Episode 3: Seeing him again
(Morning)
Amanda wakes up to the sound of her alarm. She turns over on her side to turn it off, then she get's out of bed. Now deciding that she will no longer be able to return to her once peaceful sleep. She walks to her bathroom to brush her teeth on wash up. She get's her toothbrush and put's her toothpaste on the brush, then turns on the water to wet it. As she's brushing her teeth, she thinks that she see's a person in the mirror. She ignores it, but that was until she saw show amanda.
Amanda: "AHHH."
Show Amanda: "Hiya."
Amanda: "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be at the show."
Show Amanda: "Well, I just wanted to see my favorite person. Is that so wrong?"
The small glint in show amanda's eyes was almost creepy. To the untrained eye she looked as if she was completely normal. But amanda knew that was far from the truth. After all, they know each other like the back of their hands. Amanda almost shivered at that thought.
Show Amanda: "Well don't act so shocked, you knew that you'd have to face me one way or another. It's been years since you've seen me."
Amanda: "That may be true, but I know you're here for another reason. So, what is it?"
Show Amanda: "Well, I'm just wondering how long it will be until you finally break."
'How long until I break? This must be a joke'
Amanda: "I'm sorry…what?"
Show Amanda: "You heard me."
Amanda: "Listen, I don't know what you're getting at, but I don't break."
Show Amanda: "That's what they all say."
Amanda: "Don't act like you're all perfect and untouched. You could be self-imploding by the minute and not know it."
Show Amanda: "You would know a lot about that, would you?"
Amanda: "What?"
Show Amanda: "Even if I was or wasn't, I'd never tell."
Amanda: "Whatever."
Show Amanda: "Well, as much as I love toying with you, I have other things to attend to."
And with that, she disappeared out of the mirror. Leaving Amanda to leave the bathroom to get dressed. Once she got to her closet in her room, she picked out a white crop top and some jeans. And, to top it all off, she wore some white shoes.
Amanda: "This should do."
She grabbed her phone and headed out the door. As she started to walk along the boardwalk, she got this brilliant idea. She could order pizza for her friends, and they could all hang out together. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and started to call Fish Stew Pizza.
(On the phone)
Kiki: Thank you for calling Fish Stew Pizza, what can I get you?
Amanda: I would like to order 1 large pepperoni pizza.
Kiki: Is this for Pickup or delivery?
Amanda: Pickup.
Kiki: Ok, your total is 9.99. Your pizza will be ready in 15 minutes.
Amanda: Thanks.
(Call ended)
'Well, I got 15 minutes to wait. Might as well use this time to go look at the ocean'
She walked of the boardwalk and onto the sand. She stood their and looked at the ocean with such amazement. As she breathed the air, she could smell the mixture of salty water mixing with the warm breezy air. She hasn't felt like this since she was 9 years old. She couldn't help but smile a little.
?: "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
She didn't know who this person was, but she could tell by this person's accent, that they are British. She could also tell by the shadow in the sand, that this person was also tall.
Amanda: "Yes, it is."
Steven: "There you are garnet. You're a…*huff* fast walk-"
He instantly recognized the face beside garnet.
Steven: "Hey amanda! What are you doing here?"
Amanda: "Oh I was just looking at the ocean."
Garnet: "Amanda is a pretty name."
Amanda almost blushed 7 different colors. No one has ever said anything like that, except for her parents.
Amanda: "Th-thank you."
'damnit'
While she was busy blushing, she remembered the pizza.
Amanda: "Oh I just remembered; I have to go visit my friends."
She started to walk off while saying 'bye' to the both of them. That was until she felt a tug on her shirt. She looked, and she saw steven looking at her with his phone in hand.
Steven: "I was wondering, since you're my friend, can we exchange phone numbers?"
She could only freeze.
Amanda: "We've just met each other like 3 days ago, and you already consider me as your friend."
Steven: "Yeah! And since then, I considered you a friend."
All she could do was shrug at that. I mean what did she have to lose. They handed each other's phones to each another, and began to put their contact information in. She then told steven 'goodbye' and left to go pick up the pizza. Garnet just stood their and watched her figure disappear into the building.
Amanda walked into fish stew pizza and went to the side of the counter to pick up the pizza.
Kiki: "Hi, welcome to fish stew pizza. Are you here for pickup?"
Amanda: "Yes. I'm here to pick up the large pepperoni pizza."
Kiki: "Oh right, let me get it for you."
Kiki went into the back to grab the pizza. Then she went back to the counter and handed It to Amanda.
Kiki: "Your total is 9.99."
Amanda pulled her card out of her pocket and swiped it on the card reader. Once the payment was approved, she pulled her card out of the reader and put it back in her pocket.
Amanda: "Thank you."
Kiki: "Your welcome."
She left the restaurant and started to walk toward her friend's house.
'Marcus is probably over at valentine's house. Classic marcus'
As she turned the corner, she realized that she was almost at Valentine's house and the pizza was still warm.
(Time skip)
She made it to her friend's house. She rang the doorbell, and shortly after, valentine opened the door.
Valentine: "Hey Amanda! What are you doing here?"
Amanda: "Well, I just decided that I'd stop by so we could hang out and eat pizza. I see Marcus's car is here, so he must be inside too."
Valentine: "Yeah. He's here. Well, come on in, and let's get this party started."
She walked into the house and sat the pizza down on the coffee table and opened the box. Valentine grabbed the plates. Marcus then came into the living room; Valentine also gave him a plate.
Marcus: "So, I'm guessing you decided to surprise us with a pizza and hangout day. Smart move."
Amanda: "I try."
Valentine: "Can we just eat the pizza already?"
Amanda: "Oh, right."
So, they eat, hang out, and watch tv, together like the good friends that they always were. Amanda couldn't help but smile at what they've all grown up to be. She wouldn't have it any other way.
(Tv Static)
Show Amanda: "You see how happy they look?"
Audience: "Yes."
Show Amanda: "Ya know, happiness is a funny thing because it's unpredictable, and you never know what might make you happy.
Show amanda phases into the house, behind Amanda and whispers:
But unhappiness is just as unpredictable as anything else.
