The gang gingerly made their way inside, as quietly as possible. Time led the way as he was among the only ones with magical abilities independent of any missing items or equipment, his left hand glowed a soft blue with a casting of Nayru's Love at the ready if need be. Twilight as Wolfie walked beside him, his keen senses clearing each room as they made their way through the house. Ravio walked on his other side as a guide in the dark. Wild picked up the rear for the same reason as Time with Daruk's Protection on call... Legend walked in front of the girls and Justin (who were all basically being corralled in the middle of the group), brandishing a heavy-looking candelabra that he had picked up in the foyer, ready to move to protect with Hyrule and Four on either side of him.. Sky, Wars, and Wind walked behind the girls, with the same motivation as the Vet, each brandishing a makeshift weapon of some kind.

The foyer was dark and silent…seemingly undisturbed. The fountain was quiet and still, without power to run its pumps. The golden figures of the goddesses and the bejeweled bird glinted dully in the low light of the moon shafting through the high windows above. Once they made it beyond into the main hall, Ravio made a 'come hither gesture with his hand and they began to make the ascent up the stairs.

They made it up to the third floor without incident. The house was still deathly silent as they crept on…

"Your rooms are right around this hall...get your shit and get out fast," Ravio spoke in a low voice almost directly into Time's ear.

Time nodded, indicating that he had heard him. Twilight's ears twitched. The wolf gave a soft 'boof' showing acknowledgment as well. They all continued forward in the dim hall illuminated only by the moonlight.

Suddenly, a small splatter of dark liquid (blood?) was visible on the floor as they walked, Wolfie sniffed it and gave a thin whine. He looked up at the others. His eyes wide. He followed the trail of droplets beyond the spot and around a bend in the corridor to a new section. The drops led to a closed door. The Wolf scratched at it and whined again. Ravio stepped back as if he was preparing to run.

"No , wait… I don't think it's monsters in there." Time said. "He wouldn't act like that for a monster…"

Ravio nodded uncertainly and came forward pulling a gold skeleton key from his pocket (because of course he has one of those). He unlocked the door with a shaking hand and slowly, silently turned the knob. It swung open.

And a dark shape swooped out of the darkness and clocked him across the side of the head knocking the plump man backward, unconscious, and into Time's arms. Time ducked as the object made a second swinging arc and Legend lunged forward catching the swinging thing in a fork of his makeshift weapon.

A figure stepped out of the shadows...
