The peace didn't last too long for the newly formed family. Well, in Bobby's mind that was. At the moment he was glaring at the dark alpha across from him.
"No."
The new alpha raised a brow. "No?"
"That's what I said." Bobby knew he was being stubborn, but that was his pup.
Emilian cleared his throat, leaning into his alpha. "Bobby, you ca-"
"This is only a courtesy." The new alpha growled. "You don't have a say in this."
"He is my pup!" Bobby snapped.
"And he's my mate!" The other snarled.
"I don't give a crap, you are not taking him!" Jumping up he growled down at the alpha.
The other stayed seated, clearly not fazed by Bobby's attempt to intimidate him. "I understand you are new to all of this. So, I won't take any offense to your attitude towards me." Looking over at Emilian, he flashed his eyes as a warning. "He belongs by my side, unless he himself rejects me."
"Bobby." Emilian grabbed the alpha's shoulder, pulling him back into his seat. "You can't keep them apart. It will only cause pain to both of them. Spencer being what he is, will suffer ten times the amount we would."
Bobby clicked his teeth, storming out of the living room. Walking out to the back yard he ruffed his hair and exhaled. This was not how their morning run was supposed to go. He should have just stayed in.
Flashback:
Bobby dodged the weak attempt Spencer made to tackle him. They had decided to go on a run that morning. A good way to get all that extra energy Spencer had in him. Running alongside the river that ran deep in the forest, Spencer leaped to the other side. Picking up his speed he tried beating Bobby in their solo race.
Emilian trotted with the others rolling his eyes at the antics of two wolves ahead of them. Leading the pack through a shortcut, they got to the clearing before Bobby and Spencer.
'Emilian you smell that?' David stopped beside the beta wolf, his nose raised towards the sky. 'I don't recognize it, but it's an alpha.'
Raising his nose upwards, Emilian took a deep whiff. 'It's an alpha alright.' Whoever it was, their scent was like nectar to them. It was warm and welcoming, but the longer he inhaled it, Emilian sensed something dangerous as well. The number of pheromones the alpha was releasing could only suggest one thing. 'It's after its mate.' That made this whole situation ever more dangerous for them. 'Find Bobby and Spencer, best we stray clear of him. By the scent alone, I doubt we'd be able to hold him off.'
'Hold who off?' Bobby approached them from behind, Spencer prancing a few feet behind him. 'What's going on?'
'There is an-'
'Emilian.' David gestured to the large solid black wolf breaking past the tree lines.
The wolf remained still for a moment. His eyes looking at each wolf, while his nose looked for that scent that drove him here. He picked up the scents of the alpha, beta, and delta wolves. Taking a step forward, he kept his head up high allowing his scent to expand even more. He froze the moment he saw a young wolf pop its head from behind the alpha. Sitting down he allowed the omega to approach him.
Spencer took one whiff of the air and broke from the ranks. Running towards the alpha wolf, he paused a few feet in front of him. 'Hi!' The smell waving off him was mouthwatering. 'I'm Spencer.'
The alpha remained still, his eyes never leaving Spencer. 'Aaron.'
'Aaron, I like it.'
Making a move toward Spencer, Aaron circled around him a few times. With a slight nudge, he knocked him down to his side. Not missing a beat, Spencer bared his neck to the alpha. His tail wagged uncontrollably as the unknown alpha muzzled into his presented neck. Aaron's growls got louder the longer he continued to scent mark his mate. No longer holding back he bit down on Spencer's neck. The young wolf yelped, fighting the claim for only a second. At feeling electricity run through his body and back up to the now mark on his neck, he howled out.
Aaron was just pulling away to admire his bite when he was tackled off Spencer. Rolling to his side he bared his teeth at the intruding Alpha. 'You must be the new alpha everyone is talking about.' Behind him, a few wolves stepped out to flank their leader.
Emilian narrowed his eyes at the alpha and its pack. Something about him was vaguely familiar.
Flashback:
Walking behind his alpha in silence he was still unaware of where they were going. Erick had woken him up from his sleep and ordered him to come along. He took notice of the fact that it was only him and David. He learned long ago not to pester his alpha repeated questions and just went along with it. To his surprise, they crossed the river that worked as a border between their territory and another pack.
"Erick?" David was the first to speak up. "Where the hell are you taking us?"
"We are meeting someone." Erick muttered.
Sharing a look with Emilian, David shrugged but made no fuss over it. They continued on for a few more miles. Even passing a few other wolves receiving no attention to their intrusion. Arriving at what appeared to be a cliff overlooking the large river running between the two mountains, Emilian spotted a group of wolves. He recognized two of the three alphas.
Draven was a large multicolor wolf and ally to Erick. For years the two packs have leaned on each other. Helping when needed and even going to war for one another. Draven's name meant Hunter, and it fitted him very well. Emilian had yet to meet a wolf that could beat him at the first kill. He was loved among his pack and allies, but to any outsiders with the intent of harm were met by the snap of his teeth.
Cadeyrn was an alpha on the smaller side. From afar his wolf resembled that of a female wolf. Slim and petite, but do not let that fool you. The alpha was a beast on the battlefield. He was quick and silent, many not aware of their destiny until his jaw was wrapped around their neck. Cadeyrn wasn't usually in the states, he resided in Korea. He was in fact the only alpha in those parts.
Contrary to everyone's belief werewolves weren't thriving. If you were to unite every wolf left, you have about 200-300 wolves in total. Many were pack less, on the run, or lost to the beast. In the states, you had maybe 6 alphas in total. The largest pack belonged to Alpha Hotchner, who in their world was probably the equivalent of the human version of a queen or king.
Looking over at the last alpha, Emilian was sure he'd never met him before. His scent was unclear. He picked up on the scents of the three wolves sitting a few feet away, but nothing on him. The alpha was tall even when sitting, towering over the two others at his side. His coat merged with the black sky looming behind him, almost as if he was emerging from the shadows. His eyes were the same color as the moonlighting over them. Emilian had never seen a wolf as large as him, but it was an amazing sight.
Erick stopped just beside the other two alphas, facing the unknown one. "Alpha Hotchner."
"Erick." The alpha gave a small bow of the head. "Still no heir?"
Erick scoffed. "Still an asshole."
"Who are they?" Hotchner gestured to the two behind him. "Don't think I've met either of them before."
"Brown one is David my Delta." Erick replied. "Grey one is Jasper's son, Emilian."
Hotchner hummed. "Jasper? Lanky red wolf?" Erick nodded. "Last time I saw him, his mate was with pups."
"That's him."
Emilian felt the alpha's gaze on him causing him to look away uncomfortably. "H-Hotchner, isn't that the surname to the fi-"
"First wolves?" Erick nodded. "Yes."
End of Flashback:
The Hotchners and the Blacks were the first of the wolves to be born/created. From there linage many were bitten. From those bitten many were born. No wolf is truly a pure born one, every single one can be traced back to a bitten one. Only those conceived by a Hotchner or Black were pure. It was a common practice back then for the families from both sides to arrange marriages between their offspring, in hopes of keeping the line pure. Of course, as generations came, the tradition was dropped. But it still occurred. The last thing he heard about the latest Hotchner and black couple, was the birth of their three pups.
The oldest was Aaron Hotchner. A true alpha from the moment he could breathe. Rumor was he cared little for those he deemed below him. The blood of dozens of wolves on his hands. His strength was unmatched by other alphas, as was his cruelty. His pack was made up of wolves that craved the thrill of blood and war.
A few years ago, the death of Tobias Hotchner shock everyone. Not just the fact that he died while still in his prime, but how he died. He was discovered by the pack's night patrol with his throat ripped out. Tobias looked as if a pack of wolves went all out on his body. Not many could have pulled off an attack against the alpha. He was as strong as they came and the alpha was no stranger to the battlefield. Rumors said it was the Black's revenge against him for abusing of his wife. It was no secret Tobias was a drunk and a wife beater. Others said it had been their eldest son Aaron that lured his father to the border of their property and killed him.
But then again, they were just rumors.
'Bobby stop!' Emilian lunged forward, stopping his alpha from doing anything stupid.
Aaron shook himself clean of the dirt staining his otherwise glistening coat. 'Nice to see you doing well Emilian.'
'Alpha Hotchner.' Adverting his gaze from the alpha, he laid his ears back. 'If I may ask, what do you wish from Spencer?' The young wolf had scurried back to Bobby's side in fright from the sudden attack.
'The omega belongs by my side.' Aaron growled at seeing his mate nuzzle into Bobby. 'Be wise if you didn't prevent him from me.'
'The hell he does.' Bobby growled. 'Spencer is not going anywhere.' Looking over his shoulder he called over Marco and David. 'Take him back to the house.'
Aaron watched as Spencer was taken, but made no move to chase after him. 'The omega bares my mark, keeping him away will cause him only pain.'
Emilian clenched his jaw, looking at his alpha. 'He's right. If he is Spencer's mate, separating them will only cause them both pain.'
'No.' Without another word he turned away and headed back home.
Emilian rolled his eyes at the stubbornness of Bobby. 'Alpha Hotchner, please change back and meet us at Alpha Nash's home.' Already seeing the confusion on him, he cleared his throat. 'Luna Grant doesn't like fur on the furniture.'
End of flashback:
Bobby looked over at the playful yelp from Spencer. Aaron crouched in front of the grey wolf, running his hands up and down his neck. The look in the alpha reminded him a lot of Emilian and Eddie. Pure devotion and love.
Emilian had explained what Spencer was after he nearly lost control around the Omega. He had never felt anything of the sort. Something had taken control of him. One whiff of Spencer's scent and he was a passenger in his own body as someone else drove. He learned quickly how to block the scent and temptations. Although he was married and loved his wife, he was not yet mated to Athena according to Emilian. He still felt jealousy and possessiveness towards the omega.
"Will you take him away?" Bobby understood the delicacy of the situation. He knew the pain it would cause Spencer being away from the alpha.
Aaron stared at Spencer for a moment, before standing up. "I live in Virginia. The only reason I was even here, was for work." Scratching the omegas ear, he sighed. "But I am also aware of the importance of each connection he has created. I have some vacation time that my superiors have been begging I take." He turned to Bobby. "Give you and your pack some time before we leave."
"Thank you."
"Before who leaves?" Eddie stood by the doors. His eyes jumped from alpha to alpha. "Who are you?"
"Aaron Hotchner." He held his hand out to him.
"Hotchner?" He frowned. "Emilian mentioned that name before, what are you doing here?"
Hotchner chuckled. "Nothing official, this is more of a personal matter."
"He knows what I am." Bobby said.
"Oh." Hotch dropped his hand taking a step back. "Your mate?"
"No, he's Emilian's mate." Bobby replied. "I'm married to someone else."
"You have not mat-"
"Alpha." A dark skin male called from behind Eddie, holding a phone over his head. "Alpha black is calling."
Aaron frowned taking the phone. "Orobas, you never call."
'Where are you?'
"LA."
'I'm heading that way.'
"Hang on a second." He glanced at Bobby. "Something is going on, would it be possible for Black to arrive here?"
Before Bobby was able to deny him, Emilian jumped in. "Yes."
"I'm sending you an address. Meet us here." Hanging up the call, Aaron turned to his beta. "Gather the others and set up a perimeter watch. Take others if necessary. The only ones allowed in are Alpha Nash's mate and family."
"Understood."
"Derek."
The younger man paused. "Yes?"
"Black wouldn't be calling a meeting unless it's bad. Keep a watchful eye. If we must, have Dave and another male take our mates to a secure location." His eyes landed on his newfound mate. "Spen-"
'No!' The omega ran to Hotchner, head butting against his leg. 'I'm not leaving my pack or my ma-mate.'
"We don't know what the problem is. I rather not risk it." Kneeling down he kissed him on the muzzle. "You can stay for now, but the moment I deemed it dangerous you will follow orders."
'Understood.' Nuzzling into the alpha's hand, he trotted over to Bobby. 'Where is the luna?'
"Work." Bobby jerked at the loud howl. "What's that?"
"Emily." Aaron replied. "Black is near."
Time Jump:
May chuckled at the picture she received from Harry. "Dad took Harry to a fair." Turning the phone over to her mom, she showed her the photo of both Harry and Micheal with painted faces. Looking forward as they drove up their driveway, she gasped. "Mom stop!"
Athena slammed her brakes. "What?!" Snapping her head to the front of the car, her eyes widen. There were dozens of wolves loitering in her driveway. A few of them stood as a barrier between her and their home. "Who the hell are they? Call Bobby."
Fumbling with the phone she clicked on the contact. "Hey, we're surrounded by wolves. Literally."
At that moment Bobby walked out of the house, with two males following behind. "Black, get them away from my wife and daughter."
Orobas offered him an apologetic nod. "Forgive them. Ty, take the pack on a run. I'll call you when I am done here." A red-colored wolf nodded, taking off with the pack. "They meant no harm."
Ignoring the alpha, he stood by for Athena to pack the car and jump out. "Hey."
"Don't hey me." She raised a hand out to stop his approach. "Where's Spencer?" The young wolf rush between them, nuzzling into her. "How was your day today? Anything exciting?"
Bobby tossed Hotchner a look to keep his mouth shut. "We'll get to that later, right now-."
"I want to know why my house is filled with unknown wolves?" Athena crossed her arms, glaring at the three men in front of them. "And who are you two?"
"I'm Aaron Hotchner." Hotch lowered his head as a sign of respect to the alpha female.
Athena narrowed her eyes at the tall man. "Hotchner? As in agent Hotchner from the BAU?" Hotch nodded. "My Captain told me you were being called in for a case."
"We already spoke to her and gave them the profile. Not much else we could do." Hotch replied.
Her eyes darted between him and her husband. "So I am going to assume you grow a tail as well."
Hotch nodded. "I grow fur as well."
"Just keep it off my furniture." She turned to the next male. "You are?"
"Orobas Black." Like Hotch, he offered the two females in front of him a respectful bow of the head. "Apologies on behalf of my pack. They are an overprotective bunch."
"No harm done." Handing her bag to May, she turned her focus on her husband. "What's going on?"
"I don't-"
"I called this meeting." Orobas jumped in. "It's an issue that involves your husband. I wouldn't dare intrude into your home if it wasn't of importance."
Athena sighed gesturing towards her house. "Let's go then."
Time Jump:
"So, you're saying there is a pack of wolves coming here for Bobby." Athena was still trying to wrap her mind around his words. "For what reason?"
"No good one." Hotch stated. "It's no secret Erick and Chase have had a strained relationship. Blood had been spilled on both sides. And to tell you the truth no one remembers what even started the feud."
Orobas nodded. "At the moment Chase believes he should be the one running Bobby's pack. And his goal is to eliminate the alpha. Only then would Emilian the others accept him."
"He's after Bobby right." May asked getting nods. "Why are you both here?"
Emilian clicked his tongue. "Right, you are new to all of this. I will explain to you in a bit who these two are."
"As to why we are here, is simple." Hotch grinned. "Chase had been a constant pain in the ass." Still getting a confused look from both females, he sighed. "We have our laws like you have your own. When you break a law you are punished for it. Just the same as yours. Chase has declared a war against another alpha and pack, without being provoked to it. We are here to ensure you remain safe and to put an end to the Chase."
"In shorter words, we're here to kill him."
