I just wanna say a thank you to those that read this and those that felt the need to leave a review. I didn't expect this to blow up like it did, surpassing my second most popular story that wasn't a continuation of another in follows. I appreciate it. I'll try to get a chapter out every week, but that's not a guarantee after the next chapter. I'm just posting content I've already written. See ya at the end of the chapter.

I don't own RWBY. RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and was created by Monty Oum. I only own my OCs

The sound of swords clashing could be heard. A little Maroon and his uncle, even if only by name, Qrow were seen fighting. That's what Maroon would've said, at least. Because to him, this was the fight of his life. For Qrow, he might as well have been relaxing after a long day. When compared to Qrow, Maroon was nowhere near as good him. After all, Maroon was only a ten-year old child whilst Qrow was a fully trained huntsman with several years of experience under his belt. Maroon held a tiny longsword. Or, tiny when compared to Qrow, who could easily one-hand it. For Maroon, it was about the proportional size of a longsword. It was metal, but it's edges had been dulled. The same was true with the sword Qrow had held, which for all intents and purposes had been a replica of his actual huntsman weapon.

Maroon deflected a strike aimed for his right leg before quickly thrusting his longsword forward. That was quickly pushed to the side by Qrow, who then spun his body to deliver a kick towards Maroon's side. Maroon barely managed to get his sword up in time to block. Though, it had left Maroon unbalanced, on which Qrow was quick to capitalize upon. Slashing at Maroon, Qrow leapt forward at said ten-year old, aiming to knock him out of the fight. Maroon rolled out of the way of Qrow's dash attack before sending a strike of his own towards his Uncle. It was parried, allowing Qrow to deliver a devastating riposte that made Maroon's Aura shatter.

Maroon found himself on the ground staring up at the sky before Qrow interrupted the sight with a hand extended towards him. Maroon gladly took it.

"WHOA! THAT WAS AWESOME!" A voice cheered from the sidelines.

Maroon recognized it as his younger sister Yang. Again, only in name. Maroon didn't have the same mother nor father as Yang. Not that Maroon treated her any different than a sister. Maroon still loved her.

"You were so awesome Uncle Qrow! You were like 'hiya! Ba-boom! Wha-cha!' I knew you would win!" Yang went on as she drew close to Qrow, making hand motion during a certain part.

"Hey!" Maroon feigned a hurt voice. "Why weren't you rooting for me!? I'm your big brother!"

Soon, he felt something latch onto his side. Sure enough, when he looked down, his two-year old sister Ruby was on his leg and tugging on it. "I was rooting for you, big brother!"

"Awe. Thanks Ruby. I knew someone believed in me." He said whilst roughing her hair slightly.

She giggled in response and lifted her arms up towards Maroon's face. Maroon tilted his head before he recognized what she wanted.

"You want me to hold you?" Upon Ruby's head rapidly flying up and down, Maroon chuckled and knelt down and picked her up.

Maroon noticed his mother, Summer, recording them and immediately his face grew to be a brilliant shade of red. One that rivals the red Ruby was wearing. his mom was laughing at the sight of them. at first she was just recording Qrow and Maroon's sparring session, but then noticed Ruby make her way as fast as she could to Maroon and began to record them.

"Mom!" Maroon yelled out.

Summer laughed even harder and before too long the whole family was laughing at Maroon's embarrassment. Even Ruby was laughing even if she was the one who had wanted held. Maroon was looking down, his face flushed. he felt a hand lay itself on his shoulder. he looked up to see Qrow staring down at him.

"Come on, kid. I'd say you deserve some rest after that." Qrow told him.

And so, Maroon followed Qrow into the house, where Summer took him and brought him to his room. Summer was going to take Ruby off his hands so he could rest without a distraction, but Ruby had different plans as she wanted to nap with his brother. So they both laid down and Summer quickly snapped a photo before leaving.

Maroon's silver eyes fluttered open. He had no idea why that particular memory had found it's way into his brain. God, how Maroon wished things could go back to the way they were. Things were so much simpler back then. When his mother was still alive. Maroon didn't know why she had to go on that mission, but he certainly wished she hadn't. But, there was still one thing to do in her stead.

Protect his family and anyone else he could.

Maroon forced himself up off the bed he'd been laying in. he rubbed his eyes clear of whatever had built up in them whilst he was sleeping. he looked over to his outfit. The black overcoat with a red cloak had been a gift from Qrow. As something to remember him by whilst he traveled the world by himself. It, of course, was inspired by Qrow's own outfit, but with enough distinct details for it to be unique. The feathers on the collar and elbows were also something Maroon very much liked. There was also the plain white bandana Qrow had given him. Maroon took it as homage to his mom.

As Maroon finished tying the bandana around his left leg and therefore dressing, he walked to the door and grabbed his sword. Ember Rose. That was what he'd called it. It was a long sword that could be infused with dust. it could also transform into another weapon, but that was something for another time. Maroon didn't like to spoil surprises and he was sure this counted as one. All he ever told anyone when they inquired was that it wasn't gun. No, Maroon found that having all your weapon's in one was a bad idea as for when you get disarmed, you were all of the sudden at a very large disadvantage. Something that Maroon had proved in various different tournaments he'd partaken in. Due to his semblance, Maroon could retreat to a further distance almost immediately or overwhelm his opponent. This was definitely something Maroon had taken advantage of once his opponent was disarmed. Either by chipping their Aura with bullets or getting in close and overwhelming his enemy.

Either way, when Maroon had slipped Ember Rose over his right shoulder, he was ready.

And he had a job to do.

What Maroon decided to do first was try to gather information during the day. Thankfully, for Maroon at least, there had been a dust robbery whilst he had been sleeping last night. It was obvious what his first move should be. And thus, Maroon made his way to the crime scene. Some people stared at him, most with awe and others with relief. Being looked up to was something Maroon was used to. Being a huntsman meant that you were one of the only sources of comfort in this world. Hell, several times a child had come up to him and asked him for something like a picture, an autograph, or even a look at his sword or a story from his journeys. Maroon was happy to oblige with at least three of those.

Still, these people must be stressed to have Roman running around and causing trouble. Maroon showing up must be some sort of relief. To know that there's a huntsman actively working to put Roman behind bars. Obviously, Maroon hurried his way to the crime scene. Well, more like he walked at a brisk pace. If anyone looked at Maroon's face during this time, they'd see determination on it. And that was what Maroon felt. He would put an end to whatever was happening in Vale.

For the sake of his sisters.

Maroon finally arrived at the Dust shop. It was called A Handful of Dust. The windows were broken and it was obvious that almost every single speck of Dust in it was stolen. Maroon walked up to the officers, who had finally noticed him. It spoke to their competence, to somehow not see someone wearing out of the norm clothing and of whom was fully armed until they were right next to them. One had a very fancy moustache and the other had sunglasses.

"Sorry sir. You cannot be here." One of the officer's told him. "The Council of Vale has restricted any and all information regarding these robberies other than who's been committing them."

Maroon raised an eyebrow. That was interesting to hear. Did they not know that Ozpin had hired him? It was possible, Maroon guessed. It had only been a day since Maroon arrived in Vale and even less when Ozpin told him that he'd have control of almost all law enforcement and huntsmen in the area. Maroon must've guessed that the information about his involvement had yet to spread far.

Maroon cleared his throat to get the police officers' attention back on him. "Actually, I have a contract from Headmaster Ozpin, who is also apart of the Valean council by the way, that states I can have any and all information pertaining to this investigation as well as general control over the law enforcement."

The police officers seemed shocked to hear this. Maroon didn't blame them. After all, it was like punching someone, only to find out that said person was one of the most important people on the planet. Granted, Maroon could hardly be classified as such to Remnant. But, to Ozpin and to everyone involved with this, Maroon was pretty damn important.

"Oh. Sorry for that. Several students have been coming up all morning." The one with sunglasses stated. "We thought you might've been another."

Maroon supposed that was fair

"It's fine. No harm was done."

"If you say so." Sunglasses shrugged. "Personally, I would be pretty angry with someone who confused my age."

"Well, I'm not you." Maroon threw back. "So. What happened?"

"That bastard Torchwick happened. Him and his band of White Fang."

Maroon spun around with enough force to break a bone. That was a surprise. The White Fang working alongside a man like Torchwick? That seemed impossible. Hell, you'd probably be labeled as crazy to even suggest such a thing. There was absolutely no way the White Fang would ever work with a human nowadays, especially a racist like Roman. And yet the madlad had done it. He somehow got the White Fang to work with him. How was the question now. Did he do through bribery? Or maybe he was being forced to work for the Fang? Or was it simply that there was way too much to be gained from working together? So much, that the pros far outweighed the cons in this instance.

"You sure it was Roman of all people?" Maroon felt the need to ask

"Oh yeah." Moustache confirmed. "You eyewitnesses saw what looked to be White Fang troops entering and leaving this store. We also got video evidence from the local CCTV. No idea how he did it, but he got those animals to work with him."

"And you're sure it's White Fang? You're sure it's not just some goons Roman managed to scrounge up and dressed them in White Fang outfits?" That seemed far more believable to Maroon. After all, the White Fang would need lien too and it just so turned out that this store hadn't had a single bit of lien taken from it. "Also, refer to them as animals again and I won't hesitate to knock you unconscious."

"Normally we would say that we aren't sure," Sunglasses chipped in. "but we confirmed it with the CCTV. Each and every single person wearing that uniform had faunus features."

'Damn.' Maroon thought. 'Well, there goes that theory.'

"...Okay, well. Do we have any idea why Roman and the Fang are working together."

Both of the officers explosive sighs. Maroon already knew the answer. "No. None so far. Best guess anyone can come up with is that Torchwick was just so good at his job that the White Fang hired him for it."

"Pros outweigh the cons situation?"

"Yeah."

This complicated things. Ozpin's and the Council's fears weren't unfounded. If the White Fang was working with Roman to build up Dust supplies, then they were almost certainly planning to attack Vale. It was practically a given. No way were they carting all that Dust off outside of Vale. It was just far too large and would draw way too much attention. No, there had to be several warehouses that they were storing Dust in. It was only logical as only having one would again draw too much attention and ensure that if it's location was ever found, then all of that dust would be lost. And it was likely that the fact that they couldn't get it out of Vale, at least fast, was accounted for before this plan was set in motion. It was also well known that, while being the most progressive, Vale still didn't treat it's faunus completely fair. Nothing so dramatic like Mistral or Atlas, being that faunus could get beat up on the side of the road and no one would bat an eye. Doing that in Vale would get you arrested. But, there were still some shops that didn't serve faunus and just cause they weren't beaten on the street didn't mean they didn't suffer things like the slums or verbal insults.

Put all of these together and it became very clear what the Fang's next move was. Attack Vale and overthrow the government currently ruling over it. Basically a revolt, if both an unneeded and bloody one. Though, this already gave Maroon chills. He had a feeling that there was more to this than met the eye. That She was behind this.

"Hey, speaking of Torchwick, why do you keep calling him Roman?" Moustache asked. "You know 'im?"

Maroon hummed as memories of the orange haired rouge filled his head. "I met him around eight years ago. He hadn't started even thinking of doing stuff like this then. Or, if he had, he hid it very well." Maroon explained. He could still remember telling Roman off for saying a slur towards a faunus. "And before you ask, we've also been out of contact for four years. I have no idea where he's at. You'd also think that if I was undercover for him, I wouldn't openly admit to having a friendship with him as well as Ozpin giving me a contract."

"You do have a point." Sunglasses nodded. "But Ozpin could still have given you that contract."

"I doubt that. He's paranoid when it comes to this."

Moustache scoffed. "Don't gotta tell us that. When potential news of an attack on Vale reached that man's desk, he immediately cracked down on the police department. And with good reason. Lord knows that I would be paranoid too."

Maroon hummed with approval and tilted his head down before bringing it back up in a slight nod. Ozpin did indeed have good reason to be paranoid. But, it wasn't for the reason the officers thought. Sure, an attack on Vale was a pretty good reason to worry and probably also played a part in calling Maroon down to Vale. But, that couldn't have been it. No, Maroon was sure he knew the true reason.

"You two finish up here. I have to head back to Ozpin immediately."

Moustache and Sunglesses gave him a look, but otherwise complied and said their goodbyes to Maroon as he walked away

"Y'know, he wasn't half bad." Sunglasses said when he was finally out of view

"First huntsman to treat us like we actually knew what we were doing." Moustache agreed. "Felt pretty damn nice."

Meanwhile, a certain silver-eyed girl and her team approached the shop, not knowing just how close they had been to encountering Maroon.

Ozpin took a sip from his cup as Maroon entered the room. Ozpin was impressed. Only a day and he already had something to report. Clearly, Maroon had been a good pick for this. The look on his face showed worry though. Is it really that bad? Well, as Ozpin would soon find out, it pretty much was.

"I have news on our resident thief." Maroon stated as he walked into the room.

Goodwitch looked to Ozpin with wide eyes. So she hadn't been expecting him to be this fast either.

"That's great news. I have to say, I didn't expect results this fast."

"Yeah, well..." Maroon started as he began to take a seat. "It was just luck mixed with being in the right place and time."

"Regardless, that is great is news." Ozpin adressed. "So, tell me what you have found."

"Roman and the Fang are working together."

Immediately, the tension in the room could be felt. The air seemed to shift from warm and comfortable to cold and restricting. The news was something that Ozpin was not expecting. How was it that an anti-human terrorist group was working with the Fang? Surely he couldn't have heard that right.

"Are you sure?" He asked to be sure

"Positive." Maroon replied. "The police confirmed it for me. Eyewitnesses saw people in White Fang uniforms with Roman robbing a dust shop. And if there are still doubts after that, the local CCTV caught everything. Every single person wearing a White Fang uniform."

Ozpin linked his hands together and leaned on the desk in front of him. This was not good news in the slightest. If anything could pull off an attack against Vale, it would be the White Fang. And the fact that Torchwick was helping supply them was even worse. One of the best thieves and he was helping the Fang. It didn't take a genius to figure out how bad that was

Still, Ozpin couldn't help but ask. "Is it possible that Mr. Torchwick gathered some faunus off the streets and is using them to pose as White Fang?"

"It is, but I think we both know that that... is very unlikely."

That was true. It wasn't like Torchwick to shift the blame onto something else. He loved every single piece of attention he could get. That included the infamous kind. So Torchwick going to the trouble of gathering faunus and dressing them in White Fang uniforms just to place blame om something else was highly unlikely

Ozpin sighed as he leaned back in his chair, his head in his hand. "That does not bode well."

Maroon also sighed as he poured himself a cup of hot cocoa that Ozpin very much cherished to the point of almost drinking it every day. "It does not. But, in light of this, I've come up with a few ideas as to how we are going to track and capture Roman and the White Fang."

"And that would be?"

"Well, with the rate they are stealing dust, they wouldn't be able to simply keep it in one location and these locations would have to be big. Using these criteria, it can be inferred that all of that dust is being stored in warehouses."

Ozpin's eyebrow raised. "And of this your sure? What of the location of these warehouses?"

"One hundred percent." Maroon replied. "As for the location of these warehouses, the load would be to big to cart out of Vale without drawing attention. Well, at least since these Dust robberies started. I don't doubt that a good amount Dust has been carted out, but from the time the first robbery happened to now, there just isn't enough time to get it all out."

"What is your plan for finding the warehouses in Vale? And what of the dust outside of Vale?"

"Well, based on the information you gave me, I was thinking that we could go ahead and track some back to their hideouts. It wouldn't be to hard. All it would require is another huntsman to follow them after a robbery, botched or otherwise." Maroon sat back and took a sip of his hot cocoa before sighing. "As for the dust outside of Vale, we'd need spies within the White Fang to tell us where they are carting it to. Other than that, I can't possibly think of how to find out where that Dust could be. If it's out of Vale, it's long gone."

Ozpin sighed as he also leaned back in his chair. As easy as Maroon made it sound, this was gonna be difficult. When it came to inside the kingdom, there were many turns and twists to lose pursuers in. That included people who were tailing you. And even when they found a hideout, it would still take a lot of recon to determine it's defenses and then the subsequent amount of force to take it from them. Not to mention the Dust outside the kingdom.

"All right. Take the rest of the day off, then get to work on catching Torchwick and the White Fang."

Maroon nodded as he stood up. "I will, but tell me something first."

"And what might that be Mr. Rose?"

"Is She behind all of this?"

Ozpin let out a deep breath, his head leaning forward and eyes narrowing. "I suspect so. There is no idea to be sure, but it would make sense with Mr. Torchwick and the White Fang working together."

"You think he's working for her?" That was said more like a statement than a question

"It's possible." Ozpin replied. "But, again, there's just no way to be sure."

Maroon let out an exasperated sigh at that. Maybe that was why the Fang and Roman started working together. Maybe someone on the White Fang's side was working under her. And to ensure that they could get enough supplies to attack Vale, they hired Roman. Or, Roman could have been found, recruited, and given orders to enlist the White Fang's help. Hell, it was possible that both instances were correct.

"Then I guess I better get to work as soon as possible." Maroon said as he turned away from Ozpin.

"Vale will not fall. Not if I have anything to say about it."

Maroon stared out at the city as thoughts ran through his head. Mainly about the past, but of the present too. His thoughts dwelled on Roman. How had he gotten to this point? Sure, he'd stolen a few things here and there when Maroon first met him. But how did that lead to stealing tons of Dust? Maroon didn't know and that angered him. He would find out, no matter what. From what led Roman on this to path to now.

When they had first met six years ago, Maroon had his wallet stolen from him by Roman. Of course, Roman hadn't known that Maroon was a huntsman in training as Maroon didn't have any weapons on him at the time. So, it was a bit of a shock when Roman turned the corner to an alley and found Maroon standing in it. Maroon took back his wallet and decided to not turn in Roman under the condition that he stop trying to steal things and change. And by change, Maroon meant that Roman had to either be a normal person and get a job to make money or become a huntsman with him. Roman obviously chose the latter.

Maroon sighed as memories flowed through his head. Not just about Roman, but throughout all of his life. From the first years of his life to now. The first six years stood out in particular. Maroon remembered his mom trying her hardest to take care of him before her team found out and offered their help. And Maroon remembered meeting them. He called Taiyang and Qrow Uncles while Raven was called an Aunt. Maroon remembered her mom laughing super hard the first day he'd called them that. Especially when it came to Raven. She wasn't fond of being called Auntie Raven, so you can only imagine the volatile reaction she had to such a thing. Still, for all her shouting and acting like she wanted nothing to do with Maroon, Raven still took care of him when no one else was available or around. Also when Maroon simply just came to her for anything.

He also remembered when he first asked about his father. And props to his mom for explaining it the best way she could at the time, but to hear that your dad may never ever find out you exist was hard. Well, at least it was during his teenage years. Being that he was a child at the time, Maroon didn't fully understand what his mom was telling him. But, understanding the meaning years later did have some effect on him. He remembered when Yang was born. Technically, she wasn't even related to him as she was the child of Raven and Tai. But, Maroon still treated her like a sister, called her a sister. And in time, Yang came to call him a brother too.

God, why did he ever leave? Maroon didn't know. Because he thought he could go save his mom, prove to the world she wasn't dead... or for revenge if it did turn out she was dead, he guessed. It was childish. He should've known that it was a fruitless adventure. The chances of him actually being able to find his mom alive or her killer were simply too small. It might've well been zero. Yet, he kept searching. It was something he'd do until he died. Even if it was the last thing he'll do, whoever felt the need to take his mom from him would pay, of that he'll make sure. But, Maroon wished he wasn't so stupid as a kid. He had abandoned Ruby and Yang. If Tai also needed his help, then he'd abandoned him too. Maroon wished he could take it back. To stay with his family, or at least let them know he was alive and kicking.

So why didn't he now? After all, he was here in Vale and both his sisters were in Beacon. It'd be as simple as knocking on their door. It wasn't like he had a undistinguishable face. Not that many people had black and red hair with silver eyes. They'd know immediately... or assume someone was playing a prank and spit in his face, but that could be remedied.

No. It wasn't that simple. There would be emotions resurfacing that had laid for years. Screams and shouts would be thrown around. They would ask where he had been for twelve years after finding out that they had been a lie and he wouldn't be able to give them a good enough answer. Not like anything would be a better answer. Nothing could excuse abandoning your family. All of them understood that better than anyone. He and Yang the most. Both of them had a parent that had abandoned them. But, on top of that, Yang would have felt abandoned when Maroon left, especially if she knew the truth about him. They probably wouldn't even see him as family anymore

Maroon heard a vehicle pull up to the Dust shop across the street. He had been patrolling it since he'd determined that Roman was the most likely to rob this one due to the data he had analyzed on Roman's robberies. It was simple really. The patterns seemed to be random, but there were two factors that kept Roman from actually being random. One: Roman wouldn't rob the same Dust store twice. Not in the same month, anyway. In order to gather Dust fast, Roman had to steal. It was pretty obvious, but you couldn't just rob the same store twice unless you taking the money out of the cash register. It would take time to resupply, restock, and reopen. The truth is, it's simply too inefficient for how much Dust Roman wanted to steal. Besides, even if Roman could continue to rob the same place over and over again, he wouldn't. It was a great way to get yourself caught by the police by only robbing one place.

Which leads to the second point. The Dust shop would have to be far enough away from a police station to ensure they could get away safely if they were alerted just a bit too fast or if something went wrong. Maybe if this went on for another month or two, constantly robbing Dust shops, Roman might get desperate and start stealing from places closer to police stations. But it hadn't been long enough yet and there were still Dust shops that fit the two criteria. Taking this into account, Maroon narrowed down the potential sites Roman could show up at and went to one. There was no real pattern to Roman's spree. As long as it fit the two criteria, it was fair game. As such, Maroon just mad a guess on where he'd be.

It seemed like Maroon had gotten lucky.

Maroon sighed before he jumped down from the rooftop he'd been on and made his way towards the shop. Roman had already made his way inside with a group of eight or so White Fang members. And now that Maroon had gotten a closer look, it was obvious that these were the real deal. Not some fakers wanting to be big. Obviously, there were still White Fang members outside. Roman wasn't the brightest of the bunch, but he wasn't incompetent either.

But Maroon had plan.

"Hey! You can't be here!" One of the faunus called out to him

Maroon continued to walk forward and made sure to stumble a bit. He was acting as if he was drunk. He did learn from the best after all. Because, despite what everyone believed, Qrow wasn't drunk all of the time. Just most of the time.

"Hey!" Once again he was called out to. "Didn't you hear me? Get out of here!"

This time Maroon moved his head upward to look up at them. "Huh? You talkin' to me?"

"Yeah, I'm talking to you! I said get out of here!"

"But I thought thish was my apartment complex? Ish it not?" Maroon made sure to slur his words a little when it came to some of his words. Mainly ones ending in s.

Another sighed. A Female this time. "Can't we just waste him? He's just a human."

"No. You remember what Brother Adam said. Listen to Torchwick and obey him as he were Adam himself. And Torchwick ordered us to keep quiet unless-"

"Unless the police randomly show up, in which case we are to buy time, I know." She sighed again. "Just wish we didn't have to deal with drunk bastards like him."

"I know, but it's what we have to do." The grunt looked back to Maroon. "I said get lost!"

"Look I justh wanna go to sleep. Please let me by." Maroon responded.

"This isn't your apartment complex you dumb bastard. Now, get lost!"

Damn. this wasn't going to work and Maroon quickly realized that. He wanted to get them close to him but they had yet to move from their position. At this point Maroon would just have to abandon the act and just attack. But there was still one card Maroon had. Even if he absolutely loathed to play it.

"And who are you to tell me what to do? You're just a dirty faunus." Maroon responded, immediately hating himself for saying that.

Both of them froze, fixing him with what he assumed to be glares. Extremely angry ones too.

"... What the hell did you just say to me?" The male spoke with barely contained rage. Understandable. Maroon would hate been called a dirty human.

"You heard me. You can't tell me what to do since you don't work for thish apartment. Now let me by or else."

"And just how do you think you can order me around?"

"I've already said why. You're just a filthy fau-"

The grunt swung at him, having closed the distance super fast. Impressive considering what he belonged to and what training he must've received. But that was nothing compared to a Huntsman, especially one like Maroon who can keep pace with Qrow at his best. Maroon deflected the blow to his right, ensuring that the grunt's momentum would carry him past Maroon. When the grunt did pass Maroon he wrapped his arms around the mans waist and proceeded to suplex the man into oblivion. Maroon used the momentum from the suplex to flip backward avoiding the shot that came barreling down at him soon after.

Maroon drew his sword and cut the gun in half before kicking her through the glass door, causing it to break and gain the attention of everyone inside. Maroon walked up to the door and sighed. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry about calling you two dirty faunus. You've faced enough discrimination."

"F-Fuck you."

"That being said, I can't let you do as you please. There are rules you know."

Maroon heard the clicking of shoes get a little closer, causing Maroon to look that way to ensure that he wouldn't get blindsided. However, he came face to face with one of the only people smart enough to pull this off.

"And I ask you; what is the point of rules if they aren't broken every now and then." Roman Torchwick asked as he stared at Maroon. "It's been a long time since I seen that face. I just wish it was under better circumstances."

"Me too." Maroon replied

"Still, I guess it's good to see you. Maroon."

"Roman."

And that will be all folks! Well, not all, but most of it. There's a few things I wanna say first. So, first and foremost, Roman. I know about Roman Holiday, and while I haven't read it, I do know that what I have stated in this chapter about him is non-canon. I'll warn you now that were in the second chapter, this is not going to canon compliant, it will be canon divergent. My first canon divergent story ever. While I've had a few different fics, every single one of them would've followed the main storyline and kept many different backgrounds the same they were in canon with some minor changes here and there. And while it still is pretty impressive, as juggling a character arc is pretty hard and in order to make sure it goes smoothly it needs to be planned in advance, I wanted to try my hand at writing my own story line for once. I also feel the need to state the fact that I am not doing this with the intention of making RWBY better. RWBY is one of my favorite shows and while I admit that somethings could have been done better, I do not think that show needs a whole reboot nor rewrite. And if it did, I would be the least qualified to do that. Better to leave something like that to the actual writers of the show if they felt like that was necessary than to some stranger who doesn't even have a degree (yet).

All this is an attempt at creating my own storyline, and nothing more.

That's about all I have to say. Let me know what you thought about this chapter. I personally hoped you loved it

Love y'all and see ya later!
