Hello everyone I'm back again to bring another chapter of my story. If you like it feel free to look at my other stories and leave a review. Now with that out of the way let's start.
Fox Creek: Chapter 15
Naruto was walking to Ichiraku Ramen for his date with Hinata; he was going to be leaving the village tomorrow with Kakashi, Kin and Karin. He was told that the finals were going to be held in a month so he wanted to do this date now before he left. Upon reaching the small restraint he opened the curtain and sat down.
"Oi old man" Naruto said to Teuchi.
"Naruto my boy" the old Ramen chef greeted " thanks for delievering those deer yesterday; I was running low on venison" he said as Naruto grinned.
"C'mon old timer" said dismissively "you are always at the top of my delivery list; after all you've been my top client for venison and boar since I came to this village" Naruto said. Naruto remembered the first day he brought a stag for the old man to experiment with his traditional ramen; ever since then the venison ramen has been a mild success among people who prefer to eat freshly killed game instead of frozen processed meat.
"I'm sorry I'm late" came the voice of Hinata; Naruto spun around and nearly had his heart stop. Hinata was wearing a light blue sundress that matched her hair perfectly. "Naruto are you ok" Hinata asked as Naruto was looking at her intensely.
"Oh sorry love" Naruto said scratching the back of his head "I just thought I saw a angel for a second; then I realized it was just you" he said as Hinata blushed from the complement.
"Thank you, Naruto; you cleaned up well yourself" Hinata said; Naruto instead of wearing his usual hunting/ninja attire was wearing a orange dress shirt and clean (not blood stained) jeans, the only thing that was the same was his hat and knife in it's holster except that the hat was sitting on his knee instead on top of his head.
"Thank, Hinata. C'mon sit" he said as he patted the seat next to him to which Hinata then sat down. Both ordered a venison ramen which kicked off the conversation "should be a good bowl; I shot that stag 2 days ago" he said as Hinata lightly chuckled at Naruto's attempt at bragging.
"Do you do anything else besides hunting" Hinata asked to which Naruto began to laugh.
"Why there are so many thing to hunt" he said with his foxy grin "deer, bear, pigs, birds, bandits… tourists" he said jokingly which earned a playful hit to the arm by Hinata. Naruto then looked up at the ceiling "I've been hunting ever since I was a tyke; I hunted to eat, to make money, to survive, and yes sometimes for fun" he said looking at Hinata seriously "I'd like to stop one day but… I've been doing it for so long it has become second nature to me" he said as Hinata looked at him.
Hinata remembered the hard life he had to live as he told her about him traveling around living day to day and even how he had to kill some bandits in order to survive. Hinata then put her hand on Naruto's shoulder and spoke softly.
"Naruto, I know you haven't had the easiest life" she said as Naruto looked back at her "but you have me now, and you have Kakashi and Ranmaru; you are not alone anymore" she said as Naruto smiled a genuine smile and grabbed her hand.
"Thanks Hinata" he said before the ramen came and he perked up "enough with all this sad talk; lets eat" he said perking up as Hinata giggled and began to eat her food along with Naruto.
Across the street Sakura Haruno was taking notes as she saw the interaction 'Hinata' Sakura thought as she closed her note pad 'with your all seeing eyes you are still blind from the monster beside you' Sakura thought as she walked away. 'I will save you Hinata' Sakura thought 'I will not let that monster harm you; I promise' she thought as she disappeared into the crowds in the street.
With Ranmaru
Ranmaru was training with Anko as he needed to brush up on his skills in order to win his matches in the finals. Ranmaru needed the most help in close combat since that was his weakest area of expertise; while Naruto was good at all ranges and Sai was good at close and medium range combat Ranmaru was more of a long range and support kind of fighter.
As Ranmaru ducked under a kick from Anko he was then grabbed by a snake that came down her keg that coiled around him and began to constrict him. After a minute of squeezing Anko released the boy as he fell to the ground coughing and breathing heavily.
"Well you're getting better" Anko said looking at Ranmaru "but your defense is still total shit; how do you expect to beat that Hyuga or Guy's clone apprentice" she said to which Ranmaru sat up.
"Avoid being touched by the Hyuga and use jutsu on the other guy" Ranmaru said which got him a fist to the head.
"Don't be a smart ass" Anko said to the boy nursing the bump on his head "I got a little under a month to train you so you better get ready; I'm not going to take it easy on you" she said getting back into a fighting stance.
"Ok Anko" Ranamru said jumping up and getting back into his fighting stance. The 2 then ran toward each other and began their training once again.
The next day
Naruto, Kakashi, Kin and Karin were all walking along the road in order to reach the area that Kakashi said would be the best place to train in order to prepare Naruto for the finals. Kin was watching Naruto talk to Karin about Uzumaki clan history. Karin was comparing what she knew from her mother to what Naruto learned from his father Futoshi.
"Yeah my da was a way better hunter than me" Naruto said to which Karin listened "my old man could skin a bear with a dull pocket knife in under 15 minutes" he said to which Karin asked a question.
"So he was a Uzumaki correct" she asked to which Naruto nodded.
"Yep; apparently during the second shinobi war he was away from Uzu and avoided getting killed" Naruto said lightly touching his hat "he had a daughter but never found out what happened to her; he assumed she escaped as there was no body. But after 20 years of search as he doubted he would find her" Naruto said to which Karin nodded sadly.
"That's pretty sad" Karin said to which Naruto brushed off.
"It's fine" Naruto said "he knew it was a shot in the dark; anyway he found me one day when I was about to be killed by some arseholes and took me in. He did a Uzumaki seal test on me and it proved that I was descended from the clan so he taught me everything he knew" he said to which Karin grinned.
"Well now you got me" Karin said "I can teach you some Uzumaki sealing arts that was passed down to me; so we can keep some clan arts alive" she said to which Naruto chuckled and got a devilish look in his eye.
"Well from what I seen from you and Ranmaru you'll be rebuilding the clan soon once he gets old enough" he said to which Karin began to from red and attempt to punch Naruto who dodged the girls punches while laughing.
Kin looked at the exchange and sighed; she wishes Naruto showed more interest in her. Kin over the past few days has grown infatuated with the blonde boy. She felt safe around him and he was always playful and joking; she also thought he was handsome as both his golden blonde hair and his unusual (Australian) accent made him exotic in her eyes. Kin then felt a hand touch her shoulder and flinched in fear before realizing it was Kakashi.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" Kakashi said as Kin nodded.
"I-It's ok it's just… what happened… what almost happened" Kin stammered as Kakashi spoke up.
"I'm sorry. I always thought he was a little unhinged but I didn't expect him to… force himself on you" he said as Kin nodded at the still fresh memory. "Frankly I'm glad Naruto killed him" Kakashi said shocking Kin "If he didn't do it I most definitely would have" he said giving her a eye smile.
"I… Thanks" Kin said before she looked back at Karin and Naruto.
"You should tell him your feelings" Kakashi said which made Kin go wide eyed "we ninja could die at any minute; it's better to just admit it as soon as possible" Kakashi said as Kin looked down.
"But Naruto always talks about that Hinata girl" Kin said "he likes her and- "she began until Kakashi cut her off.
"Anything could happen" Kakashi said "better to admit it and be shot down then leave those word unsaid" Kakashi said as he remembered Obito admitting his feelings to Rin shortly before he died.
Kin looked bashful and looked back at Naruto 'I should tell him' she thought 'I'll tell him when the time is right' she thought with determination. "Thank you Kakashi sensei" Kin said with a small smile to which Kakashi eye smiled.
"No problem" he said waving his hand in front of him "it's a sensei's duty to look after his students" he said.
A few hours later they arrived at the area they would be using for training to prepare Naruto for the finals; it was a rocky, barren place with no vegetation in sight with cliffs and ravines.
"Ok everyone we will be training here lets set up camp and get settled in" Kakashi said as everyone complied and began setting up their home for the next few weeks.
The next morning
Naruto, Kakashi, Kin and Karin were all eating some gophers that Naruto trapped; while Karin and Kin were a little hesitant to eat the small animals they quickly got over it when they ate some after Naruto seasoned them with thyme and Rosemary that he brought with him.
"I'm not going to lie Naruto" Karin said finishing her Gopher "that was pretty good; you're a amazing cook" she said to which Naruto blushed and looked bashful.
"Aww, shit thanks Karin" Naruto said rubbing the back of his head "I really appreciate your kind-" he began before he quickly picked up his crossbow and shot a bolt past Karin's head. Karin, Kin and Kakashi were alarmed by his actions before they heard a clang as the crossbow bolt clashed with something; a poisoned Kunai.
"Oi" Naruto shouted as everyone got up and took a defensive stance "who the bloody hell are you" he shouted as 2 figures jumped in front of the group. One was a blonde teenage girl and another was a teenage boy with paint on his face; the boy was controlling 2 puppets one had it's mouth open to which Naruto concluded was where the poisoned Kunai came from, while the girl had a giant fan.
"You monster" the girl hissed "you killed our brother and you have the gall to not remember us" she said to which Naruto cocked his head to the side.
"I killed a lot of brothers love you gotta be more specific" he said as the girl got angrier.
"Gaara" she yelled "you killed him in the chunin exams; he may have been bloodthirsty; he may have been a monster; but even so we loved him and you took him away from us" Temari said tears running down her face.
Kakashi looked at the 2 and saw their headbands were scratched out "you 2 deserted from your village" said and Kankuro spoke up.
"Our father the Kazekage didn't want to start a international incident by asking for that little shit's head" he said pointing at Naruto "so we deserted the village; our only goal now is to kill the blondie and leave so step aside" he said to which Karin spoke up.
"You liars if that was true then your friends wouldn't be hiding right now" she said and both Temari and Kankuro looked confused until a murder of crows formed and 2 more figures appeared.
"Naruto Uzumaki" Itachi Uchiha said as Kisame stood right next to him.
"Who the fuck are you" Naruto said now getting annoyed "what did I kill your brother too?"
"Yes" he said his sharingan blazing "you killed my little brother…Sasuke" he said as Naruto and Kin grew wide eyed.
"He tried to rape me" Kin yelled "you got to understand- "
"There's nothing to understand" Itachi said "he may have done something that warranted death but he's still my little brother; so I will take your life in penance" Itachi said to which Naruto looked at Kisame who was wearing his Akatsuki cloak.
"Hey I seen that cloak before" Naruto said to which Itachi and Kisame looked confused "yeah a few years ago I met 2 guys… Deidera and Sasori I believe" he said as both Itachi, Kisame, Temari, and Kankuro looked surprised. "Yeah I met them in Earth country; really nice guys it was a shame I had to kill them but hey it's kill or be killed" he said as now both opposing parties looked nervous.
'So that's what happened to them; they were heading to get the 5 tails in Iwa' Itachi thought.
'This brat killed them both; what kind of power does he have' Kisame thought.
'Sasori of the red sand; he killed him. That has to be a lie' Kankuro thought
'Deidera the mad bomber and Sasori of the red sand? He killed 2 S class criminals by himself' Temari thought as she now doubted, they could win. What happen next was a surprise to all 3 parties as a giant puff of smoke appeared and a giant toad with a man standing on top of it began to speak.
"Well isn't this a party mind if I join in" the man said as he began to dance "from north to sout east to west my-" he was interrupted as a crossbow bolt missed him by only a few inches.
"Who the fuck are you, who's side are you fucking on and where the fuck did you come from" Naruto shouted as the man looked at him angrily.
"I'm Jiraya of the Sanin, I'm on your side and the Hokage sent me to you to help you train" he said as he jumped off the toad and landed next to Naruto "but now I'm only going to help you fight since you just tried to kill me just now" he said to which Naruto snarled.
"I don't need your old arse to train me just help me fight these arseholes and then you can fuck off" Naruto said as he refocused on his 2 different groups of opponents.
"Naruto" Kin said getting his attention "me and Karin will handle the 2 sand ninjas; you, Kakashi and the old guy can fight off pretty boy and sharky there" she said as Naruto chuckled at the nicknames.
"Alright any objections" he said to both his group and his opponents.
"No" Itachi answered for both him and Kisame.
"You die today you fucker" Temari said as she opened her fan and Kankuro readied his puppet.
Kin took out several senbon, Karin adjusted her glassed as a single chakra chain formed behind her, Kakashi lifted his headband revealing his sharingan, Jiraya got into a toad fighting stance and Naruto got into a low ready firing position.
"Right then" Naruto said "lets have at it" he said.
