Kai and Lucario stood in a fighting stance with their fists raised and backs against each other. One of the armed men stepped forward towards the group, raising his weapon threateningly.
"Listen old man. I don't mind beating the living hell out of a kid and an old man. But we could do this the easy way or the hard way. Gi-" the man was interrupted as Kai groaned rather loudly.
"Are you kidding me dude? How cliché is that? The easy way or the hard way? Jesus Christ! Lucario put me out of my misery." Kai complained while Lucario face palmed at his trainers rant. Now Professor Rowan looked not only scared but confused out of his mind.
"Shut up kid before I teach you a lesson. This doesn't concern you. As I was saying old man, give us your research on Giratina and his origin. We also need that map you've been working on for the past few months..
"I'm afraid I can't do that young man. That information is classified and wouldn't do any good in the hands of people such as you." Rowan answered frowning, backing away slowly from the group of armed men.
"Well I guess you give us no choice. Lets get the old bastard." the leader informed the group as they walked towards Kai, Lucario, and Rowan with their weapons raised and their Pokemon ready to attack.
"You deal with the Pokemon while I take out the grunts Lucario." Kai spoke to Lucario telepathically using his aura. Lucario merely nodded in understanding, waiting for Kai to make the first move.
The duo waited a few seconds before the soldiers and their Pokemon got in range. Then, Kai struck first unexpectedly with a right hook across a soldiers face before he had the chance to notice anything. That soldier was definitely out cold judging by the way his head bounced off Kai's hand and into the floor. The Pokemon could barely react before they began to be thrown back by Lucario's aura spheres.
While Lucario dealt with the four Pokemon at the back of the laboratory room, Kai prepared himself to fight off the three grunts. Sure he was trained pretty well due to Lucario's aura training, but Kai really wasn't trying to be electrocuted by a weapon literally crackling with electricity at it's end.
Two grunts immediately ran towards Kai, looking to swing their weapons at his head. Kai ducked underneath the first swing, kicking out his leg to push one of the grunts away. Turning to the other grunt, Kai barely had time to see the weapon about to hit him. Kai raised his right arm, catching the soldiers arm before kneeing him in the stomach and throwing him through the air behind him into the other soldier. "Damn Lucario's aura training is actually coming in handy" Kai thought as he appreciated being able to defend himself against these A-holes who were clearly outmatched even against Lucario by himself.
Lost in thought, Kai completely forgot about the remaining solider, who once again, literally is armed with a dangerous electrical weapon in his hands. The soldier was able to land a good hit connecting to Kai's ribs. If the pain wasn't bad enough from the strike, the electricity running through his body definitely was. Kai cried in agony before spinning and kicking the soldier off of him. Before the soldier charged at him again, Kai threw a small aura sphere aimed towards the remaining soldier. It connected with him perfectly, pushing him through the wall in a painful manner.
"Ok I definitely deserved that for getting distracted" Kai told himself as he rubbed his hand over the now red and swollen side of his body.
"Walk it off Master you'll be alright. Besides, you did great for your first real test in utilizing your aura skills. Even if this altercation was absolutely unexpected." Lucario stated as he walked away from the knocked out Pokemon he had dealt with quite easily.
The laboratory room was absolutely destroyed. The windows smashed and glass shattered across the floor, smoke filled the air, and rubble was present across the whole room.
Professor Rowan stared in amazement at Kai, not believing what he had just witnessed. He knew Kai was extremely talented as a trainer and was a pure human being, but nobody had told the Professor that the young man had the ability to use aura.
"Kai, you have the ability to use aura? I was not aware of this at all. This skill is extremely rare today!" Rowan exclaimed as he laughed in disbelief.
"Ummm yeah I kinda wasn't expecting to reveal that to anyone today Professor so if my secret is safe with you then that would be perfect. Only my mom and Professor Oak know that I have the ability to use aura. I just started training my skills recently with Lucario." Kai said while sitting down and resting on one of the laboratory chairs. "Better question Professor. Who the hell were those guys who almost beat the living daylights out of you?" Kai questioned Rowan. Professor Rowan awkwardly laughed, embarrassed at the events that just transpired.
"How about we head over to another room to discuss this matter?" Professor Rowan suggested. Lucario and Kai took care of making sure the soldiers wouldn't be able to escape while one of the assistants took care of calling the police. As they walked out of the room, the first soldier who was knocked out awoke and immediately screamed in pain.
"My Jaw! You broke my whole jaw!" The soldier cried almost incoherently. Lucario and Professor Rowan turned to Kai, staring at him.
"Sorry?"

The trio were resting in one of the laboratory's most private rooms. It was a small room, fitted with two small couches opposite of each other and a few office chairs.
"Over the past few months, there has been emergence of a new criminal organization. They go by the name of "Chaos". Professor Rowan explained to Kai and Lucario. "This organization is a lot different from other organizations we known such as Team Rocket or Team Magma. Chaos has been more violent in their approaches and the police don't have much of an idea of what their goal is. The only thing the police force and people such as myself know is that they have taken an interest in Giratina. For what purpose I am not sure." Professor Rowan sighed as he placed his coffee mug back onto the table.
Kai nodded in understanding, with his legs resting up on the glass table, laying back lazily against his chair. Lucario glared at Kai, before bowing in thanks.
"We'll I'm glad we were able to help you Professor. But why did they attack you?" Kai questioned a bit skeptical.
"I have been doing research on legendary Pokémon more recently. Thus, I have taken an interest upon Sinnoh's legendary Pokémon such as Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina. I have researched their origin stories along with archeological records and the impact they had on Sinnoh, positive and negative." Rowan responded while rubbing his head.
"Makes sense Professor Rowan. I apologize if it seems that we blame you for this." Kai stated, standing up from his seat.
"Nonsense young man. Unfortunately, I have a meeting in 15 minutes and will have to depart but I have a gift to you Kai. A thank you for delivering me Professor Oaks notes and also saving me and my assistants." Professor Rowan said as he took out a poke ball from his belt. Rowan then tossed the ball, a bright white light blinding them for a second before they saw the Pokémon that appeared.
"Wow a Gible! Look at this Lucario" Kai said as he celebrated being gifted a rare Pokémon and pseudo legendary. "Thank you Professor you really shouldn't have. Oh who am I kidding, you should have!" Lucario merely sweat dropped in embarrassment while Professor Rowan laughed at the trainer's antics.
Eventually the duo left the lab and embarked to the first gym leader. It looks like the groups adventure took quite the eventful start, and unfortunately for them, it's only just beginning…
Chapter 3 finished everybody! I know it's very short but I will be uploading very frequently so hopefully it makes up for it. I know there has yet to be a Pokemon battle but I promise there will be one in the next chapter! PLEASE REVIEW or PM me any suggestions or thoughts! See you all soon.
