Cody and Matt Hawkes both had been High Mountain Rangers. Now they have families of their own and their kids are mostly grown up and they are following in their parents' footsteps. Someone from Matt and Cody's past has come back into their life. She will change Cody's life forever, if her past does not kill them first.

Josh was eating some snacks that were in the kitchen. "Jessica, did your mom make these cookies, very good," Josh said with a mouthful.

"No. it was that new resident at Aaron Bass's Lodge. She came to introduce herself and her daughter and brought us some treats," Jessica said.

"What was her name?" Josh asked.

"Jen and Hailey Montgomery, I believe," Jessica answered. "Seemed like a nice family. She came when you were off last week."

Jasper walked into the kitchen, "Thought we were not going to tell Josh about our visitor, so we can have all the goodies for ourselves."

They laughed. "Jasper, that lady was a friend of our dad, wasn't she?" Jessica asked.

"Yeah, he knew her when she was younger. He was extremely excited to see her," Jasper said.

"Thanks for the info and for sharing," Josh grabbed another cookie before leaving the room. Then with a cookie sticking out of his mouth he texted Cody to give him a heads up.
