Well then, here's the next chapter of my story, The beginning of the fall. Let's all see how it would turn out yes? Also I know that I skipped or passed a lot of Vol 3. I get it but… Things are going to change when this mess is over. Kind of. Still thinking about it… Anyways let's move on to the comments.

Selfishgecko: Well… From what I can get, Yang still had aura when she recklessly charged at Adam. Adam also used his Semblance on Yang, which on the wiki, says that it releases a powerful strike after absorbing attacks. So I could only guess that Adam overwhelmed Yang's aura and severed her arm in one swing. In short Jade got shot by a sniper gun that hits really really hard and it went through his aura without resistance.

Besides that… Let's move on to this mess called the fall of beacon. Oh boy! I hope you will enjoy this work.

Chapter 21

Changing Fate For a Price

"Jade!" Everyone from team RWBY and JNPR called him out as he collapsed to his knees in front of a shocked and horrified audience as Sun got up and rushed towards Jade who was trying not to collapse.

"Nonononono! Jade!" Blake wailed in fear and sadness as she got up and ran towards the stadium while her friend did the same.

"Blake! Wait up!" Yang called her partner as she chased after her.

"Blake!" Jaune called her as he and his team also followed her.

Jade was… shocked. He screwed up, he screwed up badly, he wasn't careful and paid the price for it. A hole through his chest and all he felt was dread. The realisation that he was the catalyst to cause the fall. And he could do nothing about it as everything became a blur and he can't hear anything that was being said, as it all sounds like chalk being scratched against a board and it wasn't pleasant to his ears. All while he desperately used his semblance to cover the hole in his chest. But… it wasn't enough...

The bullet that hit him was probably an aura piercing bullet, or someone used a very big rifle on him as he could feel his blood beginning to leak from his mouth all while Sun quickly rushed towards him. It was then that Raphael's voice could barely be heard.

"Jade! You there?! If you can, I will do all I could to patch up your wound and prevent you from bleeding out but, you need to move now! So get up!" Raphael yelled in his head as Jade could feel the hole in his chest began to heal rather painfully.

"No! Cut the broadcast now!" Port yelled as Sun could be seen trying to help Jade.

"Broadcast, what are you doing!" Oobleck hissed into his headset. "Kill the feed now!"

"Somethings wrong!" Came the technician's voice. "we lost control over the cameras; we can't shut off the broadcast!"

"What! How is that possible?!" Oobleck demanded as all of team RWBY and JNPR reached Jade.

"Sun! Is Jade alright?!" Ruby called out as Blake rushed in and pushed Sun aside before hugging an unresponsive Jade.

"Jade! I'm here! Please don't leave me!" She yelled between her sobbing.

"Yea! He's alright! His wounds are being patched up by himself as we speak! But…" Sun assured everyone as Jade could be heard mumbling something as Cinder's speech could be heard in the background.

"This is not a tragedy. This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be our guardians, but are, in reality, nothing more than men. Our Academies' Headmasters wield more power than most armies, and one was audacious enough to control both." Cinder gave a pause before she continued.

"They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? The headmaster hired a mercenary. The very same person you all supported to win the Festival. Are they so desperate to maintain their prestige when they are so willing to-" Cinder's speech was cut halfway as the screen fizzed out to General Ironwood and Ozpin.

"This is general Ironwood speaking here, everyone! Do not listen to her! All she is speaking of are lies to divide us up!"

"Everyone. I would ask that you all exit the stadium in a calm and orderly fashion." Ozpin was next to say before the screen cut out.

This got the desired effect as everyone began to evacuate though they were worried and confused about what was happening, as security guards began to search the area and escorted all the civilians to the air buses all while team RWBY and JNPR plus Sun all watched as Jade got to his feet.

"Get us to beacon…" Jade muttered as he wiped the blood from his mouth.

"Jade you are not! You are injured from that shot! Like hell I am going to lose you!" Blake then yelled at him.

"Time is against us as we speak Blake! This was Cinders plan all along! The fall of Beacon! We have to stop it."

"What!" Everyone yelled at once as Jade then broke from Blake's hug as picked up his guns on the floor while using his semblance to absorb up his own blood in the ground.

"Time is against us people! Worry about my health later… We got a kingdom to save." Jade then turned back in everyone then who nodded except Blake.

"Then how are we going to get there? Ruby then asked as bullheads could be seen in the skies.

"I got an idea." Jade just smirked.

"Also thanks for speeding up the healing Raph. I owe ya."

"Raph?" Raphael muttered with initial confusion before returning to focus.

"Never mind that. Yea no problem, can't have you die in me yet now can I?"

"Yep."

All of them then rushed onto one of the Bullheads stationed on the colosseum as Jade yelled at the pilot.

"Get us to Beacon now!"

"What Beacon?! Are you mad! That place is in chaos a-" The pilot argued back only for Jade to angrily retort back.

"We don't have time! We have to stop it or else the whole situation is going to get even worse!"

"Fine fine! Hang on kids, this is going to be a bumpy ride!" The pilot said as the Bullhead took off and began to fly towards Beacon.

"Thank you." Jade thanked him as he walked towards everyone else in the Bullhead.

"Jade? Howareyoualright? Imeanweallsawyougotshotand-" Ruby asked only for Jade to raise his hand.

"I guess it is my fault but my semblance can cover my wound and speed up its healing rate see?" Jade then pulled his shirt up to show that the bullet wound was covered by more metallic ribbons like a bandage. Though blood still could be seen stained on his body.

"Yea… so now what Ruby?" Weiss then asked.

"We land at Beacon and save as many lives as we can." Ruby said in a serious tone that caught everyone off guard as Bullheads could be seen firing at Nevermores in the skies and on the ground. Atlesian Mechs and soldiers could be seen firing on their own androids who had gone berserk and on the Grimm.

"This is madness…" Sun then mumbled as all of them watched the chaos.

"No… I see White Fang members among the fight." Blake mumbled as Yang held her shoulder.

"That means that the cells of Vale are active but… would the Fang actually do this?"

"No… they will never do this; I think it was Adam who would do this…"

"Pilot dude! How much longer till we reach Beacon?"

"Five more minutes ladies and gentlemen. This is a mess ya hear me?!"

"Yea just get us there in one piece!" Jade replied back as the pilot did an evasive manoeuvre to avoid a Nevermore.

"Guys! When we land, I want everyone to help the people evacuate and escort them to the airship!" Ruby then said in a commanding tone as everyone nodded.

"Ruby, I need to deal with Adam Taurus." Blake then said as Jade looked at her with shock.

"Blake! You can't be serious! There's no need to fight him!"

"I have to! He is my responsibility and I have to deal with it!"

"No you bloody don't! We need to get everyone out of here!"

"Both of you stop now! Blake I understand that you want to deal with Adam but, we need to get all the civilians out of here first. Then you can deal with him." Ruby then ordered both of them to stop.

"Very well then. If that's the case Blake, I will go with you. I can't see you get hurt." Jade sighed as the bullhead began to land.

"I guess that would have to do." Blake agreed.

"Well kids here is your stop! I will help get the people out of here! Good luck!" The pilot says as everyone on the Bullhead disembarks from it and makes a move to help everyone they could.

While running with Jade and killing any Grimm that got in their way... Blake at the time was shaking inside. Her sins of the past had finally caught up to her, and he is here. To finish what was left off from before. Blake swore that she could move on but… How can she when the past catches up to her and threatens to destroy her new life that she swore it would be better. No… she can't think that way, She would face that nightmare and move past it. She promised herself that. And Jade? He seems to have a reckless streak. She knows it, the time he took a bullet for her? Then rushing off ahead of everyone alone to stop the train alone?

It scares her.

Not because she does not have faith in Jade. No, it was because she knew in her heart that Jade was a selfless man who would bet his life to protect everyone he cares. She couldn't imagine a life without Jade. The man who taught her how to love again. The man who would fight to keep her safe. The man who taught her to not hide herself and accept herself without regrets. And the man who promised that they would be together till they both wither and die.

And so it scares her to the core that he would die from his selfless acts in this time of crisis. How would she take it if her second boyfriend were to die? Would she give up? Would she ever love again? No, she promised herself that she would become stronger. Not to improve herself. But to be strong enough so that she could watch his back as he does the same for her.

"Blake! Are you alright? You seemed… not here…" Jade could be seen in front of her as his voice laced with worry.

"I'm… I'm good Jade." she could only say back.

"Good because we got company." Jade then said as White Fang grunts could be seen rushing for cover and pointing their guns at them.

"Brothers of the Fang! What do you get for destroying Beacon? This does not help in getting us our rights!" Blake yelled at them as some of the grunts began to lower their guns till a couple of them yelled at the couple back.

"Adam Taurus has shown us that humanity would not accept us peacefully!"

"Violence is the only thing the world understands! So we will give them that!"

"It is producing the results we want! Humanity is treating us better because of it!"

"And that result would only see us as monsters that need to be oppressed or worse, purged you idiots!" Jade then yelled out, causing all the White Fang members in the vicinity to glare at Jade.

"Seriously?! Beacon treats us faunus as equals even though there were some unsavoury individuals in the end, everyone else accepts us! By destroying Beacon, you just made all of us targets for discrimination for the destruction of a huntsman academy and killing hundreds of faunus students who wanted to make a difference!" Jade exploded and rant as everyone, including Blake stared at him with shock.

"Don't listen to him! He has been brainwashed by them!" One of the higher rank members in the group yelled out.

"The only one brainwashed is you guys like seriously!" Jade yelled back as Grimm could be heard approaching the group.

"Jade, remind me that we need to work on your emotions once this mess is over." Blake muttered as Beowolves, Creeps and Ursas could be seen surrounding the group.

"Right… I will do that" Jade could only say as the White Fang grunts got nervous when they saw the amount of Grimm coming for them.

"No you won't." Raphael's voice could be heard in Jade's head.

"Really though… I did not expect you to suddenly rant and attract that many Grimm to us."

"How about this? We have a ceasefire as there are a whole lot of Grimm her or, both of us could leave you to your fate. How about that?" Jade then gave an offer to the members of the Fang.

"What! We will never accept it!" The Sargent yelled back at the feline couple.

"You can't be serious sergeant! We need their help against this many Grimm coming for us!" One of the grunts yelled at his superiors.

"Yes I agree! The Grimm are the bigger threat now and they gave us an offer to help us! So accept it!" Another grunt could be heard yelling at his superiors and the others joined in.

"Fine! But I got my eyes on you two!" The Sergeant relented as the Grimm rapidly approaches their location.

"Eh… Good enough. Blake?" Jade then shrugged as Blake nodded back.

In a second, both dash in and begin to slaughter Beowolves, Creeps and Ursa while the White Fang begrudgingly gives fire support to not get abandoned and turned into Grimm chowder.

"Blake! Ursa!" Jade yelled

"On it!" She yelled back.

The Ursa swung down on Blake only for her to vanish as Blake was on it and slashed its eye and jumped off it as the Ursa tried to sweep her off it. Jade then dashed in and rodeo it while it was distracted before blasting its remaining eye out. The ursa then roared in pain as it collapsed and disintegrated.

"Oh how I love when a plan works out so well." Jade smiled as he jumped off the dead ursa as the White Fang members finished off the remaining Grimm in the vicinity.

"Well that looks like that's all of them for now… but what should we do with them?" Blake then mumbled as both of them approached the grunts.

"Leave it to me." Jade just whispers to Blake as she nods.

"Well then… I find it unsavoury to attack you guys after we helped each other in dealing with the Grimm. So… Can we part ways and pretend that we never met each other?" Jade then asked as he extended his hand out to them.

The sergeant then stared at Jade's hand before sighing. "Very well… I suppose we can do that…" He then shook Jade's hand.

"Now get out of here before we change our minds."

"Got it. Take care I guess?" Jade then ran off with Blake tagging behind him.

"Why did you let them go?" Blake then asked Jade.

"At this point, it is not worth it to fight them when Beacon is getting invaded by the Grimm. And besides, I do find it unsavoury to attack people when I just worked with them."

It was then in which the couple reached the dining halls when they heard a wounded scream coming from within the burning interior of the dining hall. It was then in which both of them saw someone throwing an Atlas soldier aside like trash.

"No… Adam?" Blake could only say in horror as Adam turned and faced her.

"Hello, my darling." Adam greeted his 'lover' as he could be seen grinning like a maniac as Jade pulled out his weapon and readies up for a fight.

"So you are the man that tried to recruit me all those years ago…" Jade snarled as his mask formed on his face.

"Ah… Jade Grayson… so this is where you have been. How nice of you to bring my darling back to me…"

"She is not your darling anymore…" Jade growled.

"And who are you to take her away from me."

"Adam… Why… Why do this?! All of this?!" Blake then yelled.

"You and I were going to change the world, remember? We were destined to light the fires of revolution!" Adam then stomps on a downed Atlas student's chest before continuing on. "Consider this... the spark."

"No you don't!" Jade then yelled as he dashed in.

Jade's blades clash with Adam's as he shoves him back from the injured student as their blades locked again.

"Is that what you've become, my love? A coward? Having to rely on someone else to fight for you?"

"Don't you dare say that about her!" Jade yelled as he pushed Adam's blade aside before sending a kick to his chest.

Adam quickly recovers from that kick before Blake dashes in and tries to slash him. Only for Adam to block and parry Blakes attack.

"I'm… no… coward… anymore!" She then kicked him in the back of the knee as Jade dashed in and hit Adam straight in the face with is fist.

"I got my friends with me! I got Jade the man I loved! I will never run! NEVER AGAIN!" Blake gave one hell of a boast as Jade could only smile underneath his mask at Blake as a person as Raphael manifested and clapped before vanishing.

"You will suffer for your betrayal, my love. And I will make an example out of both of you." Adam growled as he got to his feet again as the couple readies themselves.

"Bring it." Jade said as both of them nodded at each other before dashing in towards Adam.

Jade fired his shot at Adam while Blake closed in towards Adam. Adam dodged and parried some of Jade shots before slashing down in Blake. As he does it, Blake vanishes from the slash, as Jade dashed in and dropped kicked Adam in the face. Adam then stumbles back as Blake then shows up from behind and slashes Adam in the back causing him to yell in pain before running past him as Jade fires his guns at him to cover Blake.

"All I want is you, Blake. Come back." Adam pleaded in his own ways as Blake turned Gambol Shroud into a sickle and shot at him as he clashed with Jade.

"Never! I moved on! And I come to accept that you are mad and need to be stopped! And that my dreams of equality and peace are worth fighting for till I die!"

Adam seemingly taking offence to that yells back as he shoves Jade back. "What you want is impossible!" Adam then slashes at Jade as he dodges and blocks to the best he could.

"And as I set out upon this world and deliver the justice mankind so greatly deserves, I will make it my mission to destroy everything you love! Starting with him!" Adam then used his semblance and unleashed a wave of energy at Jade who could not dodge it in time.

Jade then blocked the energy wave as both Thorn and Lumina started to have cracks forming on it before being thrown back by the pure force behind it. Jade could only scream as he flew and slammed his back against the walls and groaned in pain as he faded into unconsciousness.

"Jade!" Blake cried out as she glared at Adam with unbridled rage in her eyes.

Adam however could only laugh at the scene. "You fell in love with him? A weakling?" He then dashed in for slice Blake only for her to transform her Sickle into a sword and parry his attack.

"He is stronger than you think! And he does not go down this easily!" She yelled as both of them exchange attacks all while parrying and blocking.

Adam slashed Blake as she dodged it and sent shots at him as he blocked her bullets. Adam then dodged back and fired his rifle at Blake. Blake however had learned a few tricks while sparing with Jade in their free time. She then deflected a shot fired by Adam right back at him as it hit him square in the head. Adam recoiled back as his aura flickered from the impact as Blake then transformed Gambol Shroud into a sickle and hooked around Adam's leg before pulling and tripping him to the ground with a thud and groan of pain.

"Remember… Sometimes the best thing to do is to disarm your opponents to gain a huge advantage. Like our glorious leader Ruby Rose. She is dangerous with her scythe, but without it? She would go down no problem." Jade's advice could be heard in her head as she dashed in close.

Adam, realising that Blake is charging at him, tried to get to his feet and send a slash to her, only for Blake to kick his sword aside before stepping on his hand as he yelled in pain on the ground.

"It is over Adam! You lost!" she yelled as she pants rapidly.

*Groan* "You won nothing… Beacon has fallen and sooner than later… I will destroy everything you loved… in time…" Adam then groaned again on the ground as Blake glared daggers into him.

"Not this time…" She muttered before stomping on his face which knocked him out.

"Blake!" Yang called her as she rushed in.

However Blake did not respond to Yang only to collapse to her knees with tears of joy in her eyes. She did it. She finally did it. She beat her nightmares of the past coming back to bite her and now? He lies unconscious in front of her.

"Blake! Are you alright?" Yang asked as she gave Blake a hug.

"Yea… I did it… Where's Jade..." She then looked at Yang as Jade could be seen limping towards them.

"Congrats Blake… You did it… I'm proud of ya..." Jade then limped towards them both as he held onto his dislocated right arm.

Blake could only smile as she drifted to sleep from her fight against Adam. But it was worth it to her.

Blake! Oh… she must be really tired, hey Yang. Can you lend me a hand here and help me pop my arm back into place?"

"Sure but this will hurt." Yang said as he laid Blake on the ground before rushing towards Jade to help him out

"Yea yea just cou- OW! What happened to counting before doing it?!" Jade let out a yelp as Yang forcefully relocated his arm.

"Oh just shut up about it. I'm glad that both of you are alright. We are evacuating Beacon right now." Yang said with urgency in her voice as she helped him back on his feet.

"Uh… Yang can you help me bring Blake back to everyone. I need to check on the guy over there." Jade then pointed at the Atlesian student who was still there.

"Also... Yang." He said as Yang picked up the exhausted Blake from the ground.

"Yea Jade?"

"When she wakes up… tell her to never leave a team no matter what happens here or to me."

"That is… oddly specific don't you think?"

"Just trust me alright? Now go. I will catch up. Go!"

Yang just nodded as she took the unconscious Blake away from the ruined dining hall and towards the safe zone as Jade walked towards the unconscious Adam on the ground and pulled a gun pointed directly to his head.

"Wait! Jade don't shoot him! He has a part to play which needs him alive." Raphael quickly materials in front of Jade.

"What use is a mad man? It is better off to kill him before he causes too much trouble for us."

"I agree. But we need him to act as a catalyst to reunite the people of Menagerie so that both you and Blake can join team RWBY at Haven academy."

"Haven? So what? I just leave him here?"

"Ehh… he would be fine. Though his ego would not and high chance he goes off the rails and insane."

…

"Fine. He gets to live, for now."

Jade kept his gun before checking on the Atlesian student. It turned out he was too late as the student had bled out from Adam's stabbing into him.

"Damn... We are too late…" Jade muttered.

"Don't forget… you should head for where Pyrrha is, at the top of Beacon. And be quick, the Grimm wyvern is approaching our location!" Raphael then appeared next to him.

Jade then did something that Raphael really disliked. He formed a tendril from his sleeves to absorb the blood on the ground from the dead student.

"Dude… at least leave the dead body alone! Like really?! I know why you did it but come on dude."

"Raph, at this point, I need whatever advantage I can get to get Pyrrha out alive. Penny is fine as she did not get murdered by Pyrrha. Now with the Wyvern you mentioned that is coming here? I need to do it to save Pyrrha and get us both safe." Raphael just closed his eyes as he thought through it.

Raphael then opened his eyes after some time and spoke. "Very well… and I will be with you along the way. Since we are going to fight a full-strength maiden… I will supply you with as much aura as I could give to you. We're going to need it."

"And I'm counting on you to be with me till the end. Brother." Jade smiled as Raphael gave a shocked look.

"Brother… a word I haven't heard in a long time… to think you see me as your brother after everything we had been through this couple of months... Thank you… now let's go. We got people to save." Raphael then gave Jade a smile before vanishing.

Jade then ran through the ruins of Beacon as he killed many Grimm in his way. It was then that a roar could be heard which forced Jade to stop and cover his ears as he grunted in pain as to how loud it was.

"Jade! Watch out for the black ooze! Those spawn more Grimm!" Raphael yelled as the Wyvern Grimm flew over them and Black ooze could be seen all around Jade.

It was then in which the ooze reforms itself into Beowolves, Ursas and Creeps which all growled at Jade. Jade however, was not impressed.

"Bring it."

And with those words, Jade dashed in and became a flurry of death for any Grimm that got too close to him. Beowolves being sliced in half, Ursas losing their heads as Jade jumps from Ursa to Ursa. And creepers being crushed before him. All while Raphael supplies him with aura to keep going.

"Jade, we need to get to the towers now! We don't have much time!"

"Got it!" Jade yelled as he then used his semblance as a slingshot. With him being the ball.

In an instant. Jade launched himself at ridiculous speeds towards the top of the ruined tower.

"Do you believe in destiny?" Pyrrha then stares as she stares back at Cinder.

Cinder just frowned as she narrowed her eyes. "Yes."

Cinder stands back up and forms an obsidian bow and arrow again. She pulls back the arrow, lowering the bow to aim at her weakened opponent. Pyrrha just sat with her eyes closed, accepting the fate that awaits her. Cinder losses the arrow. But…

It did not land. Instead there was a sound of Cinder grunting in pain as well as footsteps. Pyrrha confused as to what had happened opened her eyes to see a very familiar figure standing in front of her.

"You…" Cinder growled as she got up.

"Jade?"

"Can't stop getting into trouble can ya? Get rest, let me deal with her." Jade told Pyrrha without looking at her all while staring back at Cinder.

"To think that the shot back in the colosseum would have stopped you in your tracks.

"It did. For a while, but I got better."

"No matter, I will change that." Cinder smiled as she pulled back her bow.

"Raphael. Where the hell is Ruby?" Jade mentally asked Raphael.

"I have no idea. She should be here but... where is she?"

"Guess we got to hold out yea?"

"Yea… This is literally a hold the line kind of situation."

"Jade! You cannot fight here! Go! Leave me!" Pyrrha then yelled as Jade readies his guns which have obvious cracks on them.

"Fuck no! I will not leave you behind!" Jade yelled back as Cinder released her bow.

"Jade then blocked it with his semblance as he then fired shots at her. Cinder then made a fire wall in front of her which incinerated all of Jade's shots much to his initial surprise.

"You cannot beat me Jade! I possess the full powers of the fall maiden and today, I will end your nuisance right here right now!

"So that others may live…" Jade muttered before using tendrils to pick up rubble of what was once Ozpin's office before throwing it at Cinder. Cinder just sends a wave of fire that melts all the rubble away as Jade manages to close the distance and send a kick to her head but she just shrugs it off.

Cinder then slams her palm into Jade's chest which sends him flying as he lands on his feet as Jade stabs the ground to stop himself from moving. Cinder then decides to push the pressure on Jade as she attempts to stab Jade with her swords only for Jade to parry her and elbow her face before doing a backflip while kicking her in the face at the same time.

Cinder getting really irritated that Jade had stopped her from killing Pyrrha sent a volley of fireballs at Jade, Jade then dodges the fireballs as it explodes behind him. (Don't worry about Pyrrha, she crawled to safety as Jade was distracting Cinder.)

Jade then used his semblance to bind Cinder, only for her to burn it.

"Oh just my luck…" Jade mentally grumbled as a roar could be heard behind him.

"Oh fuck my life…" Jade muttered as he turned back to Cinder who nearly hit him with a fireball to the face but he dodged it and it hit the wyvern in the face instead (BRUH moment for Cinder right there!)

Cinder then dashed in and punched him in the face, the force behind that punch sent Jade flying back as his mask cracked and broke. Jade then rolled back to his feet just in time to knee Cinder in the chest before kicking her in the face back. Jade then used his semblance to grab and throw Cinder back. She just landed on her feet before she started to levitate as fire could be seen jetting off her feet.

"Forgive me Jade… I have run out of aura to give you… I'm sorry…" Raphael's voice seemed to fade out towards the end as Jade stumbled slightly from the sudden loss of energy supplying him.

"You have done your best. I will hold out without you."

Cinder then propels herself towards Jade with an intention to slam into Jade's abdomen. Jade just punched her in the face which knocked her out of her levitation as she crashed into the rubbles. Jade then leaped into the air and plunged both his swords into Cinder's chest. But Cinder's vast aura and maiden powers kept her from having two swords shoved into her torso.

Jade then rolled away while dropping his grenades on her which detonated. This resulted in Cinder being covered in smoke and electricity. However Cinder just released a blast of flames around her which cleared off the electric smoke.

"You cannot win!" Cinder yelled as she began to lose her patience with Jade who stubbornly refused to die.

"I know!" Jade admitted which caught Cinder off guard before grabbing her shoulder and bashed her face in with the pommel of one of his swords before dodging back as Cinder sent a wave of fire that hit Jade as it engulfs him in burning fire.

Jade was fine mostly (due to aura) from the flames but his clothes were smouldered as well as parts of his shit were burned off. All while enduring the heat as Cinder charges at him

Cinder having enough of Jade, sends one powerful slash down as he blocks it with his swords until…

Lumina's blade gave way and shattered much to Jade's surprise as Cinder's own blade slashed his face. Jade could only yell in pain as dashed back as he grabbed his own face which had blood flowing down and dripping off his face.

"Jade!" Pyrrha could be heard in the corner.

As Jade removed his hand from his face, a vertical slash could be seen on his left side of his face and through his eyes rendering him blind in it, all while glaring at Cinder with anger.

Metallic ribbons could be seen wrapping around the scar on his eye as he readies with Thorn in sword mode.

"Oh you've done it now…" Jade growled as he went into a single-handed stance.

Cinder just smiled as she then dashes in at Jade for another slash. Jade however, used his free hand to grab Cinder's arm before headbutting her in the nose before he tried to send a kick to Cinder's head. Cinder however, recovered faster than Jade anticipated and she caught his foot before throwing Jade face first into a wall.

"Ow…" Jade could only groan as he stood up to avoid another volley of fire only for Cinder to jet in close and grabbed Jade by the throat while in the air, all while Cinder began to choke him slowly.

Realising that he was in trouble, Jade struggled for a bit before reverse gripping Thorn and attempting to stab Cinder in the face. But, Cinder saw it coming and lopped off his left hand before preparing the final blow to end this nuisance of hers that bothered her for months on end.

Pyrrha could only gasp in horror as Jade cried out in pain at the loss of his hand. At the same time, Ruby had finally reached the top of the tower, landing in a kneeling position. She looks upon the scene with her own horror as Cinder then plunges her sword through Jade's chest. All while blood began to spill from his wound and mouth.

Jade could only let out a blood curdling scream as Cinder removed her sword from his chest and dropped his body to the ground, all while Jade weakly squirmed in the ground as he could only grab the amber necklace around his neck and mutter, all while tears could be seen pouring from his eyes as it began to droop.

"Forgive me… Blake… I'm sorry..."

"JADE!"

And with that scream, a brilliant silver light shone throughout the dark night.

"WHAT!" Cinder shouted in disbelief as the blinding light continued to spread out from Ozpin's ruined office.

When the light receded, only Pyrrha was barely conscious after seeing what had happened. She had just witnessed Jade gave his life for her. She should have died and accepted her fate but… He stopped it, at the cost of his life. Pyrrha then began to feel tears pour from her eyes as she watched Jade's motionless body with only one emotion in her mind.

Guilt.

"I'm sorry…"

Qrow then finally showed up later only to find an unconscious little red riding hood, the invincible girl crying and a motionless and bloodied ex-mercenary whose missing an eye and hand.

Author's Notes

Oh boy, and we are now done with the fall of Beacon. There will be some interlude chapters before we resume back into canon. Somewhat.

Anyways, let's move on to some stuff I'd like to talk about.

First of all, we have Raphael assisting Jade in his recovery. Raphael still has his aura intact so he can share it with his host. (Aka Jade) So Raphael basically used his aura to speed up Jade's recovery. Of course it would still hurt to have your wound heal rapidly. I think… Anyways.

Next is the scene in which both Blake and Jade had an argument about whether to confront Adam Taurus or not. I'll be honest Blake would always take responsibility to Adam whether Jade agrees with it or not. And so Jade's argument that Blake is my way to show that, not even their relationship is perfect and that there is still a bit of argument between the two.

What's next is the conflict between the faunus couple and some White Fang. This was my attempt that, sometimes. You gotta work with people you hate, in this case. Huntsman and Huntresses and terrorists working together against a common enemy.

Next is Blake winning against Adam. I admit. I have doubts whether you guys would like how I portrayed how Blake could beat Adam with the help of Jade during the fight. Or how I show how Blake felt when she finally beat Adam, her mentor. Feel free to tell me how you all felt about it.

Finally. The fight between a fall maiden Cinder versus Jade. As you all read. It did not go well for Jade. Let's be honest. He stands no chance against Cinder but did it anyways because Jade could not stand the thought of losing his friends. He also relied on Ruby to arrive to save them. And as you saw, she came much later than usual so he lost an eye and a hand. Oh yeah. Did I mention he is literally a gateway from death?
