Chapter 3! Before you read the chapter, I just wanted to reiterate something. This story is an AU. Meaning that while most details and facts remain consistent with the games and anime, there will be changes that I will make freely. An example of this is that Ash has never had a moment or kissed May or Dawn in the anime (Obviously). However, this is untrue in my story since it is a Pokemon AU. Anyways, REVIEW and hope you enjoy!
One last thing: Before I start, I want to make one thing clear. It is uncommon for me to point a guest out for their comments, but I am doing so due to the rare circumstance that this is. There is a guest on my reviews who has asked for Misty to be paired with Ash. This guest is actually the user named "wsdfv". I'm telling you right now that I would prefer for you to stop reading my story. I'm well aware of you spamming reviews on other people's stories such as LegionZ. You write tens of reviews that harass the author to include Misty in the story. Misty WILL NOT be paired with Ash. This is probably gonna make you butthurt and maybe make you cry, but sorry not sorry. Also, I'm well aware of you completely plagiarizing stories. In other words, you copy and paste the story and post it on your account. If you do this, I will simply just report your account and have your account deleted. You're honestly pathetic for how immature you are. I suggest you attempt to become a better person, since it's clear you're just a sad human being. This will be the only and final time I address "wsdfv". Thanks.
VOTE ON POLL ON MY PROFILE. BTW, it's obvious that some people are just writing a couple of reviews for one person in a minute, changing their guest names so it looks like they're different people. You guys aren't slick lmao.
It had been a couple of days since Ash had defeated Alain in the Kalos League Final. They had partied quite a bit, but nothing extreme. Delia and Professor Oak had left a day after Ash's victory to return to Pallet Town. Meanwhile, Ash and Serena had left Kalos a few days after.
Clemont and Bonnie promised to meet up with them in Pallet Down. Clemont had decided that he and Bonnie should spend some time with their father, before leaving the region after being away from home for so long.
Ash and Serena were currently walking on a dirt path, a few minutes away from Pallet Town. Pikachu was being carried by Serena, content with laying on her arms as she carried the yellow rodent.
"I'm sure you're going to like all of them, Serena. Trust me, they're a great group. Except Gary. You'll probably hate him." Ash said, chuckling, knowing that Gary Oak was able to get on other people's nerves quite easily.
Serena smiled at this, excited to meet Ash's friends. She never met any of Ash's previous traveling companions.
"I think your right. I definitely want to speak with Brock. He definitely has a bunch of embarrassing stories of you, since you traveled with him for so long." Serena responded, gigging for a few seconds.
"Ok, maybe you shouldn't meet them.
"Relax, Ash. I'm sure they only have hundreds of stories to tell."
Ash rubbed his eyes with his hand, terrified of any embarrassing stories of him being spread around.
"I am actually looking forward to speaking with May and Dawn. You said they were both Pokemon Coordinators? That's pretty similar to a Performer."
Ash nodded while the two walked towards the town, which was now in their view. Pallet Town was extremely small, with only about twenty houses and some basic buildings such as a hospital and restaurants. They could already see the entire town from the hill they were walking down from, Ash's house and Professor Oak's lab in sight.
"Yeah, I bet you girls will get along well with each other because of your similarities. They both have tempers though, so be careful." Ash joked. Well, partially at least. When those girls were pissed off, they were PISSED OFF.
"So…" Serena started off awkwardly before pausing. "Did anything ever happen with you and the two of them?"
Ash choked on nothing, coughing for a moment before composing himself once again. Serena continued to look towards her left, straight at the boy. The trainer continued to look straight, refusing to make eye contact with the blonde-haired girl.
"W-what? No, nothing h-happend between us. Sure, Dawn and May are both really pretty, but I never dated either one." Ash choked out, now having the courage to look at the girl who was staring at him.
Serena's blue eyes pierced through him; a questioning look on her face as the two walked together.
"Ok, but have you ever had a moment with them? Maybe… K-kissed them?" Serena asked, now being the one who was stuttering.
Ash shrugged his shoulders before responding. "I mean, obviously. I've traveled with a decent number of girls so I guess it was only natural."
Serena's eyes widened, unbelieving of this. There was no shot.
"Elaborate."
"Ok, obviously I've kissed a few girls throughout my journeys. Answering your question, I've kissed both of them."
Serena's mouth now opened, her jaw becoming unhinged as she looked at Ash with disbelief and shock. How was this possible? She had a crush on the trainer for a whole year throughout their Kalos adventure. However, they never even shared a kiss. Now, he was telling her that he had kissed several girls throughout his journeys. Also, while he was even younger?!
"H-how many times did you kiss May and Dawn?"
"Serena, what is this? Twenty-One Questions? I only kissed Dawn once and it was nothing. There were no feelings involved. I've kissed May twice." Ash responded, the two of them were about twenty feet from Ash's house.
Serena's heart dropped at hearing this, feeling completely and utterly destroyed. She had no shot with Ash. Ash had shown no signs of liking the Performer. It was even worse, now, since she had just found out that Ash wasn't even as dense as he claimed to be. Hell, he had kissed SEVERAL girls!
Sure, Serena wasn't the girl that had never even kissed somebody. She was eighteen years old. However, she had only kissed a childhood friend named Calem. She spent all this time thinking Ash was just a dense teenager, who didn't recognize his feelings for others. The truth hurt her severely.
"Did you have feelings for May-" Serena's question was interrupted as a dark-skinned man exited from Ash's house. Serena and Ash stopped, standing at the bottom of the porch, having reached the house. The man was tall, standing about two inches taller than Ash. He had brown spiky hair and wore brown jeans and a green collared shirt with a brown vest around him. The dark-skinned man smiled at the pair, walking down the porch stairs towards them and standing a few feet away from them.
"Long time no see Ash."
"God I've missed your cooking, Brock."
The two embraced in a brotherly hugging, patting each other's backs. After a moment, the two separated, beaming at each other. Pikachu jumped onto the top of Brock's head, the two greeting each other after such a long time. Serena now understood who the older man was now, due to their reunion.
"Brock, this is Serena, a traveling partner of mine in Kalos." Ash said, introducing the two. Brock shook hands with the woman, bowing his head slightly respectfully.
"Nice to meet you, Serena! I've heard a lot of great things about you."
Serna smiled at this, before responding. "Nice to meet you too! Trust me when I say I've probably heard even more about you. Ash describes your cooking as legendary. I have to see for myself."
"I'm alright for just being a Pokemon Doctor. Ash was just being kind."
Ash shook his head, waving his hands to stop Brock from speaking. "Don't listen to him, Serena. His chicken noodle soup is to die for." Ash stated, leaning his head back with his mouth open, definitely daydreaming about the dish. Brock and Serna shook their heads, laughing at the trainer's actions.
"Oh, that reminds me! Brock, please tell me every single embarrassing story that you have about Ash." Serena said mischievously, with Brock lifted his eyebrows in amusement.
Ash's eyes widened at this, not wanting to be here to recall those memories. "Annddd I'm going inside now. Have fun you two!"
Ash rushed onto the porch and opened the door, leaving the Pokemon Doctor and Performer outside to talk and get to know each other.
The trainer walked inside the house and entered the living room. While he didn't see his mom or Mr. Mime, Ash immediately saw a blue haired Coordinator. She sat on the couch, turning her head when she heard footsteps approaching. Dawn beamed once she saw who entered.
"Ash!" Dawn screamed, making Ash wince as she jumped over the couch and hugged the trainer. The two hugged for a few seconds, with Pikachu jumping onto Dawn and licking her face. Dawn laughed, before the two let go of each other and stood opposite.
"You look good Dawn. You've also done so well in your contests." Ash complimented the Pokemon Coordinator.
After the two had separated and now stood in front of each other, Ash realized just how stunning the girl was. She wore the same outfit she usually had, with her blue hair being let the two of them never held any feelings for each other, it couldn't go without saying that Dawn was a beautiful girl. Her body matured quite a bit. The blue haired girl had a developed and curved figure. She still had those ocean blue eyes to compliment her pretty facial features. These past years had definitely treated her well.
"Aww, thanks Ash! You look great too. Have you been working out?" Dawn winked, making the teenager scratch the back of his head sheepishly.
Ash wore a black shirt that hugged his body, with a blue vest covering it. While the clothes covered his muscles, it was clear that the trainer had gotten bigger and stronger. Over the years, Ash had grown taller and stronger. Ash now stood at about six feet tall, and now had definition muscles along with a hidden six pack. While Ash's muscles had become more defined, he wasn't built anywhere close to a body builder. His build was mostly just due to puberty and working out occasionally.
"I'm so happy that you won the Kalos League!"
"Thanks, Dawn. It means a lot. Did you watch it?"
Dawn pulled off a fake glare at Ash, slapping him lightly on the chest. "Of course, I did, dummy! I was cheering you on in my cheerleading outfit."
Ash laughed, knowing how often the girl had worn that outfit for his battles.
"Sorry, sorry. I've been keeping up with your contests. You should be proud of yourself this year. Top Four in the Grand Festival is extremely impressive. You didn't start off being a Pokemon Coordinator too long ago."
Dawn smiled at his words, hugging him for a second appreciatively before letting him go. The loss she suffered hurt her confidence greatly. She fell in the top four in Johto, a sliver away from making it to the Finals.
"Thanks, Ash. You really know how to make somebody feel better."
"I just say the truth. I know that you'll do even better in the next Grand Festival, Dawn. Anyways, my friend Serena is outside if you want to meet her." Ash said, pointing towards the porch where Serena and Brock were still speaking.
Dawn was about to respond before she was interrupted by a cocky voice, that sounded all too familiar to Ash.
"Well, I definitely do, Ashy boy! She's that blonde chick, right? Please tell me she's single." Gary said as he approached Ash. Ash sighed, a smile stretching across his face at Gary's words. Ash knew that Gary was only joking around, his behavior becoming much better since they first started their journeys. Now, the son of Professor Oak was only slightly cocky and irritating.
"You wish, Gary. Besides, I don't think you'd stand a chance with her." Ash responded, the two of them clasping hands together in a handshake and then hugging for a second. Dawn scoffed at Gary's words, not used to his behavior since the two barely knew each other.
"Harsh! Anyways, I watched the Finals from Gramps Research Lab. I need to see that Greninja of yours. What the hell was that?!"
Ash shrugged nonchalantly, with Gary speaking about Ash's Greninja with amazement.
"I'm honestly not too sure. Professor Sycamore, the head Professor in Kalos, told me that it's because of our unique bond together that allows his appearance and power to change and amplify."
Gary appeared confused at Ash's words, asking another question while Dawn sat back down on the couch, letting the two of them talk to each other. "Wait, so it's just mega evolution? I've learned all about that this past year, doing studies in Hoenn."
Ash shook his head before responding. "No, no, it's not mega evolution. Greninja and I don't require a mega bracelet or keystone to undergo the transformation. It's just natural when we decide."
"Interesting…" Gary said, appearing in thought at the revelation.
"Professor Sycamore called it the Bond Phenomenon. It's like our bodies are one. I can see what Greninja is seeing and also communicate with him without having to speak out loud. The only con of doing it is that I feel exactly what Greninja is feeling. I feel the emotions and pain that Greninja experiences." Ash explained to the former Kanto trainer. Gary nodded his head continuously in understanding.
"Is it ok if Gramps and I have a look at him in his form?" Gary asked hopefully. Ash agreed, but with his own twist.
"How about we battle for old times' sake. My Greninja versus whoever you want. After I whoop your ass again, then you can do all the research you want on him."
Gary tilted his head in excitement, smirking confidently at the proposal. The two began walking out of the house, with Dawn following them to watch the battle.
"Wait, before we go to the ranch to battle, where the hell is my mom?" Ash asked curiously.
"She went with Mr. Mime to get some groceries and supplies for the party tonight. I'm so excited!" Dawn answered happily, gripping Ash's arm, unable to contain her excitement. Ash shook his head amused, the trio walking outside to head to Professor Oak's Ranch.
While the group walked towards the ranch, Serena and Brock had regroup with them. Serena was able to meet with Gary and Dawn, chatting with them as they continued. Eventually, they reached the ranch. They walked over to a small battling area, separate from where the Pokemon were being held. Ash had told the group that he planned on seeing the rest of his Pokemon after the battle.
Gary and Ash stood opposite of each other, prepared to battle. Serena and Dawn watched from the side, sitting on the green grass. Brock stood on an opposite side, officiating the battle. The group were still expecting several friends such as May, Max, Misty, and more, but knew that they would most likely be arriving later today. Besides, it was still early, being around 12 P.M. The party didn't start until 9 P.M.
It was Gary who sent out his Pokemon first. The former trainer threw his pokeball, a white light emerging. When the light disappeared, Blastoise appeared ready to battle. The Kanto starter Pokemon grunted loudly, stomping its foot into the ground powerfully.
Ash smirked, seeing who Greninja was fighting. The Kalos League winner wouldn't want to fight anybody but Gary's strongest Pokemon. Unfortunately for Gary, he was facing one of Ash's strongest Pokemon, if not the strongest. Ash tossed his pokeball, Greninja standing straight and crossing his arms while facing the tall Blastoise.
"Let the battle begin!" Brock yelled, starting the battle as the referee.
That's a wrap for Chapter 3! Sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger. Sorry not sorry. Anyways, don't forget to REVIEW and VOTE ON THE POLL. Hope you all enjoyed it.
