Wilbur took a quick glance at his phone to see a text from Techno to which the brunette immediately responded with,

Wilbur: Cool, entering a suspicious room w/ Toms and a ghost. Ttyl

Then he ignored the rest of his twin's texts.

If the house felt off, this room was definitely worse. There was what Wilbur assumed to be an egg sitting in the center of the room covered by glowing red vines. Tommy looked a bit confused at the sight of it. He was possibly a bit concerned by it, nothing more. Wilbur however could feel the egg calling to him. Wanting, begging for him to come closer. The older hunter wanted to do just that even though he knew it was a bad idea. He took a step closer, then another until Tommy distracted him.

"Will?" the younger asked, glancing at his brother in a confused manner. "I found the body, well, er- bodies."

Wilbur snapped out of the trance to look at what the younger was trying to point out. He saw a group of skeletons surrounding the egg. Each dressed in what were once fancy outfits, but have fallen into disrepair along with the rest of the house. Wilbur tried to look around the room, but his gaze kept returning to the egg. He still felt as though the egg was calling to him through the light humming in his head. Tommy however was still unaffected and approached the skeletons, lighter in hand.

"Wilbur, you gonna help?" he asked.

Wilbur shook his head and gestured to the door, signaling that he needed to get out. Tommy nodded, making a mental note to annoy his brother about it later.

Wilbur stepped out and shut the door to see the ghost just staring emptily at the door as, after a minute or two it bursted into flames. Wilbur smiled at the realization that the case was complete, but it disappeared the moment he remembered the egg. Thankfully the humming stopped as soon as the door had shut.

He pulled out his phone to see multiple messages from his pink-haired twin.

Techno: ???

Techno: Don't do that

Techno: Wilbur?

Techno: WILBUR???

Techno: If you die I will find a way to resurrect and kill you

Techno: I'm inside now

Techno: Where are you???

Will awkwardly responded with the casual

Wilbur: hi

There was the stomp of Techno's angry footsteps as he ran down the hallway and they stopped when he got close to Wilbur.

"Really," Techno sighed as he rolled his eyes, "Hi? I had been-" He stopped himself before he could say anymore. He didn't want to ruin his reputation.

"Worried about us?" Wilbur finished and Techno playfully slapped his arm. "Speaking of which, how did you find us? The ghost led us through too many hallways to keep track of."

Techno pointed down the hallway he came down. "Kitchen's right down there and I was tracking your cell."

"Oh."

"Where's Tommy?"

As if on cue, the younger brother's voice shouted out of the room. "Techno, you've gotta come and see this. It's really pog and weird. Like even weird for us, kind of weird."

Techno shrugged and opened the door. Wilbur immediately heard the humming start up again and he wasn't the only one Techno glanced around. He seemed to have heard it as well.
