At Ben's home, Kou was speaking with Kizu and Casey with all three getting along. Daggon watched the three until Jason and Axis came up to him with Jason saying,"Dag, what are you doing?"
"Making sure Kou is safe.",Daggon bluntly said.
"Dude, she's with Kizu and Casey; she'll be fine.",Axis said.
"You protect your mate your way, I protect mine my way.",Daggon said while trying to get taller than Axis.
Axis rolled his eye then he realized what Daggon said and responded with,"Wait a minute, you are calling Kou your mate? Didn't you just meet her the other day?"
"Yes, she is my mate and I am her mate.",Daggon said with a confident smile.
"A bit quick don't you think?",Jason said.
"No, when you find your mate you need to be with them when you meet. That is how all the jungle animals do it and I live like them.",Daggon explained, crossing his arms and smirking confidently.
Axis began thinking about what Daggon said while looking at Kizu. Kizu noticed this and he smiled while waving at Axis, who waved back before walking outside. Daggon and Jason looked back to where Axis went with Daggon saying,"Brave Sun, why doesn't one eye admit that he and peach hair are mates?"
"I've known em for years and I still wonder the same thing bud.",Jason said while shrugging.
Meanwhile, Paul B and Ben were talking to one another near the front door. Paul B saw Ben's worried expression then asked,"This is the first time I've seen you like this."
"I try to keep my composure but hearing that Xykor is possibly alive has got me rather worried for all of your safety.",Ben said.
"I get why you would but we've been dealing with Specters just fine. This Xykor guy won't be any different.",Paul B said confidently.
"Paul, I honestly wish you were right, but Xykor is the king of the Specters for a reason. It is said that he makes the Daemons seem like Husks in comparison.",Ben explained in a serious tone.
Paul B's eyes widened and he sighed,"Well in that case, what do you think we should do?"
"I think you all need to find out if Xykor is in fact alive. While I figure out a way to make you stronger."
Paul B nodded then he and Ben heard a slight rattling in the other room. They went into the other room to see Jason holding back Daggon from eating a candle. Paul B and Ben sighed with exasperation while facepalming. They were surprised when Kou went over to Daggon and took the candle away while kissing him.
Daggon kissed Kou back, relaxing immediately and putting his hands on her waist. Kou pulled away then shook her head while pointing to the candle. Daggon grumbled but nodded in agreement while grimacing.
Casey and Kizu raised their eyebrows while Casey said,"Did she just stop Daggon with no effort?"
"Holy crap.",Jason said in awe.
Axis came back into the house urgently saying,"Guys, a Specter has started attacking."
Ben nodded then he snapped his fingers causing Paul B, Casey, Jason, Axis and Kizu to disappear. Kou's eyes widened, then she asked,"Dō yatte sore o shita nodesu ka, bensan?" (Translation: How did you do that, Mr Ben?)
"I am very attuned with my spirit and it allows me to do many miraculous things.",Ben said with a confident smirk.
Daggon chuckled excitedly,"I like you, elder."
"My name is Ben, Daggon.",Ben corrected.
The Phantomrangers appeared on a wrecked street and they ran in the opposite direction of the civilians until they came up to Ginza, Xiya, and Corvus who were sitting on the roof of a nearby car. Xiya looked up at the Phantomrangers then she smirked while saying,"Oh look, they showed up."
"You're the Daemons.",Paul B said, scowling at the three.
"Yes we are. Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. I am Corvus, the woman is Xiya.",Corvus said while tipping his hat and leaning on his cane.
"And I am Ginza, loyal right hand of Lord Xykor.",Ginza said while stepping up and crossing his arms.
"Well you have a voice that could make a baby cry.",Jason joked.
"Where is the last of your team, PhantomChimera?"Ginza asked.
"Why do you want to know?",Casey asked, being ready to transform.
"He's the one who took our former colleague and I'd personally like to find them both so I can put her out of her misery.",Xiya said wickedly.
Paul B scowled at Xiya then he said,"You're not going to hurt Kou or anyone else."
Xiya chuckled, then she stepped forward but Ginza stopped her and said,"If you shall not cooperate, then we will force you to tell us."
Ginza then snapped his fingers and a giant Specter landed in front of him and roared into the air. This Specter was a mixture of the goat and knife Specters with it mainly looking like the goat Specter but having small knives coming out of its body as well as having two knives for horns and knife claws for its fingers.
All of the Phantomrangers gained shocked expressions then they transformed and ran away while summoning their Phantombeast.
Back at Ben's house, Daggon turned to Ben then said,"Oi, elder, why did I not go with them?"
"Because I want to talk with the two of you for a moment. Regarding your relationship as well as Kou's power.",Ben said, sitting at his table and offering a seat to Daggon and Kou. Kou took a seat while Daggon kept standing.
"So, you both only met each other around three or so days ago yet are already together. Isn't that a bit fast?",Ben said, his voice being a tinge smarmy.
"No, when you find your mate you make them yours. Kou is my mate and I am hers.",Daggon confidently said while crossing his arms, making Kou smile warmly.
Ben smirked then he said,"I never thought I'd hear such a good answer from you Daggon."
Kou and Daggon looked at Ben with confusion.
"See, contrary to how I may appear, I've been alive for a long time and in that time, I found a mate as you say and I hesitated in going after her. I eventually did marry her but we didn't get much time together sadly.",Ben explained, his tone being saddened slightly. He then perked up,"You two however have found one another and it is that which shall make you stronger."
Daggon became intrigued while Kou was still confused.
"You'll understand what I mean once you get your powers back, Kou. Which I imagine is in the hands of the Daemons, seeing as how you said they were extracted from you."
Kou nodded and she was about to speak but Ben put up his hand,"You can talk to me in English by the way, I won't judge it if it's broken or you have an accent. Before you ask, I have known Daggon long enough to know he can't understand any other language besides English."
Daggon gritted his teeth in frustration.
"Yes, my powers were made into a stake of some kind that Corvus took. I ran before I could see what he did with it though.",Kou explained, touching her chest while remembering when she had her powers extracted.
Ben briefly thought about it,"Then he most likely keeps it on him."
"Which one is that? I'll kill them and get your powers back!",Daggon yelled with an angered enthusiasm.
Ben, Kou and Daggon then looked out the window to see PhantomKaiser fighting the Specter out in the city and losing. Daggon gained an excited smile while saying,"A giant monster and the big person! Ha ha ha ha ha, Kou you see this?!"
"Oh no, they made a giant.",Kou said with worry.
"Although this isn't the first giant they've faced; this one is considerably stronger from what I am seeing.",Ben said with some worry. He then looked at Daggon as he excitedly chuckled then looked into his pocket. Daggon pulled out the new Phantom medal he got as it was glowing then he said,"The thing is glowing."
Ben's eyes widened and he smirked,"You have a Phantom beast medal, which means you can help them out Daggon."
Daggon looked at Ben with a child-like excitement,"I can turn into a big animal?"
"More like you'll get a Phantom beast and can fight the giant with the others.",Ben explained. Daggon's smile grew then he chuckled with his crazed excitement before taking out his Phantom medal and saying,"Beastialize!" while changing into PhantomChimera.
PhantomChimera then went out the backdoor and he said,"Oi, elder, how do I turn big?"
"Put the medal into your Beast Cycler then… I believe you push your lever down while saying Phantorise.",Ben said while shrugging.
Kou walked up to PhantomChimera and put his other Phantom medal into the Beast Cycler causing it to announce,"CHIMERA MEDAL INSERTED! READY TO RAMPAGE!"
PhantomChimera chuckled, then he exclaimed,"Phantorise!" while pulling down the lever on his Beast Cycler.
PhantomChimera picked Kou up and jumped into the air as an orange rhino beetle robot with blue eyes and wings appeared around him. Along with this was a navy blue gorilla robot that had navy blue fur, dark blue chest, hands, feet, nose and mouth, and cyan eyes. As well as a cyan shark robot that had orange eyes, inner fin, and gills.
"{Tribal rock music} WHOA, WHOA, WHOA~! BEETLE, GORILLA, AND SHARK PHANTOMBEAST ARE ON THE GO~!"
Meanwhile, PhantomKaiser punched the Specter in the chest twice but was slashed three times. The Specter then rammed its head into PhantomKaiser, causing it to stumble back and fall to one knee.
In the cockpit, the Phantomrangers held onto their consoles with GreenPhantom saying,"Okay, anyone got a plan to beat this thing because I'm kind of tired of getting knocked around." in a daze.
"If we had a plan, we'd say it Jason."BluePhantom said with frustration.
"Guys, argue later on.",RedPhantom commanded.
The Specter moved closer to PhantomKaiser but was hit in the side of the head by a blast of energy.
The Phantomrangers all leaned forward with YellowPhantom saying,"Did a blast just plow into the side of the Specter's head?"
The Phantomrangers then heard PhantomChimera's distinctive cackle and BluePhantom said,"Daggon?"
PhantomKaiser turned its head to see the Beetle, Gorilla and Shark Phantombeasts coming towards the Specter.
In the cockpit of the Beetle Phantombeast, PhantomChimera cackled excitedly then he said,"PhantomChimera is here! Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Kou held onto PhantomChimera, being in his lap still, then whispered,"Daggon-san, be careful while I am in here."
PhantomChimera didn't hear Kou and continued piloting his Phantombeast excitedly. Kou sighed then she gained a small smile while saying,"Kin'niku no baka."
The beetle Phantombeast flew around the Specter's head, distracting it long enough for the shark Phantombeast to bite its arm. The Specter roared in pain and was going to slash the shark Phantombeast but it was punched in the chest by the gorilla Phantombeast. The gorilla Phantombeast hit the Specter four times then it moved to the side while the beetle Phantombeast rocketed into its stomach, causing the Specter to go flying backwards and crash into the forest.
PhantomKaiser walked up to the three new Phantombeasts and RedPhantom said,"Daggon, is that you?"
"Oi, Vault Key, I have three giant animals! You only have one, I am better than you! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!",PhantomChimera said before getting hit by Kou.
"Yeah sure. Thanks for helping us with this Specter by the way.",RedPhantom said as he and the other Phantomrangers made PhantomKaiser ready itself.
"Help? This is my kill, you all go away.",PhantomChimera said before he rammed the beetle Phantombeast into PhantomKaiser causing it to stumble backwards. PhantomChimera then looked at the Specter and said,"Now to make my own giant person."
PhantomChimera then pulled and held the lever on his Beast Cycler,"causing it to announce,"BEASTLY GATTAI!"
The beetle Phantombeast flew into the air and changed into a backpack and shoulder pads while the horn separated from the head to reveal an orange, navy blue, and cyan colored helmet.
The gorilla Phantombeast roared before it changed into a torso and arms. Its head went into its body and a small robotic head came out of the body this one being silver with red eyes.
The shark Phantombeast snapped its jaws then it changed into a pair of legs.
These three parts combined together and the robot beat its chest before going into a flexing pose.
"{Triumphant tribal rock music} HE FINALLY ARRIVES! BOW DOWN TO THE KING CHIMERA!",The Beast Cycler sang once the transformation was complete.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha! King Chimera has arrived! Let's rampage!",PhantomChimera excitedly said, grabbing his new controls eagerly. Kou held onto PhantomChimera tightly and said,"Sugei."
The Specter roared then slashed several waves of energy at King Chimera, that missed it and exploded near it. King Chimera ran at the Specter and punched it in the face, making it stumble back. It then punched the Specter three more times before dodged a slash from the Specter. King Chimera sidestepped the Specter when it charged at it then it kicked the Specter in the side, making it stumble to the side. King Chimera readied itself then it charged at the Specter and bodyslammed it into the ground.
PhantomChimera cackled excitedly while saying,"This is the best rampage ever!"
PhantomKaiser came up to King Chimera, wielding its sword and used it to block a slash from the Specter that was about to slash King Chimera. It then pushed the Specter back and slashed it across the chest.
"Daggon, I know you're having fun but focus on the battle.",RedPhantom said from PhantomKaiser.
"Oi, get out of here! This is my kill, MINE!",PhantomChimera yelled.
King Chimera pushed PhantomKaiser aside and charged at the Specter once more. It then drop kicked the Specter, making it tumble backwards. King Chimera then stood up and PhantomChimera said,"Ha ha ha ha, you're mine monster!"
King Chimera then had orange, navy blue and cyan energy surge off its body before it split into its three components while charging at the Specter.
"King beast parade!",PhantomChimera shouted excitedly as the shark Phantombeast bit down on the Specter. The gorilla Phantombeast then slammed both its fists into the Specter before the beetle Phantombeast rocketed through the Specter. The three Phantombeasts then recombined into King Chimera while the Specter fell on its back and exploded.
PhantomChimera let out a celebratory shout before he looked at Kou and said,"Did you see that Kou. I did it, I got the monster! Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Kou smiled warmly them she said,"Kin'niku no baka."
King Chimera beat its chest before it relaxed itself.
On a roof in the city, Ginza, Corvus and Xiya had seen the entire fight and stared at King Chimera. Corvus sighed then said,"And I had actually hoped today would be the end of our Phantomranger problem." with disappointment.
"I was hoping that I could kill Kou and those brightly colored nuisances.",Xiya said with an enraged scowl.
Ginza stayed silent, his eyes never leaving King Chimera until he turned around and opened a portal for himself, Corvus and Xiya.
Minutes later in the forest, The Phantomrangers were now in their civilian forms and walked towards a boulder to see Daggon and Kou making out on top of it. Jason clapped his hands together, causing Kou and Daggon to look his way. Daggon held Kou and jumped off the boulder, placing her down gently before he went over to Jason while smiling happily.
"Brave Sun, I got three big animals and made a big person. I beat the monster, me, I did! Ha ha ha ha!",Daggon excitedly said.
"I saw buddy and I am slightly jealous.",Jason said.
Daggon chuckled, then he was pulled back by Kou, and he calmed down immediately.
"Glad that you have a way to deal with the giants, Daggon, but we're a team.",Paul B said.
"Which means that you can't throw us aside to fight by yourself.",Casey said sternly.
Daggon grumbled then he looked at Kou and groaned before saying,"Okay, but I only do it because Kou wants me to."
"How are you able to remember her name but you get all of ours wrong?",Axis asked while crossing his arms.
"I think I may have figured that out Axe.",Jason said while putting his hand up. He then stepped over to be beside Daggon and began explaining,"I think that Daggon legitimately can't remember any name that has more than one syllable."
"How's that possible?",Casey asked.
"I… don't really know but the evidence checks out.",Jason said with an optimistic smile.
"Stop using so many big words, Brave Sun.",Daggon said with an unamused look. All of the Phantomrangers chuckled then they began making their way out of the forest.
