Twelve days ago….
A young woman with violet hair stood on top of a mountain facing Oreburgh City. She had long violet hair, reaching down to her waist. She wore a black Chaos bodysuit, that hugged her figure tightly and showed off her body. She was in shape with lean muscles and a beautiful body. The young woman dropped her mask covering her face (Black skull mask). The agent then lifted up her binoculars, pointing towards Oreburgh City. The tank that had deployed there had just blown up due to a Dragonite using Hyperbeam at it's fuel tank. The city was partially destroyed, with fire being present among many buildings. "There were going to be a few casualties…" the young woman thought to herself, feeling no emotion. While anyone else would have been sad at the loss of life, the agent felt absolutely nothing, seeing it as a consequence of war. After assessing the damage, the agent took out her phone, dialing a number.
The phone rang for a second.
Then another.
Then another.
Then another.
Just as soon as the agent was about to put it away, the rough voice of a man spoke into the phone, uttering one word.
"Talk."
The girl took a deep breath, before she explained. "Both trucks and the barricading tank were destroyed due to a Dragonite's hyper beam. The Ground Team was unable to extract the ancient writings due to a male teenager and his Lucario interfering. I assume that most of the soldiers were killed due to the explosion. Age-" The young woman stopped speaking when she heard glass breaking over the phone. She knew from previous experiences that the boss was throwing his whiskey glasses into the wall in his office, furious that the mission failed miserably. The girl waited until the sounds of glass breaking subsided. Finally, the boss spoke again.
"And Agent Steel"? The boss questioned, expecting an answer on whether the behemoth of a soldier had survived the explosion.
"Agent Steel was wounded badly but was able to escape. Steel was evacuated by a helicopter I sent out about 8 miles east of Oreburgh City. Medics inside the helicopter informed me that he is stable despite the injuries he sustained. Boss, this boy is bad news. He possesses supernatural abilities that I couldn't determine being so far away from the Ground Team. His Lucario is also a force to be reckoned with. If we don't take care of them, they can be a thorn on Chaos's side for a while." The young woman stated with no emotion, not taking her eyes off the smoke arising from Oreburgh City. This boy and his Lucario were special. The young woman smirked, ecstatic that there was finally a real challenge for her. While content with the appearance of a challenge, the young woman felt a small part of her enraged that this young man was a strong individual such as herself. She was better than him, and she was going to prove it too. She was snapped out of her thoughts when the boss spoke again for the last time.
"I want you back in Eterna City for a briefing. Your new mission will be discussed in more detail. You're the strongest agent I have in my possession. That is why I need you to take care of this. Is that clear, Special Agent Nine?" The boss asked over the phone.
"Crystal.."
The phone hung up after Nine answered. Her real name was Esperanza, or simply Anza. However, her name no longer mattered as a Special Agent (S.A) in Chaos. She was simply another soldier. A weapon. Nine smirked, cracking her fists as she stood at the edge of the mountain, with her eyes closed. Luckily for Nine, that is exactly what she was. A soldier.
Cynthia returned a little while later. Accompanying Cynthia was a young teenager, who the group assumed was Seiya. The boy stood at 6'2 with black hair that was combed to the side and had a tan complexion. He wore a nice white button up along with brown cargo pants, as well as glasses over his black eyes. The young boy bowed to the group, before Cynthia introduced them all.
"Everybody, I would like for you to meet Seiya. While he isn't an official member of Project Giratina, he will be helping out in terms of surveillance and communications when you are on the ground completing a mission. His role may change if Seiya improves as a trainer but for now, he will help you all on the sidelines. He is more than capable of doing so." Cynthia explain, rubbing the shoulder of Seiya before letting the group introduce themselves. May, Sarah, and Lucario introduced themselves first, with Seiya politely introducing himself each time. Kai was last, shaking the taller boy's hand.
"Nice to meet you Seiya. I know Cynthia explained kind of vaguely what it is you do here but I wanted to hear it from you." Kai told Seiya curiously, with Seiya adjusting his glasses before speaking.
"It's nice to meet you Mr. Ledger. Cynthia brought me in a few weeks ago. So far, I've been working in communications for the most part. This consists of guiding the ground team that is deployed on a mission by giving them valuable information on the landscape, enemies that could be approaching, and possible directions for whatever you may need. I'm extremely excited to be working with you Sir." Seiya stated politely, looking away nervously as he finished. Kai grinned, knowing that Seiya would be extremely valuable to them due to his role in the Communications Department.
"You can just call me Kai man. Cynthia mentioned you were a trainer. I'd love to see your Pokemon and maybe battle you so I can get a feeling of what you need to improve on." Kai suggested, remembering that Cynthia had requested that he helped train Seiya as a battler and trainer. Seiya's eyes and expression brightened at this, before nodding politely, thanking Kai. The group eventually went to do their own thing. Sarah went to go workout in one of the weight rooms while May and Lucario decided to see what kind of food this place had. Together, kai and Seiya walked to one of the practice fields before facing each other.
"One on One sound good Seiya? I'm still feeling a little sore from Oreburgh City so I'm gonna take it easy." Kai suggested, hoping to take it easy since his legs hadn't moved much for this long of a duration.
"Sounds good to me! Here's my Pokemon! Go Drakloak!" Seiya ordered out, throwing his pokeball into the air. Drakloak appeared, hovering in the air, eager to battle.
Kai was a bit surprised, seeing Seiya with such a rare Pokemon. Due to his aura, Kai was able to sense a great level of trust and friendship between Seiya and Drakloak. This was most likely due to Drakloak being his starter Pokemon. Kai grabbed one of his pokeballs out of his belt, before flicking it up lazily.
Charizard emerged from the pokeball, roaring at his opponent. Drakloak cowered slightly due to the intimidating size and strength of Charizard, before regathering itself.
"You can have the first move Seiya. Don't hold back." Kai told Seiya sternly. Seiya nodded nervously before ordering his first move.
"Alright Drakloak, use Dragon Pulse!" Seiya ordered, pointing towards Charizard who flared out a bit of ember with his nostrils. Drakloak obeyed, before firing a stream of blue that headed straight towards Charizard.
"Use steel wing and block it." Kai stated calmly as Charizard obeyed, with his wings covering his body. The dragon pulse connected straight into his steel wings, before dissipating. Charizard stopped his steel wing and lowered his wings, looking undamaged and perfectly healthy. Seiya cursed at the smart method used by Kai, before issuing another attack.
"Use Agility and fire off a few thunderbolts while circling Charizard!" Seiya commanded, less confident than he was at the beginning of the battle.
Drakloak obeyed his trainer's command before circling around Charizard at a very impressive speed, firing off thunderbolts as he moved.
"Dodge them Charizard!" Kai ordered Charizard, attempting to think of a strategy. Charizard was able to dodge the majority of attacks but kept getting hit slightly by a stray thunderbolt, damaging him. "Shit." Kai thought to himself, knowing Seiya was using an effective strategy. Finally, coming up with a way to combat this, Kai issued a command.
"Charizard, stop moving and fire a flamethrower at a single sport in front of you! Don't try to hit him!" Kai ordered Charizard. This was extremely effective, since not even a few seconds after, Drakloak had run into this flamethrower when circling Charizard.
"Now use Steel Wing" Kai said, knowing that Drakloak was not in a position to defend himself
"Get out of there!" Seiya panicked, ordering his Pokemon to avoid getting hit again.
Charizard moved at an impressive speed, which shouldn't come as a surprise considered how well he was trained by Kai, hitting Drakloak right in the head with a Steel Wing. Drakloak fell to the ground, hitting the floor hard. After a few seconds, Drakloak was barely able to continue.
"Charizard, finish this with Flare Blitz." Kai said calmly, believing that Drakloak was in no condition to be able to dodge the strike.
Seiya's heart dropped, knowing that Drakloak didn't have enough time to produce a strong attack to hit Charizard. Once again though, an idea came to his head.
"Quickly, use thunder wave!" Seiya ordered, smiling as he saw Kai's expression turn into a surprised one. Drakloak's thunder wave hit Charizard perfectly, paralyzing him for the rest of the battle. While Kai was a bit nervous at this, Kai was confident that Seiya would make a mistake and think he could hit Charizard without him being able to move. Luckily for Kai, he was right.
"Now use Steel wing!" Seiya commanded, feeling confident that Drakloak could now win the battle due to the paralysis. Kai remained quiet, waiting for his Pokémon to come close enough. Once he did, he issued a command.
"Catch his wings Charizard"
"What?!"
Charizard caught Drakloak's wings easily, despite being paralyzed. While Seiya was extremely confused how a Charizard was able to move so effortlessly, Kai merely smirked. Kai had trained all his Pokémon to be able to battle through paralysis, burns, and more. While they still affected his Pokémon, the symptoms weren't as extreme as the ones other Pokémon experienced.
"Now use Seismic Toss." Kai ordered, knowing that the battle was over.
"Use Dragon Pulse!" Seiya screamed out. Drakloak was close to firing off his attack until Charizard threw him to the floor at a high speed before he got the chance. Seiya's Pokémon collided into the ground, making dust rise from the impact. When the dust cleared, it revealed Drakloak fainted while Charizard landed safely.
"That was a great battle Seiya, you should be proud of yourself. You got the better out of me a lot in that battle. Great job." Kai complimented Seiya, patting his back aggressively while Seiya smiled shyly.
"Thanks Kai, it was an honor battling you. You are clearly the talented trainer everyone made you out to be!" Seiya responded kindly, returning Drakloak and thanking him for his efforts. The two kept talking at the battlefield for a bit, with Kai giving him advice on how to improve himself, along with explaining the mistakes he made in the battle, such as thinking thunder wave would completely immobilize Charizard. Seiya was observant while listening, writing down all of Kai's comments and suggestions rapidly, not wanting to let this information slip. After about another hour, the duo walked back into the main lobby of HQ.
"Thank you so much for that Kai. I really appreciate it. I have to go to one of my scheduled briefings but it was nice to meet you." Seiya said, bowing respectfully before running off. Kai nodded before going back to the suite that Cynthia had gifted them for their stay. When entering the suite, Kai was amazed at how luxurious the place looked. Upon entering the suite, you immediately saw the massive living room fit with two white couches. In front of the two couches was an 85 inch TV, connected to the wall. Past the living room were several hallways, most likely leading to the 3 bathrooms and 4 master bedrooms. To the left of the living room was the kitchen. The kitchen was most likely the nicest part of the suite. It was fitted with marble countertops and a large space to cook or prepare something. Exiting the kitchen was a long rectangular table capable of fitting a dozen people. Saying the luxurious suite was amazing would be an understatement!
Unable to resist, Kai spent around twenty minutes exploring their suite and relaxing in all the luxuries it had to offer. It was't until Kai had reached the end of the hallway before he stopped in a room, grinning widely. The bathroom was fitted with white, marble counter tops, along with several expensive mirrors placed across the walls and sinks. The white floor shined brightly, adding to the expensive appearance of the bathroom. What captured Kai's attention, however, was the massive hot tub in the middle of the bathroom, already bubbling and at a constant hot temperature.
"I definitely have to thank Cynthia for this.." Kai thought to himself, leaning forward and placing his hands against the railing of the hot tub. Kai knew that he most likely had the whole suite to himself, due to Sarah going to work out and May being at the cafeteria for dinner, alongside Lucario. Not wanting to waste anymore time, Kai simply took off his shirt and socks before jumping into the hot tub. The temperature was perfect, feeling amazing on Kai's sore body. The hot tub was equipped with water jets, also massaging his back. Kai sighed, laying back with his hand's clasped behind his head. He could definitely get use to this. As time progressed, Kai's eyes became more and more heavy, eventually closing them due to being so relaxed. Kai opened them slightly when he heard the sound of footsteps coming into the open bathroom. Sara appeared, dressed in a two piece bikini that revealed her cleavage and body nicely. Sarah's brown hair was tied up in a bun, rather than being let down. Sarah smiled when seeing Kai already in the hot tub, a bit surprised that someone else was there already.
"Oh hey Kai. I didn't know you were already in here. Mind if I join?" Sarah asked politely, bending forward to place her regular clothes on the floor.
"Go ahead. The more the merrier." Kai responded, finding no reason to not allow his friend to join him. Especially due to how good she looked. Sarah thanked Kai, before slowly stepping into the hot tub, sighing as she sat down slowly. Sarah sat at the opposite side of the hot tub than kai, facing him as the two of them sat. The pair sat their for a while, having small talk and making jokes together.
"I can't believe Steven Stone did that! "He's the champion of Hoenn, there is no chance he did something like that!" Sarah laughed uncontrollably, smiling at how absurd Kai's suggestion was.
"I swear it's true! I've heard from several reliable sources that told me that he shit himself during his own birthday party. While making a toast in front of everyone!" Kai laughed while barely being able to finish. Sarah shook her head, still not willing to believe it.
"I refused to believe that Kai. Besides, he's very good looking. There's no shot someone as good looking as him would do that."
"Pshhh, whatever helps you sleep at night my friend. Besides, I'm definitely better looking than Steven is." Kai stated confidently, flexing one of his arms jokingly.
"You're more special than him too Kai." Sarah responded seductively, her brown eyes staring at Kai's blue ones. Kai, wanting to see where this would go, decided to continue the conversation.
"In what way, Sarah?"
Sarah stood up from sitting in the hot tub, her waist and below still submerged in the hot tub. She slowly approached Kai, who was sitting down looking up at her approaching with curiosity. Kai couldn't help but stare at Sarah and how stunning she looked. She was one of the most attractive girls he had ever met. Hell, one of the most attractive he had ever seen. She put most girls to shame in terms of her beauty. On top of this, Sarah surprisingly had a great personality. She was passionate, funny, and willing to help others for no cost. Soon, Sarah stood only inches from Kai sitting down. Sarah then sat on Kai's lap seductively, wrapping her arms around his neck, staring at him. Kai was shocked at her actions but kept quiet, having no complaints about what was occurring. The only thing Kai felt was an excitement and desire for the gorgeous girl who sat right in front of him. "Or rather on me…" Kai thought to himself, not believing his luck.
"I can think of a few. You're extremely brave." Sarah began talking quietly while maintaining eye contact with Kai, seemingly moving her face just a bit closer to his. Kai's hands shifted to where they grazed Sarah's hips, before letting them rest there. "You risked your life to protect others in Oreburgh City. You're selfless, always putting others ahead of yourself." Sarah stated, moving one of her hands behind Kai's head while the other now rested on the side of Kai's neck, pulling him towards her slightly. Kai's eyes closed just a bit, while still looking at Sarah, with his mouth parting slightly. The two were only a few inches away from each other, with the vibe having been completely flipped in the past two minutes.
"And I've wanted to do this for a while now…" Sarah whispered, before parting her lips and almost closing the distance between the two. Kai and Sarah both closed their eyes in anticipation, only an inch away from their lips connecting. Their lips brushed slightly against each other, hesitating. Feeling the contact, Kai and Sarah were about to fully commit. Just as the two of them were about to kiss, the loud speaker that was built into the wall inside the living room went off loudly. They both moved their faces away from each other quickly, having been scared shitless and interrupted when Cynthia's voice rang through he suite.
"There will be a debriefing in fifteen minutes inside Meeting Room 10. All of you are expected to be present. Don't be late." Cynthia wanted sternly, before transmission broke off. Sarah's hands gripped Kai's built shoulders, gripping them tightly due to having been caught off guard. She frowned, disappointed that their moment was ruined while Kai groaned rather loudly, his hands still resting on Sarah's waist. After all the good Cynthia had done for them, of course she had to ruin this one moment. Talk about unlucky timing. Sarah forced a small smile on her face, kissing Kai on his left cheek before getting out of the hot tub, wrapping a towel around herself and picking up her clothes.
"Don't be late handsome. We only have fifteen minutes." Sarah flirted with Kai. She walked towards the exit, but not before winking at him. Kai smiled, before hurrying out of the shower to prepare for their late night debriefing. Kai took only a few minutes getting changed again before rushing out of their suite. Not having much time, Kai jogged through hoards of workers, ignoring their confused or angry looks they gave him. Having barely a few seconds to spare, Kai burst through the door, grinning widely while Cynthia shook her head, smiling slightly. The meeting room stretched out a good distance, having 4 rows of counters. Each counter spread out across the whole room, facing the Speakers Stand and drawing board (Which their technology fitting the large board looked way too advanced for any of the group o operate). Each counter row contained approximately ten chairs, which also faced the board. Kai quickly took a seat next to May, who complimented him on his on time appearance. May definitely had no idea of the moment Kai and Sarah had just shared, which Kai was thankful for. While Kai didn't have feelings for either one of them, he also wasn't looking to start unnecessary drama about a kiss that didn't even happen. The Meeting Room only contained a few people, all sitting in the first row. Lucario, Kai, May, Sarah, Seiya, and one other male that Kai did not know of, were present. Before having any more time to analyze the room, Cynthia began speaking.
"Welcome everybody. I hope your ready Kai. This will be your guy's first official mission under Project Giratina." Cynthia said confidently and seriously, maintaining eye contact on Kai the entire time she spoke. Kai's face remained neutral, with a serious expression on his face. He remained quiet for a couple seconds, before speaking.
"Well what are we waiting for Champ? Let's do this." Kai stated confidently, with everyone in the room smiling at the competitive attitude Kai displayed. Cynthia smirked, nodding as she prepared to begin the debriefing that would make their involvement in the organization official.
Chapter 9 everybody! I took a quite a while on this chapter today (My longest so far, but that isn't saying much) so hopefully it came out well. I want to make a couple things clear. Kai does not hold any feelings towards May or Sarah, he simply finds them as attractive and good friends. May and Sarah are speculated by Kai and Lucario as liking Kai more than a friend. THIS IS JUST SPECULATION. This does not mean that Kai is wrong in his assumptions, or right. For battles in the future, Pokemon will know more than four moves. Just makes it more fun for me and hopefully you guys. Next chapter, I will be introducing another OC by LevelNineCPU. He was the one who submitted S.A Nine and is also the creator of the new trainer I will introduce soon. Lastly, I'll be ramping up how long the chapters are over time and as the story becomes more popular. Please Review or PM me any comments or suggestions, it really helps me out! Anyways, hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you all soon!
