I do not own Harry Potter, the series would have been so much more darker if I was.
Hello guys, Badger here. Here with Chapter 2, to this story. This chapter was delayed somewhat. I placed this chapter to one side to work on other stories and University work and yesterday I had a migraine so looking at a computer screen was near impossible for me to finish it, but it's finished now, so that's all that matters.
I have a few plans for this story. Plans that I think you will enjoy. But you'll have to wait and see what they are. For now, I'll let you read the new chapter and I will see you at the end.
Chapter 2
Rise Of The Lord Of Death And Rebirth
Harry, otherwise known as Voldemort, was alone as he splashed his face with water in the sink. Taking over the young boys body was more painful then the Dark Lord was expecting. But he was happy with the results. As Voldemort took over Harry's body, he had access to his memories. Voldemort had already planned on killing the worthless, filthy Muggles, the boy called his relatives, but after what he had seen, he was going to make sure their deaths were slow and painful. Looking in the mirror, he knew he would need to do something about his eyes. A simple glamour charm should be more then enough to return the crimson glow back to the Emerald Green. He didn't want the fool Dumbledore knowing that he had returned. Not yet anyway. Now that he has taken over Harry's body, he planned to take over the Wizarding World from the inside. Starting with Hogwarts and his followers still locked up inside Azkaban.
With that in mind, he pushed himself off of the sink and closed his eyes. After a moment, he Disapparated in a cloud of black smoke. There was someone who he needed to pay a visit too.
…
Lucius Malfoy sat, alone in his private study, reading through multiple scrolls and papers on his desk. Each one of them being Betrothal Contracts. As his son Draco was the heir to the Malfoy name and fortune, the boy was going to need a suitable wife on his arm. Preferably someone with intelligence as, despite all attempts Lucius had made before the boy went to Hogwarts, Draco wasn't the smartest…and was very loud and vocal in his opinions. Lucius had tried to teach the boy subtlety, but it never seemed to stick inside that thick skull of his. So, Lucius needed to make sure, the one to be betrothed to Draco would be a proper Pureblood. He had already thrown out multiple contracts, after only looking at who was listed, knowing they were not worthy to bare the Malfoy name. After spending an hour looking through them, Lucius started to pack things up, deciding to look through the rest tomorrow, when he felt the whole building shake. With how violent it was, Lucius knew that someone had shattered through the wards, that were made to stop people Apparating into his Manor.
Hearing someone walking down the corridor, towards his study, Lucius removed his wand from his cane. He knew it wasn't Narcissa or Draco, the two were currently out. His grip on his wand tightened, as the intruder got closer to the door, the Killing Curse ready on the tip of his tongue. He stood, ready, as he saw the door handle turn, allowing the intruder to enter. Lucius was shocked when he saw who was standing on the other side of the door, but he quickly squashed that surprise.
"Potter!" He snarled "You dare intrude onto my home…Incarcerous!"
Malfoy had thought about killing the boy, but decided against it. Lucius wasn't stupid. If the 'Boy-Who-Lived' of all people, went missing, Lucius knew this would spark investigations, particularly on people who were either followers of Voldemort, or supporters of the Dark Lords cause. Even though Lucius had claimed to be under the Imperius, there were still many in the Wizarding World who suspected otherwise. Understandably so, as Lucius was one of Voldemort's most trusted lieutenants. Because of this, Lucius would be one of the first to be investigated and Lucius didn't want to risk being found guilty of the boys murder. Instead, he planned on apprehending the boy.
Lucius didn't know how Potter shattered through the Manors Wards, but Lucius was sure he could get the boy in some kind of legal trouble. However, to his surprise, Potter raised his hand forming a wandless shielding charm, stopping the ropes from restraining him.
"Typical Lucius" Potter snarled "I am not Potter…take a closer look you fool!"
The tone and venom in the young boys voice surprised Lucius for a moment. The boys voice was cold, malicious and, almost, vindictive. Almost sounded like….no, it couldn't be. Lucius took a closer look, specifically at the boys eyes. Everyone in the Wizarding World knew the boy had eyes that were a vivid Emerald Green, courtesy of all the fantasy books that had been made about him years ago. However, the boys eyes weren't green. They were a terrifying Crimson. He knew those eyes.
"My…My Lord?" He asked, voice slightly shaky, as he dropped his wand
"Correct" Potter replied, voice smooth yet cold "I have returned"
"But…I don't understand…how?" Lucius asked, unsure on the right words to use
"Is it not obvious?" His Master replied, his voice dripping with harsh sarcasm "I have been able to take control of Potters body…though I must say, I find it interesting that I was able to obtain a new body…something you seemed to have failed to do for ten years…why is that Lucius…have you betrayed me and my cause"
"No my lord" Lucius said quickly, as he fell to his knees, as he felt the atmosphere in the room become thick and cold, making it difficult to breath "I…I'd never betray you my lord…I…I was merely biding my time…even after all this time, many still suspect my claims of the Imperius to be false…I chose to wait for the right opportunity…I knew you would return…"
Lucius felt like choking with how thick the air was getting. It as becoming unbearable. The look in his Masters eyes wasn't helping either. Many of the Dark Lords followers have been given the same look at some point. The blank stare made it unclear whether he as angry, or disappointed. Depending on who you asked, the Dark Lords disappointment was worse then his anger. After a few more second, the Dark Lord blinked and the tension in the air evaporated allowing Lucius to breath in the air, freely, again.
"I hope you are telling the truth Lucius" He said "With many of my loyal followers trapped behind a cell in Azkaban, I can't afford to lose anymore and you are still useful to the cause, it would be a waste to kill you…though if you disappoint me again, I may not be so generous!"
"I understand my lord" Lucius bowed his head "My lord, forgive me, but I must ask…what's happened to Potter?"
"Gone" His master replied "When I entered the boys body, I sat inside his heart and carved out his soul…Harry Potter is dead"
"That's glorious my lord" Lucius praised "But, what do we do about the boys friends?"
"All in good time Lucius" His master replied "For now, give me your wand, it is time to call those that still walk free"
…
In his office at Hogwarts, Dumbledore was pacing back and forth. To say he was worried, would be an understatement. Whilst Harry was lying unconscious in the Infirmary, after everything that happened with the Philosophers Stone, Dumbledore set up some wards around the Dursleys home. Wards that would protect Harry from any witch or wizard who wished harm on the boy and to also keep track of the boys whereabouts, to make sure he's safe. However, a device on his desk which he used to keep an eye on the wards, had shattered. Dumbledore immediatley went to the Dursleys home, to find it empty and none of Dumbledore's tracking charms could pinpoint Harry's location.
Dumbledore wasn't sure what was going on. He couldn't explain why, but he felt a cold chill run through his entire body. Looking out the window in his office, his gaze went past the trees and hills, towards the dark clouds forming, along with the faint rumble of thunder.
A storm was coming.
…
Elsewhere, a small rat scuttled along the pavement, avoiding anyone and everyone walking by, as well as manoeuvring around those that tried to kick it away in disgust. After avoiding another boot, that was close to sending the rat across the road, the rat turned round a corner and into a narrow alleyway, away from prying eyes. The rat then started to shake, slowly growing and morphing into a pale man, with thin greying hair, and a mouse like face, with large two front teeth.
Peter Pettigrew.
He stretched his back, as he kept himself hidden away. Ever since Voldemort's demise, he had remained hidden as a rat, knowing there would be some individuals who would love to see his head mounted on their wall. It wasn't long until he was found in Weasley's family garden, where he was raised as a pet by their oldest child, before being passed down to Ron Weasley. The past ten years hasn't been easy, having to remain in his rat form most of the time, but it was better then the alternative. However, after returning to the building he has called home for over ten years, he felt his arm burn. The Dark Mark, once faded, had become clear. The black tattoo that plagued his life had started to glow an ominous green, as it seemed to shift and move on his fore arm. That only meant one thing.
Voldemort had returned.
And he was summoning his followers. Peter knew that his return was inevitable. He dreaded the day, for he feared how the Dark Lord would respond to Peter's presence. Peter was the one to give him the location of the Potters. The same place where the Dark Lord met his demise. Peter also ignoring the summons wasn't an option. He may not of been the smartest during his time at Hogwarts, but even Peter knew that would be suicidal. If he ignored the summons, The Dark Lord would soon come looking for him.
Sometimes Peter questioned why he joined Voldemort in the first place.
…
Voldemort stood alone, as he looked into the full length mirror, the face of Harry Potter looking back at him. He had summoned his followers. It was only a matter of time, until they arrived. That gave him plenty of time for him to dress appropriately. With a few resizing charms, Voldemort was now dressed in some black robes, suitable for a Dark Lord.
As he looked in the mirror, Voldemort knew his plans were going to take longer then he hoped. He may have been a powerful Dark Wizard, but he had the body of an eleven year old. He could feel the restrictions. He was barely able to block Lucius' binding spell with his shield charm. Voldemort could feel the strength Harry Potter was capable of, but he was going to need to train, if he hoped to be as powerful as he was before. Only then, would he be able to take over the Wizarding World. The more he thought, however, the more he felt like he needed a change in title.
When he was the weakling that was Tom Riddle, he fashioned the name Voldemort, as a way to strike fear in the Wizarding World. By using words in the French language, his name translated to 'Flight From Death'. At the time, it felt appropriate. Now, however, he was having second thoughts. The reason why he targeted the Potter boy, was because he was part of a prophecy. Voldemort's spy had informed him of a prophecy, between himself and Potter. Whilst his spy hadn't heard the whole thing, he knew what the prophecy was trying to tell him. Harry Potter was the one, and the only one, who could defeat Voldemort. However, now that Voldemort has stolen his body, removing his soul, even with his Horcruxes, Voldemort had nothing to fear.
The only one who could defeat him was no more.
For this reason, he felt like a name change was in order. He needed a powerful name, one that people would fear across the Wizarding World. As he thought, one name kept coming to mind. Osiris. The Egyptian Lord of the Underworld. God of Death and Rebirth. The name felt more then appropriate. Smiling darkly, the crimson glow of his eyes increased, the paleness of his skin making the light look brighter.
Today, marked the day, Osiris will rise.
…
And that marks the end for the new chapter. What did you guys think?
When it came to giving Voldemort a new name, I went with the name Osiris, as a way to tribute a now scrapped story I called Osiris Rising. The name felt appropriate to use again. So, for the rest of the story, Harry/Voldemort will be named Osiris for the rest of the story. I thought I'd tell you know so there isn't any confusion.
Now, in the previous chapter, someone asked me about the pairing in this story. As of now, I have no pairings in mind for the story. I don't know if there will be a pairing, but if you have an idea for a pairing, do leave suggestions. Remember, even though Harry is only 11 - 12 at the moment, Voldemort has taken over his body and he's a lot older.
That is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time.
