When Sozuki told Raiden about an ANBU Black Ops shinobi from Mist Village, Raiden decided to confront the man. Facing the Mist Shinobi, Raiden felt a sudden pain in his chest, then fell to the ground coughing up blood. The Mist shinobi then drew his kunai and rushed towards Raiden, hoping to execute him; Shadow Clone Jutsu. The Mist Shinobi was stunned at how Raiden made a clone under critical condition and kept the same amount of chakra and time Raiden had to hunt the Mist Shinobi. Raiden then asked him why shinobi are infiltrating villages. The Mist Shinobi told Raiden that a mysterious Shinobi killed the Mizukage; Flying Raijin. Raiden then teleports to the Hokage's office and asks the sand shinobi why the shinobi are attacking each other. The Sand Shinobi told Raiden that Sand Shinobi killed the Mizukage, resulting in the First Great Ninja War. He then reported the details to all the shinobi and civilians in the village. Since the village is in the glaciers, anyone attacking them should be prepared for the upcoming cold front, even Genin-level shinobi will fight the war. Raiden then announced his predecessor for the next Hokage, Sasuke Sarutobi, the father of Togami Sarutobi and the last of the Sarutobi clan. Raiden then said to Sozuki himself, "A death will bring hatred, vengeance, and greater power...think and choose wisely the choices you make as they may be your last." Raiden then said to Urasaki himself, "In you is the blood of Fūma, the descendant of the legendary clan Uchiha, your power will soon extinguish, don't let emotions control you, let the power control you, think smartly now, you are a cousin, the 4th cousin of Samaru Uchiha whom my brother Fujino Senju defeated long ago." With Sasuke Sarutobi, who becomes the 3rd Hokage, the disciple of Fujino and Raiden Senju. Sasuke was known for his special ability, Telekinesis, which is the ability to move objects or change their shape using the power of the mind. Born in the Sarutobi house, Sasuke had unique abilities that were more special than Raiden, but his power was very similar to Fujino's. He was known as the "chosen" child even though he grew up without parents and nobody knew where his background was from. He excelled in every class of the academy and by the age of eight he was already a Chunin. He was a vicious shinobi who would kill anyone who stood in his way or spoke rudely to him. He didn't want to be a shinobi until he started taking revenge on whoever killed his parents. The village killed both his father and mother as they were accused of treason and breaking the village decree. While Raiden declared Sasuke Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage, some civilians in the village were not happy with this choice, thinking that Sasuke would betray the village for his revenge. Shortly after, Raiden received a message from The Village Hidden in The Mist asking to be allies during the war. Raiden accepted the offer on one condition, kill the shinobi that attacked Raiden. The Mist then accepted the offer. There are five major nations and ten regular nations each containing six or more villages. Shortly thereafter, The Village Hidden in The Sand launched the first attack in the war, sending over 1,000 shinobi towards The Village Hidden in The Mist. Shortly thereafter, The Village Hidden in The Stone had attacked both the Sand Village and The Village Hidden in The Clouds. After attack after attack, Raiden decided to jump straight into the front line, and left a message for Sasuke, the 3rd Hokage. "Saru, you must protect those who have faith in you and who love the village, and train up to those to whom you can entrust the next generation.. From tomorrow, you will be the Hokage. My brother believed that the village was something that demolished the boundaries between clans. Well in the end it wasn't that simple…My brother was too soft.. And Samaru was too dangerous… My role as Second Hokage was to mediate between them while protecting and reinforcing the village." When Raiden arrived at the front lines, he was just in time for Sand's surprise attack. Raiden, in critical condition, began attacking the Sand shinobi; Flying Raijin Slice, killed 50 shinobi; Water Style: Water Dragon Bite Blast, killed 100 more shinobi, then a sand shinobi used; Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu, which injures Raiden's left leg; Shadow Clone Jutsu, Raiden summoned 100 clones then used his; Genjutsu Bringer of Darkness technique, he had placed 150 Sand Shinobi into the most powerful Genjutsu in his arsenal. Then Sand Shinobi got lucky by dropping four paper bombs on Raiden. Raiden was badly injured, breathing heavily, his eyesight started to fade. He kept killing sand shinobi, but it seemed like it would never end; Flying Raijin Slice, he kept killing sand shinobi while teleporting away, which was really the only way he could win the fight. After three hours, Raiden had killed all 1,000 sand shinobi alone, but it cost him his life. Raiden on the verge of death. He began to retreat to Hyōgagakure. A day passed and no one knew Raiden's whereabouts, Sozuki who then felt Raiden's chakra begin to fade. Sozuki then ran towards Raiden, hoping he would still be alive when he got there, but it was too late when Sozuki saw Raiden leaning against a tree and covered in blood. Sozuki then picked Raiden up and took him back to the village. On the way to the village, Sozuki heard Raiden say something, but couldn't understand the words coming out of Raiden's mouth. Raiden then infused chakra into Sozuki and gave him more power and some of Raiden's special abilities. By the time Togami and Urasaki arrived at the Hokage's office to tell Sasuke of Raiden's whereabouts, he had already left the village. Sozuki had heard the branches snap and was careful with his movements. Sasuke then appeared out of nowhere and saw Raiden dead with Sozuki carrying his corpse. Sasuke said to Sozuki, "If you really want to end this endless battle, you should sit down and make a truce." Sozuki crying in disbelief at Raiden's death began to anger himself. Sasuke had sensed this "evil" chakra in Sozuki, but this time it was different than before, he felt angry as if wanting revenge for Raiden's death. To Sozuki, Raiden was like a father figure, Sozuki's parents died before he knew them, he was an outsider in his village and was labeled a monster throughout his childhood until he left his home village, Konohagakure, also known as The Village Hidden in The Leafs. Sasuke and Sozuki then began returning to the village to attend and prepare for Raiden's funeral. Now the squad including Togami, Urasaki, and Sozuki fell apart since Raiden, the leader of the squad, had died in battle, to protect his comrades until his very last moment. Sasuke had told all the shinobi who could fight to prepare for the war, as they left the village they stopped in a forest to camp until morning. Later that evening, Sasuke, Togami, Urasaki, and Sozuki had gone for a walk through the forest, talking about Raiden and how he becomes the new captain of their team, like how Raiden was Hokage and their captain, it'll be more additional training and missions.
