Our story starts like any other. With a journey that will lead into a legend.

No young man, no matter how great, can know his destiny. He can not glimpse his part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone, he must live and learn. So it will be for the young Warlock Fox, arriving at the gates of Camelot, a boy that will in time father a legend. His name… MERLIN.

A young boy at the age of only 16 winters stops and lets his eyes glance at the white towers of Camelot. His new home from this moment on. On top of his head stood a deep orange set of fox ears and a long fluffy tail to match them. He also needs to be careful because he is also an Omega.

In a world where Wolves and Foxes live, they have Alpha's, Beta's and Omega's. Alpha's protect the Beta's and Omega's. Beta's can mate other Beta's and Omega's, but never Alpha's. Omega's can mate with Alpha's and Beta's. Beta's can breed, but it takes them a few tries, whereas Omega's can have pups and kits when they go into heat once a year. When an Omega hits 18 summers/winters, they go into their first heat. This is when they chose a mate for life.

There is also the 'True Mate' bond. This bond is made if you find your true love in life. No one can break this bond. They are one in love. If an Alpha finds his True Mate, they become protective over them. They will do everything in their power to provide for them, becoming concerned if they are not well or if they are hurt.

It is very very rare for a Wolf and a Fox to be true mates, but not impossible.

Merlin took a deep breath and started forward towards his new home.

~Inside of Camelot~

Looking around everything felt exciting to Merlin. A smile upon his face as he took everything in. People at stalls selling things, people moving carts full of hay or dirt, guards all over the place keeping the people safe, the smell of breads, sweets and meat filling the air. The smell made Merlin's stomach growl, but he ignored it. He didn't have the coins to get anything and he needed to find his uncle and see about getting a job first.

Walking more into Camelot, Merlin didn't notice the four drunk men coming up behind him, until one of them grabbed onto his tail and pulled him into an alleyway. Distracted by they painful yank on his tail, Merlin didn't feel anything else until his head and back hit the brick wall behind him.

"Well, well, well. Looky here fellas. Looks like we have ourselves an Omega fox. I think he will be a perfect breeder for me. What do you think guys? I get him first, then you can have him?"

The guy's friends all grinned and nodded in excitement.

Merlin's breathing sped up as fear set in. His heart was pounding in his chest as he started to panic. Life was supposed to be better for him in Camelot. Before his mom had died, she told him to get to Gaius in camelot. He would protect Merlin and help him, but instead he was about to lose everything and all because he was an unmated Omega fox.

While he was distracted by his thoughts, Merlin didn't feel the ugly smelly man approach him until he felt hands grabbing at his body and pushing him down onto the wet mud.

The drunk man moved to stand over Merlin, a creepy smile on his face. His hands went to his pants.

"This is going to be so good. It's been a very long time since I've had a good romp and you boy will be perfect."

As he started to unlace his pants, Merlin didn't think about his action. He moved his leg and kicked the man above him.

The kick hit the man in his nether zone, causing him to stumble backwards and into his friends. Watching them all fall over.

Without thinking about anything else, Merlin got up off of the ground and ran out of the filthy Alleyway. Heading straight for the main capital of Camelot.

As he ran, he heard the yelling of the four men chasing him. Turning his head as he ran, he could see them gaining closer to him. Letting out a panic squeak, Merlin moved his legs faster. Blindly running, trying to get somewhere safe.

Looking back to see how close they are, Merlin didn't notice where his feet were going. The toe of his boot hit a raised part of stone and Merlin felt himself falling down onto the hard stone ground. Trying to stop his fall, Merlin thrust out his left arm, but instead of catching himself, he felt his arm give out just as a snapping sound sounded and pain shooting through his body as he landed onto the ground.

The pain was intense. His body was shaking from it and his instinct kicked in. Letting out a distress yowl and distress pheromones that would alert a nearby Alpha who might help him.

~Arthur~

Arthur Pendragon was in a very bad mood. He just left the counsel chambers where his father was again trying to marry him off to a princess in one of the five kingdoms.

His white world ears flat against his head, his tail swishing back and forth as the anger settled in.

His father just doesn't understand that Arthur wanted to find his True Mate and that he is attracted to men, but he only brushed that off saying that it's for the good of the kingdom that he marries a princess to strengthen the allies along with it.

It made Arthur sick to his stomach just thinking about being with a woman and marrying into a loveless marriage. It made his blood boil that his father could understand this.

So without another word, Arthur left the room and was now on his way to his room to cool off. Maybe he needed to go to the training grounds and beat the dummy for a while until lunch time.

As he arrived at his chambers, Arthur walked in to see his servant Alex sweeping the floors. The windows open letting in fresh fall air. Walking over to the window, Arthur rested his arms onto the window seal and took a deep breath of fresh air. The smell of crisp leaves and damp grass helped calm his nerves a little. Closing his eyes, Arthur just focused on the smell and cool breeze.

Opening his eyes, Arthur was about to move away from the window, when a competition caught his ears. Turning back to the window, Arthur sees a boy about sixteen summers old with orange ears and tail running into the capital. His body tense with fear, tail tucked around his waist.

Arthur sees him turn his head to look behind him and he follows where his eyes are looking, only to see four very pissed off Beta's chasing him.

He turns back to the boy just as he falls to the ground. Hearing a snap that hits the air like thunder. He sees the boy's body curl up and the painful yowl that he lets loose goes straight to Arthurs heart. The urge to protect him is overwhelming. Before he could run from the room, Arthur smells a sweet smell of cinnamon, pine, vanilla, pain and distress. Causing Arthur to growl. Without another look, Arthur took off running.

Running through the corridor, running down the stairs and reaching the doors that led out to the main area that is used for gathering.

Just as he stepped foot outside, the smell of the Omega pheromones were so strong that Arthur was afraid that he might lose control of his wolf.

Looking over at the Omega that was on the ground, Arthur could see that he was surrounding him and laughing. Letting out a loud growl, Arthur moved toward them. His eyes vibrant red and teeth barred in a threatening manner.

The four men who were taunting the Omega jumped when they heard the growling. Turning their heads, they all jumped back as they saw the Prince heading their way.

"What the hell do you think you are doing? Did you think that you could have your way with him just because he's an Omega? Do the laws not matter to you?"

They all cower under his voice. Even Bata's know that when you are being spoken to by an Alpha, you show respect. One of the men spoke.

"S-s-sir. Our apologies. We were not thinking straight. When the smell of him came upon us, we didn't think. He was just too tempting and the fact that he was a Fox Omega, we thought it would be OK to have him. He's not from here my lord."

Arthur looked at the whimpering Fox on the ground, before glaring at the men again.

"That is NO excuse! Even if he was from the ocean. The laws are there to protect everyone. So because of your judgment and injuring an Omega you all are to be sent to the dungeons until your trial. GUARDS!"

The loudness of the booming voice that came from the prince had all four Bata's on the ground in seconds.

Soon footsteps were heard.

"Sir? You called?"

Without turning to face the guard that spoke, Arthur knew who it was. It was Leon. His most trusted Bata who he's known for many years and is a good friend to him.

"Leon, I want you to get these four men and take them to the dungeons to await trial. They were attempting to rape an Omega and injured him in the prosses. I want them in cuffs and in separate cells."

When Arthur finished, he heard a small growl coming from Leon.

"Right away Sir. You have my word. I'll personally see to it that your orders are made."

Leon and three other knights stepped forward, grabbed the cowering men on the ground. Getting them to their feet, looking cuffs around their wrists and took them away.

Once they were gone, Arthur moved towards the scared Omega. Getting down onto his knees, Arthur spoke to him softly. To help him calm some, Arthur let out a calming pheromone.

"Hey there. You're safe now. They are gone. No one is going to hurt you. Do you think you can uncurl yourself for me so I can see about getting you some help?"

Hearing the calm voice of the Alpha and the calming pressens that he gave off, Merlin slowly moved his body. His head peeked out to see who it was that saved him.

When he looked at Arthur, a spark shot through his body. His eyes widened as he looked at Arthur. He saw the man covered in a golden light. His skin glowing and his eyes the most beautiful red he has ever seen. His wolf eyes up and alert. The temptation to touch them flashed through his mind, before he looked down at the ground.

When Arthur saw him move his head and look at Arthur, he felt a spark shoot through his body as he looked into the eyes of this Fox Omega. The glowing light surrounding the boy made him look beautiful. The urge to nuzzle into his neck and hold him was very strong. The thought of brushing his thick and beautiful fox tail was tempting.

One thing that popped into both of their minds was the word
