"Good, you're awake." James said to Remus as he and Sirius (who was recently nicknamed "Padfoot") stood underneath the Potter family's invisibility cloak.

"You know you can just sit here when Madam Pomphrey isn't here." Remus said as his friends removed the cloak.

"Yes, but you never know when she'll come." James replied, "And she might shoo us out before we have a chance to talk to you."

"Fair point." Remus admitted. Although she was never one to discourage visitors, Madame Pomphrey wasn't fond of the idea of students missing class or not doing their homework for no reason.

The Animagi sat near the bed, with Remus trying to keep his attention on James. The previous night was the first time Sirius had been with his friend for a transformation. Although Remus didn't doubt Sirius would still be his friend, he did doubt how close they would be.

Remus secretly craved affection, although he would always try to discourage people from showing him any, except his parents. He worried that after seeing what he was like in werewolf form, Sirius would stop giving him affection.

"Last night was awesome!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Awesome?" Remus asked in complete disbelief.

"Yeah!" Sirius answered, "From what Prongs said, I knew it would be dangerous in both the fun and scary way, and I was right!"

"You truly are addicted to danger." James teased his best friend.

"I sure am!" Sirius smirked. Then he turned his attention back to Remus, "I was scared for my life, but also thrilled by it. It was scary and exciting!"

"So...?" Remus questioned, not sure he was liking the outcome.

"So..." Sirius said as he leaned his head close to Remus's, "You lost."

Remus gulped. Two weeks ago, he and Sirius had made a bet. If seeing Remus in werewolf mode made Sirius want to stop lavishing affection on him, then Sirius would give him 25 chocolate frogs. If Sirius didn't, then Remus had to give him a kiss. At least Remus got to choose where to kiss Sirius.

"Moony, are you ok?" James asked his friend when he noticed how pale he was becoming.

"I'm fine." Remus lied. The lie was clearly seen through.

"No need to feel intimidated, Moons." Sirius smirked, "I am hot stuff afterall. I know about 100 people who would love to be in your position right now." Then he backtracked, "Well, not in the hospital wing, but, kissing me."

That seemed to put Remus at ease, at least slightly, as the color was noticeably coming back to him. The boy steadied his breathing, and darted his eyes between Sirius's mouth and cheeks, unsure of where to place his kiss. Eventually, Remus closed his eyes and just went for it.

Sirius felt Remus's lips crash against his. He was a little surprised that this was were his friend decided to kiss him. What was more surprising, was how Sirius reacted. As Moony was pulling away, Padfoot pulled him in closer and deepened the kiss.

James could hardly contain his delight. For about two years, he had thought the two should become a couple. To give them some privacy, James turned his attention to the door, to keep an eye out for Pomphrey.

When Sirius and Remus finally pulled apart, they looked at each other, silently saying, "What just happened? Did we really just do that?"

Sadly, before they could say anything, James quickly shoved Sirius under the invisibility cloak as Madame Pomphrey was entering the room.

"Good morning Remus." The healer warmly greeted.

"G-good morning." Remus stuttered.

"Remus, did something happen? You look flustered." Pomphrey asked.

"Uh..." Remus racked his brain for what to say. He couldn't tell her everything. Prongs and Padfoot were illegal animagi, and didn't want anyone else to know that they were in the secret ward. "Um, two weeks ago," Remus said at last, "Sirius and I, we made a bet and if I lost, I had to kiss him."

"Kiss him?" Pomphrey was taken aback by that.

"Yeah, I got to choose where." Remus answered, not wanting to get into the incriminating details, "And uh, yesterday, before I got here, I lost, and had to pay up."

"Well that would explain why you were so nervous." Pomphrey noted, "Where did you kiss him?"

Remus turned bright red, "The lips."

Although Pomphrey knew that the two were close, she was still taken aback by that.

"I-I don't know why I kissed him there, but I did. And he kissed me back, and now, I don't know what that means for us."

Pomphrey thought about it. She knew Sirius Black was a loyal friend, but there was a reason he ended up in detention so much. She wasn't sure he was right for him, at least not at the moment. "It seems, that you two want to date each other." Pomphrey said at last, "However, you should keep in mind why he gets in trouble so much."

Remus nodded. He did keep that in mind, but he couldn't shake the delightful tingle Padfoot's lips had left. That wonderful feeling that someone wanted him, and didn't care that he was a werewolf.

"I think I can manage it." Remus said.

"Hey Moony!" Sirius greeted/asked Remus as he left the hospital wing.

"Yeah?" Remus asked.

"Uh, wanna go to the Hog's Head tomorrow?" Sirius asked, "Just us?"

"Uh sure." Remus answered with a blush.

Sirius grinned from ear to ear. "Great! Leave at 8?"

"Sure." Remus answered, then the two walked to the Great Hall hand in hand for lunch.
