Chapter 5

Natsu and his class were doing their usual training exercises.

"Remember class, this is a rescue exercise, so remember to keep property damage to a minimum," Vlad said and he and the whole class were staring at Natsu.

"Don't look at me," Natsu scoffed.

During the exercise, the class started to notice Mirio's improvement as he was able to move more efficiently with his quirk.

"You're getting better Mirio," Natsu smiled.

Mirio gave thumbs up "Thanks, Natsu,"

"But you're still naked though," Natsu sweatdropped. Mirio jumped and tried to put his bans back on.

"Mirio-san is getting better," Wendy said.

"Yeah, it's only been a few weeks since the Sports Fest, and he already got this better," Gajeel said.

"Mirio has always been strong," Tamaki told him "He works harder than anyone else,"

The others nodded at Tamaki's statement seeing the results of Mirio's hard work.

"But still he needs to work on the whole stripping thing," Gajeel said.

"You got that right," Hado smiled.

"Alright Class B, Today we will be deciding your Hero Names," Midnight announced. The class cheered loudly at this. "Since you will be starting your internships soon, it's about time you get some,"

"FINALLY!"

"WE GET TO PICK OUR HERO NAMES!"

"Hmm, what's the big deal about our hero names," Gajeel scoffed.

"Come on Gajeel, a hero name defines who we are as heroes," Mirio smiled.

"And picking hero names help you in the first year drafts, though these names can be temporary, these names will help you get recognition, once you become pros," Midnight said. "That's why today, you will decide your hero name, and I will judge it to see it's worthy,"

Midnight then had everyone in the class a whiteboard and markers to write down their hero names.

"What should my hero name be?" Natsu wondered.

"Seriously, never really thought about that stuff," Gajeel said.

"Really I think you guys have it kind of easy," Wendy told them.

Both Natsu and Gajeel raised an eyebrow "Huh?"

"I mean Hero Names are basically nicknamed right, well you two already have one right," Wendy told them.

A lightbulb then lit up in both Natsu and Gajeel's heads and they both smiled and wrote down their names on the whiteboard. After some students went up to present their hero names, Hado went up in front of the class and smiled.

Hado smiled "My Hero Name will be Nejire Chan"

"Isn't that just your name," the class sweatdropped.

"Approved," Midnight gave a thumbs up.

"She liked it," The class shouted.

It was then Tamaki walked up to the class "Suneater," he said.

"Oh what a cool name," Mirio cheered "Nice work Tamaki,"

Mirio then ran up and smiled "My hero name will be Lemillion,"

"Lemillion?" Midnight raised an eyebrow.

Mirio smiled "Right, I want to become a hero and save people, Sure I can't save everyone but at least I want to save a million people, that's the kind of hero I want to be,"

Midnight and Natsu smiled "Alright approved,"

"YAAH!" Mirio cheered.

Natsu smiled and stood up "Guess it's my turn, The Fire Dragon Hero: Salamander,"

Midnight smiled "Like the creature of legend, they say that the Salamander is a spirit that lives in the fire, and they are the ones who gave humans fire, a true spirit of fire, that name suits you perfectly."

Natsu smiled "Thank you Midnight,"

Gajeel smoked "Guess I'm up, my name will be Black Steel,"

"Oh, how cool and intense approved," Midnight grinned.

Wendy took a deep breath and walked up to the class "Um, my hero name is Sky Dragon Hero" Gradine's Marvel," she said shyly.

"How cute and memorable, approved," Midnight smiled.

"Thank you, Midnight-sensei," Wendy bowed.

"Alright now that everyone's hero names have been decided, we will now discuss your internships," Vlad told the class

Vlad displayed the names of students on the board all next to a number of agencies that want them to intern at their agencies. Natsu received the highest, Gajeel the second highest and Wendy the third.

"Wow, Dragneel, Redfox, and Marvell got so many," a classmate said.

"I mean they did get the top spots at the Sports Fest.,"

"Wow, Togata, Amajiki, and Hado got some too, despite not placing very high,"

"Now you will decide what agency you will all go to, once you decide to come report to me understand," Vlad told the class.

"Yes Sir,"

The class then started to go through the list of offers they were given a majority of the class discussing in excitement.

Natsu scrolled through the list with a bored face" Is this kind of thing necessary,"

"Yeah, why should we do this," Gajeel signed.

"What do you mean," Wendy asked. "It's required for the class,"

"I know but we won't get involved in the action, we're only there to observe. It sounds boring," Natsu signed and Gajeel nodded.

"Don't talk like that you guys," Mirio jumped in "This will be a great experience for everyone, sure you guys won't get to fight but you can learn a lot,"

"I guess," Natsu scrolled through the agencies. It was then Natsu stumbled upon what he was shocked to see.

"What's wrong Natsu," Mirio looked over Natsu, his eyes widened, "EH YOU GOT A REQUEST FROM ENDEAVOR AWESOME!"

The entire class looked up in shock.

"Dragneel got a request from Endeavor,"

"The number 2 hero,"

"Amazing I hear he never takes interns that often,"

"Are you going to accept Natsu," Mirio asked.

"I don't really know, when I first met him at the festival I didn't really like the look in his eye, Natsu answered "But what about you Mirio,"

Mirio smiled and showed him the agency he will be going to "I'm going to intern under Sir Nighteye,"

"Eh," Natsu blinked "I read about him, isn't he All Might's former sidekick,"

Mirio nodded and smiled "Yeah, I'm surprised someone as cool as him wants me,"

Natsu smiled "I see, congrats Mirio,"

Mirio gave a thumbs up "Thanks Natsu," he then turned towards the others "So where are you guys going,"

"Well, I and Gajeel both got offers from Fat Gum," Tamaki answered.

"The BMI hero, I'm surprised Gajeel," Natsu said. "For you to go there,"

Gajeel scoffed "So what, the guy seems interesting,"

"What about you, Wendy, Hado," Natsu asked.

"I and Wendy-chan are going to the same agency too, we both got offers from Ryukyu," Hado smiled hugging Wendy.

"Eh isn't she the one who can turn into a dragon," Natsu grinned.

Wendy nodded "Yeah, she seems really nice and willing take me on,"

"Congrats Wendy," Natsu rubbed her hair.

"Thank you Natsu-san," Wendy smiled.

"So are you going to accept Endeavor's offer, Natsu," Tamaki asked him?

"Hmmm," Natsu said in thought.

Kansai Region

Gajeel and Tamaki arrived at Fat Gum's agency both wearing their hero costumes. Gajeel's costume was basically his old Fairy Tail clothes. A black shabby sleeveless tunic with studded edges, a studded belt with beige pants. He also had a wing-like ornament on his shoulder. Tamaki's costume was a black bodysuit decorated with gold plating. He also wore a white tunic with a matching cape and hood. He also had a carrier vest with a purple mask on his face.

The two were in an office building where they were greeted by a round, fat man with a wide grin on his face. He had on an orange hoodie, black pants, with a black eye mask.

"Hey I'm Fat Gum," he introduced with a wide grin "You must be Redfox, and Amajiki," The two nodded and FatGum smiled.

"Nice to meet you," Amjajiki bowed.

"Yo," Gajeel scoffed.

Tamaki signed "Gajeel please polite,"

"Don't worry it's fine, so you two are here for an internship correct," FatGum asked and the two nodded. "Good, Welcome to the FatGum Agency, hope you two learn a lot," he said, eating his takoyaki.

"So what are we going to do here," Gajeel asked.

"Well mostly you'll be observing what we pros do, so you can't be involved in most of the action," FatGum answered.

Gajeel scoffed "Knew it,"

"Gajeel," Tamaki said.

"But don't treat it as a waste, I can tell you've been in a couple of fights before the Sports Fest," Fatgum looked at Gajeel. "But that doesn't mean you know everything there is to be a hero, its not just fighting villains,"

Gajeel scoffed again "I know that,"

"Good," Fatgum said. "Now let's go over what we will be doing, understand,"

Gajeel and Tamaki nodded "Yes sir,"

Ryukyu Agency

Wendy and Hado stood inside the officer speaking to a woman in a dark red dress and claw-like accessory covering half of her face.

"You two must be, Hado Nejire, and Wendy Marvell, it's nice to meet you. I'm Ryukyu," Ryukyu greeted.

"It's nice to meet you," Wendy and Hado smiled.

Ryukyu smiled at two "I hope you two learn a lot from this experience,"

"We'll do our best," Wendy and Hado said.

"Good now let's begin with the basics." Ryukyu smiled.

Hado smiled and turned to Wendy "Isn't this exciting Wendy-chan,"

Wendy nodded "Yeah, this will help me improve a lot,"

Nighteye Agency

"I see much potential in you young Mirio," Niighteye said.

Mirio grinned "Thank you, Sir, I look forward to working with you,"

"Be warned this will be a difficult time for you," Nighteye told him solemnly.

Mirio saluted with a goofy grin "I'll do my best,"

Natsu stood in a large office, he wore his standard Fairy Tail gear with his signature scarf. the difference with his old clothes is that it was a zip-up overcoat with one long sleeve on his left arm.

Natsu stood in front of a desk facing the number two hero Endeavor.

Endeavor smirked "I'm glad you accepted my offer, Dragneel,"

"Well it was from the number 2 hero, it's a big honor," Natsu responded.

Endeavor stood up from his seat "We'll be starting right away, be sure to keep Salamander,"

Natsu turned and looked at Endeavor's back, and didn't say anything as he watched the number two hero leave the office.

An Here we are the first part of the internship arc. I know it's short, but I did my best. What do you guys think? I like to thank WoodenDraconis for recommending Wendy's hero name. Gradine's Marvel sounds good I like it. Anyway, I think arc might focus more on Natsu and Endeavor, cause I had a feeling Endeavor will take an interest in him.
