AN: Hi Guys! Sorry this is so late, but at least there is another chapter \_(*-*)_/

Right now the avengers only know Peter as Tony's Intern-and son, so the Avengers don't know that Peter is Spider-Man...yet. Tony does though, obviously. Also, Peter is 15 turning 16 =)

Ok, I'll go now, Bye and Enjoy =)

It was a cold day nearing the end of summer, snow coated the streets of New York and the clouds above were a milky white, after a freak storm had hit (Strange said it wasn't anything to be worried about), releasing elegant flakes in a light shower. Steve was relaxing in the tower, reading a newspaper from the previous Sunday, sat in a cosy armchair by the lit fire (he had persuaded Tony to buy the chair, and then had to suffer through many age related jokes from the smaller man aimed towards him.) He sipped from a warm mug of cocoa with his reading glasses perched on the end of his nose.

Everything was perfect. The view outside the window, the peace and quiet, the-

He sighed heavily as the lift doors opened with a loud ping, releasing their contents. One Billionaire happily chatting with Peter Parker, who was animatedly using hand movements to convey whatever idea he was talking about. Steve shook his head, knowing he wouldn't be getting any more peace for a while now.

Tony chuckled at the boys antiques before looking up and noticing Steve for the first time.

"Capsicle." Tony nodded at the soldier in acknowledgement, a faint frown taking up residence on his features.

"Tony." Steve replied in kind, however only a tightness around his eyes gave away his feelings.

Tensions were still high between the two after the fiasco that had been labeled the "Civil War". Tony had managed to get the entirety of team Cap out of any serious repercussions by using the public support and shining a light on the reasons behind Steve's choices and the true intent of one Helmut Zemo.

The rogue Avengers were granted a full pardon under the condition that they sign the amended accords (which they did, as the new version was much more agreeable.)

However, although all the other Avengers were able to get along similar to how they used to, Tony and Steve still behaved very icy towards each other, especially Tony. Sometimes Steve would try to start a conversation with the billionaire but Tony would either respond with scathing remarks or would simply turn around and walk off.

Steve tried to be angry at Tony's actions, but he knew he deserved it, especially after Siberia. He could still remember the look in Tony's eyes as he brought the shield-the shield that was supposed to represent hope, unity and protection- down again and again into the metal casing around the youngers chest. Absolute fear.

Peter watched as his dad and Steve had a stare off with each other, and shuffled his feet in the same spot to help deal with the tension that was high in the room, putting a damper on his previously happy mood.

Due to the avoidance between the two heroes, Peter hadn't really spoken much to Steve. He understood where Steve had come from in wanting to protect his friend, but he had hurt his dad in the process, so Peter hadn't really had any interactions with the star spangled magazine cover boy.

"Come on Pete, lets go to the lab."

Peter allowed himself to be ushered out of the room, knowing that Tony wanted to be as far away from Steve as possible. Once in the lab, the older billionaires shoulders lost their tension and he was soon back to joking around with Peter as they both lost themselves in their work. A familiar sense of comfort settling over the both of them.

About an hour in, a thought crossed Tony's mind. "Hey kid?" All he got was a non-committal hum in response as Peter was busy working on one of his web shooters. "When did you say your birthday was again?" He didn't get a response for a minute, and thinking that the younger hadn't heard him, he was about to ask the question again when Peter spoke up.

"August 10th." Was the mumbled response and Tony felt a wide grin spread across his face, for you see, the day was currently August 1st.

"No Dad, I don't like that look. Whatever your planning, forget it. I'm perfectly happy without having some Stark crazy idea. Just-Dad! Are you even listening?"

Tony was in fact, not listening. Instead he was already making plans in his head, as well as making a mental note to get Peppers help to make the day something his son will forever treasure. You see, Pepper Potts was a no nonsense type woman, and when she had her mind set on something, she was going to get it done, and nothing was going to stop her, and the fact she saw Peter as a son would only give her a further drive to make the day perfect.

Putting down what he was working on, Tony spun in his seat before standing up and pressing a kiss to Peter's curls before making his way towards the door. "Well Kid, it seems there is much to be done and so little time to do so." He heard a groan behind him and couldn't hide his smile. "Bye Bambino!" The door closed before he could get a reply, but he was a man on a mission. (Cue mission impossible music.)

Pepper was busy filling out some forms in her office when a knock was heard on her door. Before she could say "Enter!" the door was already being swung open and in strutted the very reason her stress levels were so high.

"Pepper! Love of my life! Light to my dark, the pepper to my salt, the-"

"What Tony? I'm busy with work that YOU decided to forsake in favor of some mad, scientific scheme of yours!" Tony's eyes widened comically, but he was not to be deterred.

"Well, a little ray of sunshine told me that a very special someone's birthday is coming up soon, and I was hoping that you could help with the preparation. I want it to be perfect for him."

Peppers gaze softened at seeing the look of fondness in Tony's eyes. She to often garnered the same look whenever talking to or about the youngest and newest addition to their family, and was quick to agree.

Peter Parker-Stark wouldn't know what hit him.

The day finally arrived and Tony was giddy with anticipation. He had missed all of his kids previous birthdays, and all (most) of his firsts, so he wanted everything to go swimmingly. He woke up at 6am, on the dot, kissed his sleeping wife gently on the cheek, before getting up and quickly dressing himself.

He quietly walked over to the door of his son's room, and peered inside. A fond smile graced his lips as he watched his son sleep, covered under a pile of blankets-completely tangled in them to. Shaking his head, Tony turned away and made his way to the kitchen where Wanda was making herself a coffee.

She smiled at Tony as he walked in, to which he reciprocated before the two got busy with the preparations. Wanda made pancake batter, and Tony started setting the places on the table as well as getting everyone a drink and putting all different toppings and fruit on the table.

The sleeping avengers were slowly woken up by the promise of pancakes and hurriedly got dressed themselves before joining Tony and Wanda in the kitchen. When everything was almost ready, and Pepper had appeared to help Wanda finish the food, Tony went over to his son's room and gently woke him up.

"Morning bambino."

His heart melted at the groggy smile that Peter sent his way. "Morning dad." Was the quiet response. Tony leant forward and kissed the youngers head before ushering him out of bed.

"Come on Birthday boy, you better get ready, breakfast is on the table."

Tony watched in amusement as Peter hurriedly rushed around his room, before jumping in the shower to help him wake up. As Tony waited, he looked around the room, and felt a warmth bloom in his heart. He walked over to the shelves and allowed his eyes to scour the assortment of knick-knacks his son had amassed. He felt pride at the amount of trophies and awards, all from different academic and scientific achievements. He smiled at the bunch of pictures along the shelves, with Peter, his friends, the avengers all in them, although Tony's personal favorite sat by the teen's bed. It was a picture with the two of them, both putting bunny ears behind each others heads (the one from endgame, ya know that movie that ripped out our hearts and stomped all over them.)

Hearing the water turn off, Tony went over to the wardrobes and looked inside for an outfit that Peter could wear. He pulled out his old MIT hoodie, as well as some navy jeans and white sneakers.

Peter stepped out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel, another wrapped around his waist. Handing the clothes to him with a smile, Tony then made his way out into the hall to wait for Peter to walk out.

He wasn't waiting long, and then the two of them made their way into the kitchen and dining area, where the others were all seated around the table.

"Happy Birthday Peter!" Peters face grew a faint blush, which he hid by ducking his head. "Thank you guys." He then squeezed his fathers hand before taking a seat between Nat and Sam, whilst Tony took a seat on the other side of Nat and next to Pepper.

The pancakes were amazing and when everyone had had their fill, they all made their way over to the lounge. Once everyone was comfortable, presents started to be gifted to Peter, who yet again, had turned the shade of a tomato.

Almost all of the presents had been gifted, when finally it was just Tony left. He had already gifted Peter an assortment of extravagant and expensive gifts, and now they were down to the final present. It was a fairly small parcel, wrapped carefully in Spider-Man themed wrapping, to which Peter smiled, and neither of the duo noticed the small smirk on Natasha's face (because obviously Nat knows, you can't hide anything from her!) And carefully the teen unwrapped it. When he saw what it was, a small gasp escaped his mouth, and he felt his jaw drop. He looked up and met his fathers eyes, looking to see if this was really happening.

All of the team were sat around, all but forgotten by the billionaire and his son, but they were all eager to see what could have warranted such a response from the boy who never seemed to run out of words.

When the wrapping fell to the floor and Peter carefully lifted out the gift, Steve felt his eyes bulge. In the teens hands was a beautifully designed suit. A red and blue suit that looked suspiciously similar to one that a certain Spider themed vigilante wore. Putting the clues together Steve couldn't help what he next said.

"You were 14!?"

Peter jumped in his seat having forgotten his audience. He looked up at Steve and blinked a few times, which would have been comical had the situation not been so tense.

"I-" the teen began before being cut off.

"Jesus, your a kid, you were 14 and I- HOLY SH*T, I dropped a literal loading terminal on a kid. Tony, why would you get a KID involved? Fuck!"

Looking at his father, Peter noticed that Tony wasn't doing to good. In fact it looked like he was about to blow a casket. Hurriedly, Peter tried to calm Tony down, whilst Bucky did the same with Steve.

"Dad? Dad, it's okay. He didn't- I mean-well I-"

"What the HELL ROGERS?! You dropped a fucking terminal on my kid? You knew spidy was a kid and yet you had no qualms with just dropping a bridge onto him!?"

"Well at least I didn't let a 14 year old child join a fight!"

"Yeah? Well I-"

Peter had been watching in wide eyed worry, but had finally had enough.

"Would you both please SHUT UP!"

Tony quickly closed his mouth, swallowing whatever it was he was about to say, whilst Steve turned a shocked stare towards Peter.

"Yes, Captain, I was 14 during your fight, and yes, Dad knew this." At this Steve looked ready to interject, "However! I was going out as Spider-Man for almost a year before dad found out, and whilst I'll admit, he did only find me in the hopes of getting me to join his side, he didn't make me become a vigilante. That was all me. He couldn't have stopped me even if he wanted to, and believe me he's tried, it didn't work out, and we both learnt our lessons, but trust me, Captain, when I say that my father is a great man, and I chose to help in Germany, knowing full well the risk to myself. Don't you ever say otherwise." He finished coldly.

He had to admit to himself, Tony was proud. That was his kid right there, and he just talked back to Steve Rogers, Captain America himself, in defense of his father. Tony's chest felt warm at the thought. He also felt satisfaction at seeing his kid tearing into Mr. Good and Righteous, especially after all the sleepless nights he had had, thinking back to the cold icy floor, and the shield coming down, again and again into his broken suit.

Steve was speechless, and looking around the room he saw shock painted across every face of those around, but he also noticed the pride in Tony's, Pepper's and Natasha's eyes. Guilt welled up and he swallowed as his throat felt stuck.

"I-" Here he paused, trying to figure out how to say this, "Tony I'm sorry. Christ! Kid I'm sorry to you two. I shouldn't have said you were to young, that would just be hypocritical." At this, he heard a snort coming from the back of the room, followed by a "Oh now you realize!" but Steve just rolled his eyes and carried on. "I'm sorry for what I said, and Tony, I am truly sorry about Siberia, I don't know why I-but I am so entirely sorry."

Tony would never admit it, but his eyes had slightly misted up at the admission. Taking a deep breath, he decided to take the olive branch Steve was offering, "I forgive you Rogers, it might take a while for me to trust you, but I forgive you." The two offered each other tentative smiles, whilst Peter out right beamed.

"Well now that all of the emotional stuff is out of the way, I do believe we have a party to get to, yes?!"

There was a chorus of agreements, and the room descended into chatter and laughter, with no tensions or arguments to ruin the joyous atmosphere.

"Happy Birthday Kid." The billionaire looked down at his kid, who was looking right back up at him with his beautiful brown doe eyes, light with joy.

"Thanks dad. I love you."

Tony pressed a gentle kiss to the top of Peter's head and pulled his son into a tight hug to which the younger quickly reciprocated, burying his head in the crook of his fathers neck .

"I love you to bambino."

AN: So I hope you all enjoyed, and again, sorry it's so late! Hopefully the next one won't be! =)
