For three, seriously ADHD demigods, the Strawhats' entrance to Gran Tesoro was a gold-infused nightmare. Even Annabeth was having trouble focusing amongst the golden rain, the attacking long-headed pirates, and the music thrumming so loudly it made everyone's bones vibrate to the beat of the drum.

"So this really is what it's like all the time here?" Leo shouted at Usopp as he ran past on Chopper's back, slingshot at the ready.

"What-? Ow!"
Chopper morphed back to brain point and burst into tears, "I'm sorry Usopp! I wasn't looking where I was going!"

Leo shrugged and tried tugging on Annabeth's arm, but she was too entranced by the battle raging all around them.

"Zoro's running on a sword," Leo could barely hear her mutter, "He shouldn't be able to do that; physics never fail me…how is he doing that?"

Leo left her to her ramblings; the battle appeared to be wrapping up anyway, though not because of anything the Strawhats were doing. Instead, tendrils of molten gold had shot out of the golden lake and snatched the enemy pirates off the Sunny. The other Strawhats were busy marveling over the casino as spotlights directed them to where they could anchor their ship, but something about the now solid-gold pirates made Leo uneasy.

He didn't get the chance to say anything about it though before the Strawhats had left the open sea behind and disappeared into the casino.

Percy couldn't control the gold, and it was freaking him out.

To be fair, Percy's luck with controlling liquids had been surprisingly strong so far, so when an enemy ship rammed into theirs, he instinctively tried summoning the molten gold underneath them. This only resulted in the faint hum of the ocean water miles away beyond the walls of the Gran Tesoro.

He considered mentioning this to someone as they followed Baccarat through halls so lavish that they could rival the halls of Olympus, but decided not to, for fear of someone teasing him for assuming he, the son of Poseidon, could control gold.

Baccarat lead the Strawhats to a white limousine laid with yet more gold. A turtle no bigger than Percy's head, wearing a captain's hat, a blue tie and red tinted glasses, sat at the front, ready to command the other turtles to take the car wherever he wanted.

"VIP guests ride in the lap of luxury," Baccarat said breathily, fluttering her eyes suggestively at Sanji and Usopp.

"I always knew I was a star!" Usopp grinned.

"I'll ride in the lap of your luxury any day, Baccarat!" Sanji declared boldly before attempting to kiss the woman's hand. She pulled away before he got the chance.

"Well if any of you stars need anything else, you just let me know," she said sweetly before slinking into the driver's seat, "But not before I give you the grand tour!"

"I have a bad feeling about this," Annabeth tried telling Nami, but the daughter of Aphrodite had berry signs for eyes and wasn't listening to a word anyone was saying.

"Being VIP without a reason never ends well," Percy added.

"We're supposed to be looking for Piper!" Leo tried tugging on Franky's arm.

Nobody paid them any attention and they all clambered into the limo.

"Let's party!" Luffy cheered.

"Your performance tonight was exquisite, Carina."

The purple haired beauty brushed a stray feather off her red feather boa before noticing that her master was offering her a glass of champagne. The two glasses made a tinkling sound as they clinked, swishing the bubbly liquid around before Carina brought it to her lips.

"Why thank you, but you were the real star, as always, Tesoro."

Clad in a bold, pink suit with brilliantly white sneakers, Tesoro had the look of understated regality down to a capital 'T'. Carina had been working for Tesoro for several months now and had seen firsthand the power the man commanded the second he entered any room on his godforsaken ship. Kami help any poor soul that piqued his interest for longer than a few moments.

Unfortunately, it would seem that her old friend Nami and her new crew were now in Tesoro's crosshairs. Carina needed to find a way to get them alone, but how?

"Sururururu, Baccarat has taken the Strawhats into the casino, boss," Tanaka giggled. Carina used her carefully-honed facial muscles to resist cringing at the weird little man's voice. Even after all this time on Gran Tesoro, Tanaka's voice still made her skin crawl.

"They seem to be doing quite well," Tanaka continued.

"Oh?" Tesoro raised a perfectly plucked, golden eyebrow. He glanced at Carina, "Well then it's high time they meet my girls. Bring them here."

Carina shot Tesoro a questioning look as Tanaka melted through the floor, "You need both of us?"

Tesoro's jaw clenched, "From what I've heard, Jackson could pose a real problem here. I trust you and Piper know what to do?"

Carina grinned, "Boss, we're the best of the best; those Strawhats won't know what hit them."
