Hello everyone I'm back and here to bring you another chapter this time it's a half and half first half is a Ranmaru special while the second is for the main story. So lets start.
Fox Creek: Chapter 12
Ranmaru was running through the village with a smile on his face as he finally returned from his 'first' mission outside the village. As he approached his first destination, he pulled out a scroll and held it in his hands as he opened the door.
Ino was working the counter of her clan's flower shop as she heard the door open and spoke "Welcome to- Ranmaru" she said as she stopped and smiled at the boy "I haven't seen you in forever how are you".
"I-I'm good Ino" Ranmaru said with a blush and then opened the scroll he was holding and unsealed a bouquet of foreign flowers to Ino's surprise. "I know you like flowers so I got you some pretty ones from wave country" he said as he was then hugged by Ino as she took the flowers and had a dreamy look on her face.
"Aww Ranmaru" she said blushing at the gesture "you're so sweet" she said as Ranmaru looked down nervously.
"Umm Ino" he said as Ino looked at him puzzled "wi-will you like to go on a date with me" the young boy asked as Ino looked at him in surprise.
'He asked me out' Ino thought as she looked at the blushing younger boy 'oh my god he is so cute; I guess it wouldn't hurt to say no'. "Ok Ranmaru it's nearly lunch so let's go to the BBQ restraint that my team frequents" Ino said to which the boy brightened up and grabbed her hand.
"Let's go" Ranmaru said cheerfully as Ino flipped the out to lunch sign on the door and locked up before walking off.
After eating lunch Ranmaru walked Ino back to the shop "I had fun talking to you Ino; maybe we can do this again another time" he said to which Ino giggled and blushed. She then bent over and kissed him on his cheek making the boy freeze.
"I'd love that Ranmaru" Ino said as she walked into the shop as Ranmaru walked away with a goofy smile on his face. Upon entering the shop, she saw her mother looking at her with a smirk and Ino blushed as she realized she saw everything.
"I had no idea you had a thing for younger guys Ino" her mother said as she felt like she was about to die of embaressment "never figured you for a cradle robber" she said as she walked off.
"MOM" Ino yelled in embarrassment as she moved back behind the counter and pouted; she then thought about Ranmaru again and smiled softly at the boy who took her out on her first date.
With Hanabi and Hinata
Hanabi was training with Hinata until they decided to take a break and relax on the training grounds as they ate their lunch Hanabi saw a figure running towards them; she then realized it was Ranmaru. As she jumped up to Hinata's surprise and started to dust herself off and fix her hair as it was out of place due to Hinata and her sparring.
"What's wrong Hanabi" Hinata asked as she looked at her sister.
"Ranmaru is coming and I look horrible" she said as her sister looked surprised as Hanabi has never really cared much about her looks.
"Hanabi" Hinata said calming her sister down "Ranmaru is usually dirty and covered in driedblood from hunting all day (if only she knew) he won't care about appearances that much" she said as Ramanru stopped and smiled at the 2 girls.
"Hi Hinata, Hanabi" he said as Hinata greeted him and Hanabi blushed and waved at the boy. "Hinata Naruto is back in the village and he's going to be going to Ichiraku Ramen in a hour; he told me if I see you to tell you to meet him there" Ranmaru said to which Hinata beamed.
"Really! Thanks, Ranmaru" she said as she turned to her sister "I'll see you later Hanabi; take care of her Ranmaru" she said as she darted off leaving her sister and her crush alone in the training ground.
"Hanabi" Ranmaru started as he pulled out 2 scrolls and brought out a bouquet of flowers like he got Ino and 2 bowl of ice cream much to Hanabi's joy. "I got you banana flavor since you said it's your favorite" he said as he handed both gifts to the blushing girl.
"Thank you Ranamru" Hanabi said as the both of them sat down and started to enjoy their afternoon treats. Unknown to them there was 2 intruders watching them; one was a black-haired boy with a long blue scarf and the other was Hiashi Hyuga as he saw his daughter and the apprentice of Naruto together.
'Bastard' Konohamaru thought as he looked at the scene in anger; he had a crush on Hanabi since they were in the same class but she never gave him the time of day. When he tried to tell Ranmaru to back off he ended up hanging upside down form a tree completely naked in the middle of the park; and much to his embarrassment he was also laughed at by a group of girls. 'I don't care if you're a ninja, or stronger than me or have a cool job; I will be the one to marry Hanabi. Just you watch' Konohamaru thought as he had a look of jealousy on his face.
Haishi was looking at the scene in anger as he had no way of telling Hanabi that that boy's master was dangerous; he wasn't worried about the boy, he was more worried about Naruto as he killed 1 ninja, 4 ninja dogs and crippled Tsume. 'Don't get to close to her boy' Hiashi thought as glared at the boy darkly 'if you do I'll just have to get rid of you like Naruto'.
Ranmaru was aware of both the onlookers due to his dojutsu and discretely reached his arms back acting like he was stretching; he then flipped off both the intruders much to their surprise.
'How did he know I'm here' Konohamaru thought as he hurriedly retreated.
'That boy knew I was here' Hiashi thought as he studied the boy 'I guess I'll need to get rid of him as well' Hiashi thought as he disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
After Hanabi and Ranmaru were done Ranmaru stood up "I gotta leave now Hanabi; I'll see you later" he said to which Hanabi also got up.
"I'll see you later Ranmaru" Hanabi said before she was then kissed on the forehead by Ranmaru who just smiled and ran off. Hanabi with her face reddening and mind going into over drive did what her sister hasn't done in years; she fainted.
With Moegi
Moegi was playing alone in the park as her friend Udon was off with his tutor and Konohamaru was probably off stalking that Hyuga girl again. She may have accepted Hanabi because of Ranmaru but that didn't mean she liked it. As she pushed herself on the swing, she saw Ranmaru come into the playground; she immediately dismounted and ran over to him giving him a hug.
"Ranmaru you're back" she cheered as Ranmaru hugged her back.
"Yeah, I'm back; also" He brought out his last bouquet of flowers and gave it to Moegi who smiled as she took it "I got those for you when I was in wave" he said to which Moegi kissed his cheek affectionately.
"Aww thanks Ranmaru how about you tell me about it" Moegi said to which Ranmaru nodded. As they both sat on the swings Ranmaru told her about his mission. He left out the gorier details as he didn't want Naruto and him to get in trouble. Once he finished he got up and spoke once more.
"Well, I got to go it's almost dusk and walking in the woods at night is dangerous" he asid as he hugged Moegi who hugged him in return "bye Moegi".
"Bye Ranmaru" she said as she also needed to get home.
In the cabin later that night.
"You're lucky Ranmaru" Naruto said to the boy in the bed across from him "you get to marry multiple women due to that clan restoration act thing you're in due to your eyes" Naruto said.
"Yeah; Moegi, Hanabi and Ino are nice, pretty and strong" Ranmaru said to which Naruto chuckled "I have to find 2 more though. Because if I don't they'll force me to marry someone who I may not like" he finished as Naruto looked up at the ceiling.
"Don't worry boy-o you'll find them and once you get married and you have your kids and I have mine with Hinata it'll be awesome" Naruto said to which Ranmaru nodded. "Think about it; we can take our kids out hunting together, fishing for fish in the lakes, hell we can even train them to become the best hunter ninja ever. Naruto finished to which Ranmaru looked at him.
"Do you think we'll ever be able to stop killing" Ranmaru asked seriously as Naruto frowned "I mean if the girls ever found out what we've done they'll hate us" he said his voice full of worry until Naruto spoke up.
"One day. One day, we'll stop. But until then we have to keep doing it to protect ourselves and everything, we hold dear" Naruto said as Ranmaru nodded.
"Goodnight Naruto" he said before pulling up his covers.
"Goodnight Ranmaru" Naruto said as he touched the seal on his stomach 'once I've killed enough you are gone' Naruto thought as the fox chuckled.
"You really think you can make it kit; after all you've done" the fox said as Naruto frowned more and decided to shut his eyes "everything has a price boy; you already payed for most of the bill. Now you just got to pay the taxes" the fox said as he also went to sleep.
6 months later: In front of the Academy
"This is where the chunin exams are" Naruto asked Sai as he nodded.
"That's what Anko told us" Sai responded.
"We can do this guy we are way better than most other genin" Ranmaru said with bravado as Sai and Naruto nodded in agreement.
"Right then" Naruto said as he walked forward "let's see what game we got to hunt". Naruto was excited to begin the exam; Anko the month prior had been training them harder in order to prepared for anything.
As they entered the academy and were making their way up to the third floor, they heard a commotion. As Naruto turned to see what was happening they saw some kid in green spandex and a bowl cut being beaten by 2 other ninja. As he looked closer he saw that they were a poorly disguised Izumo and Kotetsu; Naruto knew them quite well due to them being sworn to secrecy over his state upon arrival.
"Naruto" Ranmaru whispered which caught the blonde's attention "there is a genjutsu in place this is the second floor" he finished to which both Sai and Naruto nodded and thanked the boy for his observation. As they were walking away, they heard a angry voice pipe up.
"UZUMAKI" the voice yelled as the group turned and saw a scarred boy walking towards them stopping only a few feet away "how dare you show your face after what you did to me" he yelled gaining everyone's attention.
"Sorry mate do I know you" he said in total confusion as he didn't recognize the boy.
"I'm Neji Hyuga" he said as Naruto was looking at him blankly "you beat me 2 years ago with brass knuckles; that's why my face is so scarred" he said as Naruto still looked unsure "I warned you about being near my Lady Hinata".
"Oh I remember you now" Naruto said to which everyone face dropped "what's your beef with me" he asked and Neji looked livid.
"You beat me, humiliated me and disfigured me" he said as his once handsome face was now scarred by the beating he received.
"Well you had it coming mate; you were being a asshole" Naruto said as he smirked and Neji tried to attack him to which his 2 teammates held him back.
"I will avenge my honor Uzumaki and I'll kill you in the exams" he said to which Naruto grinned and nodded.
"Right then mate; see you then" Naruto said cheerfully as he and his team walked away.
"Naruto" Sai spoke up "why did you beat him up" he asked curiously.
"He was being a cunt" Naruto said simply which seemed to be a good enough reason for Sai.
As the 3 approached the door to the exam room they all stopped as they saw a familiar face.
"Kakashi" Naruto cheered as he hugged the man as he hasn't seen him in a while since he was busy with his genin team of Sasuke, Kiba and some random girl he didn't remember. "How's it going; your team are competing" Naruto asked as Kakashi nodded.
"Yes but only Sasuke and Kiba" he said to which Naruto became confused and Kakashi continued "our female teammate was injured during a mission and had to retire; both the boys were confident so I decided to let them try anyway" he said to which Naruto nodded.
"Well, I'll avoid them during the exams for you since well… you know" Naruto said as Kakashi eye smiled as he was sure Naruto was getting better; since the old Naruto wouldn't have done that for him.
"I appreciate that Naruto; good luck" Kakashi said as they both shook hands "you too Randmaru, Sai" as he did the same before, he vanished. As the boys nodded to each other they entered the room and saw it was full of fellow examinees who were giving them death glares.
Naruto and his squad ignored them and were about to sit down until Ranmaru was snatched up.
"Ranmaru" Ino gushed as the young boy blushed "I've missed you where have you been" she said as all the glares were now at Randmaru as most of the male applicants had the same thought 'lucky little shit' as Ranmaru was being hugged by a pretty girl.
"Ino you're so loud" Shikamaru complained as he and Choji walked up and greeted Naruto and his team.
"Uzumaki; hello" said Shino coming out of nowhere with Hinata and a boy nobody knew.
"Hey Shino, Hinata. Hows it going" Naruto asked and before he could answer Kiba and Sasuke entered and joined them.
"Naruto, Ranmaru" Sasuke said as he looked at his possibly only real opponent in the exams.
"Uchiha, Mutt" Naruto said as he took a jab at Kiba who gave him a growl along with his dog Akamaru.
"You are all being very loud" came a voice from a boy with silver hair and glasses.
"Who the hell are you" Kiba asked rudely which the boy shrugged off.
"I'm Kabuto I'm a 5-time vet of the exams" he said as Naruto, Ranmaru and Sai looked at the boy in suspicion. "I'm just here to offer my services to you rookies as I have info on many of the genin here do you have anyone you wish to know about" he asked to which Sasuke spoke.
"Gaara of the desert, Ranmaru and Naruto Uzumaki" he said gaining the attention of both Ranmaru and Naruto.
AS Kabuto pulled out his cards he explained the info of Gaara and how he was a big threat "Now Naruto Uzumaki" he began to which Naruto got nervous. "Let's see; went missing at the age of 6 and was found again at the age of 10, good at archery and hunting taught to him by his father Hit- "he was ten stopped when Naruto in a burst of speed used his knife to sever the hand that was holding the card.
As Kabuto then grabbed his now stump of a arm Naruto then cut off his remaining hand as he fell to the ground screaming.
"Kabuto" a voice yelled as 2 ninjas dressed similiarly to Kabuto charged and came to his aid. Only for one to be decapitated by Sai and the other to have a hole blown through the back of his head by a well placed shot by Ranmaru's sling shot.
Naruto then picked up the handless screaming boy and held him at face height and with a look of rage on his face spoke "you have classified information on me. For a spy you really suck at your job" Naruto stated to which everyone looked at him in shock as he was able to find a spy in only a few minutes of talking to him. A explosion of smoke then happened and Ibiki then came forward.
"Naruto" he said as he stood next to the boy unfazed by what happened "what's going on" Ibiki said; Naruto had met him through Anko and both hit it off based off their shared love of both physical and mental torture, he even trained both Naruto and Ranmaru in interrogation tactics.
"This slimy little shit got classified info on me" he said to which Ibiki looked livid "I crippled him so we can find out what else he knows" he said to which Ibiki nodded.
"I appreciate it Naruto" Ibiki said as he then snapped his fingers as 2 anbu appeared and took the frightened looking Kabuto away "good job" he said to which Naruto smiled and Ranmaru spoke up.
"Does this mean we can get a award" he said with stars in his eyes as Ibiki looked thoughtful and nodded.
"Yeah I can give you a pass for this" he said to which Naruto and his team high fived and everyone else looked shocked "the test I was about to give was going to be info gathering but I guess I can do the back up test" he said as everyone in the room paled. "You 3 pass; go to the second exam area at the forest of death tomorrow. Be there by 7am sharp" he said as Naruto, Sai and Ranmaru nodded and walked out leaving a stunned class room.
Once they were on the streets Ranmaru spoke up "how did you know he was a spy Naruto" he asked as Naruto's face was stone cold.
"He was a wolf in sheep's clothing Ranmaru. He was just like the 3 of us" he said to which Ranmaru and Sai nodded as they knew who they were behind the masks they wore "he only did the one thing we never do; he exposed himself and got attacked by another wolf" he said as the 3 continued down the road.
Unknown to then a pink haired girl was watching from a distance as the 3 boys walked away. 'I had a hunch about those 3 but now I'm almost certain' Sakura thought as she looked at Naruto 'I don't know who you are Naruto but I have an idea. And once I get some concrete evidence, I'll make sure you spend the rest of your life behind bars' she thought as she walked away.
Oh shit people things are about to take off now. I can't wait for you to read about what I'm going to do for the forest of death chapters but I'll assure you it'll be good; and now Sakura is on Naruto's trail. Who will get him first Sakura, the Akatsuki or someone else. Find out next time.
