Will was getting the popcorn ready for their movie night and he couldn't get the sparks out of his mind. He knew it was bad to crush so hard on one of his best friends but he couldn't help it. Still he wanted to get Five's mind off of the date he had since he didn't like when Five was in a dour mood. A part of Will wondered if he should wear better pajamas then the worn gray plaid pajama bottoms with the matching top he was wearing. Five wouldn't care and plus he was probably going to put on his dark blue one since they were cozy. Once the popcorn was prepped he got into the living room to set up the space with drinks and some Oreos for some sweetness.

Five soon joined him and sure enough, wore the dark blue pajamas that his mother had gotten him. He smiled as he got settled on the couch. Christine was already in the VCR and Five smirked lightly as he grabbed the popcorn bowl and sat a bit close to Will. His breathing hitched a bit since Five was almost on top of him in a sense in his closeness but Will liked the feeling.

"C-Cozy?" Will asked.

Five nodded as he put on the movie for them.

"Extremely."

Five was taking in the feelings that were coursing in him. This was unlike anything he felt with anyone and he knew this was what attraction had to feel like.

As the movie went on, Five was enjoying it while Will was easily startled by the horror within the film. It was a horror film about a car killing people after all and Will was constantly jumping and holding on to Five's arm. He rested his head on Five's shoulder and nervously ate popcorn during the movie. Five carefully snaked his hand into Will's free hand to comfort him and used his thumb to stroke tiny circles to calm him. Will was thankful it was a bit dark in their living room since he was blushing. Five just made him feel so good and he was a sweetheart while he was just a scared little baby during this film. When one of the bullies was getting crushed in the seats, Five noticed Will was uncomfortable. He knew he was trying but Five didn't want Will to continue to suffer if this wasn't really his thing. Five paused the movie, glancing at Will's soft eyes.

"I know you're trying to put on a brave face Will, but I know you're not into this. It's okay to tell me. You don't have to please me." he expressed as he tried to comfort Will.

He had placed a hand on Will's thigh and gently stroked it, which sent a good shiver down Five's own spine. Okay maybe Five wasn't a straight guy but he could definitely feel the pleasure of touching Will in a soft yet caring way. Meanwhile Will blushed at Five's gentle touch and felt a bit hot from the attention. He was being way too friendly but that gave Will some hope, which caused his eyes to light up and return with a small smile.

"S-Sorry. I'm usually good but tonight…I don't know. Something is just different and I can't really sit down for it." Will admitted, biting his lower lip softly.

That really was turning Five on and he had to control himself, he was taught better after all. However, that didn't stop him wanting to stroke Will's tender lips with his thumb and perhaps see how they would feel against his own. He'd kissed girls but he wondered just how different his kiss with will would be. Five knew he needed to be patient and wait for the right moment.

"It's fine Will. I'm kind of not in the mood anymore for it either. Should we just move on to Back to the Future?" Five asked.

Will nodded and he got up to take the VHS tape out to switch it for Back to the Future. Five saw Will's eyes lit up when the movie started and Five cuddled close to him. Both boys smiled as the movie played out and Will couldn't help but notice how Five was kind of his Marty in a way. His own time traveler who went back in time for love…god that sounded cheesy Will thought with a nervous laugh. In the corner of his eye he could see Five bobbing his head when Power of Love started to play and Marty needed to get to school because he was late.

"I never get tired of the opening. Power of Love is just a very awesome song." Five commented as he tossed a piece of popcorn in his mouth.

"Yeah I can agree, a very good song." Will smiled as the movie went on.

They've seen this movie countless times and perhaps Five could recite the lines by heart. There was always something new to discover or little notes to notice whenever they rewatched it.

"And thanks to Marty, Star Wars and Star Trek won't be a thing in his universe. Star Trek started in the mid sixties and Star Wars was the late 70s. They will instead be elements in George's book. A loss for pop culture but at least George will build up courage to ask Lorriane out." Five commented as he munched on popcorn.

Will chuckled since Five was such a cheeky know it all. How long was Five waiting to comment on that since they have been watching this movie together for years now.

"How long have you been waiting to comment on that Mr. Know it All." Will teased.

"Oh come on, you weren't thinking the same thing? I mean knowing anything about pop culture from the future, one must be careful not to rob it and take it from others. Otherwise, you'd be Biff in the sequel and use knowledge of that knowledge or outcomes to make yourself rich."

"Well you've been responsible…not using what you know to just make it yourself. I mean you could in time and none of us would really know would we?" Will mused.

Five chuckled but Will did have a point. Sure if he knew about stuff that was popular in his time. Nothing was stopping him; he could just take the ideas and become their creator and make fortunes. However Five knew that would be an awful use of his powers and shook his head.

"Nah you know me, too much of a goody two shoes to mess with time more than I already have. Besides, my old man was strict on what we were exposed to. I'm surprised we knew a lot about the superfluous entertainment and media we were able to be exposed to. Guess my siblings and I aren't complete pop culture failures."

"I don't think I've known you to fail at anything." Will complimented and went to get more popcorn.

Five must have been on a similar wavelength since he went to get some more popcorn too and their hands touched. Five had light pink blush on his cheeks and Will noticed it too despite his deep blushing. Both boys were feeling an energy between them and it was getting harder to ignore. Five did have an idea when to make his move and he wanted Will's first kiss to have some meaning.

As the movie went on, both Will and Five were straddling the precarious line between them. Will kept glancing at Five and wondered if any of this was happening. Five was trying to play it cool but deep down he was extremely puzzled and nervous. If he was wrong in his feelings or Will didn't feel the same way, it would ruin their strong friendship. He couldn't help but fear the possible failure from this scenario and that he and Will were only meant to be friends. Despite the signs he was picking up from Will, fear was creeping in his mind and he really didn't want to be the one to ruin their friendship because of his curiosities.

The movie was heading to one of the climaxes, one that Will found heroic and sweet.

"It's this moment, George punching Biff that changes history but also maintains it." Will comments to Five softly.

"Yeah. I mean they loved each other in the original tiny but one can argue it was from pity. Now George had to fight and actually gain his love for Loraine and him being her hero lit the sparks between them to kiss on the dancefloor and fall in love. Beautiful if you think about it. A man gaining confidence because of the person he loves and his love truly loving him for his actions and knows he will be a person to be there for her." Five comments back, just as soft.

Five knew what was coming up in the movie; the Earth Angel sequence. It was crucial part to the movie but it was also going to be the backdrop and soundtrack to his next move. He looked over to Will and motioned his head to look at him. Five's heart was racing, much more than it ever did as he slowly cupped Will's cheeks with his hands. As he comfortably rested his hands there, Will froze at what was happening. This moment often popped up among his dreams but it was actually happening. As the music swelled in the movie for George and Loraine's kiss, Five took this as his cue to lean in and gently place his lips on Wills.

To his hope and surprise, Will's lips were moving as well and were synching up with his motions. The weight on Five and Will's chests lightened as they both took in the kiss and the softness of each other. Five could feel one of Will's hands on his waist and the other resting on his thigh, stroking it like he had to Will's before. There wasn't just sparks, but an inferno coursing in his veins. A soft yet low moan escaped Five's lips as Will continued to lovingly stroke his thigh. Will blushed but he was happy he was the one making Five like this. They were friends but he always felt more and he wanted more. Five playfully nipped his lips, causing Will to respond with his own little moan that was loud. He could feel Five grinning as their kiss deepened but it was a comforting one. They were not ending this night as they were, but with this kiss and both feeling strongly when they did, perhaps this was a great change in their bond. As the song ended both boys pulled away so they could catch their breath. Both were smiling, blushing, and glancing at each other with soft, loving stares.

"Guess we missed the kiss huh?" Five joked.

Will laughed softly and shook his head. Of course Five had to be the wise guy at this point but he could see through Five's façade and can tell he was a little concerned.

"No…it was a wonderful kiss…I-I'm so…whoa Five you were…"

Will blushed since he was speechless. He couldn't imagine Five; a handsome, charismatic, smart, and playful person would want anything more from him but yet he seemed to or at least liked kissing him. Five knew this was all new for Will. He hadn't been on dates, been kissed or anything of the sort before. Five was going to be his first everything and that meant Five needed to make this special. Time was all but changed for Will now and Five was glad he was that difference in time since they both wouldn't be alone.

"You were pretty whoa yourself Will. I mean your lips…so soft, gentle, and very sweet. I was surprised you knew what to do when we kissed, in a good way of course. I'm just so glad I don't have to linger on whether or not you like me…that way?" Five mused, sitting closer and taking Will's hand in his.

"It's felt that way for me too. I was so worried that if I told you about me and how I felt about you; you would hate me and return home. Now I just feel…happy and free that you feel the same."

Five placed his forehead against Will's lovingly and just stared into those deep soft chocolate brown eyes. The power of love is a curious thing and Five knew this had to be love but those words will be for a better time, a time he needed to think of to make it special.

"I told you years ago I am home with you Will. Now that what we have is blossoming into something more, I never want to be without you no matter what." Five professed and kissed Will's forehead.

Five wasn't used to being affectionate or tender but he knew Will loved it. He was sensitive, sweet, and gentle yet wise and understanding when Will needed to be. Will smiled and kissed Five's cheek.

"Good to know what I've been wishing for my last few birthdays has come true. So…are we…like going to be together?" Will asked hopefully.

"Yes but you know Hawkins, a shit town where we will be marked pariahs if we show any affection in public. One of the few god awful things in this town." Five sighed.

Sad to say things would be hard for them in that aspect. What they had couldn't just be deemed a gay romance; in fact Five's interest in guys was probably even lower then women. However people would just see two guys together and labeled them faggots or queers with little understanding. He didn't want Will to undergo that again in the town but he didn't want Will to think he was ashamed either.

"I know. We can do those sorts of things away from everyone's eyes. Plus we could always sneak away somewhere else if you ever wanted to." Will suggested with a rare playful smile.

"Yeah but then we would need to tell your mom if we go out of state and will have questions as to why. I want us to explore each other and this new part of our bond without having to come out to her just yet. Man that is just a weird term that I just said." he chuckled.

Will nodded in agreement. He wanted to gather some courage before coming out to his mom that he loved Five, a guy and that he never liked girls. It was something he didn't want to think about yet and just focused on the tenderness they were having now. He cuddled close to Five as they finished watching the movie, taking moments to steal kisses when they could and finding excuses to graze a hand or cheek. When the movie was over, both boys didn't want to get off the couch. Five glanced at the time on the clock and sighed.

"It's getting late." he murmured.

"I know but we don't want this to end do we?" Will mused.

Five nodded and he could already see small changes in Will. He had a different sort of smile on his face, one of warmth, confidence, and just maybe a hint of…sultriness? That thought sent a shot through Five's body and he pressed his body against Will's softly, nodding in agreement.

"Let's see if maybe we can try another movie. Anything will do since I don't see us paying attention too much." he suggested with a little smirk.

"Did Steve teach you that one?" Will teased and ran fingers in Five's hair.

Five scoffed playfully at that and took the hand that was stroking his hair, kissing it softly.

"He's not a complete dingus when it comes to relationships and dating…but yeah I should be doing things my own way. I really do want us to try another movie though, it just feels nice watching them with you and it has been awhile."

Will smiled at that and they soon put on another movie to watch together, cuddled up close and both of the boys feeling so at peace that they could experience what was bubbling beneath the surface.

Hop had dropped Joyce off back to the house after their date. She couldn't wait for when Hop and her would tie the knot and for him to live with her. When she got in, she noticed the tv was on in the living room. Joyce smiled softly since it meant Five and Will had a movie night., something they hadn't done in a long while. When she got into the living room to check on the boys, they were fast asleep on the couch. This wasn't the first time this had occur and it was a welcome sight to see once again. Joyce did notice however the way they were sleeping was different from the previous times. Will had his arms wrapped around Five's waist almost tenderly and Five's back was pressed against Will's body. Both boys had this serene and almost loving look on their faces as they slept and Joyce couldn't help but smile. She'd had a feeling for awhile Will was a little different but she always wanted the best for him and never wanted him to give up on dreams or love. This of course could still just be two friends that fell asleep on the couch but Joyce wondered if Will had to tell her something. She turned off the tv and got blankets to put over the boys so they wouldn't be cold. Ever since Five came into her son's life, there was a light in his eyes; one she worried that would never return to Will. No matter what path Will was on, she strongly believed Five was not going to be far behind and that brought comfort to her as she left them to sleep soundly together.

Took me long enough but finally the Will and Five ship has sailed. This had to be a crucial scene so I went through several versions on how this was going to go and why this was late. I do hope it was worth the wait and that I did this important moment justice. Reviews help since I do wonder if this story is just too weird or not connecting as well as my other Stranger Things story has. Anyway, there will be more loving moments to come.
