Terrible Timing of Truthfulness

Now that I have gotten what I consider to be the initial prologue and set up out of the way in the first three chapters, the story can really start.

Chapter 4: Confusion, Disappointments, and Rumors

Ron yawns as his alarm clock rings and he wakes up and he goes to shower and then he gets dressed in his typical Ron outfit, he has the same outfit, of course, he knows that, he also knows that it may make him look like a slob, but the fact is that it is simply easier for him to wear the same outfit, because Ron is colorblind, not that anyone really knows that. Ron also has other conditions as well that has been kept from people, including Kim. Something that his mom had said years ago comes to mind, 'I don't want you to have an excuse to whine about things being unfair in life all the time. So, these issues, don't really exist.' He shakes his head, remembering those words. Despite being colorblind, it is not that he can't see any colors at all, that is a popular misconception with color blindness that people don't understand. Ron looks over at Rufus and wakes him up, "Hey buddy, come on, let's go and get breakfast." After that, he takes Rufus downstairs and he checks the refrigerator only to find it mostly empty, "Oh right, needed to do grocery shopping yesterday." He shakes his head, he was so busy being angry, well angry not really being the right word that he forgot, "Guess we got to get breakfast somewhere else."

Rufus chatters and crawls up his arm, "hnk, Kim' House. Food. Talk." He suggests and he looks at Ron.

Ron smiles, he both loves Mrs. Dr. P breakfast in the morning, and he needs to at least talk to Kim, "Okay, we can go to Kim's house to eat and talk. I am going to talk to her however, I am not going to be apologizing to her."

With that said, he squares his shoulders and makes sure that he has everything he needs and he locks the door behind him as he heads out and he walks on down the street and he whistles slightly, he is going to try to at least be in a good mood around Kim's family, who is very much like his own, Mrs. Dr. P has feed him more than his own mother has. Jim and Tim are very much like brothers to him as well, he had been around since they were born. He sees the familiar house and he walks inside and he gives out his standard greeting, "What's up Possible People?" He asks as he walks goes into the kitchen and see Ann in front of the stove and James is sitting at the table drinking coffee

Ann looks over, "Hey Ron, wow, mission must have really ran long for it to take all day and night before you and Kim could get home, sit on down and eat some breakfast?"

Ron frowns, he had figured that Kim would have gotten back within a few hours, "Mission? Uhh, I didn't go on that mission Mrs. Dr. P."

James, who is reading the paper, looks up, "Wait, so you mean you didn't go on that Mission and you have no idea where my Kimmie Cub is?" He frowns, trying to comprehend what he just heard.

Ron chuckles nervously, "Uhh yes sir, I found out that Kim had been lying about some things, involving me and everything, and well, we got into an argument."

James shakes his head, "Well, what are you waiting for? Pull out your Kimmunicator and call Wade in order to track her down and then go rescue her." He says as if it is the most obvious thing in the world to do right now.

Ron, still feeling nervous, "Uhh, yeah, I am afraid that I can't do that either Mr. Dr. P. I would, but the thing is, I don't have a Kimmunicator, it was considered non-important that I get one, and as far as I know, I am the only one on the team that is microchipped, not Kim. I guess it was always figured that I was the only one that could get kidnapped or captured or go missing and that it would never happen to Kim. Kind of short-sighted on their part when you think about it really." He says, trailing off as if that is an afterthought.

James is ready to pull his hair out, both at Ron's casual dismissiveness and apparent lack of worry over Kim and that fact that Ron seems incapable of doing anything about it right now, solely through fault that is not his own, but the short-sightedness of his daughter and Wade, "Then get to school, get to Kim's computer and contact Wade. Find Kim, please for me."

Ron looks at him, "Don't worry sir, Kim is as good as found." He promises and he quickly leaves for school, not even bothering to get a bite to eat, he arrives at school not long after it opens and he goes on up to Kim's locker and he begins to enter the combination to the locker.

"Stoppable!" A voice calls out as Mr. Barkin walks down the hall toward him, "breaking into Possible locker, I see, Detention, this afternoon. Now scram." He barks at Ron pointing on down the hallway.

Ron decides to try to explain, "Mr. Barkin, sir, you don't understand, I need to get into Kim's locker." He says, holding up his hands in defense.

"Yeah, yeah, she needs notes out of there, she left her homework in her locker, I know you are just looking for a homework assignment or something to copy, I won't have you cheating in my school, because you cannot and will not be able to cheat your way through life, now get on down the hallway and into class punk!" He yells at him.

Ron scoffs and he sighs, and he walks on down the hall and he thinks to himself, 'Great, now I try to help Kim and I get detention for it.' He goes on throughout the day, there are whispers about him, about the fight that he and Kim had yesterday, of course, it is also noticed that she is absent today and there are those that know that she went on a mission yesterday.

The day seems to stretch out very long for Ron and he is hoping to catch a break at lunch time, maybe he can get a hold of Wade on Kim's computer during lunch while Mr. Barkin is in the cafeteria. He is thinking, 'Okay Stoppable. Keep a plan simple, get your food, and then sit down and start to eat, make sure Barkin sees that you are there and then quietly slip out of the Cafeteria.' He gets his food and he sits down and then he starts to eat when suddenly a shadow is above him and he looks up and he sees a fiery expression of anger on Monique's face as her eyes seem to glow in some kind of brown burning fire of anger, "oh, s'up babygirl?" He asks, calling her by his nickname.

Monique is glaring at him, "S'up babygirl? Don't you s'up babygirl me Ronald Dean Stoppable. I want to hear why Kim is absent today! There are rumors going around that you two went on a mission yesterday that went south, and you left her behind! Did you abandon Kim?!"

Ron shakes his head, "I never went on that mission, for the record, I would never abandon Kim while on a mission, I'd die before that happened. I was just angry at Kim for reasons that are too much to explain right now and so I will be going to figure out where she is and what has happened." He gets up and walks off, leaving his tray behind and he walks to Kim's locker and he opens it

Monique looks surprise, having calmed down once she had heard that, followed him and seen him opening Kim's locker, "You have the combination to Kim's locker?" She asks.

Ron smiles and shakes his head, "As she does to mine. It's no big deal." He says and he turns on the computer, "Wade?"

Wade appears, "Ron, Wade here, and boy am I glad to see you, Kim is MIA, she hasn't reported in since dropping in to stop Drakken."

Ron looks at him, "Alright Wade, get me Kim's last known location and get me a ride." He says and he stands there, waiting.

Wade looks at him, "Okay, I got you Kim's last location, but getting you a ride is going to be tricky, see…uhh…well, you just don't have the favors owed to you that Kim does and so I can't just get…you a ride."

Monique speaks up, "Are you serious right now? Just because Babyboy isn't as well known as Kim is, that means he can't get a ride to go and assist her if she is in trouble?"

Wade chuckles, "Well, it is not just can't, it is more of, not knowing when the ride will be there and uhh, having no way of contacting Ron when the ride is there due to the fact that he doesn't have a Kimmunicator."

Ron is thinking and he sighs, "Get in touch with Global Justice, tell them that they still me owe me one for that Ron-Factor thing getting me kidnapped by WWEE."

Wade looks at him, "Okay, so how should we stay in contact till then?"

Ron looks at him, "Figure out how to get a kimmunicator sent to me or something." He closes the locker and he walks off and he heads to the gym and he goes and sits down on one of the bleacher.

Monique follows him and looks at him, "Sorry babyboy about getting mad at you and all, I was just worried that Kim might be in trouble and well, the rumors and everything, seeing you, I figured that you'd have been the only one that could answer my question. I hope you understand."

Ron gets in a meditation pose as he is sitting, "It's fine babygirl." He begins to meditate, and he is blocking out everything and he begins to glow blue. He begins to focus more, 'Sensei, can you hear me? Are you there?'

'Stoppable-San, I can sense that you are distressed. Is that why you have contacted me?'

He smiles, feeling almost peaceful, 'Yes Sensei, I… feel conflicted on who I am, what I need to do and what I feel I must do next. I could use your wisdom to guide me.'

'The wisest among us surround himself with people who are in wisdom and when needed, he seeks their council. Yamanouchi will always be there Stoppable-San. What is your problem?'

Ron takes and breath and then explains everything to Sensei who listens calmly, and he finally asks, 'So what should I do Sensei?'

'This…global justice? Do you trust it Ron?' He asks.

Ron considers this, a question that he might have asked himself, but has never really tried to answer before and he really thinks about this, not just for one minute, but several minutes, 'Sensei, to be honest, I don't know, I mean the head of global justice is the sister to the head of the World Wide Evil Empire. Truthfully, at times, I feel like a player in some kind of game or war between siblings who never got over their differences.'

'I can have Yori and a ride to your school by that afternoon, is that acceptable Stoppable-San?'

Ron smiles, 'Yes, it is, thank you Sensei, truthfully, I am happy to not have to rely on global justice.' He then gets out of his mediation pose and he looks at Monique who was staring at him, "uhh, so…what's new with you?"

Monique is still staring, and she stutters, "I…but, you were just, glowing blue and sorta floating and everything and what was that?"

Ron chuckles lightly, "Don't worry, a friend is coming to get me and then we are going to go after Kim, everything will be fine. They will be here this afternoon."

Monique looks confused, "But what about global justice?"

Ron shakes his head, "I am not going to wait for Betty to decide to send a ride and then some bullshit agents who probably won't even take my opinion seriously enough to so much as even listen to a suggestion that I make, no matter how logical that it may be, because I am who I am. I am getting a ride and back up that I know I can trust."

The day continued to go by, it was mostly uneventful, but the waiting was the worse part, and just as the final bell rings, Yori arrives, and she walks up, "Stoppable-San, I am relieved to see you well, shall we go?"

Ron smiles at Yori, "Yes, let's get going." He says as he begins to head toward the door.

Mr. Barkin speaks up, "You aren't forgetting about detention are you Stoppable?"

Ron stops and he doesn't turn around to look at Mr. Barkin, "No, I am not Mr. Barkin, I am just not serving it, I got something a bit more important to do. Let's go Yori." With that, they walk out, Mr. Barkin can be heard yelling in the background as they leave and they get up to the car that will take them to the airport.

"Babyboy, wait." Monique runs up and Ron turns to look at her to ask what is it and she leans over and kisses his cheek, "Find Kim and bring her back safely, you come back safely too, you hear me?"

"You got it." Ron says with a smile and then he gets in the car and it drives them both to the airport.
