"Georgie, you can wake up now," the blond demon laughed as he gently shoved his friend.
"Five more minutes mom," the other demon's tired voice muttered.
"Isn't your mom dead?"
"Shut up Dream," George muttered and lazily attempted to slap the other.
"And here I was convinced that demons couldn't sleep."
"What is it now?"
"The book, the Revival Book, was taken by some hunters."
George sat up and brushed his messy brown hair away from his dual colored eyes. "Pardon? But wasn't the egg preventing people from leaving and the warding from anything not human from getting in, so how did the hunters manage to get the book?"
"One of them wasn't affected or something."
"And the egg?"
"They managed to scratch away at some of the warding."
"Then we should be able to release him."
"Just because we're able to doesn't mean that we should. We don't know how powerful he is, nor his allegiance. For all we know he could be with the angels or the humans."
"You're just scared that he'll overthrow you."
"I'm not scared of anything," Dream shot back defensively, resulting in a snicker from George, who found the blond demon's reaction funny. Dream glared, which only made his colorblind friend (at least that's what historians would say he was) laugh more.
"Shouldn't we be trying to find these hunters instead of laughing at me?" Dream suggested, hoping to change the subject. Sure, it made him happy to see George smiling and laughing, even at his expense, but they did need to find the book before the hunters did something stupid with it.
The Revival Book is a dangerous book that has the capability to bring people back from the dead. The only downside to that is that humans are reckless and unpredictable. They'd cause chaos and make everything in hell worse for demons by freeing souls from demon deals. He also couldn't risk the angels finding out about the book. The demon and angel "alliance" wasn't very well balanced and the slightest mistake could start an all out war between the two. Not that Dream minded a little violence, he just didn't want to see JSchlatt's face more than necessary.
"We could, but do you have any idea where they are?" the color-blind demon asked.
"Not a clue."
"Then do you have a plan?"
"I do, we have demons go and find them. Then, once we know where they are we find them and we take that book back."
