Chapter 9

Natsu and Mirio walked into the rest area where the rest of the students who passed the first part of the exam were resting.

"Wow, it looks like a lot of people have passed already," Mirio said.

"Well it's to be expected, these guys like us, spent their school days preparing for this day," Natsu told him.

Mirio smiled "You got that right,"

"Oi, Togata, Natsu," Hado called "You guys made it,"

Natsu and Mirio turned and saw Wendy and Hado coming towards them.

"Hado, Wendy, you guys passed too," Natsu smiled.

"Yeah, the others did too thanks to supporting from Wendy-chan," Hado grinned.

"Hado-san helped too, it wasn't just me, everyone in our class did their best and passed," Wendy said.

Natsu grinned and smacked Wendy on the back "Nice job Wendy, I knew you can do it,"

Wendy blushed "Natsu-san,"

Natsu laughed and ruffled her "Come on don't get embarrassed you're already super strong,"

Wendy pouted "I know, and can you stop treating me like a kid," she told him.

"And we're now technically the same age now," she said under breath.

Natsu laughed "I know, but you'll always be like a little sister to me,"

Wendy pouted and blushed "Natsu-san,"

"Oi, Mirio, everyone," Tamaki and Gajeel walked in.

"Oh, you guys passed too," Mirio smiled.

"Of course we did," Gajeel said "Those guys were small fries,"

"Well Gajeel did most of the work," Tamaki told them shyly "I couldn't really do anything,"

"Come on Tamaki, I'm sure you did great," Natsu smiled.

Mera, the exam organizer then stepped onto the stage "Okay it looks like we now have 100 students who passed, we will now began stage 2,"

"Yosh, I'm all fired up," Natsu smirked.

Gajeel snickered "Hope this won't be as boring as the first phase,"

"Besides fighting villains, pro-heroes also need to save people," Mera announced and it was then walls started to rumble again.

"Eh, again," Natsu jumped.

"Seriously what kind of place is this," Hado said.

The walls once again collapsed revealing the large area, but it was different there was destruction everywhere.

"What the hell," Gajeel said.

"How did they do this so fast," Mirio shouted.

"The second phase of the exam will be a rescue operation and don't worry the injured you are supposed to save are trained professionals," Mera announced.

"So this part of the exam is focused on rescue rather than combat," Natsu said.

"What!" Gajeel shouted "That means I don't get to punch anyone,"

The group's sweatdropped.

"How violent are you," Tamaki signed.

Gajeel glared at him, making Tamaki hide behind Mirio.

"Can we focus on the exam please," Wendy told them.

"Now go and save people, the hostages will be the ones who grade you," Mera said "Now begin,"

The classes then all spread out to go find people to save.

"So what exactly do we do, just save people,"

"It seems like that, but I feel there's something else to it," Natsu told his class. "They said the civilians will be the ones who grade us,"

"So maybe we're not just graded on saving them but how we save them," Wendy said, and Natsu nodded. As they were talking, they heard some loud shouting.

"MINUS POINTS,"

Natsu and his group see an actor acting as an injured man yell at a group of students.

"IF YOU IDIOTS MOVE THE DEBRIS LIKE THAT THEN IT WILL COLLAPSE AND INJURE ME MORE YOU IDIOTS!"

"Wow, Natsu was right," Hado said.

"So we think carefully on how we save them," Tamaki said.

"I think it's best if we spread out," Natsu told everyone, he then turned to Gajeel, "Gajeel, you take a group to the city area to help with any fallen structures, your abilities are the best there,"

Gajeel scoffed "Fine, but don't act like you're the boss of me,"

"I'll go with him as well," Tamaki said.

"We need to split up and go to areas and find the best areas suited for our quirks," Natsu told everyone. "I'll go to the water area and see if anyone needs help there,"

The class all nodded and agreed, Wendy, Gajeel, Mirio, Hado, and Tamaki smiled seeing Natsu taking command.

"Wow, he's really grown since the old days," Wendy smiled.

Gajeel smirked "Yeah, it seems to be here really helped him grow and mature a little. He's starting to act like a natural-born leader,"

"Wendy, go help the other schools form a rest area for the injured," Natsu told her. "Hado, you stay in the air and help find any injured,"

Wendy smiled and nodded "Yes, Oniisan,"

Hado saluted and smiled "Yes sir,"

"Alright let's do this," Natsu shouted.

"YEAH!" the class cheered.

"You didn't have to come with me Mirio," Natsu told him.

"Hey you need help too, you can't do this alone," Mirio grinned.

Natsu smiled and it was then the two arrived at the water area and saw a group of students helping the injured.

Natsu ran up to the group "Hey we're here to help,"

"Thank you, this person was in the water and is cold, we need something to warm them up,"

Natsu smiled and ignited his fist and sat near the injured "Here, this can warm you up,"

"Thank you,"

"Mirio, you and these guys go find anyone else who might be cold, I'll stay here and warm them up," Natsu told them.

Mirio gave a thumbs up "You got it, Alright let's go you guys let's show them we can be heroes,"

"These UA aren't actually half bad,"

"HEY YOU IDIOTS DON'T DO THAT THE THINGS GOING TO COLLAPSE!" Gajeel shouted at a group of students.

"Sorry,"

Gajeel signed and used his iron dragon rods to support fallen structures, while Tamaki escorted the injured out of the buildings.

"Let's go, first aid area is over here," Tamaki said shyly.

"Are you serious, you're supposed to be reassuring, don't talk like a sad puppy,"

"Sorry," Tamaki slumped.

"Still though, his confidence needs some work, but he thinks things through thoroughly,"

"Gajeel, there are more people over there," Hado pointed.

"On it, let's go Amajiki," Gajeel called and Tamaki nodded following the Iron-Dragon.

At the first aid area, Wendy was helping tend to the 'wounded,".

"Hey, it'll be alright," Wendy reassured with a kind smile.

"Wah, I want my mommy," the 'child' cried.

"Don't worry, we'll find her," Wendy smiled.

"Here this will warm you up," Natsu lit a fire, warming up the cold ones to help.

"Thank you," one shivered.

"Hmm, these kids are doing a good job at helping the civilians, but how will they do against a villain attack,"

BOOM

There was a loud explosion coming from a section of the arena. A group of students looked and saw an Orca man and his goons.

"That's Gang Orca,"

"What's he doing here,"

"Now Heroes, show me what you can do," Orca shouted.

"So they got a pro to act as a villain for this exam," Natsu said.

"Damn that's cool," Mirio smiled.

"This isn't something you should smile about," Natsu shouted.

"Okay, that's all the injured,"

Hearing that Natsu lit a fire "Okay, stay here and warm up, I'll go and handle the villain, Mirio you stay and help and find any more injured,"

Mirio nodded "I leave it to you,"

"Now heroes show me what you can do," Orca shouted.

It was then Natsu flew and attempted to axe kicked Gang Orca, but the pro blocked it. "Oh, UA's current top student interesting, it seems your the first to strike,"

"Natsu-niisan," Wendy shouted.

"Wendy, get the injured out of here, I'll hold him off," Natsu told her, and Wendy nodded.

"Come on, let's escort the injured to a safer area," Wendy told the other students and they nodded as well.

Natsu smirked at the pro "So I have to fight a pro to pass, things just got interesting," he cracked his knuckles.

"You really think you have a chance against me," Orca told him.

"Let's find out," Natsu smirked and charged at the pro.

Natsu then unleashed another combo of punches and kicks at the pro-hero, but each strike was blocked. Orca then grabbed Natsu by the head and released a hypersonic wave at the dragon slayer.

"Gah," Natsu screamed, but he then bit his tongue and headbutt the pro hero.

Orca smirked "not bad kid, not many can stand up after that attack,"

Natsu smirked "You're good old man, just what I expect from a pro,"

"You're not bad yourself," Orca said. "But you think beating me will have you pass,"

"Nah," Natsu retorted "I've just been distracting you,"

Orca's eyes widened, he saw that all the civilians that were behind Natsu were now all gone. Orca smirked "Not bad kid, so you were the distraction,"

Natsu smirked and jumped back and created a giant fireball "Yeah, and this will be my finishing move,"

FIRE DRAGON'S BRILLIANT FLAME

Natsu unleashed a powerful fire attack at Orca, trapping the pro in a ring of fire, making his skin dry.

Orca smirked "Not bad, Natsu Dragneel," he then took out a bottle of water and poured it on himself. It was then Mirio appeared and pulled Natsu away from the battle, both teens were smiling.

DING DING

"Time is up, the final person has been saved," Mera announced. "And with that the exam is over,"

"It's over," Natsu said.

"Yeah we did it," Mirio cheered.

It was then all the students gathered near the giant monitor and Mera stood at the podium. "I would like to thank everyone for their hard work on this exam,, and now I will announce the results of the exam, before that I need to explain the scoring system, the HUC have decided to score you two-fold demerit system, in simple terms we graded you based on mistakes you made, anyway we will show the results if you're name is on the monitor you pass and it will be syllabary order,"

It was then the monitor lit up revealing all the names of students who have passed. Natsu and his group scrolled through the list, searching for their names, and there they were.

"Our names are there," Natsu said.

"That means," Wendy uttered.

"WE ALL PASSED," Mirio jumped.

The class did the same all smiling and laughing seeing they all passed the exam.

"We did it Wendy-chan," Hado hugged.

"Yeah we did," Wendy smiled.

"I actually passed," Tamaki uttered.

"Why are you sulking," Mirio smiled patting Tamaki on the back "Of course you did,"

"Wow, Gajeel passed, I thought he would fail for his bad attitude," Natsu said.

Gajeel glared "What say you Salamander,"

"Oh nothing," Natsu shrugged, and their class all laughed.

"We got out a provisional license," Mirio smiled "we're finally heroes,"

After some time the students were now all allowed to leave and go back home.

"So what happens now we get out licenses," Natsu asked.

"Well, I heard there is a program we have to do, after," Tamaki answered.

"Oh right, the work-study, a senpai told me about it," Hado said.

"Apparently it's just like the internship but we are treated as pros on the scene," Mirio said.

"So we get in on the action, just what I wanted," Gajeel smirked.

"Yeah, I guess it will be a better experience than the internship," Wendy smiled.

Natsu smirked "Yeah, I can't wait for it,"

"I'm all fired up now,"

Here is chapter 9 and the final part of the Pro license exam, not exactly proud of it but did the best I could do. it was difficult for me to write. Be sure to let me know what you all think.
