What is love?

Everyone gets that feeling. That feeling where you just want to see and be with that one person all the time. That feeling where all you want is for you to be able to hug that person so that you can feel protected in their arms while you give that same feeling towards them. Everyone gets that feeling. Whether you're a child who's just growing up and experiencing the mysterious world for the first time and you want that feeling from your parents. Whether you're someone who has that friend who has always been there for you no matter what. Whether you're that parent and want to offer it to your child. Whether you want to be the one that gets that feeling from that special someone. Everyone gets that feeling. It's a weird feeling. It's a feeling that's so mysterious. So powerful. So overwhelming. So confusing. So indescribable that all we can use to even come close to describing it is one word. Love.

But again, what is love? Perhaps that feeling before could only be applied to describe the feelings of some. Or maybe it describes the feelings of only one. Or none. Perhaps the truth is that love doesn't have one definition, one easy way to describe it for everyone, because it's different for everyone. Maybe love is one of the most complex puzzles in life because everyone will experience life and love differently.

If so, then what is love like when it seems that every force in the imaginable universe and beyond seems to be doing everything in its power to keep you and someone else apart. What is love like when you already have to overcome an impossible barrier just to see their face?
