Hello all! Merry Belated Christmas, Happy Holidays, and New year. Time for a new chapter of the Green Gaul!
Finally got some time to hammer out the chapters for my other stories, so that's good, and thank you all for your patience when it comes to some of the releases, as my full-time job sucks the creativity out of me.
Onto the Reviews:
Monster King: Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
solbandgus: Nejire will probably pester Takamaki or Mirio enough to get it out of them or pester Izuku long enough. As for Bakugo, I'll say that his story didn't change much, just take Izuku out of the picture.
SonicMax: Yea, that is true at times, but other times it shows just how talented she is at being a heroine. :)
Guest: I don't know, but considering she's a human with a frog-like quirk (something many of us writers tend to forget), I don't think she could do some of the more extreme things frogs can do.
Lord-Chrono: Glad you enjoy it and hope you enjoy this one!
BoredKing: Think of it like a coal engine, where despite not getting any fuel for a set amount of time, it can still run for a good while before slowly dying out and the engine stops working. An example of this was in "Asterix: Mansion of the Gods" where Obelix looks for his new friend and goes nearly an entire day without food before collapsing.
Anyway, hope you all enjoy the latest chapter!

Chapter 10
Ten Seconds Unleashed
It had been two weeks since Izuku regaled his classmates with his story, and honestly, he was glad he did.
Izuku never liked to lie, especially to those close to him, and holding back the truth about his origins and his quirkless 'status' often kept him up at night, especially with how close he had gotten with a few of his classmates in particular.
He and Sato had begun to cook the dorm's meals together, learning recipes from one another while also discussing workout routines and how Sato's quirk worked. Kirishima was often in the kitchen when the talk of working out came up, repeatedly exclaiming how manly the workout routine Izuku had been under and was hoping he, too, would have a chance to try it out at some point.
Aoyama would often talk about France with Izuku, usually having some cheese during their discussion, and while the green-haired young man would always make sure not to overindulge in the rather fantastic samples of dairy provided by native French man, Izuku had asked for some tutoring on the language, stating that while he had the basic's, Izuku knew he would need some brushing up before the trip in the summertime, and he doubted how fluent the Gaul's would be in their Japanese.
And while everyone seemed to be getting along well with Izuku, there were two strong outliers within the class that Izuku didn't know how he should deal with.
The first was Bakugo; while Kirishima would often try and have the blonde join in the conversations and group activities many of their classmates would set up in the dorm, Bakugo wouldn't have any of it, especially if Izuku was around. He'd bark out some cuss words and go and train by himself or with Kirishima following behind him.
Deep down, Izuku knew they would eventually need to speak privately, especially considering how they had last spoken to one another those years ago. However, Izuku felt that things would go south, given not only Bakugo's personality but also the rather ugly feelings within Izuku that had begun to swim through his mind when the memories of that fateful day at the river finally made themselves known after all these years.
The other person Izuku was having difficulty with was Shoto Todoroki. The dual-color-haired boy was cold to everyone during class and hero exercises. Still, he wasn't rude or trying to upset anyone. He would make sure those frozen in his ice were taken care of, something Izuku noted was an improvement over the first battle trial at the beginning of the year.
What was also of note was what he told Izuku during one of the times the class had a self-study session due to some of their classmates testing out the magic potion, and Shoto had brought Midoriya to an empty classroom out of reach of the ears of those with superior hearing.
"So, what is this about, Todoroki?" Izuku asked, leaning against the wall far from the classroom door, his large arms crossed over his chest as Todoroki went about the room and closed all the window blinds.
A few minutes of silence filled the room before the son of Endeavor slowly turned around to face Izuku, "The sports festival is coming up soon."
Izuku raised his eyebrow at the comment, curious about where this was going, "I know it is; everyone has been working hard to train for it."
Todoroki leveled a stern gaze at the green-haired young man before him, standing a little straighter as he spoke, "Yes, everyone… except for you."
It was Izuku's turn to frown slowly, and before he could speak, Todoroki continued, "Do you think that you don't need to train for it? Thinking that the powers of the potion will just let you breeze on through whatever they will put us through, or are you just going to 'hold back' and not even try?"
"Are you?" Izuku said suddenly and caught Todoroki off guard, "I know you can create and manipulate ice AND fire, and I also know you have refused to use the latter despite being asked to by our teachers ever since the recommendation exam!"
That comment made Todoroki flinch slightly before glowering again, "You were there."
"Of course I was!" Izuku sighed heavily, bringing his fingers to the bridge of his nose, "Nezu has me look and analyze the quirks of all potential students, seeing them in action, looking for particular strengths and weaknesses, ways of improvement, also questions to ask them should they make it."
"I am also given the basic information of all the quirks since I cannot look through the student files." Izuku looked at Todoroki hard once again, his eyes burning with an intense gaze that seemed to make him much more prominent than he already was, "So, tell me, are YOU going to hold back?"
"All I need is my ice." The teenager replied to Izuku, "I refuse to use his power."
"Refuse-?" Izuku tilted his head as he lifted himself off the wall, "You know why I can't use my full power! I could KILL someone with just a swipe of my hand, so I'm either holding back or wearing the bracers to limit my power. And I can surmise the same about both your quirks, but just outright refusing to use half of your quirk? Why the hell would you do that?!"
They remained silent as Izuku stared hard at his classmate, looking back and contemplating something for a while before finally speaking up. When Shoto did, however, Izuku wished he had never asked the question in the first place.
"Tell me, Midoriya… What do you know about 'Quirk Marriages'?"
Half an hour had passed since Shoto began his explanation, being the first to leave the classroom and make his way back to their homeroom while Izuku was left standing alone, eyes wide and slowly breathing.
His large hands were clenched into tight fists, shaking in rage at what he had been told by his classmate. Now, Izuku wasn't stupid, and while everything Todoroki had told him sounded truthful, having been taught and brought up in UA, primarily by Getafix and Nezu, Izuku knew that there were two sides to this story.
And while Endeavor was the number two hero on the charts, his public image was often not the best given his more 'heated' attitude. But to think he would go so far as to buy a wife with an ice quirk, make children with her to try and win the 'genetic' lottery and have a child that would have both the strengths of their quirks as well as the ability to nullify the weaknesses, all to surpass All Might? That's what had given Izuku pause. While he may not have had the resources to look into Endeavor's personal life, perhaps he could seek assistance from someone he knew could aid him.
After all, Nezu's top priority was the safety of his students.
A sudden buzz of his cell phone brought Izuku out of his current state, and he looked to see multiple messages, many of which were from his friends with rather cute ones from Tsu and Mina; the latest message caught him his attention.
"I will look into it — N."
Looking up and around, trying to find the camera within the room and coming up with nothing, Izuku sighed heavily before rubbing the bridge of his nose again in exasperation before making his way back to his classroom.
As he did so, he could hear the sound of arguing coming from the direction of his homeroom and quickened his pace. Izuku turned the corner and was stunned to see a large group of students standing at one of the entrances of Class 1-A, with what looked like an argument between Bakugo, a 'wild' purple-haired boy that looked just as tired as Aizawa, and another blonde boy who looked pretentious as all hell.
Completely done with today already, Izuku slowly walked up to the group; some of those in the outer parts of it had noticed the more giant boy coming and spread apart to allow Izuku to get closer to the bickering trio, "The heck is going on here?"
"Stay out of this, nerd!" Bakugo barked out, snarling at Izuku as the other two turned to face the larger boy, both looking stunned until the blonde one started to cackle.
"Oh! I see! So 1-A has to hire an upperclassman to fight their battles. Did the USJ even happen? Or was it just some sort of stunt?"
"Ex-fucking-cuse you?" Bakugo snarled, his hands flickering with tiny pops of explosions, while the crowd surrounding the class took a few steps back in distress as the air around them seemed to have dropped several degrees.
One of the students, with silver hair and sharp-looking teeth that looked similar to Kirishima's, hissed out at the blonde, "Monoma, that's totally unmanly."
"Come now, Tetsu, if Class 1-A is all they are supposed to be, then why do they have a third year guarding their door like some overweight mutt?"
"I'm in Class 1-A." Izuku said with the most deadpan voice any of his classmates had heard, having gotten close to the door and listened in on the conversation. Izuku's emerald eyes slowly looked towards the purple-haired young man, who was gawking at what Izuku had just revealed, "You, are you a part of this guy's class too?"
"No, I'm from General Studies." The purple-haired young man replied, his tired-looking eyes staring hard at Izuku, "And I was about to let your class know that a war has been declared because-"
"If you prove yourself in the Sports festival, you can take the place of one of the hero students while they get brought down to General Studies." Izuku interrupted and finished, watching the other boy's eyes widen, "I already know about that rule, and if you think you got what it takes, then prove it. But I can already tell you will have difficulty doing so."
"E-excuse me?"
"You may have a unique and powerful quirk, but being physically able to keep up with the duties of being a hero, I'd say you got a few months' worth of working out to do in only a few weeks. I know the gyms are available for everyone, so you might want to get yourself signed up."
Izuku was smiling at the boy now, not in a menacing way, but as his usual bright and happy self. This caused the general studies student to deflate a bit in his temper while not completely losing it. He merely huffed and headed past a few of his fellow peers, perhaps taking the advice given to him, at least Izuku had hoped so.
But now his attention was on the blonde student, who looked deeply upset that Izuku had ignored him, "And what are you looking at, you oaf."
"Apologize."
"What?"
"Apologize to my classmates and me." Izuku said with his arms crossed, "You honestly think we wanted to be attacked at the USJ or that it was a mere 'stunt'? To be put in danger and watch as two of our teachers are wheeled away by ambulance?" Izuku now loomed over the blonde boy apparently named Monoma, who was shrinking slightly not only because of the height difference but the cold gaze of anger within the green-haired man's eyes.
"What's going on here?" cried out a feminine voice which brought all eyes towards the owner, and Izuku blinked when he looked upon a brightly orange-haired young woman, looking furious and rapidly walking towards the pair.
"A-Ah Kendo! Thank goodness you're here; this oversized lummox was- GRK!" Monoma had begun to speak before suddenly getting his neck chopped by the now oversized hand of Kendo, who then maneuvered herself to catch the boy into her hand and lift him up, looking up to Izuku with a bright smile while he looked utterly stunned at the display.
"Sorry about that, Monoma can be an ass at times, but he knows how to convince people to do stupid things…." Kendo said with a rather terrifying smile, looking towards the small group of students that had followed Monoma to Class 1-A, which were a good number of male students. Kendo looked back to Izuku and the rest of 1-A that had gathered at the door while the rest of the group that had blocked the entrance had begun to disperse. Bakugo merely huffed and headed his way as Kendo bowed slightly to them.
"Please don't let this idiot make you think less of our class." Kendo said while she rose up, now with a determined look to match the smirk on her lips, "But don't expect us to be idle either; we are going to push you to your limits just as much as you will push us."
Izuku had met her smirk, with a few others looking determined. This was a better "motivator" than what Monoma had been trying to instigate. Kendo's face relaxed before looking about, "Also, which of you guys is Izuku Midoriya?"
"O-oh! That's me." Izuku said, raising his hand up for a moment and seeing Kendo looking him over and then tilting her head.
"Huh… from the way Vlad King described you, I was expecting someone shorter."
"Not the first time I've been told that- W-wait, how did he describe me?!" Izuku said in alarm as more of his classmates began to pour out of the class, making their way towards the lunch room, though Mina and Tsuyu had lagged behind to wait for their much larger friend who was still fretting over how the homeroom teacher of Class 1-B had told Kendo to recognize him.
"Oh, don't worry, Vlad King didn't say anything bad, but he did want to see you about something; as to what, he didn't tell me."
"O-oh?" Izuku raised an eyebrow before a face of recognition came across his features, turning towards his two female classmates, "This shouldn't take long; you two don't mind if I catch up later?"
"Of course not; we will see you in the cafeteria." Tsuyu said, tugging Mina along as she looked ready to say something but was stopped when she tried to regain her balance.
Izuku watched as the two turned the corner, blinking in confusion before looking back to Kendo, "Um.. right, Vlad King should still be in the classroom?"
"Yea, I can escort you there if you want."
"N-no, I know the way, but thank you, Kendo." Izuku smiled, bowing to her before slowly walking past her, sighing gently to himself as the orange-haired woman blinked as Izuku walked past, before slightly shrugging and heading towards Recovery Girl's office to drop off the 'idiot' in her hand.
A gentle knock on the door brought Sekijiro Kan's, also known as Vlad King, attention from some of the paperwork in front of him. He grunted as she shifted himself to look towards the door, "Yes? Who is it?"
"You called for me?" the familiar voice from the other side replied, making the 'tusked' pro hero's lips curl into a smirk.
"Ah, Come in, Izuku."
The door slowly opened just enough to allow Izuku to slip in, shutting it quickly behind him; Izuku looked at the teacher with curiosity, "I have an idea why you wanted to see me, but how has the year been treating you so far, Uncle Kan?"
The blood-cased hero leaned back in his chair, his hands resting on his stomach as he smirked, "Trying scope out the competition and get your class prepared for mine, are we?"
"N-No! You know I wouldn't do that!" Izuku brought his hands and waved them anxiously, causing Kan to belt out a laugh. The green-haired boy was already well aware of the 'rivalry' between class 1-A and 1-B in the previous years and how often Kan would do his best to use it to push his class as hard as he could.
As such, Izuku ensured that any notes he had taken of Class 1-B were locked away in his room unless he needed to help his Uncle with any analysis or possible improvements should any of his students falter in thinking of new ideas to improve their quirks.
After calming down slightly, Kan merely shook his head, "Not to give too much away, but I think my class will have some interesting surprises for your classmates."
"And I know my friends will have as many surprises for them," Izuku said with a determined and challenging look, causing Vlad to perk an eyebrow up.
"Oh, oh… What's this now? Where's my meek little nephew gone?" Kan pulled himself up from behind his desk and walked over, his arms crossed his chest with a smirk still on his face, "Did you gain some more confidence? Was it a girl?"
The redness of Izuku's cheeks instantly gave him away as Kan barked out a hearty laugh, slapping the larger boy's shoulder, "Not even the first two months, and you already got yourself a girlfriend!"
"I-It's not like that!" Izuku flustered out, shaking his head, "I-I may have made some terrific friends, t-that happen to be girls, but we are just friends!"
"Girls?" Kan was now grinning from ear to ear as Izuku slammed his hand over his mouth and blushed madly, "I always said you'd be popular, kid, but never would have expected this! I should keep an eye on you when we do those joint training classes later in the year; I don't want the women in my class to also fall for your charms as well."
"Uncle Kan… please no more…" Izuku groaned, covering his embarrassed face with both hands while the Blood Hero barked out in laughter again, slapping Izuku's shoulder again.
"Alright, alright… I'll lay off you for now." The pro hero cleared his throat to try and calm himself down, "So you know why you were called here?"
Taking a deep breath to lose some of the redness of his cheeks, Izuku moved his hands away and sighed gently, "Yea, it's about Koro, right?"
"Yep! My pride and joy!" Kan grinned brightly as he moved back to his desk, "I am helping out Present Mic and Hound Dog with a mission on Saturday, and while I don't think it will be a long one, I would like you to go take Koro out for a walk and give him his supper, just in case the mission takes longer than intended."
With a curious look on his face, Izuku went up to Kan's desk, where the hero was writing out some instructions, which was a bit odd as this wasn't the first time that Izuku had to watch the bulldog.
"Just as a warning, Koro's been feeling a little under the weather lately due to trying some new dog treats I got for him, he's been having some medicine with his meals, and this here are the portions for the medicine to put into his food as well as some rice to mask the taste."
Kan offered the paper to Izuku, who took it and read it slowly. He looked at the teacher and nodded before slipping it into his pocket, "Anything else?"
"Only ice cubes for treats, which means you may have to take him out multiple times."
Izuku nodded and gave him a small smile, "Sure thing, sir! Is there anything else?"
"Yes, actually…" Kan said in a monotone voice, turning in his chair to look Izuku dead in the eye, the humor the two had shared quickly fading from his facial features and was looking at him with a severe expression, "I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for what's happening and that most of the staff, myself and Aizawa included, tried to convince Nezu to have you participate in the Sports Festival."
Izuku grew quiet for a few moments after that, letting the silence fill the room for a bit before answering, "I… I had a feeling it was going to happen, truth be told… I tried not to think about it too much, hoping either Nezu wouldn't say anything and just allow me to participate or even wear my new bracers to make it an even playing field for everyone."
"I don't think that would sit well with you or everyone else, considering our motto, eh?"
Izuku sighed, moving a hand through his green locks and nodding, "Yea… Uncle Kan, can I ask you something?"
Kan gently nodded his head, giving Izuku his full attention.
Izuku moved to sit at the desk in front of the teacher, idly fidgeting with his hands and ignoring the squeaking of metal and plastic underneath him, "Can… Will I actually be a pro hero someday?"
"What makes you think you won't be?" Kan asked, surprised as Izuku sighed gently, looking down at the desk's surface.
"I dunno… just ever since the USJ incident, something has been off with Grandpa and Nezu, and now with being taken off of my workout regiment, as well as not being able to participate in the Sports Festival… it just feels like they are trying to hide me or something."
Izuku sighed again, with Kan staring at him for a few moments before looking down at his desk and one of his hands clenching into a fist. Kan gritted his teeth slightly as he hated being unable to tell Izuku the real reason for his inability to compete. But he had to bite his tongue, considering Nezu had made the entire staff swear to secrecy until everything All Might had told them could be confirmed.
"Admittedly, I can understand why they are doing it, but it doesn't mean I like it personally." Kan finally said, catching Izuku's attention as their eyes looked at one another, "But you know how Nezu is; he looks at the bigger picture and keeps all the little details to himself until everything is ready to be revealed… that includes his peculiar behavior as of late."
"I can't imagine what it's like to have him as a boss sometimes." Izuku admittedly with a soft chuckle, causing Kan to smirk slightly.
"He's a pain in the ass, but you didn't hear it from me." Kan let out a small chuckle, causing Izuku to smile a little brighter, "But you know he's only doing this because, like the rest of us, you are family."
Izuku was blushing slightly, rubbing the back of his head before Kan cleared his throat after a few moments to get his attention, "Now, lunch is almost finished, and you still need to go eat."
"It is?" Izuku asked before looking up at the clock to see that he had only twenty minutes to get to the cafeteria. Suddenly standing up, the green-haired boy quickly rushed towards the door, "I-I'm sorry, Uncle Kan! I need to get going, so I have some fuel for this afternoon's classes!"
"Don't worry about it; remember to come to see Koro on Saturday!" The blood hero called out, with Izuku nodding his head and rushing out the door.
Once the student was gone, Kan gently leaned back in his chair, letting out a heavy exhale of breath as he crossed his arms over his chest, scowling now. He knew he couldn't tell Izuku exactly why he couldn't participate this year in the Sports Festival, but if All Might's suspicions were correct, then measures needed to be taken to protect the school from future attacks and also to protect Midoriya.
Especially if the person that even All Might feared was still alive and if he somehow got his hands on Izuku.
A sudden chill ran down Kan's back, pushing the thought out of his mind as he went back to marking the papers before him.
"Good afternoon, everyone!" Getafix proclaimed loudly as he looked over the majority of Class 1-A, who were all wearing their regular gym outfits and not their hero costumes. They were again standing in the monitor room where the first heroics class had taken place, watching the first battle trials.
In the corner of the room stood All Might, Aizawa, and shockingly Nezu of all people, keeping their distance but keeping quiet as this particular topic was more well known with the elder druid, though he had been relatively tight-lipped in his explanations of what he would be teaching.
"Now, I know everyone has been busy training for the sports festival and doing the trial runs with the Magic Potion, and I must say, some of the results have been most interesting!" Getafix exclaimed, clapping his hands together as some of the students nodded their heads; there was one notable mention of "useless garbage" coming from Bakugo that Getafix blatantly ignored.
It wasn't his fault that the young blonde had used up all his time in the beginning to make the biggest explosion he could.
"So, we are going to be doing something different today." Getafix said cryptically as he moved over to the control panel before pausing and looking around it, "Erm… does anyone know how to turn this blasted thing on?"
"I'll get it, Getafix." Nezu spoke up, walking past the group of students as the elderly man continued.
"I have told everyone here multiple times that one should never drink more of the Magic Potion while under its effects already, correct?"
"Yes, sir!" Iida spoke up suddenly with his hand raised, "You told us that doing so would cause catastrophic harm to ourselves."
"Very good, and thank you, Mr. Iida." Getafix smiled for a moment at the student before looking at everyone else, a stern look on his face, "However, that wasn't the entire truth. While the only real negative effect of consuming more of the Magic Potion is growing addicted to the liquid, the other negative effects are much more… 'external'."
"Um, Mr. Getafix?" Mina spoke up, her hand raised a bit while her golden eyes looked about the room, "Shouldn't we wait for Midori?"
Getafix grew silent, staring at the pink woman for a few moments before the monitors flickered on behind him, the cameras showing from all angles the mentioned young man standing in the middle of an intersection, and… without his shirt.
A few students murmured to one another, while a few realized what would happen, and two, in particular, would make their feelings known.
"I thought Midori wasn't supposed to have any Magic Potion!" Mina walked right up to the elderly man, who, at this point, had his arms crossed behind his back.
"Won't he become addicted like you just said? This isn't safe at all, kero." Tsu ribbited beside Mina; while she couldn't display the worry on her face, it was evident in her voice.
Getafix sighed softly as more and more students began to voice their concerns. The old druid simply raised his hand up, causing the class to go quiet, "I admire your concern for my grandson, but this is necessary and something that needs to be done… not only for Izuku's sake but for everyone here as well."
Everyone watched as a lone robot holding up what looked like an eyedropper slowly rolled itself toward Izuku, who looked perplexed at first. Getafix kept watching the screens as he continued to speak, "Right now, Izuku is standing about half a mile away from us for our safety."
"Our safety?" Todoroki was next to ask the question, switching his gaze from the older man to the screen, where Izuku seemed to be kneeling as the robot got closer.
"Throughout his life, Obelix had taken a single drop of the Magic Potion only a few times, but only under my supervision." Getafix started to speak, ignoring the question by Todoroki as the robot slowly brought the eyedropper closer to Midoriya's open mouth, "That single drop of the potion will only last for ten seconds, but that will be the most dangerous ten seconds any of you will have faced to date."
Everyone watched as the single drop of the magical elixir hung from the end of the dropper, their breath catching in their throat as Aizawa walked up to Getafix, frowning hard at the old man, "What is going to happen?"
As the single drop fell onto Midoriya's tongue, Getafix merely looked at the tired teacher and exhaled deeply as an explosion of concrete and debris suddenly blew out a wall on the other side of the room, causing the students to shout and scream in fright as the lone robot with the eyedropper had ended up smashed against the wall it had been launched into.
A bestial-sounding roar echoed into the room, making everyone shiver hard and look fearful as they could see the tallest buildings begin to topple down. Getafix looked away from the screens and towards Aizawa, whose eyes were wide in shock as the old druid spoke.
"That, young man, is what is going to happen."
Izuku groaned slowly, panting heavily as he began to blink and refocus his vision, the ringing in his ear blocking out any sounds as he pushed himself up from the cement floor. What was he doing again?
He shook his head, trying to stop the ringing and get his thoughts in order. He remembered Getafix asking him to move to the spot as part of his testing with the Magic Potion and to wait for the robot to give it to him. Izuku remembered kneeling down to allow the mechanical worker to drip the small amount of Magic Potion onto his tongue, and then there was nothing.
"-dori!"
Izuku shook his head again, clenching and unclenching his eyes, trying to end the dulled pain they were giving him… grunting as he knelt, slowly opening his eyes only to gasp in shock from how bright it was now.
Suddenly he could feel two people slamming into him, not able to knock him over, but nearly making him lose his balance as he took in the blurry sight of pink and green hair clinging to his chest, "M-Mina? Tsu?..."
"You scared the crap out of me!" Mina suddenly said, bursting into tears before pushing her face against his chest again, the shuddering of her shoulder's indicating she was crying? Slowly, Izuku wrapped his arm carefully around Mina while the slight blush on his cheeks began to form, trying to see if that would comfort her. The still somewhat fuzzy green blob of color ribbited, and he brought his gaze to the frog woman.
"How are you feeling, Midoriya, kero? You nearly hit us with that robot."
"W-What?!" He coughed out, shaking his head more as the ringing slowly faded and his vision became less blurry, "W-wait, what robot?"
"Don't you remember, kero?" Tsu asked curiously, though with a worried tone to her voice as well as Izuku merely shook his head, "What do you remember?"
"I stood here, waiting for one of the UA robots to give me the Magic Potion; I felt the drop hit my tongue, and then… nothing."
"That's scary, kero." Tsu replied as Izuku blinked his eyes some more, his vision finally re-adjusting, and what he saw caused him to look on in horror.
All around him, the several-story high buildings had all been demolished, almost leaving a barren wasteland around him, a good block reduced to nothing where Izuku was at the center of it all; his gaze slowly looked towards some of the other empty buildings that didn't seem to have been touch, albeit one had a huge hole that went from one side out of the other, and did so for any of the other buildings past it, with small metallic bits and pieces laying at the entry point.
Slowly turning his gaze over to his left, holding a still quivering Mina in one arm, and Tsu moving his other arm around her, Izuku could see the rest of his classmates looking aghast at the destruction he had supposedly caused before looking towards the four adults that were behind the rest of the students.
Aizawa and Nezu didn't seem to have any reaction on their faces, but he could tell something was troubling with their body movements. His grandfather looked at his adopted grandson with sadness and a sense of knowing that this was what would happen.
The last one hurt Izuku the most of the four, making his stomach turn horribly as he could see All Might, the number one hero, not smiling at all, despite the older hero trying to be still stoic looking. The look he gave Izuku would forever be burned into the larger student's mind.
The look of utter fear.
