A/N: So...I kind of want to apologize. This chapter is somewhat rushed and a lot of stuff was crammed into it for the sake of the story. Also, for the record, yes, the Noisy Fairy will still be a thing later in the story.

Dragonngo: I have a plan for both ReZeon and the Mars Zeon. In fact, I think you'll find a lot of call-forwards to future characters in this chapter.

KnightOfZaku: Just wait for the next chapter, shit is about to get wild between the 300th Newtype Corps and Moore Brotherhood.

March 17th, UC 0079

Two weeks of consecutive success had earned the Moore Brotherhood fame within the Earth Sphere, now known as the Vengeful Ghosts of Moore or simply Ghosts of Moore, under the combined leadership of Claudia and Rose, they were much more successful, especially executing their hit and run operations.

At least, comparatively.

In reality, Rose knew it wouldn't be enough. The 'Living Dead Division' as they were called, apparently because they all had mechanical prosthetics of some kind, was getting smarter. Their casualty rate had gone from an average of 5 - 6 units to only 2 - 3. And the disparity between equipment was beginning to show.

And those weren't the only changes. Io had been bumped down from Flight Leader in favor of a 2nd Lieutenant, Yuu Kajima, and his Guinea Pig Team with a series of new FF-4 Toriares was added to the Moore Brotherhood's arsenal of pilots.

"Yo, Yuu." Rose greeted him as he came on board.

"It seems you can't avoid kicking ass, no matter how far we send you." Yuu laughed, and Rose chuckled.

"Girl's gotta prove her usefulness somehow." Rose said in response.

"Who's this guy?" Io came over,

"Yuu Kajima, we served together back at Luna II. He's the new secondary flight leader."

"Eh?" Io complained, "But that's my job!"

"Yeah, and no offense, you're shit at it." Rose said jokingly, "Besides, it provides you freedom to do what you want on the battlefield."

He grunted disdainfully, but went to check on his Saberfish. Rose looked around, the current Moore Brotherhood was a far cry from the half-staffed mess she'd arrived to support. Now, they filled the hangar with organized chaos. Mechanics regularly made their rounds, fixing and improving whatever they could. Pilots hung out in clusters, talking about their lives.

Claudia came up to her, "This is because of you, you know."

Rose looked at her, "Me?" She asked incredulously,

"You suggested the new tactics that got us where we are now. The Federation only gives a damn about us because you're here…" Claudia trailed off,

"Yes, but they're your men." Rose countered, causing her to gasp. "To be honest, I'm probably going to be transferred soon."

"How do you know?" Claudia asked,

"Gut feeling." Rose smiled sadly, "Then you'll be back to leading them."

"But…how?" She asked, "I'm not a natural like you are!"

"I don't think it's about being a 'natural'." Rose said, "It's about knowing that the post-mission casualty list aren't just a bunch of numbers and letters, but genuine people, but then being able to send them out to die anyway."

"That's impossible." Claudia said sadly,

"So is winning against Zeon. But we're doing it, aren't we?" Rose smiled at her.

Daryl flexed his fingers as a man came up to them, and greeted him. "Hey there."

"Fisher." Fisher was a veteran of the Living Dead Division, having lost his arm at Loum.

"I got news, Daryl." Fisher smiled. "The Zeon High Command is finally starting to pay us mind, now that the Moon front isn't so one sided."

"So?"

"They're sending in the Quad-Stars."

"The Black Quad-Stars of Loum?" Daryl raised an eyebrow,

"Ryan Sahalin." Billy nodded, "I'm just going to say this, if anyone can beat the Valkyrie at her own game, it's going to be him."

Flanagan Institute.

"L-lady Kycilia!" Flanagan said as the woman stepped out of her limousine. "I'm honored…what brings you here?"

"I have no time for flattery," Kycilia said simply, "I need Ryan Sahalin back. And quickly."

Behind her, Gaia, Mash, and Ortega followed her inside.

"Huh, doesn't look as wack as the rumors hyped it up to be." Ortega noted,

Suddenly, some children ran up to them. "Hi!" One of them waved,

"Kids?" Mash asked in confusion, and Gaia shrugged.

However, none of them could shake off that ever present feeling of…awareness. Like their noses had suddenly cleared after being blocked, they could pick up waves of…something. And it was all too dense here.

Suddenly, they heard a little girl squealing in delight, and Gaia poked his head in as Ryan dangled a young Haman Karn by her feet. The girl laughing all the while.

"Me next, me next!" A boy called,

"You'll get your turn, Omega." Ryan smiled,

Gaia gasped, Ryan, the seemingly always stoic pilot of their group, was playing with children.

Gaia couldn't help but chuckle, drawing his attention.

Ryan looked up, and quickly placed Haman down. "Gaia!" Ryan approached him, and Gaia grabbed him by the shoulders.

"This is what you've been doing? Playing big brother?" Gaia teased,

"It's alot more intensive than it looks." Ryan told him, "If you're here, then I assume…"

Ortega pounced upon him from behind, "You look way too relaxed! I hope your skills are still good!"

Mash came up and tucked Ryan under his armpit, "After all, we're getting the gang back together!"

Ryan smiled, "It's more of a question of whether you can keep up!"

"Uncle Ryan?" Haman approached him, "Who are they?" The children crowded behind them innocently. Somewhat scared of the burly appearance of the other Quad-Stars compared to the - admittedly - girly appearance Ryan had.

Ortega kneeled before one of them, "Heya, what's your name?"

The child looked dead into Ortega's eyes, then at Ryan.

Sniffled, and began to cry.

Gaia couldn't help it, he burst out into laughter, "Wow, I didn't know you were that ugly."

"I don't exactly see them crowding around you either!" Ortega shot back, flushed red with embarrassment.

Ryan kneeled before the crying Seven. "There, there. Uncle Ortega isn't that scary, it's just that he hurt his face, that's all."

"What kind of injury would cause something like that though?" Mash coughed, and Ryan shot him a look that said 'Shut it!' And Mash turned away innocently.

Seven stopped crying, and looked back at Ortega. "S-sorry if I hurt your feelings…" She said quietly,

"Not at all little one," Ortega bent down and patted her head, much to the girl's delight.

As if it broke a flood gate, the children became a lot more trusting of the other Quad-Stars, and crowded around them. Before long, the entire squad was enjoying themselves with the children of the Institute. Omega and Seven were on Ortega's shoulders. Newtype twins Gloria and Alicia were riding on Ortega's back, while Ryan was playing with Haman and Glemy.

"Ahem." Kycilia cleared her throat, "Ryan." She motioned for her, and Ryan was instantly on the defensive. His face now an emotionless mask, he put the twins down and followed Kycilia.

"What is it now?" Ryan asked,

"I'm forming a new unit. The 300th Newtype Squadron."

"Let me guess, you want Zeon's poster boy to be leading this unit."

Kycilia scoffed, "Rude, as ever." She smiled sarcastically, "But yes, you will be their Commander. I'm assigning you a fleet. A Gwazine-Class, two Musais, and two Zanzibars."

Ryan raised an eyebrow, "That much?" Then Ryan answered his own question, "We're going to Side 4."

Kycilia nodded, "We've received wind of a new project, Project V, the Federation has successfully developed mobile suits with beam weapons, something which - suspiciously - Dr. Minovsky refuses to work on. Stating he doesn't want to escalate the war."

"You think he's funneling them information?"

"I have no doubt he gave them plans at some point. It's not constant, otherwise we would've traced it, but it happened, and we're in this situation."

Ryan nodded, "So we're really going after the mobile suits?"

"Yes, from what we've gathered so far, we know that they call their suits Gundams. We've codenamed the one in Moore as the Golden Gundam."

Ryan nodded, "When do we leave."

"As soon as you're ready. Also-" She handed him a file, "-you may hand pick your pilots."

He flipped through it, many of his friends were on his list.

Alma Stirner

Age: 14

Description: Unresponsive to Psycommu systems. However, she shows an aptitude for high-speed close-combat mobile suits. She is also sensitive to the emotional states of others. This ability has caused her quite a bit of trouble in her youth, as it has made her somewhat unreserved to the point of brutal honesty.

Marion Welch

Age: 17

Description: An orphan from the Tigerbaum Colony, Marion is exceptionally responsive to mobile suits. Particularly the EXAM System developed by Dr. Chlust Moses. However, she is also the only one capable of activating this system for reasons unknown.

Char Aznable

Age: 19

Description: The notorious 'Red Comet' of Loum. His Newtype prowess is comparatively average, in contrast with some of the more prodigal members of the Institute and Zeon Army as a whole. However, he makes up for this with sheer skill surpassing many in the Zeonic army.

Breniff Oskar

Age: 23

Description: An ace pilot who made a name for himself in Side 4. Breniss Oxcar, or simply Breniss Ox has received the title of the - One Shot Killer - for his spectacular achievements in the Side. With nearly 55 EFSF and EFAF planes shot down - with another 3 ships to his record - he possesses unparalleled skill with snipers.

Johnny Ridden

Age: 19

Description: An ace pilot nicknamed the 'Crimson Lightning' for his red and black colored MS (Note; not to be confused with the Red Comet Char Aznable, commonly noted for his solidly red mobile suits). He scored fairly highly when tested for Newtype aptitude. Making him a prime candidate for the 300th Newtype Corps.

Miguel Gaia

Age: 28

Description: One of the Black Quad-Stars, strangely, he (along with Torres Ortega and Hannes Mash) has begun to show signs of unseen Newtype aptitude, despite having been noted as lacking it in earlier tests. This has led to the 'Exposure Theory'. Through high exposure to natural Psycommu waves (in this case, those of Ryan Sahalin) it is possible that one may evolve into a Newtype, and/or have existing abilities enhanced.

Ryan looked up at her, "I'm somehow turning the Quad-Stars into Newtypes?"

"It's a theory." Kycilia said, "But it has weight. Try our Cyber Newtype Programs. We had a girl, Lelia Raymond, and we exposed her to the naturals that were present here. It was rough, and we had to genetically modify her, but yes, she became responsive to Psycommu Waves."

Ryan inhaled, taking it all in. "I…had no idea."

"Again, this is a new field of study. We only just recently began studying it." Kycilia said,

Ryan tucked the files under his arm. "But on top of that…isn't this sudden?"

Kycilia shrugged, "This whole war has been sudden, Commander," She said in response.

That night, the Quad-Stars went out to enjoy a drink at a local bar.

"Promoted to Commander, and given command of a Gwazine? All within three months? That ain't something you see every day." Gaia mentioned

"Not to mention, these guys…are like some of the best. Nimbus Schterzen? Johnny Ridden? Char - frickin - Aznable?! Oh I'm going to enjoy bossing that punk around." Mash cheered

"I'm more worried about becoming one of these Newtype thingies, thanks to Ryan." Ortega said, and Ryan winced.

"I didn't mean anything by it. I mean, it's great! It means we can actually keep up with you now!" Ortega said,

"Yeah…it's just I'm worried that I might be forcing something upon you…" Ryan recollected seeing children dragged off for experiments. Only to come back with wounds stitched shut.

"Oh, that reminds me. The Nezak, how does it compare?"

Ryan smiles, "It's a monster of a machine. Trust me, a Zaku stands no chance."

"We'll be able to try it out soon enough."

March 27th, UC 0079; Side 4 - Thunderbolt Sector

"Eh~ what is this?" Rose asked,

"The RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam." The engineer noted, "It was used to develop the RX-78T-1 and RX-78-2. The EFF has cleared it for combat duty."

Rose nodded, "Io!" She called,

"What is it Rose?" Io came up to her,

"I got a present." She pointed to the Gundam, the engineer seemed surprised she picked Io so quickly, but said nothing. "Take care of it bud."

He saluted, "Yes ma'am!"

Side 3 - Zum City

Before long, Ryan was standing in front of over 40 pilots. The other Quad-Stars were lined up in black pilot uniforms at the top right of the formation. Next to them was Alma in a light blue pilots suit. Angelica was staring determidely ahead in a purple uniform next to her. Lalah was looking distantly at him in her standard tan/light orange pilots suit.

"If you've come for a massive speech, then this is the wrong unit." Ryan began, "I am Commander Ryan Sahalin, and this is the 300th Newtype Corps. One thing I'll tell you right now, I'm going to try to be as transparent as possible. Starting with what our mission is."

"Our objective is the Federation's Project V. A top-secret mobile suit development program. We are already aware of one successful subject. The Golden Gundam that's wrecking havoc in Moore, especially in the Thunderbolt Sector. We must put a halt to this project, either by capturing a Gundam unit, or destroying them."

"I'm going to tell you, you might be the best of Zeon, but the Golden Valkyrie will be unlike any pilot you've ever faced. In fact, I suspect they're a Newtype as well."

"Having said that, are you still willing to fight? If you want to turn and leave, I won't stop you."

None of them moved.

Ryan nodded, "Then we fight. There's nothing more to be said. We move out!"

"This is Zeon National, live covering the launch of the new 300th Newtype Corps led by none other than the Black Knight - Ryan Sahalin! As we can see, they are traveling in a series of cars…"

"Wow." Gaia said, "You can give Gihren Zabi a run for his money."

"I didn't say all that much." Ryan countered, but Gaia shook his head.

"It's not what you say, but how you say it." Gaia said, "No offense to the former PM, but I'm pretty sure Deikun wasn't all too alright up in the head, and yet most of Zeon still worships him as the second coming of Jesus."

Ryan chuckled, "You're right."

Gaia looked at him, "You'll do great. Don't stress about it too much."

A/N: I didn't mention this before, but need help. I need ideas on how to fill the gap between now and the main series. So please leave a review about what UC timeline series you might want to see, as well as any battle suggestions or ideas!

Also, for those of you who didn't get some of the subtler references, let me call them out.

Seven was Arlette Almage's name during her time in the Flanagan Institute. For those of you who don't know, Arlette Almage is one of the protagonists from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Twilight Axis ONA. She will also be a major character Post-Gundam Unicorn.

Omega, Alicia, and Gloria are characters from the A.O.Z Reboot series. Alicia and Gloria are the leaders of ReZeon, and will play a major role Post-Gundam Unicorn.

Omega is Alicia's fiancee and will play a role in my Char's Counterattack story (currently named: Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack: A New Narrative, but has also been referred to as Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack: Adrian's Assault).
