Hello all! time for another update to Green Gaul, and oh boy people have been waiting for this one.
So, to address something that was brought up by a review of the whole "UA shouldn't be a University unless you rework the entire class structure and what not", I'm just going to say this.
This is a fan-fiction, based on a story that already doesn't follow all the typical "school norms" of a Japanese high school, and is training people to fight crime literally out of High School. So making the school into a University/College makes more sense to me, nor am I the first and only person to do that. If you don't like it, then I'm sorry for not gaining your interest, but for every single person that doesn't like that, there are about 10-15 that enjoy the story for what it is, a fun little romp of "What if the main character of this certain franchise, had this weird-ass power/ability."
That being said, I'm only going to comment on this subject this one time. After that, any more will be ignored.
Anyway, 'Three sides of the same coin' should be up soon, but due to schedules between Me, Pizza, and Derpo, it's not been easy, especially with this next chapter taking longer than it has been. And with Bearer, we got a bunch of fluff chapters coming up, so hope you all enjoy those! Especially of the Kyoka and Mina fans!
Onto the reviews now:
Monster King: Thank you, I will do so :D
LoamyCoffee: You'll just have to see, considering with how things turn out this chapter, canon is getting essentially kicked to the curb. But glad you enjoyed the previous chapter and hope you enjoy this one!
solbandgus: Oh he is indeed... Shigaraki on the other hand... :3
Anyway, onto the chapter! Enjoy everyone

Chapter 7
How crazy can they be?
"Fuckin' DIE!"
Shouted one Katsuki Bakugo before a massive explosion erupted from his hands which sent several villains hurtling towards broken bits of buildings and debris scattered around them. With his back against the now hardened Eijiro Kirishima, his arms up to block a barrage of projectiles being sent towards the enraged blonde.
"Awesome job, Baku-bro!" The redhead smiled at his 'partner,' who scoffed at the praise.
"These small fries are worse than I thought! If that fucking fog bastard thinks they can try and off me, he's got another thing coming!" Bakugo shouted as he unleashed another explosion, sending the remaining number of petty thieves and criminals against more debris with scorch marks on their clothes. Bakugo sighed heavily, panting and sweating as he looked over the battlefield if one could call that.
Kirishima also went at ease, his skin unhardening as his gaze looked over all the fallen criminals, "Shame we couldn't ask one of them what their plans were… but can't argue with results!" He beamed to Bakugo with a big smile.
"Idiot, it doesn't take a fuckin' genius to figure out they are here for All Might." Bakugo huffed as he started to walk past the bodies. Kirishima followed behind him as the pair walked towards a broken building to look for an exit.
Bakugo stopped beside a rundown wall, his eyes scanning for something as his sharp-toothed classmate raised an eyebrow at him, "How did you figure that out, Baku-bro?"
"Aside from the fact that the press broke into the University grounds just yesterday, somehow getting past that weird-ass security this place has, and now, all of a sudden, a bunch of extras and low-lives attack a class? Doesn't make any damn sense, considering what villain or group of them would be stupid enough to attack a HERO school full of some of the best Pro Heroes this side of Tokyo?"
Kirishima thought about it for a moment, his hand holding his chin as he started to parse out what Bakugo had just told him, "Yea... that doesn't make sense."
"And unlike the rest of you extras, I pay attention to my surroundings for anything important, and if you did the same, you'd have heard Aizawa ask where All Might was to Thirteen." Bakugo huffed, turning around, his hands on his hips, looking at the red-head and seeing him finally get what he was saying.
"Oooh! So they thought All Might was going to be here! Hence all the bad guys in the center area!"
"You finally got it, Shitty Hair." Bakugo huffed as he suddenly whirled around, slamming his hand hard against the wall, and what caught Kirishima by surprise was to see a struggling villain suddenly appear within Bakugo's hold, and while Kirishima was smiling brightly at how manly the blonde was, he didn't see the manic look on Bakugo's face which caused the villain to sweat slightly.
"Thought you could sneak away and ambush us? I saw your weak ass duck behind an alleyway while the rest of the losers kept attacking us. Now, tell us what we want to know, and perhaps, you might not end as fucked up as the other losers."
Aizawa grunted as he dodged yet another massive swing of a fist from the being known as 'Nomu', finding it more prudent to keep his distance and dodge, considering he was slowly running out of time.
He already tried to erase the quirk of the large being a couple of times, to find either it wasn't working on the literal monster before him, or this thing's strength was already… well, 'natural' would be calling it a stretch, given this thing's brain was exposed. Having to use his quirk even in those brief moments had soaked up his little remaining time.
Even hurting this thing was near impossible, as told by the silver-haired villain with hands all over his face and body; though enraged due to the state of that one mist villain, the man would openly taunt about how 'perfect' this Nomu was, a bio-engineered weapon to take down the Symbol of Peace.
Of course, All Might was the reason why they attacked his class.
Regardless, 'Shock Absorption' and a 'Regeneration' quirk were a deadly and annoying combo, Aizawa had to admit, even if the very thought of making such a creature utterly disgusted him. Anytime the underground hero tried to disable his opponent by breaking his elbows and knees, the damn things would just pop back into place like nothing had happened.
The remaining villain's cackling soon echoed, "You're so damn cool, Eraserhead! To think you could last this long again my Nomu, even with that power boost you got from that green-haired brat!"
Seeing the visual pause of the underground hero before barely dodging another swing by his Nomu caused Shigaraki to smile under the hand over his face, "Ah! Just as I thought, there was something the brat did to give you this power boost! Even if you've been able to keep up with it, for now, that's the beauty of quirks like that!" The pale-haired man boasted before suddenly rushing into the fight, trying to swipe at Aizawa with his own frightening speed.
The tired-looking teacher grunted as he nimbly weaved past the strikes of his young assailant before returning his own, only to find that both he and the villain ended up grabbing each other in a hold and unable to break away. He could hear the 'smile' under the 'hand mask' and the smugness in the man's voice as Aizawa tried to free himself from the hold while also trying to maintain his own.
Curiously, the younger man's pinky was held up in the air with the rest of his hand tightly gripping his elbow.
"The beauty of boosting quirks…." Shigaraki continued, his eyes squinting in delight as he brought his pinky down onto the man, "Is that eventually, they run out of time."
Pain. Pure and absolute pain unlike he has ever felt before.
That was all Aizawa could describe as his skin and muscles slowly dissolving away until the underground hero pushed himself back from the odd villain, who was cackling once again. Aizawa hissed as he could feel the air on his exposed muscles and bit his tongue, wincing from the experience. While he was familiar with broken bones and strained muscles during his hero career, that was a field of roses to how much pain he was feeling. With the teacher's gaze upon him, the eyes of Erasure working overtime on the younger man who kept laughing at him, "Oh, such a cool look coming from you, Eraserhead, but really? You would think focusing on me would be the least of your worries."
A shadow loomed over Aizawa as he quickly moved from his spot, only for the giant hand of the Nomu to grip his 'good' arm, its ever-present smile on its beak growing wider as if it was pleased it could finally grab the previously elusive foe.
"Nomu," Shigaraki said with a dull tone, his eyes matching the boredom in his voice, "Cripple the fool and make him scream."
"Alright, is that everyone accounted for?" Izuku asked, helping the others carry the stretcher with Thirteen underneath the door. Apparently, the door was heavier than anticipated for two pillars of ice, so it needed a third to be kept open. Placing the stretcher down, he could hear the voice of the class vice-president behind him.
"Everyone is out, Midoriya, aside from Bakugo and Kirishima."
"Good, and Iida?"
The beautiful young woman looked towards the trail of dust off in the distance, "He did as you suggested and drank that… erm… liquid and sped off towards the main campus building."
Izuku nodded, standing up, and sighed, "Good, I'll have to apologize later for being a jerk to him earlier."
"You were under stress, Midoriya." Momo smiled gently at him, placing her hand on his shoulder to comfort him, "And you have to admit he did bring up some valid concerns, given how 'boosters' are viewed in society."
"Dunno what was in that stuff, but it was awesome!" Kaminari shouted with a big smile, "Like, he just downed the thing and suddenly glowed bright like a lightbulb and just sped off!"
"Even if he did stumble once or twice before jetting off." Sero snickered beside the blonde as almost everyone did, even Izuku, who would take a slight reprieve at the dangerous situation to relax.
He was still worried about his homeroom teacher and fellow students inside. But, Aizawa had drunk some of the Magic Potion. Bakugo and Kirishima were some of the stronger fighters in the class if the battle trials had anything to show.
"Alright, Todoroki, can you be ready to seal the door should any–"
Everyone's ease suddenly evaporated as they heard the most blood-curdling shout of pain coming from within the open passage. Izuku's pupils shrank as he recognized who had been shouting; everyone was still in shock, and Izuku had already made a mad dash to the door.
"TODOROKI!" He bellowed and caught the dual-colored teenager's attention, "SEAL THAT DOOR ONCE I'M THROUGH! AND KEEP IT UP UNTIL HELP ARRIVES!"
A stern but firm nod was all Izuku got, as he could hear the cries of his name, especially the louder and frightened calls from Mina and, surprisingly, Tsuyu, as he rushed past the pillars of ice and back into the USJ, barely acknowledging the thick seal of ice behind him as Izuku came to the top of the stairs leading down to the center area and his blood ran cold to the sight before him.
Lying on the ground was his teacher, his unofficial uncle, beaten and broken with what looked to be one of his arms bent backward to such a degree that even the stoic underground hero couldn't have stopped his cries of pain. And while he was still a reasonable distance away, the large crater Aizawa was in had been stained red.
Not even five seconds after looking at the scene, Izuku was already leaping off the top step and dashing quickly towards the villain holding Aizawa, thanking the gods that the bracers hadn't limited his speed as he reeled a fist back and roared, "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!"
Fist met beak as Izuku slugged the Nomu hard, causing it to let go and drop the damaged body of Aizawa to the ground and staggered back a few feet, screeching in confusion at the hit that somehow knocked it back.
"Oh, you're a quick one for being a butterball, aren't you?" Izuku's gaze turned towards the other villain before him, growing wide at the clearly disturbing amount of hands covering his body and hoping they weren't real.
"It doesn't matter; an NPC like you won't be able to match my Nomu, the perfect weapon to kill All Might!" Shigaraki cackled loudly, his arms outspread as the creature beside him squealed in delight.
A tug on Izuku's pants caught his attention for the briefest of moments, seeing a bloodied Aizawa look up at him, "R-Run…."
"TOO LATE! NOMU, KILL THE BRAT!" Shigaraki shouted as Izuku was sent ass over kettle backward from taking a sucker punch to the jaw by the Nomu. Grunting from the sudden strike, only to right himself and rush back and punch the beast once more, a tiny bit of Izuku's blood flowing from the corner of his mouth and the angriest look he had even worn on his face.
Shigaraki was laughing at the 'futile' attempt of fighting by the hero student to think that a mere 'newb' could take down the final boss. But as he was watching the slugfest happen between the fat student and his Nomu, Shigaraki was starting to get annoyed as while the teenager seemed to be a little bloodied from the strike earlier, his Nomu didn't seem to actually hurt the student, which was odd considering the Nomu was made to kill the number one hero.
"Nomu! Stop playing around and KILL him!" He screeched in annoyance, stamping his foot down as the Nomu answered the call with its own horrendous sound, only for it to get uppercut by the green-haired boy and stumble back.
"How?! How is a mere low-level NPC standing up to my Nomu!" The pale-hired man continued complaining as Aizawa was doing his best to remain awake and watch as his nephew and student took on the monster. And while he was very proud of him, he felt that a few weeks of severe punishment was in order to get it through the stubborn idiot's head that he wasn't a pro hero yet, and shouldn't be charging into situations like this.
That is, if they survive this.
The bloodied teacher watched as both student and creature suddenly grabbed each other by the hands, entangling their fingers as if to try and overpower one another. Aizawa watched as he could see the Nomu begin to overwhelm Izuku, who gritted his teeth and tried to push back to no avail.
Sadly, Shigaraki had also noticed this and began to laugh loudly, "See! Not even all that fat can save you now! My Nomu is unbeatable! GAHAHAHA! Kill him, Nomu! Let's break the Symbol of Peace by leaving a student's body for him to find!"
Izuku grunted as he took a knee, clenching his teeth as he was quickly trying to find a way to overcome this creature that was staring down at him, gurgling in delight with the drool running down its grotesque beak. As his thoughts soon went to how he was letting down not only his new friends but all of those who usually believed in him to be a hero, including the man lying not far from him, Izuku could feel his heart beginning to break thinking that he was failing them.
"P-Problem Child…!"
The gruff and wounded voice of Aizawa caught his attention, also that of Shigaraki, who had stopped cackling to listen in. As Izuku looked at his uncle from the corner of his eye, for the first time in his life, Aizawa was smiling at him with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face, something that Uncle Mic would be proud of.
"... These villains are crazy!"
"The hell are you talking about–" Shigaraki had begun to say only for him to stop with the words caught in his throat as the Nomu was sent hurtling past him. Spinning in place, The dust-quirk user watched with widened eyes as his secret weapon, his trump card, had been sent into the faux mountain behind him, embedded into the wall and sticking out of it like some crudely made springboard with its legs being the only thing visible outside of the mountain.
"I… Impossible!" Shiogaraki stammered out before slowly turning his head towards the approaching Izuku Midoriya, at his sides, where the gaudy-looking bracers with what looked like computer-like devices built inside at his feet, both embedded deep into the ground, caused the bloodshot eyes of Shigaraki to widen.
But the villain could care less at this point; he was foaming at the mouth as his fingers cracked under the tension, "Y-You can't… There's no way! This was to be the ultimate plan to KILL ALL MIGHT! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Shigaraki shouted as he leaped towards Izuku, hand outreached to grab and dust the upstart who foiled his plans, only to suddenly find himself grunting in pain and on his back, the air escaping from his lungs from the impact as he also felt the tight grip of the hero student had on his wrist.
"I'm going to be a future Pro Hero, and you made the biggest mistake of your life by trying to hurt not only my classmates but also those close to me." Izuku said with the biggest smile on his face, which caused Shigaraki to shiver in fear from the look the student was giving him.
Not too far away and around the time this happened, Kirishima and Bakugo pushed themselves out of the nearby bushes to come upon the strangest of scenes. Both boys watched as Izuku Midoriya, the often dubbed 'gentle giant' amongst their classmates, was slamming one of the villains into the ground, back and forth in an arc over his head while the green-haired boy was gripping the man's wrist. The ground shook with every thud of the body as their arrival caught Izuku's attention, smiling brightly at them as he brought down the villain one final slam with what looked like a dozen or so hands littered around the two craters that had been formed, with Izuku letting go of the knocked out villain.
"Guys! I'm glad you are alright!"
"Midori-bro! What the heck happened?!" Kirishima was the first to come out of his shock, rushing towards him, and then his eyes went to his teacher, "Mr. Aizawa! Oh god! Your arm-"
"Superficial…" The ever-tired teacher said to try and get himself up, only to find that he was very gently lifted up with the aid of both red and green-haired students, making sure to sit him up, "Explain… What happened… where are the others?"
"Outside the USJ, Todoroki blocked the doorway with a thick sheet of ice to prevent any villains from trying to sneak out after I rushed in." Izuku said solemnly, wishing he had brought some of the first-aid supplies that Yaoyorozu had made previously, "Thirteen was taken out by that mist villain, but we were able to stabilize her; before she passed out, she had me take charge."
"That explains that… but… what about you two? Did you rush back in?" Aizawa asked, looking dead-eyed at Kirishima, who at this point was doing his best not to look at the intense gaze of his teacher.
Eventually, he relented with a heavy sigh, "Me and Baku-bro thought we could bum rush the mist guy, but he warped us to the area with the ruined buildings. We had to fight and knock out the villains lying in wait there. We found out their plans and hoped to inform you or Thirteen, but we had to pass the central area to get to either of you."
"But I just wanted to protect our class though! I know it was foolish, but-" Kirishima began to explain before the red glare of Aizawa's eyes stopped him.
"Enough… still in danger, Midoriya…." Aizawa looked to his nephew, who met the man's tired gaze with his own full of determination, "Illogical decision, but you… know the layout of the USJ… need you to… gather the rest of the villains… bring them to the center… out cold."
"Got it."
"Kiri… shima… bring me to that tree closest to the mist villain… I need to keep my quirk on him so he doesn't escape."
"Y-yes, sir."
"Bakugo…" Aizawa slowly looked towards the teenager who had not yet come to his side but was staring hard at the two craters on the ground with the out cold pale-haired man still in one of them, only to look towards the teacher with a scowl, "Need… you to defend the perimeter… use your quirk fully to defend yourself should any villains be coming this way… do not go follow Midoriya, clear?"
The intense gaze of the two was silent as Bakugo grunted a huff and gave his reply, though a little surly, "Crystal, sir."
"Um… Aizawa… that villain, the one with all the hands around him, what was quirk?" Izuku asked, looking towards the still fallen man, and while Aizawa wouldn't usually indulge Izuku's curiosity at a time like this, it was clear that the large teenager was thinking of something.
"Disintegration… needs to make contact with all five fingers…."
Rubbing his chin for a moment, Izuku mumbled softly while his gaze slowly moved towards his fallen bracers. A bright smile soon adorned the young man's face as he looked back to Aizawa, "I see… well, and I really hate to ask this… but can I borrow some of your scarf?"
What an utter fool he was.
That was the thought constantly running through Toshinori Yagi's, aka All Might's, mind as he sped towards the USJ, the place he was supposed to be at had he not used all of his remaining time to continue his heroic duties on his way to classes.
And now, he was rushing to save a future generation of heroes from a grisly fate because he was focused on the present day. Nezu made that point in his reprimand of the blonde's actions. While commendable for still being a hero, there were times he often should have let it be handled by the heroes already on the scene.
But that didn't matter; he needed to get to the USJ and save his pupils!
"Never fear! FOR I AM HERE!" He bellowed as he made a final leap towards the… surprisingly frozen entrance to the building; as he landed not too far away from the small grouping of students and, to his horror, the state of the spacesuit hero Thirteen.
"ALL MIGHT!" The class shouted in happiness at the arrival of the number one hero, which would usually bring joy to the older man had left a pit in his non-existent stomach considering the circumstances.
A few students rushed towards him, one of which was young Mina Ashido, who looked like she had been crying heavily, given the watermarks on her domino mask, "A-All Might! You gotta hurry- Izu- Midori… PLEASE!"
"Easy, young Ashido, take a deep breath…." All Might said to try and calm her down, seeing a couple of the girls holding the visibly upset young woman.
"All Might…" Momo Yoyaorozu spoke up next, taking it upon herself to keep a level head currently. Time was of the essence in these circumstances, and while she could understand Mina's feelings towards the situation, they couldn't wait for her to calm down, "I don't know what Iida was able to tell you, but after he left, we had evacuated those remaining. However, we…" She paused, trying to collect herself and forget the shout of utter pain she had heard earlier, "We heard a horrible scream of pain, and Midoriya rushed in, having also told Todoroki to seal the door to prevent any villains from escaping… but it's been silent since then."
The hiccup from Ashido as he could see both Asui and Uraraka, and Hagakure, if the lone visible glove on the pink student's shoulder was any indication, trying to calm her down drove the nail through his heart now. He had closed his eyes for the briefest moment before opening them and plastering on his trademark smile, looking to Yaoyorozu, "Thank you, young Yaoyorozu, and the rest of you as well, for being so brave in such a horrible situation! But now, it's time that I stepped in."
Slowly moving past the students, All Might stood before the giant ice sheet barring his way; without looking back, he called out, "Please step a few yards back, students!"
Giving a few moments to let his pupils do as he said, the sizeable blonde man got into a fighter's stance, reeling back a fist before shouting a tremendous, "SMASH!"
The block of ice didn't stand a chance against the strength of All Might as it shattered into hundreds of thick pieces within the USJ, and curiously the door hadn't fallen down into place but rose up to fully open.
All Might quickly rushed towards the top of the stairs, worried for the safety of not only what students had been locked in with who knows how many villains, but also the whereabouts of Aizawa. And as he was about to shout his catchphrase, he was stopped dead in his tracks at the sight before him.
There was Aizawa, wounded but alert, using his quirk while resting on a tree and staring hard at a misty sort of person, while Kirishima knelt beside him, fretting over the man and seemed to be wrapping a temporary sling with the man's scarf. Bakugo had been looking about, livid for whatever reason but no worse for wear.
And then there was Midoriya, standing in front of a massive pile of people, all looking very bruised and their cheeks swollen, similar to Bakugo after the battle trials a few days ago, and one villain that seemed to semed to be laid across the ground with both of his arms above his head, with a strange metallic brace around his wrists, with his hands facing away from one another and… was that Aizawa's scarf tied around the middle and ring fingers?
One of the villain's legs had another brace placed at the ankle, though only the one leg was a bit odd to the number one hero. And as he raised his hand, All Might called out, "I came as quick as I could, but it seems like I was not needed!"
"ALL MIGHT!" All three boys called out with joy and relief, knowing everything would be alright because All Might was there, even if the danger had already long since passed.
