Techno entered the room with Wilbur and he was shocked at what he saw. There, on the floor, actually reading a book was Tommy. Sure, there was a giant egg in the center of the room and that was strange, but Tommy reading was on a whole other level.

The pink-haired twin pulled out a vial of holy water and splashed his youngest brother with it.

"What the hell mate?" Tommy asked as he glared up at both of his older brothers.

"Just making sure that you're really Tommy," Techno chuckled.

"I am Tommy," the younger one shouted.

"Oh, you sure about-" he paused mid-sentence upon hearing the humming noise. "Does anyone else hear that?"

Wilbur raised his hand and Tommy shut the book and gave the two a confused look.

"What noise?" he asked. "Are you two pranking me?"

"What do you mean what noise? How can you not hear that?" Wilbur asked the youngest.

"I don't hear anything."

The twins made eye contact, both of them knowing that they should really get out of this room and the house. It was moments like these that they had managed to convince their blond brother that they had some form of twin telepathy.

"Tommy, c'mon. We're leaving," the older of the twins ordered, pushing a strand of pink hair out of his face. Tommy nodded and stood up and the trio left the room, shutting the door behind them. In their rush to leave none of them noticed the paint that had been accidentally scraped away by a teenager's high tops, but a masked individual hiding in the shadows did. For the first time in a long time they felt as though they weren't wearing the mask to fake a smile. For once their expression matched that of their mask.

Techno decided to go back the way that he had entered. He wasn't too keen on discovering the maze that Wilbur claimed to have followed to get to the room. Tommy walked along, clutching the book tightly in his arms, occasionally sparing a glance down at it.

Techno calmly made his way into the driver's seat while Tommy ran past and shoved Wilbur out of the way so he could ride shotgun. This started an argument that resulted in both of them being forced to sit in the back seat of the car by Techno, none of them aware of the masked individual watching them through the dark from the inside of the mansion.

The figure pulled down his mask as the headlights of the car drifted off into the night. His green eyes flashed to their natural black state. The book was gone, a minor inconvenience for him, but it could always be retrieved. What those hunters had unleashed was much more important. There was a reason the egg had been sealed away after the masquerade massacre, warded off against every creature imaginable. The demon smirked, things were about to get a whole lot worse.
