemon. While Floatzel is hard to contain, as a Buizel, he was impossible. Kai shuttered as he recalled that time Buizel decided to fill up his whole tent with water, while Kai was SLEEPING! Definitely not one of the best memories the pair have together. However, the pokemon made up for it by defeating the ace pokemon of a semifinalist Kai battled in the tournament. After walking to Floatzel and catching up with him, Kai headed off to see Flygon.

Flygon is Kai's most timid pokemon. She used to rarely converse with Kai's other pokemon but has since become more extroverted. Flygon cares for Kai more than any other pokemon due to being rescued from an abusive trainer. Since then, Flygon has been extremely loyal and a dangerous threat to other trainers who have the misfortune of facing her. After seeing Kai, Flygon rushed into him and rested her head on his shoulder. Kai's fourth pokemon, Tyranitar, rushed to the pair, roaring along the way. Tyranitar and Flygon have bonded over the past few months. Just like every other pokemon of Kai's team, the two are talented. They both combined for four eliminations in the quarterfinal of the tournament.

Finally, Charizard arrived on the scene. The black scaled, fire breathing lizard landed onto the grass, baring its teeth with excitement at his trainer visiting the pokemon. While Charizard was considered special due to being a "shiny pokemon", it's his aggressive battling style and talent that makes trainers shiver at the thought of battling him. While Kai believes all his pokemon are extremely strong, he is aware that Charizard is the second strongest pokemon on his team, with his starter pokemon Lucario easily being his strongest. Kai smiled, petting Charizard on its head while using his other to pet Flygon and Tyranitar.

"Good to see you guys too" Kai remarked as he sat on the grass in front of the pokemon. "I've been thinking about going on another journey. I mean, one league win is cool and all but its getting kind of boring over here. Its time we start smoking some other regions and trainers. So what do you all say?" Kai questioned, smirking as he knew how his pokemon would be up for any challenge. What he didn't expect was for every pokemon to cry, roar, or screech at the top of their lungs, basically bursting the eardrums of Kai and every resident in the town.

That's Chapter 1 everybody! I know this is a short chapter but I promise I will make each chapter around 5k words. I want to hear what region you all want for the story to take place in. Also, please submit your own OC or who you would like to travel alongside Kai. In the next upcoming chapters, I will begin to introduce a bit of the crisis that the characters will have to deal with.
