A.N. Sorry I wasn't able to update this yesterday, but I was really busy. So I'm going to update this tomorrow to make up for it (I wasn't going to originally). But anyway, I'm going to be bringing in another character from a previous story in the series. While I recommend you read The Lost Champion (which is about Victor), you don't need to read it in order for this to make sense. But nonetheless, I hope you enjoy.

CHAPTER 6

Give and receive.

The moment the group made it to Professor Burnett's lab, Lillie bolted in and ran straight for the computer. She logged in under Elio and sent a message to the Galarian Champion, Victor. She'd heard that his reign had been almost as successful and impressive as Elio's, so she was curious to meet the man.

By the time the others had said hi to Burnett and walked up to Lillie, she'd already composed the email. It read: "Champion Victor of Galar, this is Lillie, the fiancé of Champion Elio. Elio is in grave danger. He was imprisoned in an Ultra Wormhole by a psychopath named Faba. We have our people who will come and help us, but we need modes of transport that'll help us traverse through Ultra space. Any chance you could lend us some of your region's Rotom Bikes?" Then she hit send. Now all they had to do was wait.

But Victor's reply didn't come right away. In fact, it didn't come at all that day. By the end of the day, Lillie was frantically pacing around the Lab, checking the screen for Victor's reply every two minutes. At the end of the day, Burnett and Kukui had to close down the lab. Lillie begged to be allowed to stay the night in there, but since they had to set up a security system in order to prevent a break-in, they couldn't allow her in, in case she tripped the alarm.

So instead, she slept in a hotel with Hau and Selene, just in a different room from the two. "If she knew the kinda stuff Elio did in Ultra Space while she was in Kanto, what do you think she'd do?" Selene asked Hau as they listened to Lillie's impatient pacing in the other room. "Well," Hau responded. "First, she'd throttle us for letting him do that. Then, she'd only worry a lot more about how he's surviving in whichever dimension he was dragged into. Especially since the Ultra Beast that dragged him in has a bit of a grudge against him."

Selene stared. "What happened?" she asked. Hau winced. "You remember when Alola went slightly dark 10 years ago?" he asked her. When she nodded, he said, "Well, that was due to this pokémon called Necrozma absorbing all of the light from the region using the power of one of Lillie's pokémon, a Lunala that she called Nebby. Elio kicked its ass and returned the light, which severely weakened it. Guess it's been brooding on that ever since."

It took quite a lot to startle Selene. But this news did widen her eyes a bit. "So that's why Lillie is so worried about this" she said. Hau nodded gravely. "I was wondering why. He was in them all the time." The two of them continued to listen to Lillie nervously pacing around her room for a while, before getting too tired and falling asleep together.

Thankfully for Lillie, Victor's reply came the next day. Burnett woke them up to let them know. Lillie never in her life got dressed as fast as she did then. She bolted down the stairs as fast as she could and ran down to the Lab as fast as she could. Just as Burnett said, Victor had replied.

"Hello Lillie. Sorry I didn't reply to such an urgent message sooner, I was finishing with the Gym tournament. The news of your Champions abduction into a wormhole concerns me. Of course, I can lend you some Rotom Bikes. But first, I want to talk real time, just to confirm how many you need. I need to see some sort of way they can be useful. No offense meant but our scientists have recently begun working on new ways for our bikes to traverse new terrains. Let me know if that suits you."

Without hesitation Lillie replied that it was fine, then asked Selene to explain the terrain of the Wormholes. Selene nodded. Soon, Victor appeared on the big screen. The group was taken completely by surprise by just how young he was. They knew that he was a young man, but they were staring at a child, no older than 17. Victor noticed their amazement and bashfully rubbed the back of his head. "I bet you were picturing someone older" he said awkwardly.

Lillie shook herself. "Sorry about that," she replied, bowing slightly. "So, can you show us the bikes that would be wise for us to ride on?" Victor bowed hi head. "Of course," he replied. "But first, I need to see the terrain of Ultra wormholes." At this, Selene stepped forward. "It depends on which wormhole he was sent through," she told him. "Excuse me for a moment while I work out which one." Then, with a few locks of Elio's hair attached to the Moon flute, Selene played it.

After a few minutes, she put it down and declared to the room, "He's in a Wormhole that's just large caves with giant bodies of water. No easy feat to work through, especially when we're talking about Ultra Beasts." The group froze. "Did you just say, 'Ultra Beasts'?" Gladion asked. Selene looked grim. "A whole lot of them," she replied. "All the same species. They were a kind of jellyfish looking things."

Lillie felt her blood run cold. "No," she said, panic rising in her voice. "Not them. Not Nihilago!" Victor spoke up at that moment. "Sounds like you're going to need to get him out of there quickly," he said, before moving to the side to show them something. "For that, we can give you these. Floating Rotom Bikes. They stay floating forever. I think they'll be perfect." Lillie was still in the throws of a panic attack over thinking about Elio being stuck in Ultra Space with a bunch of Nihilago, so Hau answered for her. "Those'll be great, thank you."

Victor bowed again. "No problem," he replied. "What're Champions for? Now, how many do you think you'll need?" Gladion quickly read through everything that Lillie wrote. "ehh," he said finally, "How many do you have?" Victor talked to someone out of the camera's line of sight. Then he said, "Roughly 18,000. Why?" Gladion read the notes again. "Would we be able to take the lot?" he asked.

Victor stared in amazement at this. Then he had another conversation with someone they couldn't see. "Sure," he said finally. "But if I do this, Elio owes me something." "What?" Hau asked, getting ready to start arguing. "A good battle" Victor replied. This made Hau smile in spite of himself. "Oh, I'm sure he'd be more than willing to take you up on that" Hau replied. Victor smiled.

"That's great," he replied. "So I should be in Alola sometime next week with the bikes. In the meantime, I recommend that you prepare yourselves with everything else you'll need for this." Hau and Gladion thanked the Galarian Champion for his help. Victor responded that it was no problem, then ended the call.

Sorry if that ending was a bit rushed, but I never learn my lesson. It's now 2:30 am and I'm still trying to update this. Also, for continuity's sake, I'd just like to say, that despite the fact I never outright said it, Elio sent a whole load of able bodied trainers to Galar to help find Victor during the events of the Lost Champion. But anyway, I'll see you tomorrow with chapter 7.
