"Whats with your grin?" ask Ren walking beside Kushina who's been grinning after the match.
"Well, I've just won a lot of money thanks to someone" Kushina grin even more when she think about it.
"Can't believe you actually bet"
"What?! No one believes you except me!" Kushina pout at Ren.
"You're right, thank you." Ren sincerely thank Kushina.
"Kushina-chan."
"Hmm?" Kushina look questioningly at Ren.
"Where is my share?
"Your share...? Hehe it's my money so you don't have a share" Kushina said smugly.
"But it was thanks to me you've won lots of money" Ren said in dignified manner.
"And i use my own money to bet, so no means no!" Kushina said as she poke her tongue at Ren direction then run while giggling.
"C'mon Kushina-chan..." Ren then chase Kushina.

The next day
Ren manage to coax Kushina to let him borrow money so he could train and become much stronger.
He was about to train when a masked man suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Kaito Ren, Hokage-sama wanted to see you" The masked man emotionless said.
"Lead the way" Ren followed the Anbu.

In Hokage office, The Hokage and the white haired man looking at each other with shock expression.
"I can't... believe it"
"The kid... An 8 year old boy actually kill a Jonin..."
Sarutobi Hiruzen took a deep breath to calm his nerves after a while he said:
"Sakumo, I think Kaito Ren should be promoted to Jonin"
"Hmmm although Kaito Ren has the strength of Jonin he didn't have experience what Jonin mission, what if because of his poorly judgement the client die?" Sakumo the white haired guy said with serious expression.
"I think we should recruite him into the Anbu as substitute"
Hiruzen frown at that and sigh
"The Uchiha won't definitely let go of Ren"
"Danzo too" Sakumo added at that both look at each other.
"You're right he should be recruited in Anbu as substitute however what I'm truly afraid is The Uchiha hostility at Ren made him dissatisfied and leave the village not mention if he meet Danzo... He still young but already powerful... We need something to control Kaito Ren into not leaving the village and made him loyal." Hiruzen said with calculated look.
"About controlling Ren... I heard the kid is closed to Uzumaki Kushina we can use her... Morover he is outsider and grow up inside the village, he has nowhere to go" Sakumo said with confidence.
"Indeed" At that Hiruzen finally smile.
With Kaito Ren joining the Anbu, Sakumo can keep an eye on him, even if Ren becomes too strong as long as Kushina's there, they can control him.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in"
"Hokage-sama, I am Kaito Ren" Ren said
"Oh i sure do know you" the Hokage chuckle as he look at Ren with interest then add: " I cut to the chase, the reason you are here is because i decided that you are recruited as an Anbu substitute. Although you indeed defeat a Jonin but because of your lack of experience i decided that for now you are substituted"
"This guy beside me, Sakumo Hatake, will be your temporary leader, is that clear?"
"Yes sir" Ren said with respect but inside Ren did not respect this Hokage at all.
Sarutobi Hiruzen was a terrible leader. He gave Danzo way too much power which led to the downfall of the Uchiha clan. He allowed the village to bully and shun Naruto despite the fact that he had the power to stop it. He also handled the Hyuga situation poorly which led to the death of Hizashi Hyuga.
'Though if the Uchiha clan keep harrasing me, i won't mind ending their clan' Ren thought as a cold glint flash on his eyes.
In Ren's opinion Hiruzen was the worst Hokage. He didn't harbor any ill feelings towards the Hokage but he was a weak and indecisive leader. Because of his poor leadership many lives were lost.
"Sakumo Hatake, your temporary leader, follow me I'll tour you inside the base." Sakumo said and start walking without for Ren's respond.

After the touring and Sakumo explaining everything to Ren, Ren head towards his first destination without anyone's guiding, the tools department.
"I want two sets of weights" Ren said to the Anbu guarding the tools department. Although he already had weights and wearing it right now, he wants to push his body like Might Duy so he order much heavier than he buy.
"Here, the leader said you are temporary so you can use all the tools you want but you are not allowed bring it home" The Anbu said.
"Got it" Ren took the weights, wear it and start walking to the training area inside the base.
Training inside the base is much better than training outside because of those high quality equipments, so Ren train to exhaustion then flash away to the mountain and start training his devil fruit startling the other Anbu who was training beside him.

A month later
In the mountain, a little boy was sitting while a small ball of light appeared on his palm, then a shocking scene happened, the ball of light slowly but surely mold into the shape of a small bird.
Then the bird made of light rise from the little boy palm, open it wings then fly away at the speed of light hitting the tree and explode.
BOOM!
"I did it" although it was not a very detailed bird Ren was still satisfied. Molding his light into the shape of animal is much harder than ball and sword.
As Ren was about to train, Kushina suddenly came.
"Hi, Ren" Kushina smile at Ren.
"Hello Kushina-chan, what brings you here?" Ren ask.
"Oh it's nothing i just wanted to give this to you." Kushina said while handing a bag.
"Oh a launch box, thank you Kushina-chan" Ren open the bag to look at inside then smiled at Kushina.
As Kushina got closer to Ren suddenly however Ren did something unbelievable, he put his right fist on his left palm and pull a sword made of light then slash at the speed of light, decapitating both Kushina's arm from shoulder.
"Ahhhhhh..." Caught of guard, Kushina scream while looking at her arm lying helplessly on the ground.
"Yo -You... How could you do this to me Ren I'm your Bestfriend!!" Kushina kneel and cry at Ren looking pitiful.
SLAP!
"Stop pretending!" Ren slap Kushina and said with cold voice.
"What do yo-"
SLAP!
"I'm your frie-"
SLAP!
"H -How did you know??" After asking Kushina body suddenly disappeared and a guy with mask helplessly kneeling in front of Ren appeared.
"Simple, i change my training locations every month and because of that my Kushina give up knowing where i train and just wait at my room if she wants something from me" Ren said with smirk.
"Now, how dare you use the image of the most important person in my life??" Ren suddenly turn deadly making the mask man gulped.
PEW!
"Ahhhhhh"
Ren fired non-charged laser beam from his finger so it won't explode but it's powerful enough to pierce this guy body.
PEW!
"Damn yo- Ahhhhh" the maskman words was cut short as fired another non-charged laser.
PEW!
"You basta- ahhhhh"
PEW!
"I'm gonna kil- ahhhh"

"Ha~ ha~ haha is that all you've got?" The mask man mockingly ask.
"Of course not, it's just i find torturing you is boring now I'm going to end you"
"You see, i just learn another technique while training for a whole month it's not perfect but your appearance is perfect to try it on you." Ren smirk, he then open his palm, a small ball of light appear on his palm then it grew larger until It's the size of volleyball ball.
This ball of light is not his usually Light Blast, because this ball of light gives intense heat that it instantly dried up the blood that flow out the hole Ren's laser created.
Gulped!
The masked man look at the mini sun like in front of him with fear, because he was next to the mini sun sweat gushed out of his body and he felt like he was being cook alive.
"Cruel Light!" After admiring it for few seconds Ren point his palm at the mask man to send the mini sun like at the masked man.
Like it was mentioned above this is not his usually Light Blast, so the moment the 'Cruel Sun' touch the masked man body instead of exploding the light envelope the mask man instead like a cocoon.
"Ahhhhhhhh ... Stop it... Help me..."
Ren watch the cocoon cooking the mask man inside without changing his expression. After a few minutes the wailing finally stop but the "Light Cocoon" still surrounding the mask man body, Ren find a seat to wait.

3 hours later
The light encasing the mask man finally vanish leaving a pile of bones in front of Ren.
"It took 3 hours to burn the flesh into ashes but not the bones... Hmmm" Ren said with frown.
'Who the hell sent this guy? I'm so angry for this bastard using Kushina look to assassinate me that i forgot to ask... Well eve if i ask this bastard probably won't tell anything' Ren self comfort himself.
While he thinking, several Anbu arrive they were alerted because of the smoke. The Anbu observe the surrounding before noticing Ren sitting in front of a piled of bones.
"What happen here, Kaito Ren?" One of the Anbu ask.
"The guy was planning to assassinate me so i kill him" Ren said innocently.
For a moment the Anbu was taken a back at the fact, that a child standing in front him just kill someone a moment ago but now he looks like a harmless kid.
"Come with us to report to Hokage-sama" The Anbu come back to his sense and order Ren.
"Alright" Ren stand up and pat his butt then follow the Anbu.
