15. Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Morning came early. Alex and Hailey were the first up. Their parents were both sound asleep. Alex went out and did his chores and Hailey kept him company. When they were done, they came back into the house and found to their surprise that both their parents were still sound asleep. Alex and Hailey were hungry and decided to make their parents breakfast and surprise them. Once breakfast was ready, they went and woke them up. The weather was bad so, they could not make it down to the lodge to get Jen and Hailey's things. It would have to wait a day.

Hailey's school things were at the lodge, so they decided to make it a snow day. They pulled out some board games and played them. Since the kids were around, Cody and Jen could not talk about their conversation they had last night.

"Tomorrow, I should be able to take Alex and Hailey to the Lodge. Then we can get you something better to wear besides my clothes," Cody said making some small talk.

"That would be nice. But these flannel shirts are a bit cozy. You may find that some will disappear," Jen teased. Cody just smiled a bit. He like how she looked in his shirts.
