(A week later)
Felix came up to Ralph after the last round of their game, wiping his forehead.
"What's the matter? You know I've got nothin' to fix if your not wrecking anything."
"Dude. I was. And who cares? the kid lost anyway." Ralph replied with no emotion as he wiped mud off himself.
"Not that much, bud. tiny window cracks ain't gonna cut it for me."
To avoid another mini-lecture from his friend, the large man lazily climbed up the latter to the roof. Expectedly, Felix came climbing right behind.
"I'm sorry Felix, today's just not my day."
Felix set his hand on Ralph's shoulder. "You still upset about her? Maybe call her on that little phone thing." He figured Ralph wouldn't say what was wrong, but it was a pretty good idea of what dilemma he was having.
"It- it's not that, okay? I'm tired."
Ralph sighed, paranoia getting to his head once again.
"Me and my friends at Bad-Anon aren't that close anymore okay?" He let out, looking down at the ground and thinking about his life choices. "Clyde and Zangeif got into an argument about something stupid and things feel a bit heated at Pac-Man's now."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. Well you know Ralph your always welcome to hang out with us." Felix reminded.
"Yeah, right."
"Look, how about you show me this whole internet thing? We can go get things off your mind."
He agreed with his suggestion, so much that he wanted to smile, but couldn't.
--
Two drivers blocked the player's entrance to a bank, a glitch taking half of AwesomeRabbit23's money. Vanellope frowned when the player respawned to the main street, she didn't think she was supposed to do that.
"Huh. Story's almost done." Shank said to herself, looking at her screen as she got a notification.
Vanellope turned to where she stood, her hands still on the wheel. "What do you mean?"
"The games story. It's almost finished. What, you don't have a story in your old game?" Shank asked.
"Nah, we'd just race, own it, done and done." Vanellope stretched out her arms. "I'mma go visit the Princesses, okay?" She didn't get any form of response from her. She sighed, now being used to her best friend's new attitude.
She strolled along the internet, seeing the same things. Ebay auctions over pointless items, overflowing Instagram posts, and loud Youtube videos with no genuine humor.
--
"Did Shank even look at you?" Belle asked with a book in her hand.
"Nope. Nuthin'. It's like she cares about her game more than me, like I don't even exist." The little girl complained.
"You know, V, a game like that's a lot for someone your age. Don't you think it's time to take a break?" Tiana recommended.
"Yeah, but I can't leave Slaughter Race. It's my dream game. Even though it's lame now. That's why I wanna have my own tracks." The little girl said with a guilty face. "Haven't won a round in a while, I'm losin' my spunk."
"I thought you guys beat the players today." Rapunzel chimed in.
"I meant by myself. Shank always tells me where to drive so I don't go the wrong way-"
"Hey, we're on in fourteen." Said Elsa, perfecting her signature braid.
"Oh, that's time. Looks like you'll have to go." Snow White said softly as she hugged Vanellope goodbye.
