The Phantomrangers stepped into the entrance of the home seeing ways to the living room, a den, and a staircase. The five youths looked around, noticing how although everything looked clean it also appeared as though no one was living in the house as well. Jason stepped in front of the group then said,"Okay this is definitely weird."
"Why do you say that?",Casey questioned.
"This is a house that has a lot of nice stuff in it and is incredibly pristine yet we don't see even a photo indicating anyone lives here. It's suspicious, don't you think?",Jason explained. He heard no reply and turned around to see that the others weren't there and he looked around while saying,"Guys? Guys?!"
Axis and Kizu in the den area looking around. Kizu walked over to a fireplace and he raised an eyebrow before turning around and noticing everyone else was gone.
"Axey-chan, hokanohito wa doko ni ikimashita ka?",Kizu asked with a concerned tone. (Translation: Axey-chan, where did the others go?)
Axis turned around and his eye widened while he said,"I don't know, they were at the entrance just a second ago."
Axis and Kizu then heard a creaking sound, causing both to look towards a different room. They heard the creaking again, this time it was coming closer to them. Kizu clung to Axis' arm and said,"Axey-chan, kowai." (Translation: Axey-chan, I'm scared.)
"I'm here Kizu.",Axis said while moving Kizu behind him.
Paul B and Casey were in the living room section of the house. Casey looked back at the entrance then said,"What the? Where'd the guys go?!"
Paul B turned to Casey, then to the entrance and he said,"Eh?! They were just behind us!"
"I know that. How the heck were they just there and are now not here?"Casey said. The two then heard some clanking coming from the kitchen and they readied themselves while facing the kitchen. Paul B and Casey looked at one another then they looked towards the kitchen.
Back with Jason, he had gone up the stairs and was looking around cautiously. He stepped lightly making sure to turn around whenever he could. Jason then said in an apprehensive tone,"It's okay Jason. You're trained to fight and you're a superhero. You can take whatever is in this house."
Jason then jumped when a door fell off the hinges in front of him, getting into a fighting stance instinctively. Out of the doorway, stepped a toned pale skinned man that was shirtless and wore a pair of tattered blue jeans which were only tattered under his knees, and a pair of black sandals. This man also had a mask that covered his entire head that looked to like a rhino beetle on the top with a horn and eyes included, a gorilla in the middle with a nose and a closed mouth portion that had gritted teeth, and a shark on the bottom with gills and two fins where the back of the jaw was.
This masked man turned to Jason and Jason, who now had a fearful look on his face, stared at the masked man then screamed in fear while falling on his butt. The masked man stared at Jason then he knelt down and sniffed Jason before saying in an energetic yet raspy voice,"You're human?"
"Yeah, I'm human. Why would I not be?"Jason said. The masked man began yelling in anger then he punched the wall, putting a hole through it. Jason's eyes widened at the show of force.
"WHERE'S THIS STUPID MONSTER?!",The masked man angrily exclaimed while yanking his fist out of the wall. Jason gulped then he noticed that on the masked man's left wrist was a Spirit Changer except it looked different from his and the others. The masked man's Spirit Changer was longer than the Phantomrangers', had a silver lever on the left side of it, and was colored navy blue on the top, orange in the middle, and cyan on the bottom.
"You're after a monster?"Jason questioned. The masked man looked at Jason and nodded. Jason cleared his throat,"Well I am looking for a Specter and my friends. Maybe we can help each other?"
"Specter? What's that?",The masked man questioned. Jason raised an eyebrow then said,"You don't know what a Specter is? You have a Spirit Changer though."
"Spirit Changer?"The masked man tilted his head to the side. Jason pointed to the masked man's left wrist and the masked man looked at it before saying,"Are you stupid? This is my Beast Cycler."
"Beast Cycler, that's a Spirit Changer. It looks like mine, well except yours is longer.",Jason said while revealing his Spirit Changer to the masked man. The masked man moved forward and grabbed Jason's arm, examining the Spirit Changer, then he looked at Jason then said,"You fight the monsters?"
"If by monsters you mean Specters, then yes I do. I fight with my friends as the Spirit Sentai Phantomranger.",Jason explained.
"Hmm, interesting.",the masked man said while scratching his left pectoral. He then quickly jumped up then he said,"Alright! You and me are going to take down the monster!"
"Uh sure dude. You got a name I can call you?"Jason asked while standing up, revealing the masked man to be an inch or so taller than him.
"Daggon. Who are you?"The masked man, now known as Daggon, said.
"My name is Jason Knight but some call me Jk."Jason said, still very uncertain about Daggon.
"Okay, Jk. Let's go!",Daggon said before charging at a nearby door and breaking it down. Jason followed Daggon saying to himself,"Oh Lord help me."
Back with Kizu and Axis, the creaking they heard began to get closer and Kizu held onto Axis while beginning to quiver in fear. Axis put Kizu behind him and he readied his Phantom medal as the creaking got closer. It was then that Axis and Kizu suddenly appeared in a different room. The two looked around, then Axis said,"How did we switch rooms?"
Kizu looked around, still holding onto Axis' arm then he noticed that they were in a child's bedroom. Axis also noticed then said,"So we're now in a kid's bedroom? What the heck is with this house?"
The two then heard a cat meow and looked to the bed to see an orange striped cat sitting on it looking at them. Kizu and Axis gained confused expressions then Kizu said,"Neko?"
"How did that cat get in here?",Axis questioned. The cat liked its paw then it jumped down from the bed and went to an open door, looking back at the duo and meowing.
"I think it wants us to follow it.",Axis said with suspicion. Kizu grabbed Axis' hand then he said,"Iku."
Axis and Kizu began following the cat, with both of them enjoying holding hands with each other. Axis also enjoyed how Kizu held onto him for safety.
Meanwhile, Casey and Paul B had changed into BluePhantom and RedPhantom and were fighting a Specter. This Specter was humanoid and looked to be made out of random house appliances for the most part but its head was a metallic human head with a jagged mouth and three glowing green eyes.
RedPhantom ducked a punch from the Specter then he kicked it in the chest before being hit in the side by the Specter twice. BluePhantom punched the Specter then kicked it three times. The Specter growled then pulled a pot off of its body and hit BluePhantom with it, sending her into the couch. RedPhantom dodged the pot then he disarmed the Specter while summoning his Agnibowblade, slashing the Specter three times.
RedPhantom then helped BluePhantom onto her feet then both turned to the Specter as it was recovering. The Specter made clanking sounds as it recovered then it spoke in a mechanical raspy tone,"Get… out. My… house… only… open… for… food."
"It can talk?!",BluePhantom said while summoning her Elizitrigun.
"Okay this one is way different from the others.",RedPhantom said. The Specter then charged at RedPhantom and BluePhantom, having two large kitchen knives replace its hands. RedPhantom blocked several slashes from the Specter then he slashed across the chest. BluePhantom shot at the Specter three times but it ran through the shots and slashed at her wildly. RedPhantom blocked a slash from the Specter then he kicked it away while saying,"Get away from her."
BluePhantom looked at RedPhantom who turned to her and asked if she was okay. BluePhantom nodded, then she said,"Watch out!"
RedPhantom was slashed in his back three times, causing him to stumble forward. BluePhantom caught her teammate then both were slashed by the Specter. RedPhantom and BluePhantom tumbled into the kitchen then they stood up and readied their weapons as the Specter changed its hands into hatchets.
Back with Jason, he was walking down a long hallway with Daggon, being confused by Daggon's actions. Daggon sniffed the air then he ran to the door and kicked it down, looking around the room then yelling angrily. Jason blinked in surprise then he asked,"Is there a reason for you busting down almost every door we've come across?"
Daggon walked up to Jason then said,"I smell the monster and once I find it, I'll fight and kill it."
"Well at least you're wanting to protect people from Specters.",Jason rationalized.
"Protect people? I'm killing this thing because it deserves to die for keeping me in here for three days!",Daggon said. Jason nodded, then he said,"Why are you yelling so much dude?"
Daggon thought about an answer then he said,"I don't know, just feels right." with confidence. Jason gave Daggon a half nod then he and Daggon began walking once more. After around five minutes, Daggon sniffed the air again and he stopped Jason in his tracks, causing Jason to ask,"What now?"
"I smell something. Like two people are close by.",Daggon said. He then looked at a wall in front of them and pointed at it,"They're behind that wall."
"Okay, those could be some of my friends. We should find a way to get to them, maybe a door somewhere or a vent.",Jason said while looking around. He then jumped up when Daggon began yelling and beating on his chest like a gorilla. Daggon then bolted towards the wall while shouting,"GORILLA IMPACT, CHARGE VERSION!"
Daggon then charged through the entire wall and came out the other side into a hallway. Jason followed Daggon, and he coughed from the drywall dust then he looked to the right to see Axis and Kizu standing there, Kizu clinging to Axis. Jason smiled,"Guys, oh I'm so glad to see you."
"Jason, what or who the heck is that?",Axis asked while motioning to Daggon. Jason looked at Daggon then at Axis while saying,"Oh this is Daggon."
Daggon stood up straight and looked at Axis and Kizu before he stomped on the ground,"DAMNIT, WHERE IS THIS MONSTER?!"
Kizu gained a confused expression and then said,"Kono otoko wa henda." (Translation:This man is weird.)
"Yeah, I can't even argue that.",Axis said, being completely dumbfounded by Daggon.
"Don't mind him, he screams a lot and I don't think he has a full deck if you catch my drift."Jason said. Daggon faced Jason,"Oi, I have a dick. It's probably bigger than yours, Grayson!"
"For the fifth time, my name is Jason."Jason said, slightly annoyed by Daggon getting his name wrong. Daggon grunted, then he noticed Axis and Kizu,"Who are they?"
"They're my friends, Axis and Kizu."Jason said to Daggon who nodded in response. Daggon then looked around before putting the side of his head to ground and moving on all fours. Jason sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose while Axis and Kizu walked up to him. The trio watched Daggon then Axis asked,"Jason, what is with this guy?"
"From what I can tell, he's a bit off his rocker and is very energetic. He also has been in this place for three days.",Jason explained.
"Three days? Why didn't he follow Neko-chan? I mean the cat.",Kizu asked.
"Cat, what cat? I haven't seen a cat the entire time we've been in here."Jason said. Kizu was going to point to the cat he and Axis were following but he couldn't find it and he scratched his head in confusion. Axis looked around then said with bewilderment,"It was just in front of us."
"FOUND IT!"Axis, Kizu and Jason heard Daggon shout as he stopped moving. Daggon had stopped in front of a wall and he effortlessly put his fingers into it before pulling it out. Axis and Kizu gained surprised expressions at the feat of strength while Jason ran over to Daggon and looked into the newly formed hole to see a glowing green crystal that sounded like a heartbeat.
"Why is there a crystal in the wall?"Jason asked.
"I don't know but the monster must be wanting this.",Daggon said. Axis and Kizu came up to Daggon and Jason then Kizu said,"Naze hātobīto ga kikoeru nodesu ka?"
Daggon looked at Kizu then Axis said,"He said why does he hear a heartbeat?"
Daggon shrugged then he picked up the crystal and began crushing it, causing it to crack. It was then that the house began to shake violently as well as shriek violently.
Suddenly, The Phantomrangers and Daggon appeared on the sidewalk in front of the house while the Specter that was in the house stood at the door and fused into the house. The house itself then formed into a giant Specter that roared angrily. RedPhantom and the others stood up and he said,"The house was a Specter?!"
"Then what were we fighting?"BluePhantom questioned while looking at the appliance Specter.
"IT'S A GIANT! HA HA HA HA HA, THIS IS AWESOME!"Daggon shouted excitedly, catching RedPhantom and BluePhantom's attention. Jason walked up to his comrades then said,"I'll explain who he is later. Let's deal with the giant monster now."
Jason, Axis, and Kizu then changed into GreenPhantom, YellowPhantom, and PinkPhantom then all five Phantomrangers readied themselves. Daggon looked at the Phantomrangers and tilted his head in confusion.
"Agni Phantomrise!",RedPhantom said
"Elizi Phantomrise!",BluePhantom said.
"Njord Phantomrise!",GreenPhantom said.
"Shogo Phantomrise!",YellowPhantom said.
"Circe Phantomrise!",PinkPhantom said.
"AGNI, ELIZI, NJORD, SHOGO, CIRCE PHANTOMBEAST READY!"
(Author's note: Okay just to save time, and because the descriptions of these are very simple. Each Phantombeast is essentially just a giant mechanical version of the animal that appeared when they transformed. Red has a dragon, blue has a mermaid, green has a hawk, yellow has a basilisk, and pink has a rabbit.)
Daggon laughed with excitement as he saw the Phantombeast chase the House Specter. He then ran after them, laughing excitedly as he did so.
In the city, the House Specter roared as it stomped around then it was hit by the Elizi and Njord Phantombeast. It stumbled then he managed to hit both Phantombeast away before being kicked by the Circe Phantombeast. The Shogo Phantombeast wrapped itself around the House Specter to try and trap it but was tossed off.
The five Phantombeast regrouped then GreenPhantom said,"Okay while these things are cool. We're getting nowhere in defeating this thing."
"If you have any suggestions on how to do that, we'll gladly take them Jason. If not, then shut up and quit complaining!",BluePhantom authoritatively said. RedPhantom tsked then he thought about what Ben had told them earlier and he said,"Guys let's combine."
"I thought Ben said that it was never done before and is kinda risky?",YellowPhantom questioned.
"He did but I know we can do it. We're the Phantomrangers after all and we're friends. With those things we can do it. Now repeat after me, Spirit Gattai.",RedPhantom said passionately. The other Phantomrangers hesitated then they said,"Spirit Gattai."
This caused all five of the Phantombeast to glow brightly before they began to combine. The Elizi Phantombeast had its arms collapse into its body, its torso extended, and the tail turned sideways and folded up towards the right, revealing a black hand underneath. This formed a right arm and hand.
The Njord Phantombeast had its legs fold into its body, its torso extended and the tail feathers detached, its wings collapsed and stayed at the sides, and the head split at the jawline then slid backwards revealing a black hand. This formed a left arm and hand.
The Shogo Phantombeast straightened out its body head bent upwards along with the body while the tail and part of the back half folded downwards towards the left then the tail folded downwards. This formed a right leg and waist.
The Circe Phantombeast had its front legs folded onto the belly while front of the head and back of the head separated with the front going onto the chest and the back going onto back along with the ears. The Circe Phantombeast also had it's hind legs combine the straighten out with the feet remaining position that was like a single foot. This formed a left leg.
The Agni Phantombeast had its serpentine body collapse into it's torso while it's arms folded into the torso as well. The head of this Phantombeast then bent down wards while the neck remained the same but straightened slightly. The mouth of the Agni Phantombeast then opened and revealed a gray face that had a silver mouthplate and green eyes.
The five parts combined together, forming a giant robot that readied itself for battle. The Phantomrangers then appeared in a shared cockpit house in the head of the robot as the Spirit Changers announced,"GO FORTH PHANTOMKAISER!"
The Phantomrangers looked around in wonder then they readied themselves. The House Specter roared, charging at PhantomKaiser.
On the ground, Daggon watched as PhantomKaiser fought the House Specter. Being excited as if he was a child.
PhantomKaiser punched the Specter twice then it was hit four times then kicked in the side. PhantomKaiser punched the Specter three times then kicked the Specter in the gut. The Specter roared before charging its hands into hatchets and began slashing at PhantomKaiser. PhantomKaiser narrowly dodged two swings from the Specter then it punched the Specter in the chin. The Specter stumbled back then it was kicked in the chest by PhantomKaiser.
"Yeah! We're kicking this things butt!"GreenPhantom said with excitement.
"Don't get cocky, Jason.",BluePhantom said authoritatively.
"How do we defeat this Specter?",PinkPhantom asked.
PhantomKaiser was now blocked several slashes from the Specter. The Phantomrangers did their best to keep PhantomKiaser upright then RedPhantom noticed a button on his console and he pressed it. This caused PhantomKaiser to push the Specter back before summoning a sword that had a hilt that was colored red, blue, green, yellow, and pink and a silver blade. PhantomKaiser slashed the Specter three times then it had multicolored energy gather on the blade before RedPhantom said,"PhantomKaiser, Spirit Slash!"
PhantomKaiser slashed the Specter down the middle then it roared in pain before exploding. PhantomKaiser then relaxed itself while the Phantomrangers celebrated in the cockpit.
On the ground, the Phantomrangers were now back in their civilian forms as the sun began to set and they all walked together. Paul B let out a sigh of relief then he said,"Welp, another successful day of being Phantomrangers."
"I wouldn't say successful but it is another day.",Casey remarked while smirking.
"Can't believe the Specter was the house though. Guess we have to look out for more than just human like Specters.",Axis said. Kizu nodded and then said,"Well like Paul-san said, as long as we're a team we can defeat them."
"I second that."Jason said with a cocky smile.
The Phantomrangers continued walking then Kizu gained a look of realization and he said,"Choto matte, what about that man with the weird mask?"
"Oh yeah, who was that guy?",Casey asked.
"That was Daggon, I met him while trying to look for you guys and…",Jason began thinking to himself. He then gained an annoyed expression,"Ah damnit I forgot to talk to him afterwards."
"Why do you sound annoyed by that fact?",Axis questioned.
"Because along with being a weirdo, he had a Spirit Changer on his wrist.",Jason said. The quartet stopped walking then Paul B, Casey, Axis and Kizu got in front of Jason and said in unison,"HE HAS WHAT?!"
