Chapter 12

Present 1-A Dorm

Class 1-A were resting in their dorms after their fight with Natsu, Mirio, and Gajeel. The girls were all kinda gushing about them. While in the background Bakugou was yelling at everyone, as usual, to give him the trash since he is still under house arrest for his fight with Midoriya.

"Aw Man, Dragneel-Senpai, Togata-senpai, and Refox-senpai are so cool," Ashido gushed.

Jirou nodded "And the speech Togata-senpai gave he sounded like a real pro,"

Kirishima grinned and bumped his fist together "Yeah those guys are real manly,"

Tsuyu smiled "Yes, I look forward to doing the work-study,"

Uraraka nodded "Yeah, but they're still trying to figure out what to do with the first years,"

Momo combed her hair "For now, we need to wait for Aizawa-sensei to give us approval,"

"What do you think he's going to say," Kaminari asked.

"He was kind of against it when he told us about it," Sato pointed out remembering what they heard in class.

"Oh, who do you guys think is the coolest out of all of them," Sero asked.

"It has to be Togata-senpai, he's so pro-like," Sato answered.

"I have to give it Redfox-senpai, he's so manly," Kirishima smirked.

"I think it's Dragneel-senpai, he's so cool and handsome. so much like an ikemen," Hagakure gushed.

"It's obviously Marvell-senpai and Hado-senpai," Mineta pervertedly said only to be once again tied up and beaten.

"Natsu Dragneel," Todoroki thought. He thought about the third year since he saw the fight and what Aizawa told him.

"Natsu Dragneel," Aizawa said. "His fire quirk is powerful indeed,"

"Yeah," Todoroki nodded as he watched the fight in amazement. "His power is like my old man's"

"As far I know, his flames surpass that of Endeavor's," Aizawa told him, shocking Todoroki. "Every fight I've seen him in, he has shown no drawbacks from overuse of his flames and I've seen him do things with his flames not even Endeavor can do."

Todoroki looked at his left hand "Flames that surpass my old man's, Natsu Dragneel,"

Midoriya who was in his room laid back in bed and thought about it as well, it was then he sat back up, pulled out his phone and called Gran Torino, hoping to get to do the work-study under him.

"Sorry kid, but I'm busy," Gran Torino told him.

"What really," Midoriya signed, disappointed.

"Why don't you ask your master, he probably has tons of connections like his former sidekick,"

Midoriya's eyes widened, he knew exactly who came to mind when Torino uttered those words.

3-A Dorm Natsu's room

Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy were all hanging out in Natsu's room.

"Those brats are pretty interesting," Gajeel smirked.

"Yeah, but I think you guys went a bit too far with them," Wendy lightly laughed.

"Come on Wendy, they needed that to learn a lesson, if we didn't kick their asses they would have been too overconfident in their abilities and end up dead," Natsu told her.

"True, but remember things are different here than in our world," Wendy signed.

Natsu smirked "Yeah, I know but it's an important lesson for them to learn. There will always be someone stronger than you out there, that's what I learned back in Fairy Tail, and its important they learn that too, and they need to learn the difference between strength and experience"

Gajeel nodded "Yeah just because you powered up doesn't always guarantee the win,"

Natsu and Wendy nodded in agreement, experiencing battles like that before.

"Do you think everyone is okay," Wendy asked looking down.

Natsu's and Gajeel's demeanor changed to the same look as Wendy's.

"I don't know for sure, they're probably having lots of fun adventures," Natsu smiled.

"Or they think we're dead," Gajeel said sternly.

"Gajeel," Natsu looked at him,

"Hey, who knows what's been going on since we vanished on Tenrou," Gajeel shouted.

"Yeah, but still we can't give up hope we'll see them again," Natsu told him. "No, I know we'll see them again."

"I miss them," Wendy wiped a tear.

Natsu and Gajeel nodded.

"Yeah, me too," Gajeel nodded.

"Carla," Wendy cried.

"Levy, Lilly," Gajeel looked down.

"Happy, Erza, Lucy, Gray, Gramps, Everyone, I hope you're all okay, and wherever you guys are, I hope you know we're doing alright," Natsu thought to himself.

Wendy then took out a photo album "You know, if we ever do get back home I was hoping to show this to them,"

Natsu and Gajeel looked at the photos and all three of them, it was an album of all their memories they made in this world. The Entrance exam, Sports Fest, getting their pro-license, spending time with Mirio and them it was all there,

Once all the emotions left, the three went back to what they were originally discussing.

"So did any first years catch your guy's eyes," Wendy asked.

"Yeah, that Kirishima brat is interesting but that kind of mentality he has is kinda annoying," Gajeel answered.

Natsu nodded "Right, he goes off about being a man, like someone we know," The group's thought went immediately to Elfman. "Yeah if those two met, they probably get along,"

"How about you kid," Gajeel asked the sky mage.

"Well the ones who stood out to me were Uraraka and Tsuyu," Wendy said. "They seem to show a lot of potential, and Natsu-san,"

Natsu thought for a moment "Well, out of everyone I have to say Midoriya, I don't why he has this kind of feeling around him,"

"Midoriya?" Wendy raised an eyebrow.

Gajeel snickered "I thought you pick scarface since you know his dad,"

Natsu signed "Well I was going to ask him to join the agency I'm under but he failed his provisional license exam, seriously how am I going to show off to Endeavor's face now," he complained, making Wendy's sweatdrop but got a laugh.

"Anyway, it's getting late, we'll find out tomorrow if the first years get to do the work-study," Natsu said.

Gajeel nodded and walked out the door "Alright night, Salamander, kid," he yawned and went to his room.

"Good night Natsu-san, Gajeel-san," Wendy smiled.

"Wait, Wendy," Natsu stopped her.

"Yes," Wendy asked.

"I promise you, we will see everyone again," Natsu told her. "I swear it,"

Wendy smiled softly "Yeah, I know we will,"

Natsu smiled "Night Wendy,"

"Good night, nii-san," Wendy smiled and went back to her room.

Natsu smiled and laid in bed and stared at the ceiling. His memories went to those of Fairy Tail.

"Everyone I swear we will see each other again, I promise,"

Class 1-A

"Now about the work-study," Aizawa started.

The class listened with anticipation to hear the answer.

"These are more intense than the internships, you will go to pro hero agencies and help them, we held a faculty meeting about it yesterday, and almost all the teachers and the principal all said you shouldn't do it," Aizawa said sternly.

"EEEEHHHHH!" the class shouted.

"After that big meeting we all had, you guys said no," Kirishima shouted.

"But I guess it makes sense if you think about why we are in the dorms," Kaminari played with Ojirou's tail.

Bakugou grinned mockingly and stood "AHAHA!" he laughed.

"You're happy because you wouldn't have been able to participate anyway," Hagakure signed.

"However, there were those among us who said you should go out and gain experience," Aizawa continued. "And you can't become strong heroes just staying in the classroom, so we decided that you first years will be able to participate, but only to agencies that have a good track record of work-study students."

Hearing that Bakugou gained a tick mark and his anger fumed hearing about the others talking about different agencies.

"GOD DAMN IT!" he yelled.

"An agency with a good track record, Gran Torino won't take me because of other business but he mentioned," Midoriya thought.

"You want to go to Sir Nighteye for work-study," All Might asked shocked.

"Yes," Midoriya bowed. "He's one of the few heroes that actually worked under you,"

"He's so energetic," Midnight thought, seeing Midoriya's face.

"Sir Nighteye, huh." All Might said "What made you think of him," Midoriya then explained that it was Gran Torino "I see Torino told you,"

"Yes," Midoriya bowed "So please introduce me,"

"No," All Might refused, shocking Midoriya "First, I was one of the few who opposed the work-study for the first years it's too early,"

"I agree," Thirteen added.

"Hey they need experience," Midnight said.

"Second, your Shoot-style still needs work," All Might continued.

"I think he's doing pretty good," Ectoplasm said.

"But he still needs improvement in other areas," Cementoss told him.

"Third, I can't talk to him for personal reasons," All Might said bluntly.

"Letting personal feelings get to you All Might," Mic teased.

"All Might," Midoriya faced him "Kacchan told me not to lose if someone already laid the groundwork. My Quirk is similar to yours, If I go to Nighteye then I'll be comparable to you," he said with determination.

All Might signed "an impatient successor," he looked at Midoriya as he bowed "I like your attitude but like I said I can't introduce you," Midoriya's eyes widened "Well I can't," All Might smiled.

"Will third years Mirio Togata and Natsu Dragneel please report to the counseling office All Might would like to have a word with the two of your," the announcement went.

Natsu, Mirio, Gajeel, Wendy, Hado, and Tamaki were all surprised at hearing the announcement.

"All Might wants to meet us," Mirio smiled.

"Hmm, that's weird don't you think," Natsu shrugged.

"Hey what did you guys do," Hado asked curiously.

"You didn't burn down another school building did you Natsu," Tamaki asked.

"Yeah, you promised you wouldn't do that anymore," Wendy told him.

"You really expect him not to burn something down," Gajeel said to her.

"No," Natsu signed "I did not burn down a school building that was one time,"

Everyone just stared at him blankly, making him sweat "Two times," they still kept their blank stares. "Fine three, four, five, seriously can you guys lay off," Natsu shouted.

"Honestly you burn down so many buildings it's hard to keep track," Hado said.

Natsu grew a tick mark and turned away "Whatever, let's go Mirio," Mirio nodded and followed.

"Yeah, we got TO-GA-TA to see what All Might wants," Mirio grinned, earning sweat drops from everyone. He then winked "Another bad one huh,"

…

"You...Are...Here!" Mirio cheered, he and Natsu were sitting on the couch in the counseling office with Midoriya between them.

Natsu signed "Really,"

"Sorry, I got excited when I heard All Might wanted to talk to us," Mirio laughed.

"Um, I don't understand what's going on," Midoriya asked.

"Yeah, we don't know either right Natsu," Mirio smiled and Natsu nodded.

"Hey, Midoriya, how are you and your friends you guys took quite the beating," Natsu asked the first year.

"We're all good, we're all grateful for the match you guys gave us. You guys taught us a lot," Midoriya smiled.

"So what you called us here for All Might," Natsu leaned in his seat.

All Might nodded "You see Midoriya-shounen, Togata-shonen and Dragnee-shounen are both doing work-study under Nighteye,"

Midoriya blinked and his eyes widen and he turned to both of them "Is that true senpai-Tachi,"

Mirio grinned and Natsu nodded "Yeah, we've been working for him for about a year,"

"That means you guys are guaranteed Sidekicks after graduation," Midoriya grinned.

"That's only if Sir, is okay with it," Mirio told him "Right Natsu,"

Natsu nodded "yeah but it's more than likely be you I don't think he likes me that much,"

"Oh come on man, Sir likes you," Mirio smiled.

"You guys are so cool," Midoriya's eyes sparkled.

All Might coughed "Now to get straight to the point, Togata-Shounen, Dragneel-Shounen do you think Midoriya-Shounen has the potential to work under Nighteye,"

"I see you want us to introduce him to Sir," Natsu said and All Might nodded.

"I see, that's why you called us," Mirio slapped his fist in his palm, and he then put his arm around Midoriya "We'll gladly introduce him,"

All Might nodded "I see then,"

"But why to use us as middlemen, I'm sure Sir would like to talk to you," Natsu told the former number 1.

Mirio nodded "Yeah he looked at pictures of you all the time,"

"Well I can't talk to him for personal reasons," All Might answered "And I ended the exact way he predicted," the last part caught the three by surprise. "So what do you two think of Midoriya-shounen,"

"Well," Mirio turned to Midoriya "What kind of hero do you want to be, Midoriya-kun," Midoriya was surprised by this.

"Yeah, What is your reason for becoming a hero? Why is it the path you follow?" Natsu asked.

Midoriya was shocked by the questions Natsu and Mirio asked him. Midoriya thought back to his memories of what made him want to be a hero. "I want to become a hero to make people….no," Natsu's eyes narrowed a bit when he stopped his answer. "I want to become a hero to be strong so that no one will worry about me. I want to save everyone. I want to become the greatest hero," he declared.

Both Mirio and Natsu were surprised by his answer, but they saw the determination in the first year's eyes.

"Wow, that's a crazy goal you have," Mirio said.

"It's going to be a long and hard road ahead of you if that's your goal," Natsu nodded.

It was then Mirio gave a thumbs up to Midoriya "There's no way we can say no, after hearing that," and Natsu nodded.

"What really," Midoriya shouted, and Natsu and Mirio nodded.

Natsu bumped Midoriya's chest with his fist. "It's an amazing goal you set for yourself, I can tell your serious with that look in your eyes,

Midoriya brightened up even more "Thank you so much,"

"No prob, I know Sir will like you," Mirio smiled.

"We'll introduce you to sure to make a good first impression," Natsu smirked. "We don't know if he'll accept you yet,"

"Don't worry, I'll do my best," Midoriya smiled.

All Might just starred at the three as they conversed, "To think if I hadn't met Midoriya-shounen, then one of these two," All Might's stare laid on Natsu and Mirio. "Might have been my successor,"

"Out of all the student of UA these two are primary candidates to succeed you, though their grades are not the best there is always a wave of smiles when these two are around,"

…

"So and Mirio are going to introduce Midoriya-Kun to Nighteye," Wendy asked and Natsu nodded.

"Yeah, he wants to do a work-study under him, though I have doubts Sir will accept him, but the kid got spirit, we couldn't refuse," Natsu smirked.

"Yeah I can tell from the fight," Wendy smiled.

"You know I think he'd make a great member of Fairy Tail," Natsu smiled, and Wendy nodded in agreement.

"Midoriya Izuku, I hope you can show me what else you got,"

Elsewhere, above in the beautiful night sky unknown to the people below, a small crack appeared.

An Wow a new chapter so soon, just got a writer high so I finished this chapter early what do you all think. Just set up for Chisaki arc, might leave out LOV stuff, I'll allude for it but to save time since most people already most seen the arc. What do you guys the crack in the sky might mean?
