Daniel deals with his own stuff while the Alien explores their new room. A new change allowing them to have a more fluid conversation.

After Killua had a shower, Daniel led the Alien to the spare bedroom. He made sure to turn the fan on, after the Alien used the room. Because as soon as he entered the room, that smell was still lingering. Lucky for him, it didn't make him rock hard again.

He didn't want to deal with it a second time that night. As much as it felt good, the divine scent egging on the need to release, a sensation that not only pushed him over the edge, it secretly made him crave the need to want to smell Kirua all over again.

Maybe the shower had something to do with reducing the scent.

Does that mean, the smellier the Alien gets, the more pronounced that scent gets?

He dreads having to deal with that more often than not.

The moment the man opened the door to the room, Kirua walked in, taking in the scenery. It wasn't as big as Daniel's room, but to them… it felt roomie, comforting to be in. It didn't feel like the ship's or even their room back at home, suffocating. They just wished their sibling was with them…

Not back at home, being forced into isolation…

Taking a seat on the bed, it squeaked under their weight.

"I hope the room doesn't feel too small?"

"Room feel… nice… homey?"

"Like home?"

Killua shook their head, "No, more relaxing… not…" They fell silent.

Daniel gave a nod at the silence, not wanting to probe, even though the psychologist side of him wanted to, "I'm glad you're able to feel relaxed."

"Yeah…" Kirua gave a soft smile, "What's smell?"

"Ah…" Daniel pointed at the scented spray "It's Lavender and Chamomile… apparently it's to help people sleep."

"You trying put to sleep?!" Sat up, angry at the revelation. Just when they finally felt they were able to relax, Daniel was trying to get rid of them. They thought the human was trying to accommodate to them, not get rid of them.

"No… No… No…" Daniel argued against the Alien's anger. They had no reason to get agree with them, it was merely a small act that may help the Alien settle down., trying to calm them down, "Not that kind. I think it's all baloney."

"Baloney?"

"Bullshit… lies…?" When Kirua gave a nod, the man continued, "Certain smells can trick our senses to feel something. It's typically used to help us relax, which in turn, right before bed could mean a better night sleep… or as the theory goes. Anyways… I'll be out here for a bit before going to bed. You know where to find me, once I go to sleep. Don't hesitate to approach me if you have issues…"

Turning away, the Alien's eyes fell on the bookcase, "Will do…"

Daniel closed the door as he left, his head falling against the bedroom door with a light thud. He was so tired, yet he was unable to sleep. When he mentioned the scent putting Kirua to sleep, it seemed to spike the Alien's anxiety, making him angry at the idea of being force to sleep.

Who exactly hurt this poor Alien… how much suffering did they go through on a daily basis?

He wanted to probe them so badly right now, but maybe once the Alien accommodated to their language, maybe he could figure more out about them.

Daniel returned to the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water. He downed the first cup quickly, before drinking the second much slower. Only once he was half way through the second glass, he realised he hadn't offered the Alien any water… actually, how would they drink it. the hole opening in their mouth might be the best route. But, given how they ate the chocolate earlier… he wasn't too sure if he should bring them a cup with a straw, or offer the Alien water in a bowl.

The way the mouth opened, it suggested it would be better to offer them a bowl… but the straw could mean he'll drink as a human normally would…

He really doesn't want to offend Kirua by offering them water in a bowl, like they're some animal, and not an intelligent extra-terrestrial.

Grabbing a cold, non-used water container, he grabbed a straw and cup on the way to where Kirua was located. He knocked on the door before entering, the door creaking open.

The alien looked towards him, a book in its lap; an eyebrow raised at the man entering the room "Yes?"

"I brought water… just in case you're thirsty. Although, I suppose where you come from, you may not drink liquids."

"We do… water fine… I drink when thirsty."

Daniel with a nod, put the cup and container down. Slipping the straw into the cup, he poured the Alien a glass before leaving once more, this time, getting his bed ready so he could sleep as soon as he threw the sheets in the dryer.

Hopefully, they weren't stained permanently.

"~"

The Alien took the straw out, looking it at quizzically before putting on the bench. Raising the cup to their closed mouth, they poured a little in. They swished it around before tilting their head, swallowing the contents.

Nothing tasted weird about the water… Weren't humans supposed to have really salty water?

They shrugged to themselves before refilling the cup, this time heading to the bookshelf. They grabbed a random book off the shelf, opening the pages. Some of the words looked gibberish to them, like it was written in another language, while others were clear.

Maybe they set the dial wrong… it would explain why some of the words coming out of Daniel's mouth sounded weird. Yet, they re-explained those words in a much clearer manner. There could be some mistranslation issues going through their device.

Putting the cup down, they left the picture book on a random open page, eyes lingering on the words. Turning the dial like it was a radio, they kept going until they could read every word on the page. Flipping a page, they re-adjusted the dial.

Unfortunately, the most they could manage was a 98% effective rate. Certain words still looked like gibberish to them. Sighing in defeat, they slowly began to read, taking a sip of water every now and then.

At least now… they may be able to communicate better.

But on the other hand, what exactly did they grab? It had Doujinshi written on the front right corner… and there were pictures of humans doing weird things to their Aconaris. Weird, in comparison to what their species would've normally did.

The Alien had kept reading throughout the night, reading pages from stories, books labelled "History" and "Science", it gave them a general basis, some history on how humans in the past acted. But their language system was so strange… it had words that were considered "buffers" to his kind, but it made sentences flow so easily.

It wasn't direct and to the point, like their language system was.

But at least now, after reading so many books, they found out that they had mistranslated their own name. It was Killua, not Kirua… they suppose they're going to make more mistakes like that. A loud, sudden noise disturbed their ears, the sound of metal clanging against metal.

Getting up, they opened the door, this time hearing it more pronounced. Hands reached to cover their ears as they got closer. They found Daniel moving sluggishly, barely functioning, as they just recently learned, was a male.

It's another strange concept designated to humans… a need to give a label to many things in their lives. One book went over it in great detail, thousands of terms limit to a single topic. The idea surrounding Gender. Most of it went over their head, too many terms introduced way too quickly for their mind to warp around it.

It's something they'll need clarification over from Daniel.

Daniel stuck his head in the metal box, looking for something.

"Daniel…?"

The man in question slammed is head against the roof of the fridge, in pain and surprise from the sudden voice. He was really hoping that last night was a vivid dream, but the sudden voice had proved to him, that he had basically taken in an Alien into his home.

Groaning, the man rubbed is head as he looked above the fridge door, seeing the Alien walking around fine "Ahh… Kirua?"

"Killua, actually?"

Daniel blinked in confusion; he was sure the Alien said Kirua last night. Actually, now that he re ran the words in his head, the Alien sounded less robotic, "Wait… is it Kirua or Killua? I'm pretty sure, you said Kirua last night…"

"Killua…" The Alien ran their hand through their hair, offering a semi smile, "It was a mistranslation issue."

"Ah…" The man stuck his head back in the fridge, only to remove it once more, this time looking at Killua in shock "Your style of speaking has also changed?!"

"Yes… I read some of your books and recalibrated my device to pick up on some of your human mannerisms. Some of it's still gibberish to me though."

"At least now, we can have more natural conversations…"

The Alien gave a nod, "Yes, less of a communication boundary. I'll still ask you to explain some stuff."

"Sure, that'll be no problems for me… speaking of which…"

Daniel pointed a figure at Killua, "Does your kind have a gender concept like humans do?"

Killua gave a nod, "We do…"

"What's your pronouns?"

"Huh…?" Killua blinked in confusion, eyes now looking over the man, "What on earth is a pronoun?"

"Ah…" Daniel ran a thumb over his chin, "a roadblock already…"

"Aren't you a man?"

Daniel gave a nod, "I am… but I'd also say you assumed my gender correctly. I'd consider you male, but that would be me, forcing human constructs on an Alien…?"

"Oh, Valiskarian… that's our species name."

"Right, Valiskarian… So, we have multiple layers to Gender here. Rather than give you the full speech, which is not my area of expertise… I'll give you the shorter version. I'm biologically, male. My gender is also male, which would make me cis-male, which is a fancy way of saying born male and identify as male."

"Right, so as I read, female… is the other biological sex?"

"There's also Intersex, someone born with traits from male and female. But, I'm not too good in this area. Someone like Leorio… or even his brother, Iason, might know."

"Never met them…"

"To be fair, you did… just land on this planet."

"That is true…" Killua looked over to the bench containing metal pans, the possible source of the noise from earlier, "What you doing?"

"Ah, about to try to cook… without, killing your taste buds." God, forbid you try my cooking from 5 years ago… I would've killed you from food poisoning… I had to beg my father to teach me… just so I didn't kill myself.

"Oh…" Killua walked to the metal pan, "So, you cook?"

"No… not really." Daniel looked through the fridge, "Not normally… actually. Anyways, you sit down while I try to cook up some bacon and scrambled eggs." Killua gave a nod, sitting down, "So, where does pronouns come in?"

"Right… So, pronouns are linked to Gender. He and him, for male. She and her, for female. They're the linked to the binary system, however, we've been expanding to be… more inclusive…"

"How so?" Killua was more curious about the topic, "So, I could be considered… What exactly?"

"Given your presentation, you'd lean more towards male… but, given that you're not a human, I'd say you fall outside of that boundary."

"Something outside of male, huh?"

"Well, yeah… it'll just be hard to assign a label to you, without any information. I assume, your kind uses a binary system."

"We do… but the language doesn't translate too well."

"How so?"

"The closest to translation would be… Master and Slave."

"Heh?" Daniel blinked in shock. As in, Dom and Subs? As in… Killua belongs to a species that's into hardcore sex involving whips and flogs?

"Yeah, I believe that's the closest example…" Killua hummed with a nod, "that definitely sounds right."

OMG, Valiskarians are a BDSM species… their sexes are considered Slave and Master. "Please explain why, you use that kind of system…"

"Well, we have a Hierarchy of sorts. I would be a Master, those of the opposite are considered Slaves. However, a Slave is still a Slave, even if they're a higher ranking of another Slave. The same applies to Masters."

"Can a Slave ever be ranked higher than a Master?"

"They can, but they're considered very low down the totem pole. I…" The Alien shook their head, "It's not important… I suppose it'll never be now."

Daniel sighed as he leaned back against the bench, "I'm all ears to listen, it's technically my job to listen, give advice… but not answers."

"Sure…" Killua's gaze shifted their attention to Daniel, "So, what would a pronoun be for something like a Master?"

"I can tell you… but I'm not using it as a pronoun." Definitely… not calling them a Dommy Daddy to their face, well… Dommy X, until we figure out their pronouns.

"Oh, why?"

"Because I just met you… so I'm not calling you a Dom… we've barely met, let alone gotten to know each other. Maybe if we had a more… closer partnership, I might Sub for you… but that's a huge IF."

"Sub is for slave, I assume…" I wonder what he means by sub for me?

"Yes…" Daniel shifted is gaze back to the fridge, "Do you have traits that set you apart from Slaves?"

"We do…"

"They are…?"

"No longer important… I'm probably the only Valiskarian you'll ever meet…"

"Well, if you ever feel comfortable to talk about it, feel free to open yourself to me, in a discussion matter, for now…" Daniel proceeded to crack a few eggs into the sauce pan, before adding a bit of milk and salt. He was trying to replicate his father's recipe to the best of his ability "Since you have more of a Hierarchy than a Gender System like we have… Maybe 'they', 'them' and 'their', for your species, at least until we figure things out."

"So, which one would I be?"

"Either, depends on how you're constructing the sentence…" Daniel cut some rashers of Bacon, getting them prepped to be cooked later. Midway through, he thought of something stupid he could say, "But if we're using the Gay system…?"

"The gay system…? What's that?"

"I'll explain it over time. For now, you'd be considered a twink, femboi."

"A who in the what?"

"Basically, a hairless or shaved, male, with feminine, delicate features… a pretty boy is another way of saying it."

Killua turned away, "You say the strangest of things…" He just gave me a compliment… do I compliment him back? Shit! How am I supposed to react?

Daniel looked up at the wall, "Shit… that's the time?"

Killua's eyes looked at the object Daniel's eyes were focused on. It was a circular object with twelve numbers linked around it "I assume, you have somewhere to be?"

"I do, work! I'll be quick for you… so you have something to eat. But I need you to promise me, you'll stay here."

"Sure, don't know where I'll go…"

"That's the least of our problems." Killua raised an eyebrow at the man's comment, but he was far too busy to respond. Daniel was constantly rolling the pan up and down as he used another tool to move the food back and forth in the frying pan.

After a few minutes, Daniel threw the other piece into the pan, the pan sizzling as it was added.

The man then moved, flicking on another machine, adding a small capsule to an opening slot before moving a cup underneath a funnel.

Daniel then went back to the frying pan, flipping the second thing he added over, before going back to the second machine. A dark black liquid poured into the cup with a buzz.

While Daniel's coffee was pouring, and the bacon was still sizzling, he pulled out a plate from the cupboard, putting it on the bench. He then poured some water for Killua, placing it on the table in front of the Alien along with a knife and fork.

When the Alien gave him another look, Daniel sighed, "Knife to cut… fork to stab and pick up food… try not to stab the inside of your mouth."

The man went back to the pan, pushing the food onto the plate before placing it in front of Killua, "I hope it doesn't taste too bad…" He then moved back to the mug the coffee poured into. Adding some sugar, he stirred it into the coffee before filling the rest of the mug with milk.

Grabbing the lid, he clipped it onto the top of the mug, "When I get back… I promise we'll continue to talk more." Grabbing his keys, he pointed once more at the Alien, "If anyone comes to the door screaming for me, don't answer it. It'll probably be my crazy Ex… Knowing him, he'll think I hooked up last night as revenge or something equally stupid."

"Hooked up?"

"Had sex with a stranger… which I also, happened to bring back. Anyways, bye…" Leaving through the front door, Daniel made sure to lock it, not so Killua didn't left, so that Yannick couldn't come in, stumbling across the Valiskarian in his living room.

He'll either A, assume the worst outcome, which like he said… he hooked up with a random stranger as revenge. Or B… call the cops, because there was an unknown creature inside his living room.

It would really depend on Yannick's mood, if he'll be enraged from seeing another guy in his house.

When the door slammed shut, Killua looked more confused than after Daniel explained, "We had sex…? What is sex?"
