Sonic in…

Out of this Dimension - Part 3

Sonic and Tikal continued their zone hopping adventures last time, ending up in the fantasy-like Mobius with a hedgehog in armor greeting them. Arthur and his sword Caliburn recruited Sonic to help in the fight against the other Knights of the Round Table. After defeating each of the knights and freeing them, Sonic and Tikal left to their next destination until a strange storm came and swept them away. Sonic falls into the Forbidden Zone where his greatest challenge awaits…

*Sonic awakes on the ground, head hurting but otherwise fine as he stares up at the blue sky above.*

Sonic: "Ugh… Anyone get the license plate of that tornado…?"

*He shakes his head, groaning as he sits up and observes his surroundings. He then notices that Tikal was not with him.*

Sonic: "Uh oh… Tikal! Tikal, where are you!?" … "Great… Uncharted territory with no guide and no idea where I am… Gotta find a high enough place to get a bird's eye view of where I am…"

*Sonic turns to find a radio tower. Wherever he was, it seemed modern enough. He races toward it and climbs it quick to look at his surroundings. It was… Green Hill Zone?*

Sonic: "Green Hill? No way. Impossible. I shouldn't be home… And yet, those are the loops and bumpers I'm familiar with…"

*Sonic jumps off the radio tower before rushing in the direction of where Knothole Village would be in his dimension.*

Knothole Village?

*Sonic arrives at the village and finds it…deserted. Actually, not that… More like the people there were in hiding. But from what?*

Sonic: "Okay… My spidey senses are tingling… And I don't even have spidey senses. Something's up and I don't like it."

*He looks around the area, his spikes notably on edge like he himself before he finds a lone dog kid, hiding from something. The kid's back was toward Sonic.*

Sonic: "Yo! Kid! Can I ask you something?"

*The kid turns towards Sonic and immediately screams.*

Kid: "AAH! G-GET AWAY FROM ME! I-ITS THE TYRANT!"

*The kid runs away, leaving Sonic to stare in absolute disbelief. He looks behind him to see if he was talking about someone else.*

Sonic: "Me? A tyrant? What on earth…?"

*Sonic's ears perk up as he hears footsteps coming close. He turns to find… Sally?*

Sally?: "Yo, Scourge! Thought you were at the castle. Where's your sunglasses?"

Sonic: "...Sunglasses? What's she talking about…? She looks like Sally, but…"

*Sonic hears another sound before jumping to avoid a crossbow bolt. He then sees a familiar pink hedgehog, but with a more classic design.*

Amy?: "Oh look, Alicia! A poser who thinks he can be my Scourgy wurgy! Guess what!? YOU CAN'T!"

*The Amy lookalike starts firing crossbow bolts at Sonic, forcing him to speed around before trip her with a sweeping kick.*

Sonic: "Hey, didn't anyone tell you not to point? Its rude."

Voice: "And its rude to steal the boss's looks!"

*Sonic sees a fist fly at him before he is sent flying back into a wall. He recovers in time to avoid a sword from the Sally lookalike. He sees his assailant, a Rotor lookalike.*

Sonic: "Okay, this is crazy… Where the heck am I!?"

*Sonic kicks at the Sally lookalike, causing her to drop her sword before grabbing and tossing her at the Amy lookalike. Sonic then revs up for Spin Dash, sending Rotor through several buildings with the force.*

Sonic: "...That should buy me some time to at least catch my-"

*Before Sonic could finish his sentence, something just as fast as he, grabbed him and slammed him into a wall. When he got a look at who it was, his eyes widened… It was…himself. But with a pair of sunglasses, and a black leather jacket, with the words 'Fear the King' on the back.*

Scourge: "Well well… Another blue hedgehog… And with that speed and technique… You must be me… Am I right?"

Sonic: "Urgh… Depends on who you are? And just so you know, black leather…is so tacky…"

Scourge: "Tch… Name's Scourge the Hedgehog… But you can call me… THE KING!"

*Sonic is tossed to the ground, but he recovers as he glares at his other self.*

Sonic: "King? Sorry if I have a hard time believing some loser like you got elected king."

Scourge: "What can I say? I just have a way with words… And fists!"

*Scourge charges at Sonic, getting into a close quarters fight until Sonic back flipped to avoid a sword slash from the Sally lookalike. However, the Rotor lookalike slammed his fists at Sonic in midair, sending him at a wall.*

Scourge: "Hey! Who the hell asked you to butt in!?"

Sally?: "Oh shut up. I was just getting back at him for kicking my sword out of my hand."

Voice: "You'd do well not to interfere with our glorious king, Alicia."

*A floating figure came down, glowing in a magical aura as he lands besides his comrades. It was this world's version of Tails, but radiating a lot of Chaos energy.*

Scourge: "About time you joined us, Miles. Talking to yourself again?"

Miles: "Do not underestimate the powers the Light Arts. She is my teacher after all."

Scourge: "Whatever. Time to kick this guy's ass!"

*Sonic glared at the group. In normal circumstances, he could take on his friends on even footing just fine… But with his other self with them… He was outmatched… But just as he was about to get thrashed, the building behind Sonic collapsed. A large robot charged in and began confronting Scourge and his posse.*

Sonic: "What the-!? A robot!?"

*Regardless of the situation, the blue boy made a run for it, leaving Scourge and his 'Anti-Freedom Fighters' to fend for themselves.*

Marble Zone

*Far from the village, Sonic took a rest at the ruins of Marble Zone, which looked more ruined than last he saw them…in his world at least. As he sighed, he decided to collect his thoughts.*

Sonic: "Okay… So… This world is ruled in fear by a more demented, foul mouthed version of myself… His allies are his version of the Freedom Fighters… And he's pratically got all my abilities… I need to find Tikal… And get out of…"

*Sonic's ears perked up as he looks as a figure walked up to him. It was…Bunnie? No… This world's version of Bunnie; she had no cybernetics like his version, and she wore a black jacket, a white undershirt, and a black cowboy hat. The two exchanged glares before 'Bunnie' turned.*

Bunnie?: "Follow moi. And do keep up."

Sonic: "...Uh?"

Bunnie?: "I said 'follow moi'! I do not have - how you say - the patience to deal with you!"

Sonic: "...Yeesh… And I thought I was impatient… Hey! At least answer me a few questions!"

Bunnie?: "...You get trois. That is 'three'."

Sonic: "...Okay. Let's start with an easy one. Who are you?"

Bunnie?: "I am Violet von Buns*. Friends refer to me as Buns. No one calls me Buns… You don't have permission. Comprendre?"

(*Author's note: Bunnie's name is Scarlet O'Hare. This is in reference to the recent games that came out. Buns is the name used for the original 'Anti-Bunnie' from Archie.)

Sonic: "Violet. Got it. Alright… Are you with those other guys?"

Violet: "They were…my former comrades… But then, they abandoned me when my…weakness started to show… But now, I am much stronger, thanks to the doctors…"

Sonic: "...Who are these doctors?"

Violet: "People who are interested in you. Now come. I'm done answering questions."

*Sonic is skeptical, but decides that maybe it was better to follow the Bunnie lookalike than to wait for Scourge and his guys to find and clobber him. If he was lucky, Tikal will be where he was going just waiting for her. The two came to a drain pipe leading underground. Climbing their way down, Sonic is soon brought…to an entire underground city.*

Kintobor Hidden City

*Sonic was amazed… An entire underground city… And with all kinds of Mobians too! As the duo passed by the populace, Sonic got some pretty heavy glares his way. Evidently, Scourge's made a name for himself and Sonic's taking the brunt of that. Two armored Mobians then approached.*

Guard A: "Halt! What is he doing here, Violet?"

Violet: "He is not Scourge, but someone different. And the doctors want to see him."

Guard B: "...Fine. But he's gotta wear this."

*The guard takes out an anklet. Sonic had some idea of what it was for, but remained compliant. He put it just above his shoe as he and Violet were let through.*

Sonic: "So what's this anklet do?"

Violet: "Restrict your speed. You can't run through the electrical components of your shoes while you are wearing that."

Sonic: "Yeah… I can see how that'd cripple me or Scourge. So… That robot…"

Violet: "It was a raid bot made by Dr. Kintobor. In order to…bring the roof down as they say."

*Sonic is brought to a large tower that acted as a support for the underground, as it generated a shield that made the inferstructure. They get to the front before Sonic is greeted by a skinny, orange mustached man in the old Robotnik outfit Eggman wore way back when he first fought him. Beside him was a shorter orange haired lady in a scientist outfit, adjusting her glasses as she sees Sonic.*

Dr. Kintobor: "Violet! Oh thank the stars you made it back!"

Violet: "Oui, oui, doctor. I brought the hedgehog Jennifer requested."

*The lady scientist approached Sonic, seemingly glaring before smiling and raising a hand for a handshake.*

Jennifer: "Jennifer Kintobor. This is my brother, Ovi. A pleasure to meet you."

*Sonic looks at the hand and accepts it.*

Sonic: "Sonic the Hedgehog! Local hero from my world!"

Ovi: "Jennifer, I still don't feel right about you sending robots to fight Scourge! Last thing we need is to endanger the people living here!"

Jennifer: "And what? Let our new friend here die to a king who's so far up his own throne that he… Ugh… Nevermind, you never listen…"

*Jennifer invites Sonic inside with Violet, much to Ovi's frustrations at her. Sonic is invited to a tea room where he sees…*

Sonic: "Tikal!"

Tikal: "Sonic! There you are!"

Jennifer: "Ah, you two are acquainted. Good, good. Makes things very simple. I found miss Tikal land in my lab not long ago, with my sensors contacting me about another strange arrival. You, Sonic. As soon as I knew you'd likely have ended up in Holeknot Village, I issued my Iron Guardian to save you. With some readjustments to recognize only a blue hedgehog with sunglasses and black jacket."

Sonic: "So you saved my life. Thanks!"

Jennifer: "Yes indeed. But… We are in a bit of a rut. You see… The Iron Guardian model wasn't fully finished. I had planned to get rid of Scourge with it, but…"

Sonic: "Oh… Uh… Sorry…"

Tikal: "From what Jennifer told me, this world, Moebius, was taken over by Scourge, the "you" of this world. He had defeated Ovi Kintobor so badly that Ovi just lost all the fight he had to resist. So rather than fight, Ovi chose to hide out in this city, saving only who he could."

Jennifer: "...While I still maintain my defiance. Ovi may not agree, but that hedgehog needs to be taught a lesson. That's when Violet entered our lives."

Violet: "Oui. I was dumped by my husband, Patch, after some disease started to eat away at the lower end of my back. Scourge and my former comrades ditched me…and then she found me. Through some intense surgery, my old bones were replaced by what she calls an 'Indoskeleton'."

Jennifer: "And since then, she has been a real asset to us."

Sonic: "That's…interesting, in a way. So… What do you need me for?"

Jennifer: "Ah… I guess you figured out that you are important for something… Well… Since you are Scourge from another world, you are quite fast… Faster than any of us. If it was possible, we'd like you to defeat Scourge and snap the anklet you are wearing onto his foot. By doing so, his speed will vastly reduce and he'll be much easier to detain. Moebius will be free of his reign!"

Sonic: "So I get a Round 2 with that jerk. Alright, I'm in."

Jennifer: "Thank you, Sonic… You shall not regret this…"

Sonic: "What about his cronies though?"

Violet: "Leave them to me. I shall keep them busy while you deal with the king."

Sonic: "Cool. Well, leave ol' black n' blue to me. I'll rough him up and slap this doohickey on him faster than you can say 'Sunshine here I come'."

Jennifer: "Thank you again, Sonic… And Violet, please do be careful."

*Violet nods as the group begins to discuss strategy.*

Castle Scourge

*Within Miles' study, the young fox was looking into a mirror, chanting something as he shot out a magic spell of light. A pair of eyes soon became visible as a voice spoke.*

Voice: "Miles, my dear student… What have you disturbed me for?"

Miles: "Forgive me, Master. But something interesting has appeared in our world. It is a blue hedgehog, much like that fool Scourge, fast on his feet as well."

Voice: "Another one? That is interesting…"

Miles: "Even more interesting, I figured this being was from another world like our's. Perhaps…there is an entire world for you to rule."

Voice: "No, my dear Miles… There is more than just one… There must be…multiple worlds…"

Scourge: "Miles! Where the heck are you, you twerp!?"

*Miles turns away from the mirror before opening his door to greet Scourge.*

Scourge: "Stop doing whatever you do in your room and get to the damn meeting!"

Miles: "What I do is very important, 'your majesty'. Far more important than your meetings."

*Scourge grabs Miles and slams him into the wall.*

Scourge: "Listen here, you little scum nugget! I tore off one of your tails before and I can tear off the other just as well! You do as I say or so help me, I will do worse to you than I did to Violet!"

*Miles glares at Scourge before complying, leaving for the meeting room.*

Scourge: "Tch… Worthless twerp…"

*Within the throne room, Scourge sat down, wearing a black crown on his head as he smiled at his comrades.*

Scourge: "Glad you shmoes could make it. Time to get down to business."

Alicia: "About that hedgehog me, you, Boomer, Rosy, and Miles fought right?"

Rosy: "Ugh… And I wanted to smash that blue boy! Turn him nice and red!"

Boomer: "Yeah, yeah, shut it. Anyway, what about him?"

Scourge: "Little blue wonder was fast… devilishly fast… and he certainly didn't seem like my kind of good looking. So if that raid bot was any indication… That blue hedgehog is working with those Kintobor Rebels. And if he is, they're likely cooking up a plan to topple MY kingdom!"

Alicia: "Pfft. Who cares? It's a dumb kingdom anyway."

Scourge: "Why you…"

Miles: "Hmm… I say there is a boon with this discovery though."

*Everyone stares at Miles, curious by what he meant.*

Miles: "Think about it. The fact the hedgehog was blue and fast much like our king here… Can only mean he is from another world. Another world worth taking, yes?"

Scourge: "...Huh. Now you are speaking my language. So we get this poser… And force him to take us to his world, right? That was your plan… Right?"

Miles: "...Essentially."

Scourge: "Hehehe. Good."

*Scourge then stands up, smiling a toothy grin.*

Scourge: "Suppression Squad! I think it's time to show those quack doctors a thing or two. A lesson in respect and a reason to fear me!"

Kintobor Hidden City

*Back within the city, Sonic overlooked it from the top of Kintobor Tower, leaning against the railing. An elevator sound caught his attention as Ovi Kintobor approached, though a bit cautiously.*

Ovi: "I…suspected you would be up here, Sonic… One of the guards told me as such."

Sonic: "Yeah, well. I like to look at what I'm fighting for. Helps hype me up for the fight ahead. I can be a bit brash, may even seem a bit careless. But I never forget what I'm fighting for."

*Ovi looked at Sonic before looking down at the city.*

Ovi: "So… Your 'Ovi'... What's he like?"

Sonic: "Tch. Let's see… A maniac who's terrorized the world on a few occasions, nearly blew up a city just because he got desperate, released a God of Destruction for funzies, destroyed half the moon with a space cannon, just to name a few."

Ovi: "...So an evil man to the core…"

Sonic: "Well… He is evil… But there is a hint of gray in him. Like, he could have been a good guy if… Things were different. The few occasions he helped us save the world, I often wonder if he truly did it out of necessity or… If he genuinely wanted to change the world for the better…"

Ovi: "Hmm… I am often described as uncaring. Seeing as my sister fights more actively than I do. I simply make med bots and tend to the injured. That's it. In a sense, my sister…"

Sonic: "Might be a better person overall?"

*Sonic smiles, looking at Ovi.*

Sonic: "Not really. You just serve a different role. There's nothing wrong if you don't want to fight. But you gotta be ready to shove back when life tries to push. That's what fighting against Eggman has taught me."

*Ovi smiles at Sonic before nodding.*

Ovi: "Thank you… Sonic the Hedgehog…"

*Just then, alarms start to blare across the city.*

Announcer: "Emergency! Emergency! Suppression Squad spotted at Copper Zone! Breach is inevitable! I repeat, breach is inevitable!"

Sonic: "Huh. 'Guess this place isn't as secret as I thought!"

Ovi: "Gah! But how!?"

Jennifer: "Our cover was blown thanks to a mole in our ranks!"

*Jennifer runs in, a couple of guards with her as said mole was brought to Ovi.*

Mole: "P-Please! I didn't mean it! Scourge said he'd spare my family if I told him! I… I just wanted to protect my wife and kids!"

Ovi: "...Let him go, boys. It isn't his fault. And what's done is done."

*Ovi looks at Sonic before taking a deep breath.*

Ovi: "Get the Protector ready for me. It is time I joined the fight."

*Jennifer is shocked by this before looking at Sonic, curious now.*

Jennifer: "Was… that decision your doing?"

*Sonic says nothing, simply rubbing under his nose.*

Sonic: "So plan goes unchanged?"

Ovi: "Mostly. But I will join you in fighting Scourge. He and I have a score to settle…"

Sonic: "Then I'll be back up then."

Copper Zone

*Within the same ruins Sonic went through to escape the Suppression Squad initially, Scourge and his crew arrive, ready to storm the hidden city.*

Scourge: "You know the drill, ya schucks. Get in there and smoke 'em out!"

*As the Suppression Squad tried to charge into the manhole to the city…but Boomer and Alicia were quickly kicked out by Violet, who quickly jumped out as Sonic sped out of the manhole to tackle Scourge out of the ruins.*

Miles: "Wha!? The traitor!"

Violet: "Bonjour, twerp. Ready for me to rip off that other tail?"

*Miles growls at this challenge as Rosy and Boomer glared at Violet.*

Violet: "...Nice try, Alicia."

*Violet ducks as Alicia swings her sword at the rabbit, aiming to cut her from behind, before Violet slams her hands onto the ground and kicks the sword out of Alicia's hand first, then socks her boot right under the chipmunk's chin, sending her to the ceiling. Violet quickly hops off her hands as Rosy takes a swing at her.*

Rosy: "Grr! You were broken before! Break again! Die! Die! Die!"

Violet: "Careful, Rosy. You turn old faster with stress that high."

*Violet lands behind Rosy and sweep kicks her off her feet. She then grabs Rosy by her head before tossing her at Boomer, knocking him to the wall.*

Violet: "You all used to be my comrades. Perhaps even my friends at one point… but it is very clear you will use anyone to gain some form of power trip…"

Miles: "Like you are any different, Violet? Come off it… you used people too. Patch, if I recall, was your footstool for the longest time… And don't get me started on those rebels… the way you convinced one of them to betray his kind, only to then stab him in the back…out of boredom! Compared to Scourge, you are no saint."

*Violet falls silent as she closes her eyes.*

Violet: "Oui. I am no saint. I am no hero. And any forgiveness from the Resistance I could have received…long expired… But… Someone still helped me… Stuck with me despite my attitude… And changed my life to better appreciate something… Freedom."

*Miles grits his teeth, glaring at his opponent…before smiling. Rosy suddenly comes from behind and swings her hammer at Violet…only for the hammer to be caught. Violet's hand starts to bleed…but she remains unphased.*

Violet: "Miles. You won't rob anyone…OF THEIR FREEDOM!"

*Violet tosses Rosy's hammer aside before jumping at the mage to punch him in the face.*

Copper Zone Outskirts

*Sonic pushes Scourge out of the ruins and just outside of the general vicinity before Scourge kicks him off, leading to a one on one staredown.*

Scourge: "Tch… Figures you and that Kintobor quack were working together. Wasn't expecting to see Violet though…"

Sonic: "That's what you get for abandoning your friends, Scourge."

*Scourge looks at Sonic before bursting into laughter, much to Sonic's confused silence.*

Scourge: "'Friend'... Hah… Good one, blue boy. Yeah, I did abandon her. But we were never friends. She became useless the moment her bones got weak from some disease. I'm sure she told ya the story. Well… Violet got dumped like trash the moment she couldn't pull her weight. Hah! Not that Patch was much better! Couldn't take my foot to his face very well! In fact, I think he stopped breathing by the third ki-"

*Within a second, Scourge is kicked hard in the face by Sonic, sending him flying across the field. Scourge growls as he wipes off the dirt from his face.*

Scourge: "Big mistake, punk… Now you got me angry!"

Sonic: "Funny. It takes a lot to get me even a little annoyed. Living with a couple of younger siblings helps with that a bit. But you… The fact you are me makes me sick. The moment you laughed, you pissed me off."

*The two glare at each other intensely, a storm above starting to brew. Scourge was the first to strike, closing the distance before going in for a few quick jabs and a kick, but Sonic dodges these and retaliates with a Spin Dash. Scourge jumps onto the blue ball coming at him and uses his Peel Out to start burying Sonic, but Sonic was quick jump out of the hole and slam into Scourge's face. While Scourge does have the more violent advantage, he and Sonic are matched in speed. When Scourge kicks, Sonic dodges; when Sonic punches, Scourge blocks. Even their special moves were similar, with neither getting an edge in the fight…*

Copper Zone

*Violet continues to fight the Suppression Squad on her own, slamming Boomer on Alicia before dodging a swing from Rosy's hammer.*

Rosy: "Hold still so I can smash you!"

Violet: "Rosy! Why do you keep fighting like this?"

Rosy: "Scourge said he loves my smashings! I'll do anything for his heart! For his love!"

Violet: "What love? The guy's using you!"

Rosy: "He can use me all he wants! He can kick my butt, spit in my eye, even tear off my limbs! MY HEART IS FOR SCOURGE!"

*As Rosy was readying to smash Violet, who was prepared to dodge, a sudden hand reaches out from nowhere and grabs Rosy by the head, slamming her to the floor. It was Jennifer!*

Jennifer: "Maximum SHOCK!"

*Jennifer's gloves start sparking as Rosy is zapped, letting out a loud scream as her body spasms and twitches from the volts radiating throughout her body. Once the shock dies down, Rosy is seen twitching but still breathing. Jennifer just shocked her into submission.*

Jennifer: "...Sorry to intrude. I was getting worried so…"

Violet: "...Just so you know, I totally had her…"

Jennifer: "I know."

*Jennifer looks around before noticing a missing fox.*

Jennifer: "Where's Miles?"

Violet: "...He must've snuck away while I was busy with his friends…"

*The two exchange a look before Violet heads off to help Sonic out, with Jennifer looking on with worry, adjusting her glasses before hearing a noise behind her.*

Copper Zone Outskirts

*Sonic and Scourge's battle continues as the two fly at each other like balls bouncing off each other and the walls they are between. With a final clash, Sonic and Scourge skid to a stop, both starting to feel tired.*

Scourge: "What's…wrong?... Feelin'...a bit…under the weather?…"

Sonic: "Nah…I feel great… Needed a good workout…"

*Both of them glare at each other before Scourge smiles.*

Scourge: "Well. I guess I had this coming… You and I? We're too evenly matched… No matter what I do, you know just what I'm about to do before I even do it. So… Time to take things up a notch."

Sonic: "What are you getting at?"

*Scourge smiles even wider before the whites of his eyes start to become black. A deep shade of black, as Scourge's eyes widened. His eyes turn a deep red as his spines started standing on end. Sonic knew what this was, but even he wouldn't be able to stop it now.*

Sonic: "No! A Super transformation!? But how!? He doesn't have the Chaos Emeralds with him!"

*Scourge's fur begins to turn darker, going from a dark shade of blue to a deep purple. A deep echo joins his initial voice as he cackles, floating upwards in his own Super Scourge form.*

Scourge: "Heh. Judging by your reaction, you can't seem to transform. Well… I suppose I could tell you how I can then. I ate my own super powered jewels!"

Sonic: "What!? What kind of twisted idiot are you!?"

Scourge: "One that lusts for power. The Anarchy Sapphires… Jewels of absolute power… I once discovered them once that fool Dr. Kintobor dropped one. I felt this surge of power from this rock and…ate it. I ate a rock…and gained power! Hahaha! Yes, I ate all seven! They are me now! In this form, I am truly unbeatable! I am ALL POWERFUL!"

Violet: "You are a headache."

*Scourge turns his gaze from Sonic and turns to Violet, who stands defiant.*

Sonic: "Violet! You need to get out of here! In this form, Scourge is too powerful! I should know… I have a similar power…"

Violet: "Can it, spikey. This jerk has a lot to answer for. And I aim to make him answer for it."

Scourge: "Aww… Do you mean to defeat me? Too bad I'm powered up, otherwise, you might have succeeded!"

*Scourge speeds at Violet and gives her a mighty kick, causing her to have the wind knocked out of her. Sonic comes in to save her, but is just tossed aside like garbage. Violet kicks away from Scourge, but it was clear the kick did a number on her.*

Violet: "You…!"

Sonic: "Violet! Let me…handle him… I know Super. He's way too powerful in that state."

Voice: "He's right, Violet!"

*A new voice rings out, almost like it was from a megaphone. A mace comes at Super Scourge, bashing him away. A robot resembling the Egg Emperor arrives, carrying a mace and bumper shield.*

Sonic: "Kintobor!"

Kintobor: "Sonic! You know this transformation apparently! Jump on!"

Violet: "Not without me!"

*Violet jumps onto the large robot first as Sonic joins her.*

Sonic: "Man, you don't quit, do you?"

Violet: "Scared?"

Sonic: "Yeah, but it isn't because of what you think."

Violet: "...I'll be fine. I hurt so many under this asshole's flag… I think it's time to repay my dues!"

*Kintobor looks at Violet from his cockpit before nodding understandingly.*

Sonic: "Alright… We just need to keep Scourge busy… I know that sounds silly, but… The way it works for me is that the transformation has a time limit. I can't keep it up for long periods. Thankfully, the energy reserve gives me just an extra boost to allow me to get out if it just fine. For him…"

Kintobor: "He should in theory be able to tire himself out once he reverts to normal… Sonic, you are a genius!"

Scourge: "That so? Well one issue with that… I'm not going to let you live long enough to see me untransform!"

*Scourge flies at Kintobor's robot just as the mech flies away. Scourge bounces back and into Kintobor's shield, bouncing off of it.*

Scourge: "Gah! Damn it!"

Kintobor: "I made this mech exactly to counter you, Scourge! Every move you have has been simulated to a T to defeat you in this mech!"

*Sonic and Violet jump off and team kick him in the face before jumping off before he could strike back. Violet grabs Sonic and tosses him back at Scourge. The super formed hedgehog gets ready to swat Sonic away, but he gets blindsided by the mace from Kintobor. Sonic slams his feet into Scourge's stomach, kicking off from the force to grab Violet and land on Kintobor's mech as he flies by the pick them up.*

Scourge: "Damn it! I am not losing to a bunch of…losers! I need more…power!"

*Scourge starts to take more power from the Sapphires inside him as his muscles, which are about as scrawny as Sonic's normally, to bulk up in an unnatural way. The arms start to stretch and expand, showing terrifying muscle growth, as does his legs. His chest also expands, forming pecs not unlike you'd see in exaggerated muscle building commercials. Only this was real and the trio was getting sick watching.*

Scourge: "Yes… I feel it now! Now die!"

*Scourge comes at the mech, smashing through Kintobor's shield like it was nothing. Sonic tries to attack, but gets punched straight into the ground - not toward, but into the ground - leaving a crater in his wake.*

Sonic: "Sh-shoot… He isn't messing around anymore…"

Violet: "Scourge!"

*Violet leaps off the mech and avoids a punch from Scourge, but the force following the punch alone knocks her off balance. Scourge catches her by the ears and slams her into the ground, lifting her, and slamming her again…and again…and again…*

Scourge: "This is what happens when you cross me, Violet!"

*Violet was in pain now, bruised and bloody all over, but remained defiant…*

Violet: "You…are an asshole…"

Scourge: "Bite me then!"

Kintobor: "Violet! I'm coming!"

*Kintobor crashes into Scourge, causing him to lose his grip on Violet. He manages to regain footing though and knocks the mech away before using the most deformed Spin Dash seen yet - the attack cutting not just through the mech, but deep into the earth. Kintobor narrowly dodges the attack, though he is scared for his life…*

Scourge: "Hah! Look now Moebius! I am your king! I am your GOD! No one, not even your so called protector can beat me! No one can defeat me!"

Sonic: "'No one'...?"

*Sonic stands up very weakly, gritting his teeth as he does.*

Sonic: "...I didn't hear no bell…"

*Scourge glares at Sonic before starting to stomp his way over to him, the ground shaking with each stomp.*

Sonic: "You think you can win just because you use a few jewels instead of your actual strength? That's hollow. Very hollow. Dr. Eggman from my world? Even he knows how to achieve a more fulfilling victory, even if for a minute before I come crashing down. You are nothing, Scourge. Absolutely nothing."

Scourge: "Me? Nothing!? I am the king of this world! I am the one who destroyed Devil's Island and the world's armies! Me! No one else matters! I am not 'nothing'!"

*Scourge gets close enough to utterly crush Sonic, raising a fist before stopping short of hitting Sonic's forehead. The arm's muscles started bulking up more, starting to vibrate violently, alarming Scourge as his body starts to contort and expand in various places.*

Scourge: "What…'s…happening to me!?"

*Scourge continues to expand, no longer looking like a hedgehog as his eyes look large enough to bulge out. He starts screaming, pleading for Sonic before…he explodes into sparkles.*

Sonic: "Wh-whoa… What happened to him?"

Kintobor: "I'm… I'm not sure…"

Jennifer: "He overloaded."

*Kintobor and Sonic turn to Jennifer approach as they see Tikal healing Violet.*

Jennifer: "The Anarchy Sapphires are a collection of gems with the power of destruction. Unlike your Chaos Emeralds, according to Tikal, that create miracles with their limitless power. Because Scourge misused the power of the Anarchy Sapphires, he ultimately destroyed himself along with the Sapphires. A shame, since he could have become a hero, should life have allowed."

*Sonic looks at Jennifer before turning to the sparkles in the air. Neither sympathy or celebration in his eyes.*

Kintobor Not-So-Hidden City

*Sonic watches as Alicia and Boomer are taken into custody and soldiers are sent to find and hunt down Miles before he can make any moves. As for Rosy, she is admitted to a psychiatric ward for re-education. Sonic is approached by Kintobor, who smiles as the Moebians celebrate their freedom.*

Kintobor: "While things didn't end in the best of ways, we are now free thanks to you, Sonic. So thank you."

Sonic: "Yeah well. I only hope things get better for you all."

Violet: "I am sure they will. Especially with the Suppression Squad behind bars."

*Sonic turns and sees Violet walk with Tikal…who was now alive. Or was she? Sonic, getting curious, decided to poke Tikal's arm, feeling skin and bone.*

Sonic: "Um… Tikal? How are you…?"

Tikal: "Science! …So said Jennifer. I don't get it either, but she said her father left documents on creating artificial bodies. This world's Shadow was something of a…failure…"

Sonic: "Huh. So… You are…alive-alive?"

Tikal: "Kind of. I can separate from my body if need be, but I can otherwise breath, eat, and live as I used to."

Sonic: "Awesome!"

*Tikal opens a portal, ready to leave.*

Violet: "...Yo. Sonic. Be sure to tell your world's Patch…to treat your world's 'me' right… kay?"

Sonic: "...Sure thing, Violet."

Violet: "Hm. Adieu then."

*Violet leaves with that as Kintobor smiles and leaves with her. Sonic and Tikal nod as they hop into the portal and leave to the Dimensional Gateway.*

Dimensional Gateway

*Sonic rushes around the interstate, making a lot of turns in order to get home as quickly as he could, with Tikal being dragged behind him.*

Sonic: "Sorry, about the running, Tikal! Just something occurred to me… That wave that pushed us to Moebius? That was no accident. Something happened in our world and we need to be ready for anything."

Tikal: "Of course. But at least slow down!"

*Sonic sees Mobius dead ahead, with a dark figure rising to attack his friends from behind. With a smirk, he sees a perfect opportunity for a dynamic entry. A leap into the portal, Sonic readies for stomp onto the unsuspecting Mephiles, stopping his attack short before it could occur.*

Moebius; Castle Scourge

*Within Miles's chamber, Miles continues his conversation from before with the mysterious voice.*

Voice: "So… The other Scourge returns home… Interesting…"

Miles: "Scourge is slain by his own hubris… Moebius is yours, mistress."

Voice: "Yes, but this seal stands between me and my path of conquer. Moebius… Every world… Every universe… will be under a single banner… Under my rule… The rule…of Ursala, the Mage of Light."

*A white cat figure peers through the mirror, smiling as she patiently awaits her return to the physical realm. Agatha's opposite, a witch who embraced her evil and became one who uses light magic to conquer. What sort of evil does she hope to bring?*
