Nine had knocked out Hilda by hitting the back of her head with the bottom of the knife, immediately knocking her out.

Nine and Leaf were away from the main group, hidden behind a few stands of boxes and metal crates. Nine led Leaf outside of the warehouse, taking her a distance away from the group to avoid being discovered. Leaf was forced to cooperate, mainly due to the damn knife that had the ability to end her life within seconds.

Nine and Leaf were a solid distance away from the warehouse now, standing behind the cover of a large tree. The Chaos agent stripped Leaf's belt, making sure she had no access to her Pokemon. Then, she threw Leaf to the ground, Leaf crying out in pain as she hit the ground harshly. She was about to move until Nine pressed the blade against her neck again, before threatening her.

"Contact Kai right now. Make him come here and surrender himself, or I'll kill you this instant." Nine said seriously, gritting her teeth.

"No chance. I refuse-" Leaf was interrupted as Nine stabbed her leg with the knife, covering Leaf's mouth with her other hand as the brunette cried in pain.

Leaf couldn't stop the tears from escaping her eyes, the pain unbearable. Her leg felt like it was on fire, due to Nine's actions. It was unbearable.

"Do it. Now!" Nine said, moving the knife against her neck again. Leaf whimpered while still laying on the ground, before pressing her earpiece.

"Kai, Agent Nine has got me. She wants you to come over here and surrender yourself. I'm sorry." Leaf gasped out in pain. The two of them waited almost two minutes, before they heard Kai speak.

"I'm coming Nine. Don't hurt her or I swear you'll regret it."

"Kai, Agent Nine has got me. She wants you to come over here and surrender yourself. I'm sorry." Leaf's voice rang through the Communication's room, making Cynthia and Kai widen their eyes in surprise. Their microphone was muted, so nobody could hear Kai speak.

"I'm going now, Cynthia. I need to teleport there now!" Kai said, his voice leaking with panic and nervousness. Cynthia remained calm, however, pausing to think for a few seconds. Kai gritted his teeth, waiting for her to respond.

"I won't stop you from going, since her life is on the line. But we are doing this MY way! Cynthia explained, with Kai reluctantly nodding.

"A Gardevoir will teleport you there. Before going there, I'm going to fit you with a tracker. It's clear that they are going to bring you to one of their bases, most likely trying to extract information from you and remove you from the equation. I doubt that they will kill you."

"Oh, well that's a relief." Kai said jokingly, forcing a smile.

"They'll most likely keep you alive to try and use you because of your powers. With the tracker I'm fitting on you, we'll be able to find you and rescue you. Is that clear?" Cynthia asked the teenager. Kai nodded quickly, showing his acceptance and how he understood her instructions.

Kai unmuted his microphone before speaking.

"I'm coming Nine. Don't hurt her or I swear you'll regret it." Kai stated, muting it shortly after.

A minute later, two members of the organization came into the room with a long needle on a syringe. Kai groaned when seeing the needle, knowing that the tracker was inside the fluid in the needle.

"Fuck me." Kai whispered to himself, wincing as somebody pressed the syringe to his neck, inserting the liquid into him.

"I'm good, thanks." Cynthia joked, smiling at the teenager as he glared at her. The other member handed Kai the pokeball which contained Gardevoir. Before teleporting, Kai gave Cynthia his belt of pokeballs, explaining that it would be better since he would just lose them once he was captured.

"Master, are you sure you want to go through with this." Lucario asked worriedly.

"I have to buddy. Don't worry, I'll be alright. I know you all will find me. Take care of my Pokémon and Lucario, Cynthia." Kai stated, patting Lucario's head before looking at Gardevoir. Kai gave the order to her, with the two of them teleporting immediately after.

Kai and Gardevoir looked around after teleporting, noticing that they were right outside the warehouse. Kai told Gardevoir to return back to HQ, since she had finished her job. Gardevoir nodded, teleporting away instantly. Kai sighed, knowing that this would most definitely suck.

The aura user closed his eyes, pulsing out his aura to scan his surroundings. Kai felt the aura signatures of the other Ghosts inside the warehouse. However, he also sensed two aura signatures 200 feet into the forest in front of him. Kai began walking in that direction, knowing that it was Special Agent Nine and Leaf that were there.

Soon, Kai saw Leaf and Nine. Leaf was whimpering quietly as Nine stood behind her, with one arm wrapped around her neck while the other held a knife to her stomach. Kai tightened his lips when seeing Leaf crying, feeling sorry for the brunette. Leaf was relieved that Kai had appeared, but also guilty that she caused him to come here.

"Ok Nine, I'm here. Let Leaf go. I did what you wanted." Kai reasoned with the violet haired woman. Kai was forced to cooperate with Nine, since she had Leaf in a dangerous position. Kai wanted so badly to take a risk, throwing an aura sphere or attempting to disarm Nine before she could hurt Leaf.

Kai cursed internally, however, knowing that it was too much of a risk. He knew that it was the worst decision he could make. He had no choice but to do whatever Nine wanted. Leaf was in too much danger.

The tall woman shook her head, before responding.

"Not yet. Press this against your neck." Nine ordered Kai, tossing a metal collar onto the floor in front of him. Kai groaned when seeing the collar, knowing exactly what it was. It was an inhibitor collar, which would prevent Kai from using any of his aura powers. By putting that on, he knew he was screwed. Kai wouldn't be able to defend himself and he also didn't have any Pokemon.

Having no other choice, the black-haired teenager grabbed the inhibitor collar, pressing it against his neck. Automatically, the collar opened and closed against Kai's neck, now stuck to the teenager.

"Happy bitch?" Kai asked rhetorically. The tall Chaos Agent simply smiled at this, knowing she had Kai at the tip of her fingers.

"I'm so s-sorry Kai. Pl-please forgive me." Leaf stuttered out, tears escaping her eyes. Nine rolled her eyes at the girl before hitting her with the bottom of the blade, only knocking the girl unconscious. Kai became enraged at Nine hitting her, losing his cool.

"You fucker! I swear to Arceus you giraffe I'm going to-" Kai's angry threat was interrupted as Nine walked up the boy, cutting off his speech by hitting him harshly in the stomach, knocking the air out of him. Kai fell onto his knees, wheezing for air desperately. It was only a few seconds later that Nine hit the back of his head, making the world go black.

"Why didn't you let us help?! We could have helped Leaf and Kai! Now, Kai is screwed and is going to get tortured like a war criminal!" Hilbert yelled in the debriefing room; his statements directed towards Cynthia. Hilda was just as upset as Hilbert, glaring at the blonde Champion. The rest of the group was calm, understanding that Cynthia acted appropriately and learned to trust the Champion.

However, due to Hilbert and Hilda being new, they had yet to understand that Cynthia didn't let Kai surrender because she wanted to. She did it to save and preserve the life of Leaf, who was in imminent danger.

Leaf was in the Med Bay, asleep due to the surgery she had on her leg from the stab wound. The surgery was not serious at all, but she was required to be put under by anesthesia for the doctors to operate. It had been a few hours since the group had successfully completed Operation Enlightenment.

Cynthia was about to respond to Hilbert, but Seiya beat her to it.

"Because it was the only choice she had. Leaf would have been killed if Agent Nine didn't get what she wanted. This was the only safe way where we could make sure that no one ended up dead." Seiya stated reasonably, adjusting his glasses. Not wanting to argue anymore, Hilda nodded and agreed with Seiya.

"You're right, I apologize Cynthia. I know that you're giving out orders in everyone's best interest." Hilda said. Hilbert refused to accept this, however, still arguing with the group.

"You don't know that! Kai could be dead right now! Besides, we don't even know where he is." Hilbert angrily shouted, losing his temper quickly. It was a gigantic change in personality, since the boy was usually so carefree and always laughing. It was an understandable change though, considering that his friend that he had gotten close with over these past weeks had been kidnapped and could be dead.

"We will know where he is soon. I installed a tracker on him before he left. That way, we will be able to know where he is and rescue him." Cynthia explained, with the majority of the group sighing in relief.

"Ok, then if we know where he is now, why can't we go rescue him now?" Sarah asked, confused with the plan now, since Cynthia seemed pretty laid back. Cynthia rubbed her eyes with her fingers, being exhausted like the rest of the group. After a moment, she spoke.

"Because the tracker shows that it is offline. This could be because of a number of reasons. It could be because he is currently moving underground, the connection, or they somehow removed it from his body. We don't have a way of knowing why. We can only wait until this changes." Cynthia said hopefully. The group sat in silence before Silas spoke.

"Or because he's already dead." Silas stated emotionlessly. Silas did not mean for it to come out so heartlessly, but the boy wasn't great with social interactions and speech. The group argued with Silas and each other, turning against one another. Harley remained quiet, not wanting to involve himself.

For Harley, things could not be going more smoothly. He had shown the others that he was truly a member of Project Giratina. Even Silas apologized to him after the mission, saying that he realized how far off his assumptions were. Harley accepted the apology, reassuring the younger boy that it was ok. Now, Kai was even captured by Chaos. The best part about it was that it wasn't even part of the plan.

Harley did not notify Chaos of the attack, knowing that it could be crucial to proving his place on the team. The spy had only notified the Boss due to wanting him to know where Harley's loyalties lied. It just so happened that Special Agent Nine had to be near the warehouse, or even there. She took advantage of this opportunity and was able to blackmail the Ghosts into giving up Kai. It was truly brilliant.

The best part about it was that Kai was screwed. Truly fucked. Harley knew that the reason Kai was not able to be tracked was due to the signal jammers that were placed inside of their headquarters. It would be impossible to have a tracker work there. Kai was out of the equation. For good.

"All right, that's enough! All of you return to your sleeping areas! I will speak more on this tomorrow. It's already late." Cynthia ordered sternly, glaring at the group. Reluctantly, the group agreed, heading towards their own sleeping areas. Cynthia sighed, feeling mentally destroyed and exhausted from losing Kai so easily. The mission was a success. However, it came at a cost far greater than shutting down one base.

Kai was woken up by a bucket full of freezing cold water being thrown onto him, jolting him awake. Kai gasped in panic, due to the insanely cold water and being woken up in such a manner. It took a few seconds for Kai to recompose himself. Once he was able to, the aura user took in his surroundings.

In front of him stood Special Agent Nine, wearing a casual outfit for once. She wore black leggings, with a red tank top. She smirked, dropping the bucket onto the floor after waking up the teenager. Kai was inside of a small concrete room. The teenager was tied into a chair, with his wrists being tied behind the chair and his ankles tied to the legs of the chair.

"Don't even bother getting out. You don't have your powers because of the collar." Nine stated, grinning wildly at the tied-up teenager.

"Kinky, huh?" Kai asked, hoping to strike a nerve. Nine dropped her smile, but the insult didn't seem to affect her too much. She wasn't wrong with her statement though, considering that it was metal chains that tied him to the chair. Kai searched the room for anything he can find to help him escape.

The room was completely empty, with one door in front of him. It had concrete walls and a floor, with one light shining in the middle of the room. "Please, don't let this be a torture room." Kai thought to himself.

"Yep, it's a torture room." The tall and dangerous woman stated nonchalantly.

"Fuck my life." Kai said, before freezing suddenly. How the hell did Nine know what he was thinking both times just now? It was almost like she was able to read his-

"Thoughts." Nine said while grinning widely. It was at that moment that Kai realized the color of her eyes. They were glowing purple, a clear contrast of her usually gray eyes at the start of their conversation.

"You're a psychic. You're only able to read my mind because my aura powers are currently immobilized." Kai cursed, realizing how bad this was.

"Impressive. Not only are you handsome but impressive also." Nine said as she walked around the chair, dragging her finger across Kai's cheek seductively. Kai attempted to pull away but was unable to due to being tied up.

"Well, you're correct young man. I am a psychic. That's what I was talking to you about when we tried to steal the second piece of the necklace. Too bad you had to find out like this." Nine said while shrugging her shoulders.

Kai clenched his jaw, knowing that this was really bad. She would extract any information she wanted to from his mind if he didn't resist. Kai knew that he was able to resist psychic attacks partially due to Lucario's training, but it would be extremely difficult without his aura. At that moment, Kai stopped thinking, knowing it would only harm him. Kai simply analyzed the room. He didn't analyze the room for long, since Nine proved that she could just keep on speaking without getting tired of herself.

"Oh, don't worry, Kai. They're not going to use me to get all that good information out of you. Not yet anyways. Your mind is still strong. You're going to be broken first, physically. Once you're broken physically, you will soon break mentally. Only then will my services be needed. And by then, it will be a piece of cake to get anything I want from your mind." Nine told Kai telepathically, her lips unmoving while she smiled evilly at the aura user. Kai glared at her, before asking her a question. While he should have known she wouldn't tell him, his curiosity got the best of him. Nine had turned her back on him, walking to the door and grabbing the handle before stopping at the sound of his voice.

"Where the hell am I?"

Nine rolled her eyes up in thought, knowing that Kai couldn't see her face due to only being able to see her back. The violet haired woman thought about what her response would be for a moment. She could tell him that they were at their main headquarters for Chaos, considering he would never get out and would die there. But where's the fun in that? Nine grinned, knowing her answer to the question.

"Hell."
