Kuroumaru's Troubling Feelings and Body Truth
It has been a week since the battle against the Immortal Hunters, and somewhat making friends with the werewolf to Touta believing he made a strong impact, and the UQ agents are doing their own things such as working at the hot spring resort.
Speaking of the UQ agents, Kuroumaru is walking in some part of the resort while carrying his own sword doing some thinking about something or perhaps someone that's been on his mind.
"I sure hope Touta doesn't mind if we could spare together." Kuroumaru smiled a little.
"He was amazing with that new power of his, combining the power of a demon and the Magia Erebea. He looked really handsome despite having a scary form." Kuroumaru giggled.
But then his eyes widen of shock from realizing what he just said out loud.
"Hold on, why the Hell did I say he's handsome like that! It's not like I'm in love with him or anything because it's not!" Kuroumaru proclaimed, trying to tell himself that.
"And besides, I'm male. Well, I'm going to become male and yet… Why do I feel bad about that decision now?" Kuroumaru asked.
"Maybe it's because you wouldn't be closer to Touta if you become male." Jinbei guessed.
"I don't see how that's a problem, we're friends." Kuroumaru said.
But then he jumps in surprise to see the Jinbei has been standing right next to him this entire time.
"Yo." Jinei greeted with a peace sign.
"Ji-Jinbei, what are you doing here and… how much have you heard?" Kuroumaru asked nervously.
"Well, I was walking by after doing some inventory inspection and heard you about how you suddenly thought Touta was handsome." Jinbei answered, trying to remember that right.
"So, almost everything!" Kuroumaru gasped with his face turning red.
"You know, I don't see the problem with men loving each other. I've been people in the same gender going on relationships like gays and lesbians, still happening even now." Jinbei mentioned.
"Were you like that as well?" Kuroumaru asked.
"Nah, I don't swing that way, but I heard there are some who can swing both ways. I think they're called… biosex or something like that." Jinbei tried to remember.
"Is there a point you're trying to tell me?" Kuroumaru asked as she wants to get out of this conversation right now.
"How about you just be really honest with yourself." Jinbei said.
"I already know your genderless until a certain age, you say you want to be a male by that time, but it looks like your heart is saying something else." Jinbei stated.
"My heart?" Kuroumaru confused with a hand on the spot where his heart is.
"I can't say for sure, but it looks to me you're struggling with the decision you thought you made up your mind." Jinbei leaned a little closer to his face.
"And if you ask me… I say you're better off becoming a girl for Touta." Jinbei shared his opinion.
"Wh-What… me, a girl?" Kuroumaru shocked.
"Yeah, you and Touta would totally hit it off as a couple and the best part is he's okay with having other girls, but I don't think I need to tell you that." Jinbei grinned.
"Y-Yeah, Touta might've mentioned about getting a, a, a harem…" Kuroumaru blushed of having to remember the idea.
"Then I think you should think about it too because you'll be more female than male." Jinbei believed.
"What?!" Kuroumaru shocked to hear this from this man.
"Oh yeah, I can tell that vampire-devil is really going to enjoy having a girl like you." Jinbei smirked.
"D… Don't be ridiculous!" Kuroumaru embarrassed and suddenly threw a punch to Jinbei's stomach.
"Me and Touta together? There's no way that can happen, it just… YOU JERK?!" Kuroumaru uppercut Jinbei away and ran away, leaving the Number 2 UQ Holder on the ground.
"Sheesh, that little one sure gets fluster like crazy. Definitely one of the tomboy types." Jinbei chuckled.
"Not to mention she packs quite a punch." Jinbei rubbed the spot on his stomach where she punched him.
Kuroumaru has ran away to one edge of the resort panting from having to run so hard and just realizing that he punched her superior out of the blue like that.
"I hope Mister Jinbei isn't mad at me." Kuroumaru said to himself.
"Damn it, why am I feeling so fluster from just hearing about Touta?" Kuroumaru asked himself.
When he looks down, he spotted Touta just arriving to Shinobu with her hover-motorcycle as he brought the toolbox showing that she asks him to help with her ride but seeing this also made him feel a bit jealous that Touta is spending time Shinobu than him.
"Touta…" Kuroumaru muttered to herself and saw the two ride on the hoverbike flying over the ocean.
Touta and Shinobu are now riding on the hover bike together as they are going superfast.
"Wow! Did you really make this bike all on your own, it's amazing!" Touta amazed.
"I didn't really make it, I just found parts on the scrapheap, and I thought about putting it together." Shinobu explained.
"Are you for Hell serious? That is still awesome! Not just anyone can do that sort of thing!" Touta complimented.
"Do you really think so, Touta?" Shinobu asked blushing from the nice words.
"I mean it, you're one amazing girl and way better than being a maid at a resort." Touta believed.
Shinobu blushes a little more of hearing more of those sweet words from Touta that she thrust the hoverbike to go faster which is enjoyable to the vampire-devil boy, and they came back to the shore a few minutes later.
"I'm honestly surprise, Shinobu. You got some serious engineering skills, like you were born to be one." Touta commented.
"It just I have this dream; I want to build my own machine from scratch so I can enter it and be part of the Silver Race someday." Shinobu revealed her big dream to Touta.
"Oh, I remember hearing about that. It's the event that is held every few years." Touta remembered hearing about that race.
"Seriously, you want to enter into that race?" Touta asked surprise.
"Yes! It's the whole reason why I came to the city. It's still just a distance dream, but one day, I would like to do it." Shinobu said.
"That's a great dream and with an attitude like that, that makes it all worth dreaming about! I'm gonna be cheering you on the whole way!" Touta promised with a smile.
"That so kind of you, Touta." Shinobu blushed smiling.
"I'm saying it because it's true, you're really amazing." Touta believed strongly.
"And here, a little good luck for you reaching your dream." Touta leaned in and kiss Shinobu on the forehead making her blush some more.
Kuroumaru is now feeling he has been left out of something cool upon seeing Touta kissing Shinobu on the forehead, and just walk away while his heart is feeling slow like it's sad or something.
(Touta and Kuroumaru's Room, Shower)
Kuroumaru decided to take a little shower in the hopes to clear his mind from what he has been feeling and from what he saw of Touta and Shinobu, but it looks like he is still thinking about Touta.
"(What's wrong with me? Why is my heart will bubbly like this?)" Kuroumaru thought asked himself.
Then he starts to remember the talk he had with Jinbei earlier.
"(It's still a surprise that Jinbei knows about me being genderless for the time, guess he must've met my family in the past.)" Kuroumaru thought wondered.
"(But… could what he said really be what I want the most?)" Kuromaru thought asked as he turns off the water.
Just when he finishes showering and exit out drying himself with a towel, Karin comes in for an urgent matter.
"Kuroumaru Tokisaka, I have a job for you." Karin said.
This caught Kuroumaru by surprise to see that Karin has suddenly come in without knocking first and notice her staring at his body, and slightly looking down that Kuroumaru is mostly naked with the towel only covering his front side.
"Ah! Miss Karin, did you just… did you see… Oh my gosh! What a day." Kuroumaru embarrassed of being expose like this.
"I saw nothing. Or rather, I saw nothing there." Karin said causing Kuroumaru to gasp knowing what she meant.
"Kuroumaru, you're really" Karin was about to say he's really a girl, but Kuroumaru hurry up to her face to keep her quiet.
"Miss Karin, you see, I…" Kuroumaru tried to bring out the explanation but feels too embarrassed and personal to reveal this.
"This is going to be a big problem. We cannot have girls and boys in the same room, not even me despite being one of his girlfriends." Karin stated the rules of the dorm.
"Oh, have you" Karin was about to ask one certain question, Kuroumaru cuts her off again.
"But that's not the case, I'm not really a girl at all!" Kuroumaru said clearly despite his blushing face.
"But your body says otherwise." Karin pointed out.
Seeing there is no way around this, Kuroumaru knew she would have to tell her the truth about himself to her and hope she will understand this.
"Let me explain, but please keep this whole secret from Touta." Kuroumaru pleaded.
Karin just gave a slight nod seeing that this must be really sensitive for Kuroumaru to talk about, and for something to not let Touta know about as well.
Kuroumaru and Karin went outside to have their private conversation as Kuroumaru mentally ready himself for this.
"While I am a demihuman, a member of a clan called the Yatagarasu, we have a rare trait distinct from other demihumas. We remain genderless until we reach adulthood." Kuroumaru revealed the truth of his body.
"Genderless? So, you are considered neither male nor female." Karin said, a little surprise.
"Exactly, we have a ceremony in order to choose. It's held on our sixteenth birthday." Kuroumaru mentioned.
"I see, I have heard of such things before, but this is my first encounter." Karin recalled few rumors she once heard about some people being genderless.
Upon hearing all this from the new member and the situation he is in, she can tell that Kuroumaru may have decided to become a male on his sixteenth birthday, but it looks like there is something else going on within the gender immortal about his decision.
"Well then, which side will you choose, Kuroumaru?" Karin asked.
At the same time when she asked that question, she brings out her sword and attacking Kuroumaru almost instantly which he quickly reacted of blocking the attack with his own sword.
"Wait, Miss Karin!" Kuroumaru freaked out of Karin suddenly attacking him like this.
"If you are this concern, if you have not really decided than what you claim you have then you'll never get anywhere in life. Not even where Touta might go in the future." Karin lectured.
Karin charges forward and picking up her sword that she threw on the first attack against Kuroumaru and swing down against Kuroumaru's defense.
"If it were up to me, I say you should go female because Touta says you would be awesome as a girl." Karin said.
"What? Touta really said that?" Kuroumaru shocked and blushing a little.
"Yes, he mentioned that you're a great friend though that's because he still thinks you're a male, but he also said about feeling more connected to you in some ways like seeing a girl in you." Karin explained.
"Why the heck would he say that?" Kuroumaru asked, feeling embarrassed just hearing this.
"I don't entirely know myself; you will have to ask him yourself." Karin said as he brought out her famous hammer and strikes at Kuroumaru.
"But I bet you can't because you would get fluster and feel weird from the heart if you were to ask him such a thing." Karin pointed out as she forces Kuroumaru backward a few feet.
"No, I… It just…" Kuroumaru tried to talk back but couldn't find the words to do so.
"Just admit it, you're in love with Kuroumaru as I have even though I'm still getting use to sharing him with Lady Yukihime." Karin admitted herself.
"No, I'm not in love with… Touta is my best friend!" Kuroumaru proclaimed, yet she felt hurt in the heart for some reason.
"LIAR!" Karin shouted as she smack her hammer onto Kuroumaru's sword so hard that it went flying and stab on the ground.
Kuroumaru fell on his butt in defeat and Karin pointing her sword at his face.
"Look, just save both of us the trouble and become a female to confess your love to Touta." Karin sighed as she looks away a bit with her cheeks blushing.
"Truth be told, I've started to feel a little more love for Touta the longer I'm with him. Guess he has that devil charm to bring that out of me." Karin said putting away her hammer and sword.
"(The only problem is the God punishment, I haven't let Touta kiss me on the lips since that night because I don't want him to get hurt again.)" Karin thought worried as she has only been letting him give her a quick peek on the cheek.
"But…" Kuroumaru hesitated on what to do with her life, with her heart being so distorted on the important decision of her life.
"Hey! I think I might be able to help with your problem!" Ikkuu called out from the third-floor fence getting the girls' attention.
Ikkuu jumps off and pop out some rocket thrusters from both feet and arms to slow down his descant to the ground.
"It would seem we had an eavesdropper this entire time." Karin realized, now feeling really embarrassed on the inside.
"What, Ikkuu? Why are you… How did long were…?" Kuroumaru feared this man may have heard everything.
"Oh, I guess the genderless part." Ikkuu answered.
"But that's pretty much everything there is, right?" Kuroumaru gasped.
"Don't worry about it, my lips are sealed on your little secret." Ikkuu assured he won't say anything about this.
"And besides, I have a plan to help out our trouble Kuroumaru here." Ikkuu said.
This got Kuroumaru curious of wanting to see what the cyborg immortal has plan to help him on his decision-making problem.
(Later, with Touta)
"I wonder where Kuroumaru is, I haven't seen him since this morning when we had breakfast." Touta said while dusting a little glass cat statue.
Then the wind blew over on the windchime and he suddenly felt a presence close by, right at the front door as he looks over seeing a young girl seems to be about his age with long blonde hair and wearing a white dress with blue ribbons and a matching hat.
"Sorry, excuse me." The girl lifted her hat showing her pretty face that looks very like Kuroumaru in a way, almost like a double or something.
"(Whoa, a cutie just came in.)" Touta thought surprised.
"Do you happen to be Touta?" The blonde girl asked.
"(A cutie even knows my name, now that is something to behold!)" Touta thought smirked with his cheek faintly blushing.
"Why, yes I am, Touta Konoe is the name." Touta introduced himself as he walks up to the new girl.
"Is this your first time here?" Touta asked.
"Yes, I just arrived from the boat, and I heard this is a good place to relax." The blonde girl answered with a nod.
"Well, you certainly come to the right place. Bet you were hoping to find a dashing, handsome devil to make your day feel extra special." Touta flirted a bit with his arms crossing.
"Well, my cousin did say I would find you claiming to have a certain charm when I come here." The blonde girl giggled.
"Your cousin? Come to think of it, you do remind me of someone." Touta noticed the resemblance between this girl and Kuroumaru.
"I sure hope so, my cousin is Kuroumaru." The blonde girl revealed.
"No way, I thought you might've been his twin or something." Touta surprised.
"(Well, I am something, Touta.)" Kuroumaru thought nervously, reveal to be the UQ Holder Number 11 disguising himself a girl.

Kuroumaru's truth about some of his past and his body has been revealed to Karin along with Ikkuu who happens to be listening to the conversation, and it looks like the Number 11 of UQ Holder now dons yellow hair for something with Touta.
