KnightOfZaku: It's not a bad idea. And I do plan to take this continuity all the way to Victory Gundam. But the problem with the story you're presenting is that it effectively makes Adrian a one-off of Char, with him even getting his own repeat of Newborn Neo-Zeon (although it could turn into a full-fledged war with the resources occupying Mars will provide) I will say this though. There will be a 4th Neo-Zeon Conflict, likely to concur with Hathaway's Flash. I'm also going to try to link the various continuities of Gundam (0083, Zeta, Char's Counterattack) into a single story line.
Side 2, Hatte, Island Iffish, January 7th UC 0079
Island Iffish was completely surrounded by Musais of both Early and mid production types. Mobile Suits circled the perimeter.
"Why the heck were we ordered to leave this colony untouched?" Ryan wondered over the radio,
"No clue." Ryan could almost hear Mash's shrug.
He turned to where MW-01 Workers were painting over the glass.
'What are they doing?' He wondered,
Inside the Colony
A man raised his assault rifle in the air and fired wildly in the general direction of the workers. "Damn Zeeks! Come get some!"
"Don't waste ammo!" A security officer chided.
From the back of a truck, Yuki Shiroi looked around at the people sitting beside him. Was this it? Were they all going to their deaths?
"Yuki!" A girl's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Fang Li!" He turned around, "Where are you going?"
"We're evacuating to the shelter! And you?"
"Docking bay guard duty!" He stood up on the truck, and jumped
Fang Li gasped as he barely climbed onto her family's SUV. "Don't do that again! You could've died!"
"I'm tougher than that!" Yuki chirped, "Lets go, I'll escort you there!"
The SUV pulled into the shelter, and Fang Li was about to go in when she noticed Yuki sitting alone, and went to him.
"Do you think...all the other Colonies were lost to them?"
"Probably." Yuki nodded,
Fang-Li looked down sadly, "We'll be okay, right?"
Yuki wasn't sure what to say, so he said: "Yeah, the Forces will come for us."
"You mean...the Federation Forces?"
"Yeah. They won't leave us here,"
As time progressed, Ryan Sahalin got a worsening feeling about this entire operation.
As the windows were finally fully covered, a flare shot up from one of the workers. And several of the small tanker craft attached to the Musai's began to detach and move toward the colony, along with several MS-05B Zaku Is with gas-tanks on their backs.
As one floated by him, Ryan's worst fears flashed before his eyes as he read the words: DANGEROUS CHEMICAL. MOVE GENTLY.
"This...is nuts." He gasped, "That's gas. Poison gas."
"G3 Gas." Gaia said grimly, "They're going to wipe out the entire colony, nice and quick."
As if responding to his emotions, his MS-06A Zaku IIs mono-eye focused on Gaia's. "You knew?" Ryan asked incredulously, "You knew we we're about to commit the genocide of nearly 40 million people?!"
"What difference would it make?!" Gaia shot back, "This came from the top. Even past Grand Admiral Dozle or Rear Admiral Kycilia."
"I would've liked to know!" Ryan said,
"I agree with the kid." Ortega said, "At least get the chance to ask for a reassignment! I'm a soldier, I'm not a murderer."
"News flash: Murder is in the job description." Gaia said coldly. "It's too late now…"
"Hey Yuki, did you know your name means snow in Japanese?"
"No way. My parents said it meant 'brave'!"
"Nope. Your full name is Yuki Shiroi right? So Snow White, or White Snow!" She giggled
Yuki flushed a deep shade of red, "W-why are you laughing?" He stammered,
"Snow White is the name of a princess from an old story my parents used to read me."
"So you're saying Yuki is a girl's name?"
"No." Fang-Li lied jokingly, her face betrayed the truth.
Yuki laughed, "You should get in the shelter…" He said solemnly
Fang Li said nothing, but pulled Yuki close and kissed him on the lips. Blushing furiously, Yuki leaned into the kiss nonetheless.
"I'll see you then," Fang nodded,
"See you." Yuki waved,
"Fox One is away." An MS-05B Zaku I fired a missile into the colony, it flew into smog before flashing, signifying it's rupture.
"Fox two is away." Another Zaku I stepped forward and fired, then Gas infusers moved forward, and began pumping gas into more rockets.
Minutes later,
'So...cold.' Yuki shivered, 'Why is it...so cold?'
He stood, and looked up, "Hey...snow!" He smiled weakly, reaching out for nothing, "It's snowing! I need to tell Fang Li!"
"Fang Li! It's snowing!" He approached the bunker, "Fang Li! Let me in!" He approached the bunker, "Fang Li! Can you hear me?!" He began to slump, "F-fang...Li…"
Although no one would ever find this out, Yuki Shiroi would be the last person to die within Island Ifish.
'Fang...Li…' Ryan heard a boy whisper
"What the...Gaia did you say something?" He asked,
"No." Gaia shrugged, "One of you?"
"No sir."
"Not a chance."
Ryan was about to dismiss it when suddenly, his throat tightened as if he was being choked. 'W-What the?!' He began coughing, and as he did, images flashed on his Zaku's screen,
A boy slumped against a shelter door.
A sister cradling her baby sibling, both dead by G3.
"Air!" He gasped, "Need, air!"
He writhed, and wiggled erratically out of his seatbelt,
"Ryan? Ryan!" Mash's voice was laced with worry,
Ryan ignored him as he began to reach for the door, but passed out, his last words being-
"How...cruel."
Following the pumping of G3 Chemical Gas by MS-05 Zaku Is, the entire population of Side 2's Capital Banchi - Island Iffish - was wiped out.
The colony was then pushed into freefall towards South America's Guinea Highlands, where Jaburo - the headquarters of the Earth Federation Forces - lay.
The Tianem Fleet would soon engage with the Colony's escorts in a desperate bid to halt the colony...
"Gaia! On your left!" Mash shot a Saberfish and it exploded.
"Got it!" He slammed his Heat Hawk into an oncoming Saberfish and it exploded.
'Too bad Ryan passed out on us, he'll be fine though.' Ortega sighed,
...Ultimately their efforts to completely destroy the colony would prove in vain, but not all was lost. The colony, due to the damage sustained, broke into three, with two parts landing in various oceans, but one, unfortunately, infamously landed directly on the Australian continent in the city of Sydney.
The colony drop ripped through Earth's atmosphere and crust, and the following disasters would kill nearly half of Earth's population…and the subsequent battles in space would leave entire sides in complete ruin.
January 8th, UC 0079, E.F.S.F Gran Colombia
It would begin with a scream. It reverberated throughout the entire ship, and could be heard throughout the entire living quarters.
"T-The sky!" Rose screamed, "Why is the sky falling?! It's breaking apart!" She kicked and struggled against an invisible enemy, screaming all the while. By now most of the ship had woken up, Bright, friend he is, tried to calm her down, but was socked in the face.
In the end, Rose was sedated and taken to the med bay...
January 14th, UC 0079, 6 days later
After a mere week and a half to get accustomed to piloting a genuine space fighter, and six days after her 'episode' as it was now infamously known, they were already being deployed. On the Gran Colombia, many of them were pilot cadets from Nijimegen or the Space Force Academy, and most of their training had been done in three years of simulations, without any practice within an actual fighter.
"So they're deploying overgrown construction machines, so what? We have numbers, and resources on our side. We can't be beat!"
"You did see the footage of Mare Smythii?" Another soldier said, "Those things - Zakus they call them - are beasts!"
Rose filtered out the chatter, and focused on painting her assigned Saberfish a fair golden color.
"Why thank you, Captain Bright." Rose replied sarcastically, "What's next, I'm out of dress-code because I'm wearing a tank-top?"
"I...didn't say anything." He said in confusion,
Rose looked at him, and sighed. "I assume you're here to tell me how 'it's against regulations.'"
Bright sighed, "So you do know." He threw his hands up, "Why gold?"
"It's a nice color."
"It stands out too much. They'll think you're an ace." Bright sighed
"Maybe I will be." Rose joked
"Pride before the fall."
"I did say maybe."
Bright looked up, "Are you-"
"Okay?" Rose finished, "I'm fine. It was a nightmare about the Drop."
The Drop, was the name for the colony drop, from what they heard, the largest chunk of the colony fell on Sydney, completely wiping the city and the area around it off the map entirely. There was nothing except damaged colony pieces and a massive gulf where Sydney was.
This was Rose's explanation with everyone, but the weird thing few noticed was that there was no way Rose could've even known about the drop.
Nonetheless, the fact sailed right over their heads, and after a while, everything returned to normal, or at least. As normal as can be, anyway.
A/N: For those of you who are somewhat confused about what's happening. I'll spell it out for you. Rose and Ryan are awakening as Newtypes. They're both extremely powerful but unfortunately their minds aren't used to the sudden activation of abilities due to all the death and pressure they're being exposed to. They'll struggle with their powers initally, but believe me when I say they're going to get OP.
