Daniel finally makes a call-in order to get protection for Killua.
While Daniel was imagining Killua in the shower, testing out the new products they were putting to the test on themselves, the man was in desperate need of a distraction. As much as he wanted to imagine Killua rubbing soap suds over their bare chest, going in a downward pattern that will lead to an opening that would've been otherwise used for self-sexual gratification…
His mind shouldn't be going there.
Killua wasn't his partner…
He shouldn't be imagining his roommate in that way. Especially, when he still needed to buy them an adult toy. The man pulled out his phone, making a call for a far more reasonable issue. He needed to get an ID for his alien friend…
While Killua having his way to satisfy themselves is an important part, considering the need to relieve themselves is a part of their livelihood, having identification will be far more important on earth.
It's just one bad movement, and Killua could be in serious danger… they have no form of identification, nothing linking them in a way to a database where they wouldn't be flagged as an anomaly.
He has one friend that could pull it off, and it's going to cost him almost everything he has saved up in terms of merits. Annex Symus, a skilled Red Hat hacker changed into White Hat. The only reason he knows the person, in-person, is because of his loud mouth father. If anyone could break into a system to change something, it was this guy.
Very few knew what he did in the past… but the number of merits he has obtained over the years, he'll be able to get away with doing a little bit of illegal work from time to time.
"Hi, you've reached Annex Solutions; how may I assist you with your technological issues?"
"I need a favour…"
The tone went dead, the man for a second thinking they had been hung up on. But the call was still going, the seconds counting by. Taking a deep breath, he asked once more "Hey, are you there, buddy?"
"Yeah… I'm here. For one, you completely foregone your greetings, instead answering me with a I need a favour."
"My apologies, how is your-"
"Too late. Now that'd be awkward to abruptly restart the conversation." Like father, like son… The man coughed, trying to ignore his thought on the process "So, what can I do you for? Someone to make incognito, a new identity? Oh god, is an ex harassing you? Your father would murder me if I don't report that one."
"None of the above… well, on a technicality, an Ex tried to harass me, but the issue has been sorted out. I've already applied for a restraining order."
"That's good… so that favour?"
"Can you… you know… alter a certain database to include someone important to me."
"Important to you…?" There was long pause, Annex wanting to ask his friend to clarify what he meant by important. Rafter than pursue the conversation, the man knew better to approach a conversation that Daniel, sometimes, spoke about in a similar manner his father made him regret.
Asking Vastorie for private details is an awkward request he learned to ignore. Daniel, sometimes had the same exact mannerisms. Whether it was ingrained, or an unconscious acceptance… it was a conversation he'd rather outright ignore "Wait, are you asking me to hack the government database to include a person, which I have to generate fake details about, without leaving a single trail that'll lead back to me…?"
There was a long pause, Daniel meekly agreeing with the request "Yes…"
"I could… but it's very illegal. What did this person do? Murder someone? Seeking asylum here?"
"I can't tell you… Just that they need a form of identification, made up… on the spot."
There was a heavy sigh reverberating through the receiver. It sounded like the man was planning to say no. "Okay, I'll do it. But I need a few details, including a picture of your important friend."
"They're not a boyfriend, if that's what you're implying."
"Well, they must be in some form or another, important to you… to ask me for such a favour. I'm to assume you want neither of your fathers to find out about this?"
"Yes, because one will tease while the other will try to infringe on my private life. Neither of which I want right now."
"So, what's their name?"
"Killua… Ah… Killua Cilka."
"That sounds… very made up."
"Fine… Kyle Cilka."
"No, no, no… Killua sounds fine. The Cilka part sounds very forced. Are they escaping the Mafia by chance?"
"None of that sort. I don't know their surname…"
"They could be an assassin hired to kill you."
Well, they did try to kill me the first day they met me… so it's not necessarily wrong "None of that sort. I'm just trying to help a friend out. They've been through a lot… and I do mean a lot."
"I'm charging you extra for this…"
"I know… but I trust not only them, but you as well. What do you need?"
"Their name, sex… or gender, I am talking to you after all. Area of birth? Current living residence… and mobile numbers, etc. Information you can give me, that will help me, make this process as smooth as possible."
"Well… you're going to hate me. Killua Cilka, born… we'll say the 11th of the 6th… 1987. Assigned Male at birth. Born in the Republic of Padokea. They come from a highly toxic family, which is why they're currently living here, with me…"
"You're kidding me… That's almost nothing at all. I still need a photo of them, which may or may not flag a system. That's my biggest problem with this. I'll create a fake ID at the start, it's just creating a back door into TWO separate countries to generate this information is going to be a pain."
"Then they were born here, but parents come from Padokea…"
"That's even worse, because I have to make them up as well. Wait, maybe I don't… Are they by chance… Trans?"
"Technically speaking… yes. But that means you'll have to say they were assigned Female at Birth."
"When generating an ID like that, cutting out the family is an easy thing. If the birth certificate says one thing, but the ID says something else, there will be less flags for having the parents cut out. Or I could outright lie and say they're an orphan. But in terms of job experience and all that stuff, it'll be up to your friend to fake it till they make it. That kind of stuff… I can't do because you have given me zero leads into what kind of person they are."
"I'm still thankful for you assisting me. It'll mean a lot… not just for them, but me as well."
"That means…?"
"I'm not sure, but now I have to do something far more awkward now…"
"What's that…?" He bit his tongue, regretting his words. He was about to go back on his question, to say he changed his mind, but it was too late.
Daniel looked away, even though the man on the other end will have no way of telling he did that "I promised… that I'd help them buy an adult toy."
"And that's where I sign off." The man let out a long sigh. He'd fallen into that trap "Remember, I still need a photo… where they look miserable in life. You know how it is… we gotta look like we're the leader of a Drug Cartel, taking a mugshot."
Daniel chuckle at that; for once he agrees. Even his Working with Children's doesn't put him a favourable light, he looks like he should be nowhere near children thanks to that photo "Getting the photo will be far easier… than obtaining anything else."
"I'll get to work then, send it soon." With a click, the call was ended, Daniel once more sighing. Now he has to ask Killua for a photo so he can send it to Annex to use for the ID.
He hopes Annex can do that, because the last thing he wants for Killua, is to be put in any danger.
It's not like they'll be flagged for being involved in crime… they just got here. Wait, would earth have a Crime database for Aliens. If they got here, that means there has to be other Alien species out there… or even on earth.
Just when he thought of the worst-case scenario, he remembered one key point. Killua barely has an understanding of Human terminology, much less biology. Had they already been to this planet in the past, they'd have a better understanding of mannerisms and terms, even the day and night cycle wouldn't have thrown them off.
It's not like they have them on a database…
At least… he hopes they don't have a partial name. It'll get real, awkward for him… if someone shows up asking for Killua, by his full name like his crazy ex did to Killua.
Drawn deep in his thoughts, he didn't notice his alien friend strutting towards him, a towel over their head "So, who were you talking to?"
"A friend about you… mainly about getting you a-" Daniel looked up, eyes meeting Killua's abs before he realised, he had been staring downward, not forward. Rather than looking up, his eyes remained glued to the spot.
The first time he saw it, he thought it was a texture… not scars. However, now that he's actively looking… he wishes he could know more about the situation. He knows the alien won't talk about it, because it was considered traumatic. Even now, he doesn't believe the alien will talk about it.
He just wants to know who, or mainly why someone would harm such a beautiful being? Was it because of their beauty, or something way more sinister?
"What's on my chest? Did I miss a spot?"
Daniel's eyes glanced up "No, it's just… your scars. I would say curiosity got the better of me… but, as the idiom says, curiosity killed the cat, and you most certainly have some of their features."
Killua's eyebrow was raised, inquisitive about the kind of reasoning behind the man's rambling "What on earth are you on about now? Is this another idiom?"
"Yes… long story short. I want to know about your scars." Killua's features fell, mouth about to open but Daniel interjected before they could say anything "But you have your privacy, so I know when to not push my limits. It's just… not hitting on you, but why would someone harm such a beautiful body."
He really hopes it wasn't Killua that hurt themselves, because that's a topic he knows better than to broach.
It doesn't help that he deemed Killua to have a beautiful body. Even if, he added a prefix to the compliment, arguing he wasn't hitting on the alien… What he has said, if given an outside perspective, and what he only knows about his friend so far… he'd hit on them without hesitation.
However, he knows it's much more complicated than that. For one, Killua is a completely different species, an alien he barely knows about their biology.
Sure, Killua not only doesn't mind about getting into the pants of somebody else and they, themselves have needs that need to be satisfied.
It's just that HE is holding himself back, refusing to take the plunge… trying some alien species' Acronis, if he's to be specific. No matter how enticing that smell is, he still needs to overcome the fact that the last person he dated was terrible for him.
Even though Killua might not ultimately be the same as Yannick, throwing himself into the arms of another is the possible thing he could do for himself.
The man shifted his attention away from the alien, "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable from the compliment, or if my remark touched on a sore topic."
"Apology accepted. But it's still not getting you out of buying me a… sex toy." Killua added emphasis to the sex part of the sentence, not just because they wanted to. They were trying to make it very clear, that after being denied one avenue, they still needed something to satisfy their sexual urges.
If a dildo can get that job done, they're gonna need get their hands on one.
"I know… although, sorry to abruptly change the topic. I need a favour from you…"
"Why me?"
"Is it possible… to take a photo of you, while your hologram is up?"
"May I ask why…?"
"It's to get you a fake ID."
Killua blinked once at the human, wondering why they needed a photo. Such a concept from where they're from would be considered obsolete. Also, considering they're using a hologram while on earth, taking a photo of them would be pointless. Especially, when other species would have better technology to bypass such a primitive system. Then again… Daniel did argue it'll be a fake ID, so them arguing over the matter could be pointless since it's by no means a photo of them "Such a primitive concept."
"Oh…" Daniel crossed his arms, "You don't have IDs?"
"We do. But ours can be scanned, as certain technologies, like this hologram allow us to hide our true features… making such a concept pretty much useless to us."
"Oh… so, there's things out there that's better than your hologram thingi?"
"Yes… there's technologies much better than this out there. This, was off the cusp change, to already existing technology. There's one out there that allow someone to completely hide themselves among other species. Plus, it doesn't help that mine is easily screwed with if they touch me, mainly on the skin. It'll fizzle on the spot they touched. Although… I'm not a complete idiot to allow someone to do such a thing."
"I see…" Daniel uncrossed his arms, "Well, unless you can somehow gain access to that technology, or they come out with scannable IDs in the next two weeks… We're still going to need that photo." As Killua pouted, Daniel continued "But the idea of your species having a scannable ID, is way better than us having to carry around ours… in our pockets or wallets."
"Wallets?"
"The thing I grabbed before pulling out my card to pay for things."
"Right…"
"Now, can I take your photo?"
"Sure…" The alien left to grab their device.
Daniel quickly added something before they could come back "Grab one of my button-up shirts. We can't have you half-naked in the photo."
Killua waved the man off, leaving to find something that matched the description.
During this time, the man was starting to panic. He was falling deeper into the pit he was digging, almost hyper fixated on Killua's naked body. That smell earlier, mixed in with the sight and personality, only makes him desire his alien friend.
He entered the kitchen, opening up the cabinet where he keeps his medication. Grabbing the bottle, he saw only a few pills were left. He'll need to ask his father where he can order more. After taking one, from the corner of his eye, he saw Killua was at the door frame, looking directly at him.
The man raised an eyebrow "What, it's medication?"
"Well, the medication smells like shit… but also, oddly familiar. I can't place my mind on it…"
Daniel grinned slyly at his friend, "Is someone smelling themselves perhaps."
"I just had a shower… I smell like…" Killua had to think about it for a second "Strawberries and cinnamon."
Daniel chuckled, "I know… I helped you buy those… remember. Maybe it smells similar to something from where, you're from… However, I need to take these from time to time. I kind of need it to remain sane…" From my thoughts.
"Alright…" Killua didn't believe Daniel for a second. There was something about the way he said it. Still, they have secrets… so they can't chastise Daniel for having some "but you better not breath on me."
"Right…" Pulling out his phone, Daniel made his friend stand still, staring blankly ahead. He took a photo, noting how even when Killua was forced to pose, they still had this look about them, a threatening nature that made him believe Killua was hiding their true strength. How he wished he could just walk up to them and give their muscles a quick squeeze.
He wondered if Killua would fit in with the gym culture, or would they be the odd one at said gym. Rather than fixating his mind on those muscles, he posed a question about them "Do you work out for those… abs or muscles?"
"Well… they don't grow on me, so, yes? Is there a reason for such an odd question?"
"Is a gym such a concept where you're from?"
"Probably… Is it similar to a training hall? We can do anything from weapons training, or exercising…"
"That sounds more like a Barracks, makes me think you're a soldier or something…"
"Something of that sort…" Killua hummed, deflecting the conversation "I'm sure you have something similar here."
"A police academy, perhaps… our version for local protection. Then we've got the military, navy and I would assume Alien special forces…"
"Alien special forces? Should I be concerned…" The alien acted indifferent, especially considering how Daniel pose it, it sounded more like he was joking, than telling the absolute truth.
"Well, I would assume we do. There's no way I'm the first one finding an alien. The government would try to keep that under wraps."
"If I am…?"
"Then it's my honour to run into a very attractive species, and not the kind that wants to gobble me up."
Killua shifter their gaze to the man, "Are you talking about Hydrillauxious?"
"Sorry… say that again, but slower."
"Hydri-llau-xious, a type of flesh-eating carnivore. If one of those landed here at one point, it would have caused a mass genocide. They're insanely difficult to take down… and their skin is highly toxic to most lifeforms."
"Huh…"
"What you mean by, huh? One landed here?"
"Possibly… a very long time ago, we had something we called the black plague. It was stopped, or as we call it… vaccinated. But it took millions of lives before we found a cure for it. But that was more of a highly infectious disease. If you say one of them are hard to take down… I don't think almost 700 hundred years ago, we had one land here. The kind of weapons we had back then… I don't think it'll be able to take one down."
"If it had… and you did manage to kill it back then, you'd be very lucky to have survived after that attack."
"You've killed one… I assume?"
"I haven't, but one of my parents has. They were in team where they had to hunt one down… a few of the others survived. But I'll be damned, if I'm ever put in a position where I have to hunt and kill one…"
"Then that parent… they would be considered strong?"
"Most likely… but I don't want to dwell on that. How about your parents? You got anyone that you could be considered strong?"
"One of my parents helped capture a loose crocodile… He forced it's head down, while the others bound and tied it up. It was released back into the wild though… not killed. Though, I don't expect to see him arm wrestling a crocodile any time soon."
"That's a thing here…?"
"Oh God, no… you won't see a human wrestling an animal anytime soon." Daniel dismissed the idea, "That'd be very weird though."
"I assume this guy you're talking about is the… cop?"
"Yes, but if you want to be technical… Police Officer. If your body type is anything to go by… you'd probably fit right in. I mean, you're excruciatingly buff… also you ran for a couple of hours probably without stopping to my work place. So, you got endurance as well…"
Killua looked away awkwardly "Well, I guess I did come to you… for legitimate reasons. If I didn't leave, that guy would have caused a ruckus in your street, provided I went back inside."
"You're right about that…" a soft smile escaped his lips, "you also did stop me getting sucker punched."
"I would do that again…"
Daniel closed his eyes, unable to stop himself from smiling at the situation "I'm glad…"
Even though you told me not to do it? Killua wanted to ask, but seeing the man's expression, it was probably wise not to say anything. He seemed genuinely happy about their statement.
