Regina heard the doors open but didn't even look up to know that it was Emma, "Hello, dear."

Emma stood for a moment at the door basking in the office. The large desk, the fireplace, the large glass table to the left assumed to be a meeting table, the large window behind the mayor illuminating her form behind as of she was an angel.

Regina signed the bottom of the paper and put it in the stack to her left, the 'Done' pile. She sat her pen down neatly and finally looked at the blonde, "I thought I told you to let me know when you were ready?"

Emma finally closed her mouth and walk towards the desk, "How could I if I don't have a way to contact you? But, I brought you some food from that little diner, Granny's, I think? I just go you a water, I wasn't sure what you liked." She looked somewhere to set the bag and cups, not wanting to mess anything up on the very organized desk, so she settled for one of the chairs.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to do that," Regina smirked.

Emma stood awkwardly looking around trying not to stare at the angelic mayor, "It's the least I could do... for your hospitality."

"Please," Regina gestured to the empty chair, "sit down, dear, unless you'd like to eat standing up."

Emma chuckled slightly, then she got out the food from the bag and handed it to Regina. Emma waited to see if she would use her desk as a lunch table. When Regina did, Emma followed and opened her box to start eating.

After a few bites, "have you made your decision?" Regina questioned.

Emma stared blankly.

"About staying?"

"Oh! Let's see how this tour goes first. Will there be fairies? I might have to stay for some fairy dust," Emma laughed as she closed her box.

Regina was not amused.

"Because of the whole fairy tale thing?"

Still nothing.

"I'm kidding," Emma was so embarrassed she almost finished her water in one swig. Was Ruby right?

Regina sighed, "As much as I adore my son, this idea of his...it's not doing any good for anyone. But, Hopper insists that I let this imagination run it's course." Regina looked so annoyed that it seemed as though her eyes turned darker. "But enough of that, I have one more document to look through, if you don't mind waiting."

"N- no, not at all, take your time." Emma didn't mean to make her upset, she just wanted to make a light hearted joke. Should I stay? I'm not sure if she likes me now. She placed her empty to-go box back in the bag and gestured to the mayor, non-verbally asking if she was also finished. Regina pushed her box towards the nervous hand without looking. Emma put her box in the bag, "Where's your trash can?"

"There's a big one by Vincent's desk." Regina was glued to her paper.

"Got it. And the bathroom?"

"Out the door, first right, first door on the left."

"I'll be right back," Emma nervously walked out the door.

Vincent was on the phone talking with someone about a meeting, but they couldn't come in today for obvious reasons. Vincent kept rolling his eyes and doodling on his note pad saying the same things over and over, "No the mayor is busy today," or "the mayor doesn't have slots open today," and other things of that nature.

Emma threw the lunch bag in the trash and followed her directions. First right...first door on the left. Emma didn't actually need to go to the bathroom, she just needed to get a hold of herself. Nervous hands opened the door then locked it as soon as she got in. She splashed her face with water and dried off, "c'mon, Swan." Emma wanted to do the opposite of make Regina upset, she wanted to win her over. She sat on the toilet seat lid with her head in her hands, taking a few deep breaths. She finally looked up and saw the same tree wallpaper in the bathroom that was in the office, there were red accents throughout and a bowl apples on the back of the toilet. The blonde finally stood up, took one last look in the mirror, straightened her jacket then headed back to the office.

When Emma left the office, Regina stopped reading. She had already done that one, she didn't have any more to do actually. She just needed a minute knowing Emma would too. Regina put her pen back in it's cup, organized all the papers and put them in a large manila folder. Her manicured hand gently swept away some crumbs on her desk, then took a drink of her water and set it on her only coaster. She phones Vincent and he answered right away.

A sigh of relief, "Thank you for saving me, I don't know how many way I can say 'no'. Anyway, yes ma'am?"

"Did she leave or actually go to the bathroom?"

"The bathroom, but she looked a little..."

"Scared?"

"Yes."

"That's what I was afraid of. I don't mean for that to happen, I just don't want her to joke about Henry's wrong accusations. I've told you about them."

"Yes, you have. But don't let that get to you, babe. She's one hell of a woman and if you don't take her out, I will!"

They both laughed. Regina needed to hear his voice. It's always soothing and he knows just what to say, even if it isn't very helpful.

Vincent gasped, "she's coming back. Good luck, hun!"

"I'll need it," Regina sighed and hung up. Shake it off, she doesn't know.

Emma smiled at the secretary as she approached the office as he winked back. Emma knocked on the door once more and walked right in. Regina was already on her way to her purse.

"Alright, where to, Madam Mayor?" The blonde stopped in the middle of the office, watching and admiring the brunette's delicate but strong movements.

"We'll stop at places that I think are the most important, but I'll point out some other things along the way," the mayor slowly walked toward Emma, ending close to her, "then maybe you'll have your decision?" Regina's hand was resting on Emma's forearm with their eyes locked onto each other's.

The blonde was sweating, not breathing. The beautiful woman was a kiss length away from her, but she was afraid it wouldn't happen if she tried. The only thing Emma managed to do was nod her head.

Regina returned the nod and grabbed Emma's hand, "well, let's get started." The brunette pulled Emma's hand towards the door as she opened it with the other, letting go once they got into the hallway.

Vincent waved and smiled at the mayor as she winked back. Vincent was the best secretary because he never questioned anything and just did as he was told, which is exactly what Regina needed. The only thing he questioned was if they should have another bottle of wine and the answer was always yes. He was also, probably, her only friend.

The two women weaved in and out of the town's workers with almost everyone saying bye to Regina and her replying back. Emma just followed her like a puppy, curious, excited and a bit nervous. They finally reached the mayor's black cadillac.

"This is your car?" Emma was surprised.

"Yes, I love an old fashioned car. They look so... regal to me." Regina unlocked the car and got in.

"Hm!" Was the only thing Emma could come up with. She got in as well. In a car, with the mayor, who happens to be my son's adoptive mother, who happens to be very attractive. If this was a rom-com, we'd be kissing by now. At that thought, Emma was fighting the urge to just lean over and seal the deal.

"First stop is the sheriff's office, you remember him right?" Regina pulled out of the parking lot.

"Met him today, actually."

"Oh? How was that?" Regina was concerned. She had done...some things with him, hoping nothing even remotely close to a joke came out.

"Awkward. Not much to say," Emma stared at Regina's flawless side profile for far too long, taking in every color, crease, pore, everything she could.

"He can be that way sometimes," Regina agreed and stopped at the stop sign. She turned her head meeting Emma's gaze. She also thought of just leaning over to kiss her, but it was way too public for Regina's liking. She turned her gaze back to the road and continued. After a few more stop signs, "here we are." Regina parked.

"Small but mighty I assume," Emma got out of the car.

"He's the only one actually. Not much crime happens here, which I am grateful for," Regina also stepped out of the car and led the way.

Emma followed and they walked into the station.
