The house Five lived in was very cozy and lovely art hung on the walls. It was neat, well kept, and had very warm colors on the inside. Everyone seemed rather stunned at Five's house and Klaus let out a light whistle.
"Nice digs Five, you are doing well for yourself." Klaus commented.
Five mused at the care since he was expecting maybe some bitterness or perhaps jealously. Klaus cared and the others seemed to as well as they had soft looks for the most part.
"Thanks, I like how this actually feels like a home rather than the museum we all lived in. My darling painted all of these for our home."
"Wow they are really great Five. You're lucky that you have such a warm home to live in." Vanya complimented.
They settled into the living room and Diego noticed a medium sized dog snoozing on the couch. It was a black and brown haired medium sized dog and she perked up when Five sat down beside her. She hopped on his lap and gently licked his cheek.
"Nice dog Five." Diego commented.
" Thanks. This is Ryder. She was a stray but we got her checked by a doctor and adopted her. We have 2 more." Five said nonchalant while petting Ryder.
"Oh as in Winona Ryder, very nice." Allison commented.
Luther looked at Five with a troubled look. He left his family, their team….just to escape and have this quiet life. Selfish Luther thought.
"So you just spent all these years playing house?" Luther commented with a slight glare.
Five glared back since he was still whipped and shaped by the father. He saw what he could have been if he never challenged dad and was thankful he did, stuck in time or not. At least he was happier and Luther kind of looked like shit. He did see slight dark hair peeking from the coat and that saddened Five. His father ruined him Five thought but Luther had no right to judge his choice.
" Don't be so narrow minded Luther. I got to be a part of an actual family before having a house to 'play' in as you are calling it. I spent years with a wonderful family who treated me like a brother and son. They actually talk to each other at meal times and mom wished us good night and supported us. Yes she did scold us when we did dumb stuff but she genuinely cared and wasn't 'programmed'. I love the life I was able to have without our 'dear' dad and I was able to have a life I deserved." Five said with a warm smile.
Vanya glanced around and saw family pictures of Five with a woman and two boys. He looked so happy and an outsider looking in would think Five would have been one of them. She did notice how close Five seemed to be to one of the boys but that must be his best friend. There were no traces of pictures of Five with his wife and wondered if things were okay.
" Is your loved one going to come home soon?" Vanya asked.
"Yea just running errands and some things to do for work. Creative types are very busy." Five said.
Allison nodded but they were here for a reason. This was a reunion 17 years in tube making and she wanted to know the details of his disappearance in time.
"So…what exactly happened when you did the time jump Five. Your letter explained it but we want to hear from you." Allison mentioned.
Before he could answer, Luther felt something tugging on his coat. He looked to see a rather big grayish white dog tugging on his tailcoats. The growling was very protective and Luther didn't like this dog at all.
"Hey!" Luther yelled at the dog.
Five glanced at his pet and nodded.
"Gandalf down, boy, he is not an intruder." Five scolded the dog sternly.
The dog whimpered a bit before letting go and went to Klaus to paw at its leg. Klaus awed at the dog and bent down to pet it. Gandalf licked Klaus' face and made Klaus holler in delight. Diego raised an eyebrow since he understood Ryder's name but not this big dog.
"Gandalf…weird." Diego commented.
Five scoffed as he whistled for Gandalf. He left Klaus and went to Five to get his ear scratched.
" I got into Lord of the Rings with my friends in my late teens and Gandalf was a very cool wizard in the book." Five said, scratching behind the pup's ears.
"Wow you went domestic, how cute." Klaus mused giddily
Five nodded and a third small dog with tawny fur rolled in and greeted Vanya warmly. She smiled and bent down to pet the dog.
"And that is Marty…yeah reference is obvious but my love and I love back to the future and Marty McFly. He's feisty yet sweet." Five shared warmly.
"So three dogs…any children?" Allison asked.
Five sighed and shook his head.
"These are our children in a sense, we can't really have kids in the traditional sense." Five said.
He knew they would be shocked when they meet Will later. Allison recoiled a bit in guilt and a frown formed on her face. She had Claire and was doing all she could to see her again but Five was missing out on fatherhood and that upset her.
"Oh I'm so sorry Five. That was rude." Allison commented.
The family settled down in the living room and Luther wasted no time in asking,
"Do you have any idea how worried we were about you? Dad made us think you were dead all these years. You could have…I don't know, popped in to check in on us couldn't you?" Luther asked.
" Luther, Five explained it in his letter. He got stuck. He couldn't figure out the formula." Vanya defended
" Vanya is right. I did try but I also eventually gave up. I did miss you guys that's why I started writing letters in the first place, but to be honest… there wasn't much I would be coming back to" Five admitted.
Diego scoffed but nodded in agreement.
"Kind of good you got out when you did, even if it was a shock to all of us. Things did go to shit when you left us though. The team kind of died a few years later." Diego informed him. Five sighed and nodded. He then looked around the room and felt his blood running cold. There was only five of them and not six…Ben was missing and he seemed to be the one that would care the most about this meeting.
"Where is Ben?" Five asked.
The mood got quiet and dark as most of Five's siblings could look at each other. Luther cleared his throat and looked at Five with a saddened look.
"There was an incident at one of our missions and…he didn't make it." Luther told him.
Five sniffled at the news since he missed his chance to see Ben. He felt bad that happened and wondered if he could have done something. Then again, his father was always pushing Ben to do some dark and punishing tasks with his powers…it was going to cost him if pushed too far and that did happen in the end.
"Shit. I am sorry. Did dad push him too during the mission?" Five asked in a solemn tone.
"Yeah…he did but only because he blamed all of us for not handling the threats quick or efficiently enough. Piece of shit made Ben use his powers but…"
Diego couldn't finish, as the horrors of what happened to Ben were just that awful even years later reflecting on it.
"Of course he did, that arrogant old bastard. I am sorry, really. I take it that things fell apart after he passed?" Five asked.
"Most of us left the academy when we could…Okay Klaus got thrown out to be fair but…Diego, Vanya, and I left to pursue our interests and get out of that miserable place." Allison shared.
" Nice to know you all got brains and left. Luther, are you still at the academy?" Five questioned.
Luther stroked his arm nervously.
"Just got back recently…"
"From being sent to the moon for god knows how many years. He cast you aside for your failure." Diego scoffed.
"Hey I would be dead without him and he had a purpose for me on the moon!" Luther told him harshly.
" Hate to agree with Diego but he is right. Dad does this a lot. It was a bit of punishment. Vanya...I guessing dad never told you either." Five said.
"Told me what?" Vanya asked in confusion.
Guess not, even after all this time. Not shocking, just frustrating and sad.
"Dad adopted us all because we are all 'extraordinary' and yet you have no powers.. Don't you think that's suspicious?"
Vanya tilted her head and was very confused.
"Maybe dad just got it wrong…I mean he left me out Five, you know that. I'm just…ordinary." Vanya told him.
"Dad doesn't get things wrong, he sought all of us for the sole reason of exploiting our powers, if you were really ordinary you would not be in the academy Vanya in the first place."
"You know, when I was just looking in dad's office there was this red book inside a very pricy gold box. It seemed to be one he used for our early years to jot down our powers and such. I left it on dad's desk since I had no need…I mean because it belonged to dad." Klaus shared.
"Yea I know about that book. I saw dad use it enough. When you go back Vanya, you should look at it. Considering how long you been dormant you probably will need training again for whatever you may be able to do." Five explained
Vanya thought for a moment and she did have a very vague memory of her early childhood…something with glasses and a tuning fork. She glanced at Five and asked,
"What made you think about that?"
"You can thank my loved one for that later. He was the one who found it odd when I told him about all of us and you. Luther, before you attack me, my loved one, he is good person so I had no problem being honest with them."
All their eyes perked at Five's words and did he mistakenly say male pronouns? Their brother…was he truly…he wasn't was he?
"Him?" Diego questioned.
"He?" Allison pondered with widened eyes.
"Yes, his name is Will. He and his family took me in when I landed in 1985. We fell in love in 89 and…well rest is mostly history and we have such a lovely life together." Five said with a warm smile
Most of them were shocked at the news. Klaus meanwhile was beaming at that little fact about his brother. He kind of went both ways hearing Five was part of that community too made him smile.
"Wait…you're…you're gay?" Luther asked.
"Not gay, I don't like men that way. I do love Will romantically, if it was legal we would have been married for a long time." Five defended with a stern look to Luther.
"Aw how sweet and adorable! We have to meet him before we go! Is he hot or is he more on the cuter side?" Klaus asked.
Five chuckled
"Actually he is on the cute side but there are things that are hot to me. It's more of a deep connection thing that made us fall for each other." Five mentioned, twirling a silver ring on his left hand.
"That I did not see coming from you Five. "Diego said
"Uh yeah but um…if you're with him and he's male…doesn't that mean you are gay?" Luther asked again.
" Luther you are dense. Five just explained he only loves Will romantically. He is not attracted to other males and it's the connection he fell in love with. He is demisexual you oaf." Klaus explained.
"What now?" Five questioned, raising an eyebrow at Klaus.
"Yes, do explain." Allison asked.
"Demisexual means Five is only attracted romantically to a person he had already built a bond with emotionally. This Will is only one Five will love and given the trauma of his time jump and issues with our father….yeah I can see how he could fall in love with Will that way, especially if Will and him have lots in common too." Klaus explain making exaggerated hand motions
"That actually sounds very sweet. It makes sense, you must have been so scared when you landed back in time Five. You must have worried about getting home and living in another time…Will was the first person you met in 85 correct?" Vanya asked.
"Yes he did, I landed in a mall in a movie theater in 85. "Back to the Future '' was playing, ironically I know all of the movies I landed when that was playing. Will saw the way I arrived but he was nice to me, he brought me to his home and his mom accepted me. His brother was a bit wary, which I understand. We became friends, best friends and things just progressed from there." Five said. He still remembered that day like it was yesterday
"How precious. You two bonded over the years and fell in love while gaining a bit of a nerdy side." Klaus stated.
" You got a chance to live a better life away from dad and all the stupid missions others went on." Vanya said with soft smile
"Doesn't excuse the fact you don't belong here Five. We needed you." Luther told him.
Ryder was growling at Luther but Five calmed her down, sighing angrily.
"No you didn't, none of you even went after me after I left. I do belong here Luther, I know what must not be done to mess up time and I keeping it." Five said adamantly
"He does have a point. Besides can any of us say our lives are better and not fucked up by some way by our old man?" Diego asked them.
Luther said nothing and tugged on his sleeve, he didn't want to reveal what exactly happened as a side effect of dad saving him. Allison had her career but was divorced and lost custody of her daughter. Diego couldn't make it as a cop and even flunked police academy for his rough ways and teachings from Reggie, reducing him to being an amateur boxer and vigilante. Klaus was a wanderer, drifter, and hooked on drugs. Vanya was living life as a numb zombie, likes her music but feels a huge chunk of her missing. Really Five was the only one who seemed….normal and least damaged.
"So…what do you do, Five?" Allison asked him.
" First I actually have a name like you guys. Kinda had to adapt it since if I go by number then the government may have questions. Second, I'm professor of physics at a prestigious university." Five explained.
"Wait, you actually got a real name?" Vanya asked
"Aidan Quinn is what I go by for the most part. It feels nice to be my own person and not have the Hargreeves last name." Five told them.
"And you got your tattoo removed." Luther pondered, looking at Five's left arm.
"Yea it raised a lot of questions and not just from my friends and family. Plus it's just branding on dad's side. We don't need a tattoo to be a family." Five mused
"Speaking of family Five…we want you to be there for the service for dad." Luther told him.
"Dad finally kicked the bucket.. What killed him, utter disappointment?" Five sassed
"Heart failure. I know, it's ironic for him." Diego answered.
" True. I don't know if I will go to be honest. If I go, I may never get back to Will and I'm not going to risk losing my family for an old man who burnt my letters and treated us all like experiments." Five said curtly
"I don't blame you. We shouldn't all pretend he was this nice guy Luther. Five has every reason to not go." Diego told him.
"He needs to go Diego, we are all doing it and Five…"
"Can you stop Luther? Time is a very complex thing and he's right. Who knows if he can get back to his exact time now, even with our televator. We shouldn't force him." Vanya defended.
"I agree with Vanya and for once, I agree with Diego. Five got away from dad. While it was for dumb reason he has a life and a real family here. Why would he go to our time for a funeral for our dad who didn't really give a shit and kept isolating Vanya. I have a failed marriage and losing custody battle to know that Five should not give up the only good thing in this life." Allison spoke calmly.
Luther sighed since…there was no way Five was going to leave this life. Soon the dogs got up and were waiting at the door, tails wagging and Ryder letting out happy barks.
"What are they doing?" Luther asked.
"Will's home. Ryder is totally Will's lap dog. She follows him more than me." Five chuckled.
The door opened up and the dogs were jumping around.
"Sorry I'm late. The signing was long and the gallery needed my input for something for my show."
" It's okay, no worries. We have company for dinner." Five said getting up to greet Will with a quick kiss.
Will looked at him curiously.
"I thought mom and Hop weren't stopping by until the weekend?" Will asked.
"Oh I don't mean mom, my other family have surprised me with a visit. I hope you don't mind five extra guests for tonight." Five said softly.
Will's eyes widened and he noticed Five's family was there and they all looked to be 30. He knows in this time they would be only 13 and he whispered,
"How did they get here?"
" Dad had a time machine that they only just found out about." Five said.
Vanya smiled and looked at Will. He was a bit taller than Five slim but had some muscle on him. He wore a novelty t-shirt with a brown leather jacket on top, black slacks and sneakers. A silver ring graced his left hand as well, a promise to love Five even if they couldn't marry. He had soft brown eyes, brown hair styled in a loose yet neat way, and a warm expression.
Will slowly walked in with Five to meet Five's brothers and sisters. He was a bit shy since Luther was a hulking mass and Diego had a scar over his eye.
"It's nice to finally be able to meet you. I'm Will Byers and I'm Five's partner." Will told them with a weak smile. Klaus grinned and went up to hug Will.
"Hey I am Klaus, I will be your brother in law eventually. Five did a nice job landing stud like you." Klaus said
Will blushed a bit and he could tell Klaus was very approving of him already. His eyes did look glossy and Will knew it was from drugs. No judgment since he knew what Klaus' powers were.
"I-I'm just lucky Five loves me that way. He's the catch and I love how he treats me." Will shared.
Diego smirked but walked up to Will extending his hand.
" Hey man, nice to meet you. I am Diego, the big guy is Luther. Don't let his size frighten you. He is nicer than he looks… hopefully. These are our tiny one is Vanya and tall actress is Allison" Diego introduced
Will smiled since he was going to have more family perhaps from Five's side.
He noticed Vanya and he could understand why Five once thought he and her were similar. Will walked up to Vanya and gave her a hug.
"Hey Will, nice to meet you. I'm glad Five found you. He seems truly happy" Vanya said with a warm smile
"We're both truly happy. I know he wasn't meant to go back but we've been thankful for it everyday. The day he landed has become a day we celebrate since it's truly changed our lives…even though it meant he's been away from all of you." Will said, pulling back from his hug.
"No worries man, I sure Five er Aiden has told you that our old man was a dick, him landing with you is probably for the best since he is not screwed in head." Diego assured.
Will smiled and looked over to Five.
"I'm going to start dinner. Want me to make anything special?" Will asked with a light yet soft smile.
" No Will it's alright, our dinner is more than enough. Hope you guys will enjoy the dinner. It's homemade, yes I have actually learned how to cook, though it took a bit of time." Five stated.
Will chuckled a bit and went over to kiss his lips softly.
"See you in a bit to help make the pasta." Will said and he excused himself into the kitchen to start cooking.
Five did glance a bit at Will's back and ass as he walked into the kitchen and truly was amazed himself he had such a loving partner.
" Wow you are actually a normal guy, powers aside." Allison said with a chuckle
Five rolled his eyes at her and shared,
"Kind of had to be since Hawkins had weird shit going on and I could have been in deep shit otherwise. It was harder to be out with Will on dates because of how small minded people could be."
"So you moved away to have more freedom." Vanya said
Five nodded and he glanced at his family. They all seemed to have had it rough he thought and he kind of felt bad.
"We still see Mom and our step dad a lot though, as well as all of our friends and Will's brother, his wife, and their kids. They all know about Will and I and they are open and accepting." Five shared.
"Mom?" Diego asked, feeling a slight sting of betrayal from Five saying that since they had a mom.
"Yea my mom Joyce Byers. She married Hawkins chief of police Jim Hopper many years ago. We have a step sister too and she's the sweetest and most gentle woman I've met." Five spoke sweetly.
"That's good to know. Maybe if we do this again, we could meet them." Vanya suggests.
"Not likely. The time machine wasn't really meant for this and we only came here for Five Vanya." Luther expressed, a bit bitter and slightly frustrated.
" It's a shame, I would like to see you again. And I think mom would like to meet you all too." Five sighed.
Diego glared at Luther since maybe he needs to see just how happy Five is and enjoy a nice meal. He hoped Luther wouldn't be like their father.
Dinner consisted of fresh pasta, roast chicken with heirloom roast tomatoes, green beans, and some spinach. Everyone sat down at the table and was eating. Five's family was quiet and Will understood then why Five loved their family dinners.
"So…what do you do Will?" Vanya asked.
"I'm an artist but I am also a well known fantasy author and comic book writer. My fan base is supportive and it's great I have careers in what I love." Will shared with a light smile.
"That's amazing, Will. What are you comics about?" Vanya asked
"Usually fantasy based adventures. One of my more popular ones is about a rogue and wizard who journey the mystical realm of Fargasia together." Will shared, faint blush on his cheeks and eying Five softly.
" That's one of your best sellers." Five mused and gave Will some salad
"Oh and why's that?" Allison asked curiously.
"It's inspired by how Will and I met, plus the way he draws and it has a compelling storyline makes for hell of a read for a person of any age." Five compliments.
Will smiled at that and glanced over to the family. He looked at Luther and he was still looking rather uncomfortable.
"Everything alright?" Will asked.
"Huh…oh yeah fine…food's um…good." Luther answered shortly.
"Luther, don't be an ass like dad. Five and Will are trying to be nice to you." Diego scolded
"It's not that it's just…last time we saw Five he was a cocky arrogant asshole and now…well look." he motioned.
Will and Five were holding hands from opposite ends of the table as they ate with soft expressions in their eyes. He was pretty sure they were playing footsie under the table and maybe even trying to get the other turned on for later he shuddered.
"So what? He is happy big guy. He found love and actually stopped being an asshole for most part." Klaus said as he ate
Will chuckled lightly.
"Sometimes Five can still be snarky. Whenever all of the guys can come together for a D&D game, Five is a wonderful if playful dungeon master." Will commented.
"Yeah, Mike still hates me for his last character dying. Not my fault, just shit luck." Five chuckled as he ate his pasta.
"D&D? What the hell is that?" Luther asked
"Dungeons and Dragons, a role playing tabletop game. Five got into it when he landed and we usually make the best campaigns together." Will explained.
"Ah right that sort of game. Didn't think Five would be a fantasy fan; usually he liked science and math." Diego commented.
"Well dungeons and dragons is a nice break plus it has some math aspect to it." Five explained.
Five and Will shared their lives together and it got the family thinking about Will's life and family.
"What's your dad like Will?" Vanya asked softly.
"Biological, a really not nice guy and was disappointed in me. Hated my art and that I wasn't a real 'boy' as he would repeat constantly. My step dad is amazing, if a bit stern at times." Will answered.
"Our dad wasn't even related to any of us by blood, and he was a dick.. Sorry Will." Diego expressed
"It's fine…Five told me while we were cooking. Still sorry for the loss." Will commented.
"He's probably playing tennis with Hitler. Don't worry, most of us don't miss the bastard." Klaus shared, munching into the bread.
"This is so good. Best food I've had in months." Klaus shared as he stuffed his face.
" You guys made all this. It's amazing." Vanya complimented and ate
"Thanks. We got a bit inspired to do a lot more home cooking from traveling to different countries. I'm truly thankful for Five and what we're able to do together." Will smiled.
Luther glanced at the pair and he sighed a bit.
"How much did you change Five?"
" I changed a lot, I guess, but I am happy Luther, can you ever say you been truly happy in your life so far?" Five asked a bit annoyed.
"It's not that it's just…well Will's comics don't exist in the time we all came from for all we know right? Also who knows what you being here all this time did?" Luther shared.
"So what? It just means two different times happened." Diego expressed.
"Yeah, exactly Diego. With Five going back in time, who knows what he's done to change things. That's also why dad was against him learning time travel. It's dangerous." Luther expressed firmly.
"STOP being such a hypocrite Luther!" Vanya exclaimed louder than her usual tone. It startled everyone since she was normally docile.
"Vanya, this may be hard for you to hear but I have to be sure nothing bad happened with Five being gone so long." Luther said, staring her down. Vanya didn't shy away for once.
"Nothing bad happened. Five is not stupid, yes he ended up in the past because of his mistake, but look at the life he built. He found a family, a real family that loves him. He got to grow up not being influenced by dad's stupid and ridiculous regimes like everyone else, he got to live a life his way on his terms. You wanted to be a family after dad died but now you want to take away Five's family and then say that we can still be a family. That's such bullshit Luther. Family means accepting everything that comes with it. Five has Will and they love each other. You want to be family, you will have to accept it or at least deal with it." Vanya expressed assertively
Luther sighed and looked at Will. He didn't do anything and it wasn't his fault for all the terrible shit. Five fell in love and to be fair, Will did make a difference for the better for his brother.
"I'm sorry, it's just dad always said time was very complex. I didn't mean for you to take it that you being with our brother is a mistake." Luther explained.
"Every choice we make creates a different timeline where another choice was made, I made sure not to interfere with any major things." Five explained.
"The only big thing that could have changed was…well you and Will being together in the first place." Allison mentioned, looking at Will with a soft expression.
Sure it was strange her brother seemed to be in awe with Will, but then again last they all saw each other was when they were 13 and he seemed uninterested in love at all back then.
"Love changes things, besides not everyone as a child wants romantic relationships. I didn't want love but I guess things change." Five mused.
"You guys are so sweet, be sure to invite me to your wedding." Klaus mused
"Wedding?" Five and Will questioned at the same time.
They had talked about it but it wasn't an option for them. Five would more than love to marry Will and perhaps take his name in marriage as the ultimate sign of love.
" Oh yeah it's not legal yet.. Don't worry, just hang on for a decade or so and you can legally marry each other." Klaus said happily.
Will beamed happily and stroked Five's hand.
"You hear that Five, we will be able to marry in our lifetime." Will expressed happily with tears of joy almost escaping his eyes.
"That is great Will, not soon enough though, small minded people." Five chuckled
"We can have all these years to plan it though, now that we know it will be a thing. Mom will be so happy about this." Will shared.
Vanya looked to her siblings, most of them nodded.
"I think we know what will be best here, right?" Vanya asked her other siblings.
"Yea, Five stay here, you're the only one who has happiness. don't let go of that, just don't mess up too much time okay?" Diego said
"Dad's rolling in his grave but we're all glad you're safe. We always wondered what happened to you and now I see only the best of things." Allison shared.
"We can even see that Five did grow up all hot and landed himself a wonderful man. So grown up." Klaus said with a playful smirk.
"EEw Klaus, that's weird." Vanya said cringing
"Hey at least I'm behaving and not asking in detail about his sex life…although I do have some questions.." Klaus defended.
"Please don't or I will throw this knife at your groin." Diego expressed with a stern gaze.
"Diego, no knives at the table.. Mom wouldn't be amused and horrified if she saw this." Five chuckled
"No she really wouldn't but I doubt Diego would actually do that." Will chuckled.
"Oh don't have too much faith." Allison answered Will.
Diego scoffed and shook his head.
"You really did well Five…we're proud of you man, even if it had to be away from us." Diego told him.
" I do miss you guys. You are probably the only ones I do miss. Shame dad burnt the letters though I was not surprised. Can you really never come back again?" Five expressed
Diego shoved Luther in the ribs.
"If you say no, you're going to be dead to all of us." Diego stressed in a low growl.
Luther sighed and put his hands together, looking at Five and Will. Five wasn't going to go back, not even for their dad's memorial. He couldn't blame him but it was an odd feeling.
"I mean…would you want us butting in your life and maybe freaking your new family out. We're not normal Five, never had been." Luther expressed.
" I have a family that's more accepting than you think. Plus I tell them about you and I think they would want to meet you one day"
Luther looked to his other siblings and was going to leave it up to them.
"Thoughts?" he simply asked.
" I think Five is happy, he should be where he feels at home." Allison mused
"Yea I want to see what kind of life Five will have going forward." Vanya said with a warm smile
"Yeah big guy, I do think we should still be a family, only we will have to travel. Besides, I kind of want to see how Five is with his new family and see what makes them so special." Diego told them.
Luther looked to Klaus and asked him,
"And what about you?"
"Hell yea Five should stay with Will plus I want to go to their wedding in a decade or two." Klaus mused.
"You guys are welcome to come, if you want." Will said with a warm smile.
"Of course we are coming. You'd be a better brother in law than Allison's ex and I think we should come to more than just weddings." Klaus smiled.
"We will have to see what powers the televator and be extra careful when we make trips. It's not like we can pop in every weekend and we all don't live at the academy anymore." Luther expressed.
" Come when you can. I'm glad to see you guys, sorry life was shit for you." Five expressed.
"It was what it was, but we will be a family; a better one going forward and in some cases back." Vanya smiled.
Dinner finished up and it was almost time for the family to go back to their own time. Five got everyone's addresses so he could write letters for all of them and to keep in touch. Knowing they all moved out was a good thing but sad in a way. Life wasn't kind to them but they can still be a family now that Reggie died.
Will got a big hug from Klaus and Will hugged him back in support.
"It was good to see you Klaus. I do hope you get better." Will told him.
"Yea when the ghosts stop bugging me I just might." Klaus giggled
"If you're showing up Klaus, show up sober!" Five warned with a serious look but light chuckle.
"Fine, I will try. I want to be able to fully enjoy your wedding in the future." Klaus said.
Will moved on to Vanya and gave her a hug too.
"If I am right, your dad was truly awful to keep you away and make your powers so dormant. You didn't deserve that." Will told her.
He felt a kinship to Vanya and Will hoped they would see each other real soon.
"Thanks… I guess when we come back I have to find out exactly what kind of abilities I have and why dad hid them." Vanya expressed. She then went to hug Five.
" I'm glad you're doing great Five, please be safe."
"I will Vanya, I will. I'm the safest with Will and happy too."
Diego looked at Will and patted his shoulder.
"Be sure to keep Five where he's at. He's a much better person and I know it's because of you and your family." Diego told him.
"Thanks, I know it's messed up but I'm kinda glad he was your brother. If your dad didn't adopt Five we may not have met and had a great life otherwise."
Luther looked at Five and he couldn't help but feel really mixed. He did not expect everything he's heard and seen. While his 'mission' to get him home was a failure, he was still happy to see his brother again.
"So um….take care Five. Keep time in check and uh…I hope you and Will remain together. He's different but also very kind." Luther told him.
"Thanks Luther, sorry about what dad did to you." Five said.
"What do you mean?" Luther asked in a hush tone.
" I'm not stupid Luther, that coat isn't hiding anything. Shit dad ruined you." Five somberly spoke.
Luther sighed and nodded.
"You really think he ever cared about me and that I stayed all those years?"
" Luther you know the answer to that, but no if he didn't give a damn that I never came back I highly doubt he cared about you."Five said
Luther just nodded and patted Five's shoulder.
"Alright, time to go." Luther exclaimed and he made his way out of the house.
"Take care guys, see you again." Five hoped.
"Oh you will Five. You haven't seen the last of us, might take some time but we will be back." Klaus mused.
His siblings left their house and Will can tell something was on Five's mind.
"I know you didn't think this day was coming…how are you feeling?" Will asked, wrapping his arms around Five's waist.
"Honestly a mix of things. I am happy to see them even if life was shit for them. I'm sad I never got to see my other brother Ben. He would have been here but he died on a mission gone wrong when I was away… dad's dead too but I don't really feel sadness especially since Luther said he had been burning the letters I sent to them." Five expressed.
"I know, that was very upsetting to hear. How can a father…wait never mind I can imagine yours doing that but it's still cruel. At least one letter got to them and they got to see what you became. They don't seem mad, but relieved you're alive and well."
" I'm glad I got to see them. I missed them. I hope Vanya can find a way to train whatever ability she may have. They need to work on being a family…Seems they drifted after Ben died."
Will nodded and looked softly in Five's eyes.
"I'm glad I got to meet them…they seem to like me even though I'm probably the last thing they expected." Will mused.
"They do like you. Luther may just take a while to come around, nothing personal. He has just been admiring dad since we were kids and believes dad has real reasons for everything." Five explained
"True, but at least he's not as…overbearing like he was when he was younger right?"
" That's a tricky question Will but he needs time, they all do."
Will nodded and pecked Five's lips, bringing his body closer to his. His heart was fluttering at the good news they heard and was grinding a bit into him softly.
"Is your mind a bit fuzzy and warm with what Klaus said, you know about us being able to marry someday?" Will warmly spoke while stroking Five's hips.
Five grinned lightly at Will's touch and they've gotten passionate over the years. He was thrilled at the news since it was something they both wanted since getting together.
"Klaus shouldn't have spoiled that but at least it gives us time to plan and think. Mom will be happy about that day." Five muses.
"Extremely happy."
Will kissed Five tenderly for several sweet moments. He pulled away and smiled lightly.
"Let's walk the dogs and then enjoy the cinnamon rolls I made before we have a very loving evening." Will mused, continuing his tender strokes.
" Let's go for that walk, I need some fresh air before the night ends. Plus the dogs love our evening walks and will pester us soon if we don't."
Five looked gently at the man before him. He couldn't believe just how blessed he was and how one person can truly change a life for good. Will was that person and he loved him with all his being.
" I'm glad you met them Will."
"Same and I am glad I got to meet you and that I get to love you all these years and many more to come. I love you Five."
" I love you too, Will" Five said with a soft kiss. They walked their dogs and Five got to feel a bit clearer about everything. He did hope He would see them again at some point. After the evening ended they enjoyed cinnamon rolls and a good movie before going to bed, dreaming peacefully about their future and the wedding that will come to be.
