Wait…" Said Winona, prying free of the man's hand. "Jail? You said jail. You thought I had something to do with-"

The man held a single beringed hand up to silence her as he stepped uneasily forward with a look of wonder that was gradually bleeding away into one of abject terror. "Link.." He breathed. "I-it really is you…" What are you …What are You DOING HERE!?"

"I…" Legend began with a mouthful of pizza which he swallowed hard without chewing sufficiently and choking in the process. Four who had come up beside him gave the struggling man a hard slap on the back to clear the clog. "R-Ravio?" He choked his voice breaking the name into an extra syllable.

Ravio's face turned stony, and the Hero of Legend took an involuntary step back.

"Where is Valda." He asked, his voice cold, hands balled at his sides. "What are you Doing here…Link?"

"You know him?" Winona's eyes darted from one man to the other, a look of bewildered fear on her face. "Rav…wait! How do you know them? What is happening?"

"HUSH!" He snapped at her never tearing his eyes from Legend, making the girl balk, and fold her arms in indignation. "Answer me…'Hero'… Why are you here?"

Legend stared at him, awed by Ravio's uncharacteristic show of…'courage'(?) and by his apparent hostility. "umnn.. ah.."

Time stepped forward in front of the pink-haired Hero, running interference. He folded his arms upon his chest and glowered down at the paunchy, greying man in the purple suit. "Hello, Merchant. It seems that we meet again." He said with a tight smile that did not reach his eye. "We seem to have stumbled through a portal into this world and now apparently have a mutual acquaintance. How do you do of late…good Sir?"

Ravio flinched at the unspoken threat and seemed to both 'size up' and 'give up' against the much larger Time in a single moment. He slumped slightly, and now it was Winona's turn to catch him in an embrace, she held up the terrified man who looked like he was seeing ghosts.

"You.." Ravio murmured.. pointing at Time with a shaking hand "I remember you. We met once. Some 30 years ago. But…how is it none of you have aged a Day?. I.. I " He turned half-facing Winona "R-Right.." Ravio said, wobbling. "I think I need to s-" *Thud*

The man sank to the ground in a faint. Try as she might the girl was unable to stop his fall and succeeded only in keeping his head from cracking against the stone step leading to the door.

"huh.." Mused Winona, looking up at the Chain from her spot on the ground cradling the head of the now unconcious man in her hands. "That went a little better than expected.."
