Chapter Eleven "Welcome Back"
"This is Lisa Lavender from the Vale News Network bringing you the latest update on the Patch Nudity Incident," reported Lisa Lavender the news anchor for Vale News Network (VNN). "We bring you a shocking new development. A woman has recently turned herself into the police and confessed that the perpetrators were fake and that she pretended to be them for the sake of revenge. Here is a recording of her public statement before she gave herself up to the police."
The screen changed to show a young woman in front of the police station.
"I, Wilca, apologize to Taiyang Xiao Long and Qrow Branwen for my deceptive actions that made them accused of the crimes: public indecency and nudity that they had never committed. I shouldn't have used my Semblance to imitate their appearance," said the young woman while bowing to camera. She stood up and her eyes lit up with burning fury. "BUT I do regret pretending to be Raven Branwen to ruin her reputation."
The screen changed back to Lisa.
"Later on, Wilca's lawyer announced that her client had a blood feud with the infamous criminal leader of the Branwen tribe. A blood feud that had resulted from Branwen tribe raiding a small village leading to the deaths of her client's family."
Salem started to tune it out the news as it started to repeat the same information that had been given in the past few hours.
"What are you doing Ozpin?" Salem said absentmindedly as she tapped her finger on her throne. "Why did Raven reveal that she was Maiden? Are you planning something and trying to goad me or has Raven made a careless mistake?"
The Grimm Queen connected to the vast network of her clones and Grimm designed to act like biological computers. She gathered all the information she had and put them through countless stimulations. This was one of the reasons why she had always been ahead of Ozpin in their shadow war. Ozpin's brain was limited by his host and time took away even the most brilliant minds of his allies as age took their toll while her processing power only increased with time.
From what information that was currently available, there was a very high chance that Raven had accidentally revealed that she was a Maiden. It wouldn't be the first time that a Maiden had given herself away due a careless mistake. The intel on Raven suggested that she had been drunk or under some sort of influence while she had used magic in public. So, Raven might have unknowingly acted with her rational compromised.
If by the low chance that Ozpin had planned for Raven to reveal her identity as a Maiden as bait Salem then the Grimm Queen was going to make several contingencies plans to make sure whatever Ozpin was scheming would fail.
As part of mind formulated plans, Salem leaned back into her throne and wondered for the millionth time why she had to keep up with charade. If she really wanted and used every means at her disposal, it was very likely she could drive humanity and the faunus extinct.
"The stupid Brother Gods…" Salem cursed.
The Brother Gods had promised to return to Remnant after the four Relics were reunited. They had claimed that "if humanity has redeemed itself then they would make humanity whole again and restore humanity's magic or they would wipe them out for good, along with the planet itself," but Salem knew better. Just as she and Ozpin had played the lives of many humans and faunus as chess pieces, the Brother Gods themselves could be treating herself and Ozpin in a similar manner. Albeit as high level chess pieces like Kings.
The death she yearned for and her pursuit for eternal rest may be simple an amusing play for the Brother Gods to watch as Ozpin did everything in his powers to stop her from uniting the four Relics.
Hell, Salem was willingly to bet her pleads to resurrect Ozma in the distant past, the Brother Gods refusal to revive Ozma and allowing her to gather the first generation of magic-capable Humanity against the gods had been entertainment. Their ability to wipe out all of humanity and damage the planet to the extent that it was called Remnant being evident of their omnipotent powers, and how everything humanity did was pointless.
Salem had a strong suspicion that if she used all forces then the Brother Gods may intervene just as they had by resurrecting Ozma to stop her.
Shaking her head and banish her current thoughts, Salem called on her computer specialist.
"What may I do for you Ma'am?" asked the disgraced former Atlas scientist.
"Did you find out more about this Wilca?"
"Yes, Ma'am," replied Watts as he handed over a Scroll to Salem. "To summarize, most of the information currently circulating around the news and internet were not fabricated or altered. Data that has been changed are likely the result of Tohsaka Industries and parties associated with them."
Salem frowned at the information that Watts had provided her with. Wilca wasn't special for the most part. A former huntress that had retired after finding her powers were not enough or she couldn't handle the stress of the job. A story that could be found all over Remnant. It was the part where Tohsaka Industries was involved that concerned Salem.
The raise of Tohsaka Industries had caught her passing attention more than once in the past given that they actively supported and sponsored many archeological expeditions into searching Remnant's past. She had been curious to why such a growing economic powerhouse would devote so many resources to investigating ruins that had little commercial value or interest save for the rich that had a strange fascination with the past.
It seemed that she should have paid more attention given the recent activity of the Tohsaka Industries. The fact that the company's founder, Rin Tohsaka, had shown the ability to use magic and was actively teaching it in Beacon Academy was an alarming new development that greatly troubled her, not because of what they had achieved so far, but what they COULD do in the future.
Salem had a strong feeling that if Tohsaka Industries were to be left alone could become a third player that sat on the chessboard, which had been until now fought in the shadows between herself and Ozpin.
"How much evidence do we have that Wilca's unusual growth in her Semblance, Doppelganger how to do with Tohsaka Industries?" She asked while looking up from her Scroll and to Watts.
"It is very likely that Wilca is part of Tohsaka Industries growing intelligence network. I had to personally take action to investigate the matter. Unless you were part of the world's greatest hackers then you would have likely been fooled by the level of coverup that Tohsaka Industries had employed."
Salem raised a brow. Watts was amongst Remnant's greatest hackers, the only reason why he wasn't in the top ten was because he had talents in other fields like computer engineering, mechanical engineering, anatomical engineering, espionage and guerrilla warfare. If Watts had only specialized in hacking then Salem knew without a doubt that the Doctor would rank amongst the top 3 hackers. For him to praise Tohsaka Industries hackers might they had a very powerful group of hackers at their disposal.
This new development made Salem reassess Tohsaka Industries threat-level. While it wasn't up there yet on the level of Ozpin, she didn't think that the company might become a dangerous thorn to her plans.
"How deeply have we penetrated the Tohsaka Industries ranks?"
"Human intelligence would fall under Tyarian's and Hazel's responsibility, but from what I heard from them it seems we had some limited success in planting our people or recruiting informants. We have reached into Tohsaka Industries' middle management, but yet to extend our tendrils into upper management. Tohsaka Industries' counter-intelligence network is rather notorious for rooting out corporate spies."
"Magic no doubt having a strong role in that," Salem added.
Watts shuddered when magic was brought up. It was such a fascinating and tempting ability that he had nearly succumbed to researching on magic. The only thing stopping him was Salem's deathly warning and the notes of his predecessor reminding their successors that looking into magic was a death sentence which promised a very slow and agonizing death. His body became cold when he remembered the most infamous example where one of Salem's confidants had slowly been tortured over centuries until Salem had stopped tormenting him because she had gotten bored of it.
"That reminds me… How is your investigation into how Rin Tohsaka is able to use magic and her motives of spreading it?" asked Salem, snapping Watts out of his thoughts.
"Argh!" He blurted out. "I'm afraid there is no solid evidence, but baseless theories so far." He quickly bowed his head. "I apologize Ma'am for the lack of information."
"You are forgiven after all you have done for me, but I am expecting results. And they better be soon."
"Of course, I get to it right away!" shouted Watts as he made plans to personally attend to the matter.
Salem watched as Watts scurry away and she turned to the holographic globe representing Remnant as she planned her next move.

"I can't believe people are no longer thinking that it wasn't me, you or Raven involved in what everyone is calling the Patch Nudity Incident!" shouted Taiyang in a slurred voice.
Qrow just sighed. He found the reversal in roles to be tiring. It was Taiyang that was the one that was somber and listening to his complaints. Qrow hadn't been expecting to be the one not drunk.
"Look Tai, just be grateful that Tohsaka Industries had been able to cover up the incident." Qrow replied while trying to extract the jug of beer in Taiyang's hands.
"It wasn't Ozpin?!" blurted a drunk Taiyang as he wrested the beer jug away from Qrow's hands.
"No, it wasn't Ozpin. His people joined in afterwards, but the initial coverup had been done by Tohsaka Industries at the personal orders of Rin Tohsaka."
"Why would a rich lady like her care about my, yours and Raven's reputation?!"
"You have to thank Yang and Ruby. It seems Rin is interested in the girls and acted to protect us for their sake."
"How is protecting our reputation helping my daughters!?"
Qrow groaned in frustration. His friend slash husband-in-law was normally a very perceptive and emotionally aware man. He shook his head and remained himself that Taiyang was being influenced by the alcohol he had drunk, and it had been a ridiculous amount given the number of empty bottles nearby. A normal man would have blacked out when they had consumed a tenth of what Taiyang had taken.
"Yang and Ruby would be negative affected if their father and mother, or step-mom in Ruby's case, had been seen running around naked in public. Can you imagine how much the girls' reputation would have taken a hit, the rumors bound to go around and the bullying they could suffer if they are associated with perverted family?"
"Oh, Brothers…" Taiyang grumbled as his mind seemed to clear. "That is really bad if you put in that way."
"That's right…" Qrow muttered and he felt the urge to drink himself. "You better stay low for a while out of the public eye until the next news cycle events distract the public and they all forgot about you."
"Definitely will. No way am I going to risk drawing attention to myself if only for Yang's and Ruby's sake." Taiyang threw the half-empty beer jug away and made his way for a kitchen cabinet.
"What are you looking for Tai? You better not be looking for harder stuff to drink. It's a miracle that you are even conscious or not in the hospital for alcohol poisoning."
"Got this." Taiyang threw something at Qrow.
Qrow caught the object to find it one of Tohsaka Industries' newest products…
"It's a general antidote designed as all-in-one cure for many forms poisoning and other blood-related chemical reactions. Funny story, I got these to help you out with your excessive alcohol drinking. It's ironic that I would be using it, the man that hardly drinks."
Even through he had seen it many times, Qrow was still amazed by how fast Taiyang started to somber up after drinking the antidote potion. Tohsaka Industries truly lived up to its reputation as an affordable and high-quality goods and services.
"I've finally gotten my stress out of my system." Taiyang coughed as the last of lingering effects of alcohol disappeared from his mind. "So… What is Ozpin planning to do after Raven gave away her status as a Maiden during her lust-idled episode?"
"Oh, Ozpin's not going away close to Raven for the foreseeable future," replied Qrow as he grabbed more alcohol that was for him this time. "Let's just say I had a temporary falling out with Oz after a certain statement he made regarding my sister." He popped open the lid of some hard liquor and started emptying the bottle down his mouth. "Argh… That's some good stuff. Anyway, Oz accused Raven of being a slut and I slugged a punch at him before leaving in anger."
Taiyang's mouths hung open and his eyes widened in disbelief. "Ozpin said what… Are you out of your mind?!"
"I thought the same after my anger subsided." Qrow took another large swig of alcohol. "Yet, I doubt Oz will be too offended by my actions. Heaven's sake! He is an immortal that cannot die and reincarnates every time with a new identity. He has probably seen and heard anything that can happen and more than once."
"Ozpin is what?! He cannot die!? You have a lot of explaining to do Qrow. I thought you would never keep secrets from me!"
"I had some good reasons, but hell with that! Not after he accused Raven of being a slut." The bottle in Qrow's hand was quickly made empty and he threw it away while grabbing for another bottle. "Here are the secrets that I had kept from you and I now believe you deserve to know…"

Raven sighed as she watched her husband and brother drinking and talking. It warmed her heart that they were closer than ever. She felt pangs of jealous grow when thinking about how estranged she had become with her husband, brother and daughter.
"Don't blame me for being heartless…" Raven grumbled as she looked down her chest where very close to her heart, underneath her ribcage was an implanted object that had surgically placed there as part of the transfer of power, making her the Branwen Tribe Leader. "It's this damn thing that had prevented from carrying out my duties as a wife and mother. Although, I doubt anyone would believe that as magic…" Her eyes widened as she just remembered something! Yang's Scroll.
She quickly reached for her Scroll and accessed the app she had to spy on Yang. The magic imbued in her chest might stop her from helping her husband, brother and daughter as it forced her from prioritizing the welfare of the Branwen Tribe, but it couldn't stop her from worrying about her family. With the power of the Branwen Tribe, which she no longer possessed, she had arranged for a spying program to be inserted into Yang's phone so if Raven wanted she could see what her daughter was up to.
Through Yang's Scroll, Raven was able to access information that had been limited to only the teachers and students at Beacon Academy that wanted to learn magic from Rin Tohsaka. She searched Yang's class notes and textbooks until she finally found information about the magical object implanted in Raven's torso as part of her taking the mantle of Branwen Tribe leadership.
"So the name of the magical item in my chest is called a Magic Crest. Even its description is spot on." Raven muttered in relief after years of fruitless results that she had finally found the answer.
The now identified Magic Crest that had been implanted in her chest was the thing she hated the most, even more than Ozpin when he revealed that Salem was immortal and commanded the Grimm. The stupid Magic Crest had stopped Raven from rushing over to her family when she had wanted and forced her to place the welfare of her former tribe before her family.
"I can't believe it was the foolish and power-hungry factions within the tribe that had freed me from the geas." She laughed at the irony. "Now there is nothing me from looking after Tai and Yang." Raven smiled happily and she was about to learn more about Magic Crests when she heard something that greatly angered her. "My research on Magic Crests will sadly have to wait. I first have Tai and Qrow to deal with first." She turned off her Scroll and groaned. "Hey! I heard that Tai, Qrow!" She screamed as kicked down the door Raven had been eavesdropping from. "How can describe our sex to my brother, Tai!"
"Raven!" Qrow and Tai shouted in alarm as they stood up.
"Qrow if you dare to listen Tai talk about having sex with me or ask about it later when I am not around then I'm going to tell Yang and Ruby how you nearly ended up as their father on several occasions!"
The two men turned pale. The events that Raven was referring to was ranked amongst their most embarrassing and regretful moments of their lives.
"On our graduation celebration from Beacon as licensed Huntsmen you and Tai got so drunk that you double-teamed and banged an intoxicated Summer. That was the first instance." Raven continued furiously as she glared at Qrow. "There were several other instances after I gave birth to Yang several times and before/after Summer conceived Ruby that you nearly knocked up her with a child. The most absurd event was when our entire team got so drunk that we had a marriage ceremony for you and Summers. The legally binding paperwork that would have made you husband and wife had not been made official because of a silly mistake, narrowly stopped Summer from becoming Mrs Branwen!"
Qrow and Tai wanted to dig a hole and hide in it as Raven started to bring up Team STQR's darkest moments. Yet in their embarrassment, they were also happy as the hot-blooded Raven was back. They listened to Raven's chiding while trying to hide their smiles at the once-lost teammate had returned to the fold.

Ozpin hummed joyfully. He was so happy that Ozpin felt as if there was a good future before them. It seemed that the budding hope he had felt when Rin Tohsaka and her husband had come to Beacon to teach was finally blossoming in ways that he never would had expected.
For the first time in centuries, he genuinely felt the burden of the world no longer laid on his shoulders anymore as Tohsaka Industries under the guidance of Rin Tohsaka could achieve many things that he had never been able to do when more pressing matters had called his attention.
His hands tightened as his flexed his muscles. He felt that if he was to unleash it that he could easily destroy one of the walls as easily as breathing. Ozpin had missed this feeling. The physical and magical power that he had commanded at Ozma. If he was to head to Land of Darkness, Ozpin was sure he could make very deep into Salem's territory before being repelled at the cost of several armies worth of Grimm.
The various methods of increasing his physical and magical abilities that Rin was teaching in her classes were very effective if his results were anything to go by. It was a shame that many of Rin's strengthening methods required the participants to have a decent knowledge of magic and having some level pre-existing magical powers to have any real effect. If other huntsmen and huntresses tried the same methods as him they would only achieve a fraction of what he was currently capable of.
Still, any progress in strengthening Remnant's guardians were good. Every step counted, and if Rin's recent research results into physical and magical enhancement methods then the future seemed very bright for humanity and the faunus.
The sleeping Glynda beside him in the bed started to stir.
"Ozpin, you have been holding back on me," said Glynda while drawing circles on his chest with her index finger. "I never thought you were such a master of the bedroom."
The headmaster laughed. During his immortal life, he had constantly reincarnated and experienced the life of every social class and professions. This included working as male escort several times in fact. If there was anyone that deserved the title of master of the bedroom then it would be him. He had even reincarnated as a female many times so he knew personally what part of the women's body to touch and best ways to create pleasure.
"I'm happy that you enjoyed yourself." He chuckled while kissing Glynda's forehead.
"What kept you holding back all this time?"
"Even when I am supposed to be relaxing, I cannot stop thinking about what to do to ensure humanity's survival. This including when we were enjoying ourselves." Ozpin sighed. "Last night was different. I didn't feel burdened about the future of humanity anymore. The weight of the world has become lighter with each passing day since Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya started teaching at Beacon. And last night for the first time ever, I didn't worry and I wholly focused on you."
Glydna blushed and playfully pushed Ozpin. "I'm sorry that I couldn't help you enough to feel that the world solely rested on you shoulder. If only I was more capable…"
"It's alright." He pecked Glydna on the lips. "I appreciate all the help you have done so far. You still made a huge difference. If I had a less capable confidant then many people would be suffering or dead from the Grimm. More people are happier and alive thanks to your efforts."
She nodded happily. "So are you finally going to talk about what happened before you came to my bedroom? You seemed very angry and you refused to talk about it no matter how much I had asked."
"Qrow punched me in the face." Ozpin replied.
The deputy headmistress gasped. "How could he do such a thing?! Qrow deserves to die!"
Ozpin wrapped his arms around Glydna's waist and pulled her back into the bed despite Glydna trying to got up and murder Qrow.
"Ssshsssh, calm down."
The furious Glydna continually tried to get up but she started to lose steam after Ozpin's pleading.
"Fine, tell me why I shouldn't mur-… I mean beat up Qrow!"
"Qrow punched me after I might have chosen the wrong words at the wrong time." Ozpin replied and he started to describe the situation leading to Qrow punching him in the face.
"Oh, Ozpin… No wonder Qrow got so angry. If I had been in his shoes, I would have done the same thing." Glydna grumbled while shaking her head. "Do you think Qrow will stop working with us, or worse: turn traitor."
"My instincts tell me that it is unlikely to happen." Ozpin sighed then his expression turned serious. "I have made several contingencies plans to ensure that Qrow is captured, and eliminated if there are no other options."
Suddenly, Ozpin and Glydna sensed a presence. They quickly reached for their weapons and their weapons were firmly in their grasp when a window broke.
"Ozpin, I'm going to castrate you!" screamed a familiar voice that Ozpin had thought its owner was dead. "How could you forget to send someone to open the door leading into the Silver-Eyed Warriors Fort?! I was trapped in there for more than a decade! And how could you allow sex to be taught at Beacon. You have corrupted my baby girl!"
