Sweat was slowly making its way down the side of Ron's face as he concentrated on sensing his own magical core. He was at his usual place for sensing magic, Dumbledore had not arrived yet, and he was making the most progress he had yet with sensing his own core. Why the hell does it hurt so much?! The pain of sensing his own core was building up and it was becoming worse and worse. Ron could feel a sharp pinch at the back of his head, the pain was growing to an insufferable degree.
With a defeated sigh, Ron backed off of his own magical core and stopped sensing magic. He opened his eyes and surveyed the courtyard where he had sensed magic for almost two full months. That was definitely the longest I have ever sensed my own core. The book said that by starting with sensing your own core, wandless magic will come much easier because you are adapting your core to be a conduit for magic. Ron let out a shaky breath as he waited for the ache in his head to subside. He would have to live with the pain until he was able to do it easily and without pain and then he would start on wandless magic.
Ron had been working his ass off the last couple weeks. He had been dueling against a dummy at least twice every day and he had been getting better, not anything that would help him against any real wizard but against a level one dummy he could hold his own for a good amount of time. He was also on top of his schoolwork and classes. All the teachers had praised him for his work which felt really good. It felt nice to be praised for my hard work, I felt appreciated, I didn't feel totally invisible.
Ron had been trying his best to stay low during classes as he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself and give Malfoy another reason to say he was "unworthy of the house of Salazar". Why do I even care what Malfoy thinks, I'm a Weasley, I don't care what idiots like Malfoy think. I can take Malfoy and his goons down by myself with magic now so why am I staying in a corner like a scared animal? It didn't matter that Ron was trying to stay on the down low anyway, over the last two weeks people have been noticing, especially in Charms class as recently Professor Flitwick has been making Ron partner up with him as there wasn't an even number of kids in the class. Unlike McGonagall, Flitwick would constantly praise Ron within class, especially recently. The praise felt nice, even if Hermione was giving him weird looks ever since. Word of Flitwick's praises had even gotten to the twins and obviously they had a share of things to say.
"I'm really disappointed Ronnie, I didn't think you'd have it in you to join Percy and his club"
Ron was used to the twins teasing him, but it was still annoying. The twins always had a way of getting to him ever since he was younger, even now he has trouble not letting what they say get under his skin but most of the time it would and he would get angry, then sad and then take what they said to heart and have it affect his insecurities by making them worse.
Growing up with six siblings, Ron had grown comfortable with being the last within the family. He wasn't going to lie he hated that fact but he had just grown familiar with how he was treated within his family. Ron would be the first person to tell others that of the people in his family he had the least to offer but that still didn't make him feel better about the fact that his Mom would constantly steer him away from her when he had problems or wanted to spend time with her because she was spending time with Ginny.
Ron shook his head clear as he was slowly losing himself to the bitterness he held for his ever growing insecurities. He looked around once more before focusing himself once again and starting to sense magic again. As soon as Ron closed his eyes to start sensing magic, he felt a powerful magical presence in front of him by about twelve feet. Ron opened his eyes quickly to see that nothing was in front of him. What the hell?! Am I messing up with something? He closed his eyes again and again and he felt the strong magic that was swirling in front of him. It's very powerful and it's almost…familiar…Ron's eyes snapped open as he looked at the empty space in front of him.
"Uh…Headmaster?" Ron asked a little timidly, he still wasn't sure if Dumbledore was really in front of him or if he was just being a psycho and talking to air. Nothing happened for about five seconds before out of thin air Dumbledore just appeared smiling with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Ah, Ronald my boy" Dumbledore said, his cheer evident in his voice.
Ron was still reeling from what he just witnessed. Was he just invisible! That's bloody amazing! Dumbledore seemed to understand what Ron was thinking as his smile grew and he chuckled to himself. Dumbledore walked over to Ron and sat to Ron's left like usual.
"I see that you were amazed by the spell I just used, it's a rather easy spell, but it does look amazing and it's very useful to" Dumbledore said as he rested his hands on his legs. Easy!? He probably means easy for him, I mean come on, he's Albus Dumbledore!
"Headmaster sir, if it's not too much trouble…uh…what was that spell to be exact?" Ron was looking at Dumbledore waiting for his answer. Come on, you know you wanna tell me. I'm practically begging you with my eyes here. Dumbledore chuckled again, his eyes twinkling bright, his blue eyes seemed to Ron as the brightest thing in the courtyard even though it was the early morning.
"Ah, I see you're just a very curious boy". Hell no! I need this spell! "Then again you are a very academic student so maybe you just want to learn the spell for the academic purpose" Dumbledore said, he was now looking Ron in the eyes. Academic? What is he on about, I need it to become a better wizard and further better myself. What is this academic tripe? "Or maybe you wanna use the spell for nefarious purposes" what?! "Yes, maybe you want to use it to sneak into restricted areas of Hogwarts".
"Headmaster I-I w-would never I just was curious" Ron stammered out as quickly as he could. Dumbledore was watching Ron, his eyes and face full of humor before he started laughing loudly.
"Forgive me Ronald, I was simply having a laugh". Ron nearly fell over with relief. How was I supposed to know he was joking? He's the Headmaster aren't I supposed to take him seriously? "I know you wouldn't use the spell for nefarious purposes" Dumbledore chuckled as he looked forward again.
Ron looked forward as well as his shoulders relaxed. "So, um…the spell?". Ron tried his best not to sound nonchalant about his question but he could tell it came out as more desperate.
Dumbledore smiled to himself and then he cleared his throat and looked Down at Ron. "The disillusionment charm, it is a N.E.W.T. Spell so you'll have your work cut out for you if you want to learn it". Thank you world for the man right next to me, he's just giving me more spells to learn. I love it!
"Thank you sir" Ron closed his eyes as he started to sense the magic around him once again.
"How is Slytherin treating you? I hear you have been doing exceptionally well in classes, does Slytherin have to do with that?" Dumbledore said as he closed his eyes. What should I tell him? 'Oh yeah you know Slytherins are treating me great…Good…Mediocre…bad…terrible'.
"Um…well it's treating me…" Ron stopped himself as he didn't know what he should tell the Headmaster. Yeah that's right 'it's treating me'. What the hell am I on? Am I incapable of lying now?
"Ah yes" Dumbledore chuckled. "it is 'treating' you…so I'm guessing it's not treating you too well". No, no it's not.
"It's going ok I guess, I mean it started off a lot worse than it is now. I am doing good in classes and I do have to thank my sorting for that, I don't think if I got into any other of the houses I would be as dedicated to my work and magic. I do feel a little…um…lonely, but I'm sure that will go away soon enough". Ok that was an outright lie, will it go away soon? I doubt it. The headmaster seemed to be mulling over Ron's answers, coming up with his response.
"Sometimes we have to go through hard and trying times to become the best version of ourselves. Maybe getting sorted into Slytherin is your hard and trying time". Ron felt a small smile grace his face. Yeah, Slytherin is my trying time and I gotta become the best person I can be, the best wizard I can be.
"Thank you Headmaster" Ron said as he started to sense magic again. Dumbledore simply nodded with a smile on his face as he too began to sense magic.
Ron had a lot to do if he wanted to become the powerful wizard he dreamed about, and he was ready to put in the effort. He had been putting in the effort, he still was putting in the effort. He just had to make his way through all the practice and training without giving up.
"STOP!"
The dummy became lifeless in front of Ron. Ron had just been dueling against a level 1 dummy and he had held his own for about 4 minutes before the dummy took him down with two well aimed severing charms.
Ron used the spell Snape had told him about, 'Episkey', to heal the two places on his chest where he got hit by the dummy's spells. He felt the area he used the healing spell on to get colder before the cut sealed up with a little pinch. The spell had taken him almost a week to get down and he had practiced it for almost four hours each day but his work had finally paid off with him being able to heal most of his injuries.
Ron stood up as he got back in front of the dummy. Ok, I have to figure out a way to defeat this thing. I have read a couple books on dueling and I'm trying my best to follow the instructions, but it's a little hard to be calm when you have a stunner coming at you. Ron made sure he had a good grip on his wand, not too tight and not too loose, and then he looked the dummy straight in its faceless face. He breathed in and then out, feeling the cold air pass over his lips.
He steeled himself, ready for the dummy's attack. "Go!"
The dummy shot to life as it raised its wand and started to throw spell after spell at Ron. Ron tried his best to stay calm and collected so he could make accurate and small steps away from each spell. Since the dummy was on level one there were many openings in between each spell cast and Ron had to take advantage of that.
Ron rolled to the right as he flicked his wand upwards and started his own barrage of spells at the fastest speed he could. "Stupefy! Expelliarmus! Coercitio!". The dummy stepped out of the way of the stunner and disarming charm, Ron thought his third spell was going to hit the dummy as two long straps got closer and closer before the dummy slashed its wand upwards and cut both straps right through the middle. Damnit!
The dummy again started to throw spells at Ron. Ron tried his best to stay calm but it was getting harder and harder. "Incendio", Ron yelled as fire shot out of the tip of his wand. The fire hit the dummy square in the face and it started to burn the wood. Ron quickly shot off two stunners and a severing charm. The dummy dodged the two stunners a little clumsily as it was still disoriented from the fire, the dummy had put out the fire with water from its wand only seconds before, but the severing charm sliced right through the dummy's left arm, cutting it off.
The dummy didn't even stop after it's arm was cut off and it sent off a severing charm and a disarming charm. The severing charm sliced the edge of Ron's leg while Ron jumped out of the way of the disarming charm. C'mon Ron, don't jump like a scared idiot! Ron quickly lifted his wand upward before the dummy could shoot off another spell "Stupefy!".
The stunner was quicker than any stunner Ron had produced before and it quickly smashed into the chest of the dummy, knocking it out. Silent, that's what the room was as Ron stared at the defeated doll in shock. I did it! Bloody hell, I really did it, ha take that you stupid wooden doll! Ron was so ecstatic, he didn't even bother to heal the cut on his leg. He had just beaten a dummy for the first time in his life and he was proud of himself, very proud. He did have a good struggle with the dummy but at the end of it he came out on top. He was finally starting to improve

"Pulso Somnum!"
Yellow gas shot its way out of the top of Ron's wand. Ron had gotten the spell down about a week ago and he had been practicing it ever since just to make sure he has it at its full power. He hadn't been able to test the spell on anything as a dummy doesn't breathe.
Ron had been looking for more spells to learn as he had gotten down almost all of the spells he knew about. The only spell I don't have down that I know about is the disillusionment charm, but it's gonna be months before I'm even close to getting that down. He had been looking in tons of books for useful and easy spells to learn, he wanted to learn harder and more flashy spells but he had to think logically and the best idea would be to start with easier spells because of his wand. He would have plenty of time for the harder spells which demanded more from his magic, when he had his own wand. I seriously need a new wand, Charlie's wand is killing me, especially with the harder spells like 'Semita Recta'. Getting that spell down was hell.
Ron had chosen a couple spells to try and get down. The spells were 'Bracium', a spell that releases metal chains that act as a full body restraint, and 'Ventus Tria', a spell that is a stronger and more versatile version of a spell Ron already knew 'Ventus'.
It had been almost two months since the start of the school year and Ron was pretty happy with his progress. Just imagine what I'll be like in a year or two. Although Ron was learning more magic than his fellow students, he still wasn't anything impressive and he knew that. I still have a lot of work to do, I have to be dedicated to this whole magic thing or I'm gonna fail. I cannot fail. I don't want to fail. Ron had started this whole magic mission for the sole reason to prove his family and everyone else who doubted him wrong, but his reasons had changed since then. He had actually enjoyed learning the new magic, it felt amazing to him, to be able to learn magic on his own. Magic has helped me a whole lot, it's helped me to feel less…alone.
Alone…Ever since Ron was kicked out of the Slytherin common room that's exactly what he was, Alone, since he wasn't in the common room it was hard for him to even interact with any other kids, unless he was in classes he didn't even talk to others and that hardly counted as everyone was focused on the task at hand. At Least I'm not getting bothered as much, Malfoy hasn't bothered me much since I made a fool of him a while ago, he still sneers at me and mocks me in the halls with his little group though. What about the other Slytherins? Oh yes, Zabini, Nott and…what were the two girls' names again? Oh yeah Greengrass and Davis. Ever since the first week of school Nott and Zabini have joined up with Greengrass and Davis and seemed to not be around Malfoy much. None of those four had messed with Ron, besides Nott and Zabini on the first day, and Zabini helping Malfoy to kick me out of the dorm room. Since then though, Nott and Zabini haven't been associating with Malfoy, I wonder why?
Either way it didn't change the fact that none of them cared to talk to him either. At first, Ron thought he was gonna be fine on his own, but he was terribly wrong, he was lonely as hell and he didn't know what to do about it. Maybe I should try talking to one of my classmates?…ugh! Why does it feel so hard to talk to someone, I have to at least try to talk to someone.
Ron's head hit the wall as he rested against it and let out a long sigh. He looked at the clock hanging on the wall and decided it was about time he got ready for class.
"Get to work"
Snape made his way over to his desk as the class got to work on their potions. Okay, this is a very simple potion, no need to put too much thought into it. While Ron quickly got his potion done, he noticed how Nevill and Harry, who were seated in front of him, were struggling with their potion and were making a good amount of mistakes. Should I help them? I don't know, isn't that what friends do? Wait…are we even friends? Ron sighed to himself as he leaned over his desk slightly, not enough for Snape to notice, but enough so Harry and Neville could hear him.
"Neville, hey Neville". I feel like a complete idiot whispering like this. Neville looked at Ron over his shoulder.
"Ron? Is something wrong?". Is something wrong? Is this guy stupid?!
"Yes something is wrong, your about to melt your cauldron again!" Ron quickly looked around making sure he wasn't to loud before lowering his voice again.
"Here take this", he grabbed a tiny vial that was full of horned serpent scales that were shredded very thin, "add a couple pinches of those scales and it should even out the potentness of your potion".
Harry looked at Ron worriedly as Neville inspected the vial, "Are you sure Ron? I mean, I know you're good at potions, but Horned Serpent scales aren't on the ingredients list". Oh. Well that's a reasonable concern, but still listen to me!
"I know that Harry, but you and Neville have really screwed up your potion and those scales will fix it to a good degree. Look Harry, just trust me Harry, I know what I'm talk-"
"Harry, don't listen to him!" Hermione whisper-shouted at Harry.
Ron looked over to Hermione, who he hadn't noticed had only been a chair down from Harry and Neville.
"He doesn't know what he's talking about, I've read thoroughly through the potions book and nothing about this potion has to do with horned serpent scales, you're just gonna make the potion worse". That's not true, well the part about it not being in the potions book this year is true, I found it out on my own when I screwed up this potion the first couple times I brewed it.
"Trust me Harry, Snape is gonna hate what you have now, what do you have to lose. Just trust me". Cmon Harry, I'm trying to help you! Harry looked back and forth from Hermione, who was quickly and worriedly shaking her head at him, and Ron, who was nodding his head slightly, inclining Harry to use the scales. Before Harry could even make a choice though…
"There!" Neville exclaimed as he put the amount of scales Ron had suggested into his cauldron. Harry's eyebrows rose to the top of his head and got hidden by his hair, Hermione looked like she was about to faint from shock or anger, Ron couldn't tell which, and Ron was beaming at Neville. There you go Neville, just because I'm a Slytherin doesn't mean you can't trust me, just watch!
"Neville, what is wrong with you! Why do you always have to do the exact opposite of what I say!" Hermione seemed to be venting out her frustrations about something.
"It's not like that Hermione!" Neville pleaded with her, as he tried to stay quiet so Snape wouldn't take more points from Gryffindor. "It's just that Ron was right about us having nothing to lose, our potion was already horrible, so I took a shot with the scale".
Hermione shook her head in disappointment "I hope you'll listen to me more often when you see the result of your concoction". Haha! Yeah the beautiful result of a decent potion. I can't wait to see her face when Snape checks it, she always gets so competitive about stuff like this!
"Hell yeah Neville! Putting those scales in was the best decision of your life, you'll see"
"Ronald, language!" Hermione scolded. The three boys couldn't help but snicker and they all tried desperately to be quiet.
"Alright, time is up, I will now inspect the potions you have brewed today". Snape started walking around the classroom and making comments on each potion he saw, some kids would start smiling boldly as he commented on theirs, others seemed to hide their gaze from him. As Snape got closer to Neville, the more nervous the boy became, his body posture kept getting smaller and smaller. Oh c'mon Neville. Have faith in your ginger friend over here.
Snape stopped in front of Ron and took a quick look at his potion, before smirking a tiny almost unnoticeable smirk and then nodding, Snape then moved over to Neville and Harry. He had a sneer ready on his face, but it quickly vanished and was replaced by shock as he saw the contents of the cauldron.
"How?" Snape almost whispered. Snape quickly snapped his head towards Hermione. "Was this you Ms. Granger? Did you help these two poor fools with their potion? Five points from Gryffindor!"
Hermione's eyes widened like saucers as she started to sputter for an answer. Ron came to the rescue before she could spit out a single word. "No, she didn't professor. I helped them out, I gave them some Horned Serpent scales to even out the potentness of their potion". There's no way I'm gonna let Hermione or Gryffindors house points take the fall for me.
Snape's dark eyes locked onto Ron's and he just stood there staring for a good fifteen seconds. Snape then took his wand and waved it over Neville's cauldron.
"Hmm…Horned serpent scales you say?…very smart and creative. 5 points to Slytherin for your excellent understanding of potion ingredients and for helping out a fellow student". Seriously 'very smart', let's GO! Snape acknowledged me as smart, are you serious! Merlin, if you can hear me right now, I wholeheartedly thank you.
Snape looked at Neville and Harry once more, "I see the you are still both so incompetent that you can't finish a potion on your own or together, thanks to Mr. Weasley neither of you will end up with another detention for melting a cauldron and endangering your fellow classmates". Snape then sneered, "you should be very thankful", he then proceeded to swiftly turn his back on the two Gryffindors and make his way to the next desk. Geez, I don't know how I feel about that, I mean…they're my friends right? So shouldn't I stick up for them? Before Ron could dwell on the matters of his relationship with the trio, the class ended and they were all dismissed. I guess I better make my way to my next class. On Ron's way out he overheard Harry calling Snape a "greasy bat". Snape has been very good to me, even giving me a new spell to learn, but he has been a real git to Harry, so…is Harry really all that wrong?
Thursday, October 31st, 1991
It was Halloween, the feast was tonight. Shit, am I excited for this feast? Hell yes! Food is the perfect thing to fix any mood and to have a full feast dedicated to the beautiful subsection of food known as desert is truly amazing! Ron jumped from his bed with a big smile on his face as he made his way over to a desk and pulled out his outfit for the day. Hmm…yes this should work! He pulled out a slightly wrinkled shirt and put it on before tying his tie the neatest he could (which wasn't that neat) and putting on his robe. Ron picked up his wand and headed over to the couch.
Ron sat down carefully and closed his eyes to start sensing magic. I feel the magic whirling around me, I feel the essence of power, of something truly sign-
Grumble*
Ron's eyes shot wide open as he looked down to his stomach which was practically roaring with hunger, Ron smiled and chuckled to himself as he got up from the couch. I guess I'll skip my morning practice today, not a huge deal, it's Halloween.
Thursday, October 31st, 1991 (charms class)
"Alright class, today we will be practicing the levitation charm 'Wingardium Leviosa', now remember to swish and flick"
The class quickly got to work as Ron started reciting spells in his head. Alright let's see what I got down, 'Coercitio', 'Semita Recta', 'Pulso Somnum', 'Episkey', 'Stupefy', 'Expelliarmus', 'Lumos', 'Nox', 'Ventus', 'incendio', 'Glacius', 'Engorgio', 'Wingardium levio-
"Hey Ron?"
Ron snapped out of his thoughts as he looked up to see Neville and Harry looking at him expectantly.
"Could you help us with the spell?" Harry asked eagerly, while Neville sat back shyly. They want my help? Sweet!
"Yeah I'd-"
"I can help you Harry" Ron was cut off by Hermione. Oh…well Hermione can help them, she's very smart.
"That's okay Hermione, Ron can help us" Harry said back with a smile as he looked back at Ron. Hermione looked like she was about to say something for a second before she shook her head and spoke again.
"Harry I can really help you though, how do you know Ron can even do the spell, he's just sitting there doing nothing". The trio looked at him expectantly. I swear, why ask for my help if you don't think I can help. Ron lazily swished and licked his wand as he said "Wingardium Leviosa", the feather floated up into the or and stayed there for about five seconds before Ron dropped it.
"Oh my, excellent, very excellent Mr. Weasley. As to be expected, that you would get the spell down with ease, five points to Slytherin". After the praise from Professor Flitwick, Hermione looked like she was gonna snap, she looked back down to her feather and levitated it herself.
Harry and Neville quickly asked Ron questions on how to perform the spell and Ron gladly helped them through it.
After class ended Hermione had rushed out with a huff as during the last couple minutes both Harry and Neville performed the levitation spell quite well and it infuriated her that Ron could teach well too. Is she okay? Ron watched Hermione rush out of the class and he sighed to himself. I should go check on her, make sure she's okay, make sure she doesn't hate me now. It's not like I'm trying to compete with her. Ron quickly left the classroom and made his way to catch up to Hermione.
"Hey Hermione, wait up!"
Hermione turned around to stare at Ron as he made his way towards her. "About what happened in charms class, you should-"
"I don't care Ron"
"Hmm?" Ok I'm officially confused now.
"I don't care that you're better at magic than me" oh, wait I'm not better at magic than her, she's literally a million times smarter than me. "I don't care that Harry and Neville prefer you over me, and think you're smarter than me"
"They don't think that" but Ron was cut off again.
"I don't care that the teachers recognize you more than me" seriously?
"Hermione they don't-"
"I DON'T CARE RON!" Hermione yelled in frustration. Ron stepped back in shock. What the hell? Is she okay? Well obviously she isn't okay you dumb ass, just look at her and listen to her.
"Just…just take a hint Ron". Huh? What do you mean 'take a hint'…
"Just leave me alone Ron"…what?…
Hermione then turned around and walked away. I…what?…I thought we were friends, I had no idea that she felt that way about me. If she feels that way, how do Harry and Neville feel about me? Do I really have no friends. Ron chuckled to himself. " I really am just a friendless loser" he said as tears started to well up in his eyes. I have to get out of here. Ron quickly rushed out of the hallway and down near the dungeons to the boys restrooms and locked himself in a stall.
"Stop crying, you little bitch!" But Ron wouldn't stop crying, he cried and cried and cried.
"Gruahhh!"
Ron's eyes shot open, he looked around himself and noticed that he was still in the restroom and in the fetal position. Geez…I have to stop being a little bitch…and hey! What the hell is that noise, oh hell and that smell! Ron quickly got up and dusted off his robes before exiting the stall and looking up.
"Welp that answers my question"
Could Ron's life be any worse? He doubted it, because at that moment he found a 12 foot tall troll, looking as stupid and smelly as ever. Oh and scary, did I mention scary, I don't think I mentioned scary. Welp, who the fuck cares that I didn't mention it, I'm about to die anyway.
"Well…hello nice troll…uh…man?" I have no idea what I'm doing, I feel stupid. "How are you doing, oh you're not doing too well, is it the temperature? Yeah I understand, they seriously have to add some better warming charms down here in the dungeons, it's terribly-"
Ron didn't have time to finish his sentence, as the troll had growled and swung its club down at Ron with incredible speed for such a large and sluggish looking creature.
"Woah there buddy!" Ron yelled as he jumped out of the way of the club. "We just met mate and you already wanna crush me, am I really that repulsive?"
The troll made a very disgusting noise and charged towards Ron, who acted quickly and pulled out his wand. Ok here goes nothing. Ron rolled on the ground and in between the troll's legs. He swiftly shot up to his feet, "Expelliarmus, Stupefy", both spells sped their way towards the troll's head, but both seemed to just disintegrate on impact. "Damn, you're really thick headed, so your skin is very resilient to magic, I see, but there still has to be some damage done by those spells…hmm…is that maybe why you're so stupid, too many stunners to the head?" Ron quickly shot off two more stunners towards the troll's head and then he yanked the restroom door open and bolted down the hallway.
Unluckily for Ron, the stunners did absolutely nothing to troll and it quickly followed after Ron, it's heavy feet leaving loud 'thuds' as it chased after Ron.
"C'mon you big oaf" Ron yelled as he shot a cutting curse at the troll "am I that amazing, you have to follow me around everywhere, or is that I'm so disgusting that you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you didn't crush me right now, because I honestly can't tell!"
Ron quickly turned a corner and tried his best to formulate a plan. Ok I have to think of something or I'm gonna be troll food, literally! Ok calm down Ron, I have to be smart about this. Ok 'Coercitio', 'Semita Recta' and 'Pulso Somnum', you got this. Ron spun on the spot and stood still as he waited for the troll. He heard the thuds get closer and closer and he got ready, within seconds the troll was in front of Ron. "Coercitio!" two black straps shot out of the tip of Ron's wand and wrapped themselves around the troll's legs. Ron quickly yanked his wand arm up and the two straps tightened so much that both of the troll's legs snapped.
The troll roared with pain as it was forced onto its knees. Oh god, I think I'm gonna be sick, why did I do that, I'm a horrible person. No! I'm just protecting myself, just shut up and finish this.
"Semita Recta!", a red cone appeared in front of Ron and he aimed his wand in the center of the cone, "Pulso Somnum" he yelled with conviction. Thick and wide spurts of yellow gas shot out of Ron's wand and entered the red cone, quickly forming a directed line of gas and hitting the troll directly in the face.
"Ha! Take that you stupid troll, I won, I beat you-"
…
"Oh shit!"
The troll, although in a daze from the gas, had stood up on its legs, it's broken legs, and swung its club directly at Ron. Well…fuck. Ron had no time to dodge, hell to even register the movement of the troll, and he was hit directly with the club. He was sent flying across the air and directly into the wall, his body slumped on the ground as his vision started to blur. He noticed the troll collapse as the gas finally took its toll on the beast. Hey I took it down...nice…is that blood? Damn…I had a nice life right? Haha! Yeah no I didn't, fuckin hell, I'm about to die when my life is at a really shitty and lonely point…damn. His vision blurred even more and everything started to go black as he heard faint noises that sounded incredibly familiar.
"Mr. Weasley!"
"Young Ronald!"
He saw three figures, he couldn't tell any defining features of any of them. Hey, other people, are they here to help?. Then, everything went dark for Ron.
Thank you all for reading! I hope you all enjoyed it, and please tell me what you guys think of this chapter, I tried my best :)
