"Just watch what I do Salamander, do not interfere," Endeavor told him. "I'll be going alone, you stay with Burin and the others." he then flew off.

Natsu blinked "Huh,"

"Oh, you're the intern right," Burnin asked him and Natsu nodded at her. "Sorry, but Endeavor mostly likes to work alone, we only provide support when he needs it,"

"How am I supposed to learn from an internship ?" Natsu signed.

Kido, the bandage man walked up to him "Just take what you can from this, I know you want to learn from the Number 2 but it's best we don't get in his way,"

Natsu signed "Guess this is what my week is going to be like,"

Burnin laughed and smacked Natsu on the back "don't worry you'll do great,"

"Thanks, Burnin," Natsu said to the fiery-haired sidekick.

"For now join us on our patrol," Kido motioned and Natsu followed. "By the way what's your hero name,"

"Salamander," Natsu answered.

"Awesome, another guy with a fire-based quirk," Burnin laughed.

The two sidekicks and the intern patrolled through the city, and Kido was explaining to Natsu everything he had to do.

"As Heroes, it's best you know the area you will be patrolling, that way you can be more aware of what's going on," Kido told him.

Natsu nodded "I see," Natsu looked around as he saw civilians walking around socializing, some even eyeing them as they patrolled. Natsu overheard such things as "woah he's from UA", or "He's the one who took the top spot at the Sports Fest," Natsu even overheard some girls complimenting his looks how he looked "Cool and wild,"

"Hmm," Natsu signed.

"Don't worry Salamander, I'm sure you'll learn a lot even without Endeavor," Kido reassured.

"Thank you, Kido," Natsu bowed, "Guess I'll be stuck doing clean up."

"HELP THERE'S A FIRE," Someone called out.

The sidekicks and the intern turned and saw a fire emerging from a building.

"Quick Salamander helps us evacuate citizens to safety," Kido ordered, but to his surprise, Natsu jumped into action.

Natsu smirked "A fire no problem for me,"

Then to everyone's shock, they saw Natsu consuming the fire.

"He's eating the fire," a citizen said shocked.

Natsu gulped, swallowing all the fire, "Alright, fires all gone,"

"Salamander," Burnin called.

"Yeah," Natsu responded.

"What was that? You just ate fire," Burnin asked him.

Natsu laughed "Oh that, well it's kinda part of my quirk,"

"But I remember from the sports fest, that you can produce fire from any part of your body," Kido said. "You never showed you can eat fire,"

"Yeah, I didn't get to show off, you eating fire actually refuels my firepower," Natsu told them.

"Woah," Burnin said.

"Well, now that the fire is taken care of, let's check on the citizens to see if anyone was hurt," Kido ordered.

"Okay," Natsu followed the two sidekicks going to check on the citizens.

Endeavor who was on the rooftop watching them just kept his eye on Natsu.

Natsu took notice of it, but ignored "As I thought I'm not going to like this guy, I knew I should've gone with Mirio,"

Fatgum, Gajeel, and Tamaki were patrolling the city.

"It's best you guys build a relationship with the city you protect, that way you earn public trust," Fatgum handed Tamaki and Gajeel some takoyaki.

"Yes sir," the two said.

Gajeel signed "Seriously I'm so bored when are we going to see some action,"

"Hey, I told you before there's more to hero work than just fighting. You have to make sure that the city you're guarding is safe," Fatgum told him. "Oh yeah, Amajiki here trying eating this, it help," Fat handed Tamaki some Takoyaki "It's best to choose what you eat wisely before going out on the job,"

"Thank you, Fatgum," Tamaki said.

"Now we have to work on your confidence issues," Fatgum laughed.

Tamaki looked down depressed "Please don't,"

"He's right you know, you're strong and yet your mental strength is lacking," Gajeel told him.

"Please leave me alone," Tamaki covered his face in embarrassment.

"HELP THIEVES," A man called out pointing to a group of thugs.

"Hehe, finally we got some cash," one said.

"Finally some action," Gajeel smirked, as he was about to jump in though, Fatgum stepped in and stopped the crooks in his fat.

"Heh," Gajeel blinked.

"Fat," a crook said as he was sucked.

"When did he get here,"

"Sorry, Black can't let an intern like you get hurt," Fatgum told him.

"I could've handled it," Gajeel shouted.

"Yes, but there is more than just winning the fight, but remember this Black when fighting villains quickly make them lose the will to fight," Fatgum told him as he released the knocked out crooks.

"Woah," Tamaki said in amazement.

Gajeel just scoffed. "Isn't making them lose the will to the fight, the same as beating them up,"

"Maybe, but making them lose their will instead of fighting them, will cause less collateral damage," Fatgum said. "Look,"

Gajeel looked around "so what no one was hurt,"

"Yes, but what would you think would have happened if you engaged in a fight here," Fatgum asked.

Gajeel scoffed and looked around the area again and his eyes widened.

"Kids," Tamaki said.

"Yes, if you have fought them there's a chance that those kids would have gotten hurt," Fatgum said. "Now let these guys to the police, then get back on patrol,"

Fatgum picked up the crooks and started to walk to the incoming police car.

"He's amazing," Tamaki said.

Gajeel smirked "Guess this won't be as boring as I thought,"

The two then followed the BMI hero to the police station.

Wendy and Hado were helping Ryukyu patrol around the city. Wendy's hero costume was a green flowing dress with a triangular pattern near the top and crossing pattern around she has two bands around both her arms and her long blue hair was tied in pigtails. Nejire wore a skin-tight bodysuit which was royal blue with a high black collar and pale mint green markings covering her legs. She also had turquoise spirals covering her yellow gauntlets and boots.

"Now remember girls, it's best to keep your composure when you are on the job, it's okay to feel afraid but don't show it," Ryukyu told them.

"Yes, Ryukyu-san," Wendy responded.

"Got it," Hado smiled.

"ROAR"

The group heard a loud roar, they turned and saw a giant villain on a rampage. Thinking quickly Ryukyu activated her quirk turning into a dragon and quickly subdue the villain.

"Wow," Wendy said.

"Cool," Hado smiled "You caught them so quickly,"

"No, it was nothing I assure you," Ryukyu told them humbly "This just part of the job,"

"But with that quick thinking and power it's no wonder you're the number 9 hero," Wendy complimented.

"No, I honestly think I don't deserve the number 9 spot, I would reject it If I had the power to do so," Ryukyu told them.

"Huh," both Wendy and Hado blinked.

"A rank doesn't determine if you're a good hero or not, what matters is you do whatever you can to help," Ryukyu smiled.

Wendy smiled "I see,"

"So cool," Hado said gleefully.

Ryukyu smiled when she handed the villain "Now let's get back on patrol,"

"Yes ma'am," Wendy and Hado bowed.

"Your quirk requires you to do a lot of quick thinking, so you have to master it, then you can master your quirk," Nighteye told Mirio as the two sparred.

"Yes sir," Mirio said as he practiced his permeation.

"Predict your opponent's next move, then you'll be untouchable," Nighteye explained.

"Yes sir," Mirio shouted.

The internship week is almost over and Natsu has not learned a thing from Endeavor. He's been spending most of his time with Kido and Burnin as they showed him the ropes.

"Seriously the week's almost over, and I still haven't worked with Endeavor," Natsu signed.

Burnin laughed and smacked him on the back "What? You don't like our company you've been doing good, you saved a bunch of people this week,"

"Thanks, Burnin," Natsu responded.

As the two were talking, Endeavor walked out of his office.

"Time for patrol, let's go," Endeavor ordered.

"Yes sir," everyone responded.

Endeavor then looked at Natsu "Salamander, you're with me,"

Natsu was shocked at this "Huh,"

"I'm going to show what it means to be a hero," he said in a serious tone.

Natsu blinked at this, but Burnin urged to go follow him and Natsu did just that.

Natsu watched as on patrol with Endeavor he watched the Flame Hero take out several villains and stopped crimes at high speed.

"So what are you going to teach me," Natsu asked.

"I am showing you what a hero is," Endeavor answered.

"Really, I'm just seeing you beat up bad guys, pretty sure I got that down," Natsu said.

"I know what you are capable of in combat, you're reckless and hotheaded. You have to learn to end a fight as quickly as possible that way no property damage can be done," Endeavor told him. "Rescue, Evacuation, and Battle, is what you need to learn agencies mainly focus on one, we do all three,"

"I see," Natsu nodded.

"Just keep watching me, you'll know what a hero does," Endeavor said.

Natsu signed "Seriously as I thought, I wouldn't like guys like you,"

Endeavor raised an eyebrow. "Hmm like I care what you think"

"Well guess, you don't care about others' opinions and it seems you're determined to be the best. I respect that, but there's this aura around like there's something in front of you that you hate," Natsu told him. "Doesn't have something to do with you being number two,"

"Is that the root of your frustration because you can't surpass the symbol of peace," Natsu said, Endeavor scoffed, confirming his suspicions.

Endeavor scoffed "I already know that I can't surpass All Might,"

"So what you giving up on trying to surpass him and do your own thing," Natsu asked.

"No, I've decided to create a hero that will surpass All Might," Endeavor smiled with pride "My greatest creation Shoto,"

"Greatest Creation Shoto," Natsu blinked.

"My youngest son," Endeavor said pridefully, "He is my greatest experiment the one who will surpass number one,"

"Experiment, he's your son, not a tool," Natsu retorted.

Endeavor scoffed "Yes but he will fulfill his purpose once he gets over his rebellious stage, he'll be entering UA by the time you're a third year, he may even surpass you,"

"Listen here, I may not be a parent but your kid is not a tool you can use, just because he can achieve something you can't doesn't mean you can treat him as one, he's a kid let make his own decisions," Natsu told him.

"Like I care what you think, It's the last day of the internship. Once this patrol is done, go home," Endeavor told him as he walked away.

Natsu signed and followed him, "Yup definitely don't like this guy,".

The two continued the patrol not saying anything to each other, but Endeavor kept his eyes on Natsu. As the two patrolled, both their eyes widen when they saw a villain in a hostage situation, the man appeared to have an electric quirk.

"Stay back, give me my money nobody gets hurt," the villain ordered.

"You have a lot of nerve doing this on my turf," Endeavor snarled.

"Endeavor, shit," the villain fired a bolt of electricity, Endeavor was about to block but deflected the attack.

"Salamander," Endeavor said, surprised, he then saw Natsu's fist was engulfed in fire and lighting.

"Sorry Endeavor, I just reacted," Natsu told him.

"What the hell," the villain scrambled. He quickly let go of the hostage and run away, but Natsu quickly appeared in front of him and Endeavor behind.

FIRE LIGHTING DRAGON FIST

Natsu punched him hard in the stomach, burning and electrocuting him, while Endeavor punched the villain hard in the back of the head. After bringing the villain to the police Endeavor walked up to Natsu.

"You can use fire and lighting?" Endeavor asked.

"Yeah, but I mainly used fire since it's what I'm used to," Natsu responded.

"Hmm," Endeavor said "You are an interesting kid," he said under his breath.

"What," Natsu blinked.

"Nothing, the patrol is over, go get your stuff from the agency and go home," Endeavor ordered.

"Yes sir," Natsu responded.

It was the end of the day and Natsu stood at the entrance of Endeavor Agency holding his costume case.

"I may not have been here long, but thank you for having me," Natsu bowed.

Burnin smiled "No Problem man,"

"You have lots of potential," Kido told him "I hope you come back for work-study next time,"

Natsu rubbed the back of his head "Well I didn't know about that but thank you,"

Natsu waved goodbye to the Flaming Sidekick and headed dreadfully to the next train station home. As he was walking he noticed Endeavor watching him from his office window. Natsu just gave a simple wave and walked away.

Endeavor looked over Natsu's file "Natsu Dragneel Quirk: Dragon Fire and Lighting, he can produce and manipulate fire and lighting and shoot it out of any part of his body and also has the ability to consume fire into his body, an interesting kid with an interesting quirk he has two elements like Shoto, his attitude ticks me off but if Shoto meets him, I bet he can learn a lot,"

Natsu returned home and found Gajeel and Wendy already home.

"Okaeri Natsu-san," Wendy smiled.

"Tadaima," Natsu responded.

Natsu jumped onto the couch arms behind his head.

"How'd your guys' internship go," Natsu asked.

"It was great Ryukyu-san taught me a lot," Wendy smiled.

"It was alright, just that Fat spent most of our time buying food," Gajeel shrugged.

"How about you Natsu-san, how was Endeavor," Wendy asked.

Natsu signed "Honestly, it was fine it's just I didn't like the guy,"

"What do you mean," Wendy asked.

"He's just full of so much resentment, I don't know if I want to go back there," Natsu said.

"I see," Wendy said.

"Anyway we should head to bed, we have class," Natsu told them as he headed to his room.

"Alright Night Salamander, kid," Gajeel yawned.

"Good night Natsu-san, Gajeel-san," Wendy said.

"Night you two," Natsu yawned.

After changing into his pajamas, Natsu laid on his back and thought about Endeavor's so-called "Greatest Creation,"

"Shoto Todoroki I wonder what kind of guy is he like certainly hope not like his old man,"
