We start in the day camp, where we see Sunil looking through his magic book while Vinnie is watching him practice.

Sunil: "(looks through book) Yes. That looks very good. (sees apple) Okay then: 'From this book, with all I've seen, change this apple from red to green'. (apple changes color) Oh, it worked! It worked!"

Vinnie: "Good job buddy. Now, I can eat lunch."

Sunil: "Here you go my friend."

Vinnie: "Thank you. (eats apple) That's tasty. It's too bad everyone else is with their owners out of town for their class reunion, so they couldn't see this trick. (sees Blythe coming in while talking to herself) Hey Sunil. Blythe's coming in. Let's see what she's doing."

Sunil: "Good idea. (they run up to Blythe) Hello Blythe. What are you saying?"

Blythe: " Well, we all have to do a report on an animal, so Youngmee and I chose bats. But, since all the bat books have been checked out of the library, I figured it would be best to learn more about bats if we actually go to their natural habitat. So, how about we check out the caves in the woods? I already told my dad, and he said yes."

Vinnie: "We're going back to the woods? But, that's where the Bigfoot live. "

Blythe: "Vinnie. Only Mushroom, the little Bigfoot lives there. She won't hurt us."

Sunil: "But, what if run into vampire bats?"

Blythe: "Sunil, you fought vampire fruit bats on Mount Ponymore in the Everfree Forest. How could regular bats scare you?"

Sunil: "Well, it was to turn Russell back to normal, and the bats weren't going to eat us. Here, we're just nonchalantly going into a cave, where the bats could bite us, and turn us into vampires."

Blythe: "That's silly talk. We're in Downtown City. There are no vampire bats in our caves. But, if it makes you feel any better, you guys can hold onto me while we're in the cave."

Sunil: "Oh, thank you Blythe. You are so kind to us."

Blythe: "No problem, Sunil. Well, let's get going."

So, Blythe, Sunil, Vinnie, and Roger prepare all the things they need to go spelunking.
